I had never been into a Pizza Ranch. My first impression was clean. There was one staff member constantly cleaning. The next was courteous. The cleaning employee was picking up empty plates from diners (very nice when he came by my table) visiting briefly with customers as he worked. The men's bathroom was clean. The salad bar has lots of variety. It's a decent salad bar with lots of veggies, salads (macaroni, potato, etc), pudding, numerous dressings and two kinds of soup. There is also desert pizza (very tasty) and soft serve ice cream. Also, it appears drinks come with the price of the adult buffet. I paid $12.99 for the adult lunch buffet on a Thursday. Apparently they are mindful of disinfecting because the cleaning person (who I just heard say he owns the store) put a disinfecting sign on a table that needed to be cleaned and the sign stayed there till the table was wiped down. I think they care here. I'll be back!

Not bad at all. Veterans discount. Came with drink. The fried chicken was really good. The pizza was better than I expected. I would eat here again.

When I went there yesterday, it was crazy busy with barely anywhere to sit down. We let the woman at the Cash Register know where we wanted to sit but the table wasn't cleaned yet. She got a hold of another employee immediately and they got the table cleared in no time. There was an issue where a lady picked up a $20 bill on the ground that fell (supposed to be a worker's tip). They then shouted something along the lines that they found the money and they wouldn't give the worker the $20 due to the tables not being cleared and the place a mess. I was thinking to myself that maybe if they were that worried about it they could put in an application. Then again with that attitude they probably wouldn't last long in any workplace. The place was crazy busy and short staffed yet the food was coming out at a good pace and the workers were catching up on clearing the tables. They did a great job and shouldn't have to worry about rude customers that make teenage workers cry that are just trying to make money and help people in most likely their first job.

It was all upsetting. The two sauces we got were super small for a family size. The cookie cake looks burnt, the cheese bread is not dripping cheese it looks dry. The pizza was OK but it could’ve been better. Overall I would not come again and do not recommend. The garlic sauce I ordered just taste like butter no garlic.

Overly expensive for just three people. Everything was overcooked and slightly burnt. The chicken tasted fake, the bar was bare, there was no labels on any of the pizzas (I thought I was getting cheese but it ended up getting a very spicy chicken pizza). The only enjoyable thing here was the ice cream, though it was only vanilla. Will not go here again.

Pizza selection was seriously lacking. At least 2 pizzas had pineapple on them, and no cheese or pepperoni pizza was available. Only ended up having salad bar, chicken, and cheese sticks. Peach dessert pizza was really good though.

The food was spot on with being an excellent they were so busy and they still managed to keep up pretty well with the supply pizzas. Absolutely love the chicken.

Best chicken I have had in awhile. They even have coffee ready to serve yourself! Staff will ask you if you have any pizza you would like specially made and give you a number then bring it too you.

Salad bar was a disaster. The dressing bottles were. A mess. The dessert pizza crust was not baked done. It was slimy dough that wasn’t done Women’s bathroom only had one working sink. I used the large stall as I waited in line it opened. The floor next to the wallboard was black with dirt and the wallboard covered in dirt. Up above the board trim was also covered with dirt and white sheet rock looking dust. Floor in food area was slick and felt greasy beneath my feet . The food tasted good

If I could give it a 0 star rating I would. My Husband and I tried to give this place another shot after a bad experience back in July. Nothing has improved and it has gotten tremendously worse! The staff have attitudes as if they don't care and the restraunt shows it. There is never pizza on the buffet, utensils and napkins are never stocked, dessert buffet station is not in service, dinning room and buffet area is filthy. We ended up having to put our dirty plates on another table as they fail to come collect them in a timely manner. Employees seem to be lost as to what to do or they are not sure what to do. We came back to this place after a long break hoping it would get better and its really sad to see how much it declined as it used to be our favorite place in town. How does a pizza place not even have the basic pizza's on the pizza bar (cheese/pepperoni) ? Increddibly disappointing especially have paying about 15 dollars a pop just for a pizza buffet. Don't waste your time or money on this place. Go enjoy a steak!

I'll be the one to say it; this place is kinda weird. I went for the first time last week and for all the talk I hear about it I was severely underwhelmed. I'll start with the food... Some of the food was mildly questionable in appearance, the lettuce I got for my salad was a bit soggy and looked like it was on its way out. Unfortunately if I pay $15.99 for a buffet I'm going to have to try most items just so I won't feel like I accepted a bad deal. The pizza seemed like it was made with a minimal amount of sauce and the cheese was a little tough, but to be honest it tasted fine. My personal favorite quality of this restaurant was the staff, most of them seemed like they had no idea what they were supposed to be doing. They were just randomly wandering around the store, and it made it nearly impossible to navigate the whole place. Also I'm pretty sure their ice cream machine will dispense some frozen cool whip, which is honestly pretty disgusting.

For $17.50 a person the food was not up to par. It's Pizza ranch but the best thing about the place was the fried chicken. It took 30 minutes after we arrived for them to make more options and what was sitting out was very overdone or you could tell it's been sitting out for hours. I would suggest equivalating price with quality of food, which is not $17.50 cents. Nice staff, poor variety, trash quality.

I really enjoyed the pizza and mashed potatoes. The pizza wasn't very hot, but had a good flavor. The mac & cheese wasn't very good either. The manager that was at the register was very professional though and actually walked around the restaurant and checked with all his occupied tables. The staff overall was very friendly and that counts for 1/2 of the overall dining experience (in my opinion). Thank you!

It is just a great pizza buffet. Very nice staff! You can order a whole pizza for your table! Although, they will not let you pull a chair up to the dessert pizza bar! 🥺 Something about sharing! 😤 Will be going back!! If you see me with my chair up to the dessert bar, they will bring you your own!! 😁 Love it!

Dont bother going unless you are trying to make grandma and grandpa happy. Food is pretty bad, but the service is friendly. Neat atmosphere but please you shouldnt have to worry about breaking a tooth on mashed potatos. There are so many better places to get fried chicken or pizza why bother coming here? Old folks seem to love it though, so good for them.

It was delicious. They have a smaller buffet than other places but they pizza is pretty good. They have a decent salad bar. Their chicken is tasty and their bread sticks are amazing. I don't know what it was but they desert pizza I got was super good. Will be going back.

Food is way over priced..2 adults and 1 kid over 50 bucks..their pizza is about the same quality as Chuck E cheese... they had barbecue chicken on the menu but they quit making it so if you request it ..... guess what ...they charge you extra...NOT WORTH THE MONEY... the only thing good is they have plenty of parking Im guessing dude to lack of customers....

Update: After speaking with one of the managers, we were invited to try dinner again. We ate at 1:30 on a Thursday. The chicken was plentiful and juicy (a bit salty). There were 3 well cooked desserts and they were nearly full. The pizza was plentiful and my husband said it was good as well as the salad bar. The vegetables were ok. The coffee was tasty and hot enough. I think our local restaurants are doing the best they can with all that's been happening. Original post: I was craving chicken wings and finally decided Pizza Ranch as they have always had the best. There were only a few pieces of chicken and two wings so I waited until they brought out more (I had to ask a manager). I wanted to wait to see how long it was going to take which caused me to go past the lunch price by 15 minutes (my bad I guess). They were dry and tasteless. Then I had to ask for a dessert pizza. There was one there with three pieces. Should have been more. The coffee was lukewarm. The coke zero was the only good thing. There were 3 managers/owners there. How could they not see things weren't up to par? Even without them the buffet should have been better stocked (other items were low). I was really looking forward to my lunch/dinner and it was a waste of time and money.

Food was okay, I found a Pizza Ranch in FL it was great, went several times while on vacation. 😁 this one in St Joe was fairly new place and I was so excited to find it. Wasn't happy with food,, very disappointed. Pasta was dry and hard, sauce was over cooked and had been out way too long. Thankfully the salad bar was stocked because it was the only thing stocked. Pizza was nasty, no chicken, no dessert, had to ask and wait for desserts. They were cold when finally stocked. Unfortunate!

Drove to St. Joseph to try this location. We had been to a few others in KS and MO. Needless to say it was not the best experience. We were promptly waited on, but when choosing our table we noticed how utterly filthy the restaurant was. There were not many customers there when we arrived, but the whole place looked destroyed. The salad bar was a mess, the other stations were okay but did not see staff doing any cleaning or restocking. No one was coming around to gather dirty plates. About thirty minutes passed before a worker came out and wiped off a few tables, but wiped everything onto the floor. She finally came around to gather dirty dishes from tables, but we saw another worker, maybe a manager talking to her briefly before that. He then started to help with cleaning the dining area. Cleanliness is definitely not their strength at this location. I don’t think we will return.

Their chicken is delicious and I loved their mashed potatoes and baked beans. They didn’t have much of anything at the salad bar as it was all used up and they didn’t refill it the whole time we were there. Well over an hour. The floors were absolutely filthy but the tables were clean. I ordered a pizza that we never received. There’s wasn’t much staff at all either. I ended up not eating any of the pizza because it all looked very over cooked and dry. If you like root beer floats though, make one! It’s delish!

Nice buffet style serving many kinds of pizzas, chicken, and salads. Has a soda machine and coffees. Icecream with peach slices were satisfying dessert for me. Welcoming staff with great service. Very clean restroom.

Pizza Ranch is a wonderful buffet. The pizza is good, but the chicken is definitely the winner! The salad bar is impressive also. We went 20 miles out of our way to eat here.

Our bus load of Branson tourists needed fed and watered on our way home to Nebraska. Good food, fountain drinks! The ice cream machine was busy! No coffee. Bathroom not so good. Needs cleaned. One sink not working.

This is the worst pizza ranch I’ve ever been to. The floors were filthy! Not only did we ask the young gentleman to clean a booth for us since we had little kids and he replied with a no it’s not clean yet……… but when we ordered our suggested pizza we never received it at our table and we were there for an over an hour thank goodness we didn’t wait on it. The food was good but there were so many people there we literally had to wait for anything to be cooked. Most likely will not return… ever.
