This hotel is phenomenal- the staff are beyond amazing. The level of customer care is probably the best I’ve encountered in recent years. We stayed in a room with access to the business lounge. The only downside is that it’s so good you hardly need to leave the hotel. The hotel has biggest hotel gym I’ve ever seen. Covering pretty much any exercise need. A big thank you to the staff. In someways it’s like going back in time - to when hotels really need care about the customer, rather - where the actions really need match the words.

This is my second stay at the intercontinental Malta and this is clearly the last time I’m coming to this hotel. This stay is really different from the first one (before covid). The quality of the service went down so I would definitely not recommend to choose this hotel if you are looking to go in Malta. For me when I’m choosing a hotel, the room cleanliness is my first priority and in the Intercontinental Malta it is really a shame. First of all, when I arrived, they gave me one of the worst room that I could possibly have. It was extremely noisy and not well cleaned. I had to go the reception in order to have a new room. The second room was okay but the cleaning was extremely disappointing. I had to complain twice to the reception which is unacceptable for a 5 star hotel. Every day, he/she forget to give me all the basic towels that you can find in a 3 star hotel. Moreover, there is a card that you can put on the bed which means that they should change the sheets during the cleaning. I put this card everyday before the cleaning and he/she probably did it once during my stay (5 nights). The room was also not very clean overall. Not was it used to be in the past. Don’t look at the past comments, it doesn’t reflect the actual service of the hotel.

This is definitely not a five star hotel. I can not recommend it as a five star hotel. The entrance looks great. But the stuff at the reception is not really friendly, they now everything better-even if they doing something wrong. Check your bill when leaving- our was wrong and needed be corrected 3 times which needed approximately 45 minutes by checking out. This reflects the service at the beach and pool bar. The bar and Bartenders at the lobby are really friendly and professional.-by the way also Katerina /Guest relation Team. She tries to talk and apologize everything and really professional. Beside of that the hotel is missing years of renovation and maintenance. You can find a lot of detailed information in the google comments. Sorry but this is not what you are expected by staying at a five star Intercontinental hotel

There is so much building going on in the area which was noisy and dusty. Scary to watch too. This hotel is no different as they are extending. Woken at 6 am one morning by drilling. There's a nice pool on level 10 with staff to bring you food and drink. There used to be really good views but with all the buildings sprouting up around it is limited as well as being cast in shadow earlier. There is another pool on the 19th floor but as we were told there was a charge we gave it a miss. Did use the indoor one were there is also a sauna and steam room, supposed to be a quiet area but on one visit there was a group of small, very noisy kids. Why must kids scream so much. Rooms were good and beds comfortable and the hotel has some nice outdoor seating areas. Arthur is in the centre the noise from outside is not really heard. Having been to Malta several times it is a shame to see so many new hotels going up. However I get that tourism is their main source of income but it has lost its charm a bit. If you stay here, get the vintage bus to Valletta. Great fun and Valletta still retains that charm.

The hotel itself is on a good location on the island, however it can be noisy because it’s close to the clubs and bars. The rooms are spacious, but can use a small refreshment. The building itself and some inside areas definitely need an update.

We recently had an amazing week with my family at the Intercontinental Malta. It was our first time in Malta and we were a family of three. The hotel itself was beautiful and our room was spacious and well-decorated, providing us with a perfect place to unwind after a busy day exploring Malta. What really made our stay special was the amazing staff. Anita from the reservations team was particularly exceptional. She went above and beyond to make sure that everything was perfect for us. Pradeep, the manager of the breakfast restaurant, was also fantastic. He was so kind and caring with my little one and made sure that we were all comfortable during our meals. The food was also top-notch. The breakfast buffet was amazing and had so many options to choose from. Overall, our stay at the Intercontinental Malta was absolutely unforgettable. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and relaxing holiday. Thank you to all of the staff who made our stay so special!

Breakfast food and service was great. However the half board evening meal was from a set menu with little variation during the week so became repetitive and boring although the quality of the food was good. The beach was good just had to be there before 10.30 to get a sunbed. Lovely warm indoor pool and huge gym. Staff were great in all areas.

My husband and son are staying at the Malta intercontinental and it’s the best experience of customer service we’ve ever had. The customer relations team especially Joao went out of their way to make my little boys birthday special even though I couldn’t be there for health reasons. They did so many cute surprises on the day. He is thrilled and having the absolute best time at this hotel! Furthermore the cleanliness and appearance of the hotel is just stunning. They’ve enjoyed every minute and sad to leave tomorrow. Thanks for everything team.

I recently stayed at the Intercontinental and had a disappointing experience. The check-in receptionist was unwelcoming, and the initial room’s location posed challenges for my sister’s mobility. Although the hotel changed our room, the replacement had a persistent smell, causing health concerns. Despite our requests, the odor persisted, and we discovered a mold issue on the last day, posing a serious health hazard. Throughout our stay, it had been reported to reception and the housekeeping team attempted to address the problem, but their efforts fell short. I, being asthmatic, found the situation distressing and unhealthy. Unfortunately, the hotel’s response to our complaints made us feel dismissed and labeled as bothersome guests. Moreover, I had arranged for a birthday cake for my sister, A PAID SERVICE confirmed via email. However, the reception team questioned the legitimacy of the celebration, creating an uncomfortable atmosphere. While Tatiana was accommodating, the overall customer service was below par for a purported 5-star hotel. Having stayed in various 5-star establishments globally, this experience was subpar, and I won’t consider returning. It is unacceptable to accommodate guests in rooms with mold issues, and the lack of genuine concern from the staff is disheartening. The Intercontinental fell short of its reputation, leaving me extremely unhappy and disappointed.

I was recently staying at IC Malta and I can say that it is a 5-star hotel. The staff was remarkably helpful and kind, going above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay. The suite was luxurious, offering a perfect blend of elegance and comfort. The pool view added an extra layer of tranquility, making it a truly unforgettable stay. Highly recommend for those seeking top-notch service and a picturesque setting.

I agree with the other reviewers that the building needs renovating, but the hotel staff is AMAZING! My husband and I have stayed in many Intercontinental hotels, but the attentiveness of the staff here out-shines them all. Smiling, intuitive and glad to assist - for us, that's the icing on the cake which completes a memorable vacation.

The staff are out of this world. Polite, friendly helpful above and beyond. Unfortunately the location of the hotel was not for us. Rooms are immaculate. The lounge was the best we have been in.

Highly recommend! The rooftop pool was great. Sadly the middle pool was closed so there were a lot of kids so something to check. Top tips: head to the roof pool around 9:30/10 for the lounges and if you are an Ambassador, you can check out at 4pm. Would come again in high season

I was here for work and the staff was both friendly and very professional. I felt more than welcome. Can't say anything for rooms but I did spend an afternoon up at the Beach club, rooftop pool area. Clean, nice looking. We had an catering area set off just for our production, very nice looking with tentative staff and the food provided I'd give 4/5.

Very big hotel at St. Julian’s with a nice beach and 2 outdoor pools and one indoor. Indoor was unfortunately closed when we were there. Rooms are nice, inside terrace looks beautiful. When constractions around the hotel will finish it will be a nice place. Unfortunately during the day you can hear the construction noise. Breakfast is reach and good. Only one suggestion would be great to have a tap and shower with running water at beach to clean your feet, body after leaving the beach.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience during at this hotel. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and professionalism by the staff. The room was immaculately clean thanks to Sunil. The attention to detail in the decor and amenities truly elevated our stay. What truly set this hotel apart, though, was the exceptional service. The staff went above and beyond to cater to our needs, ensuring that we felt like a valued guest throughout our stay. From the concierge who helped us plan daily excursions to the restaurant staff like Njemba who crafted exquisite meals, every interaction was marked by genuine care and attention. The on-site facilities were also top-notch. We enjoyed relaxing and having fun in the pool and at the beach. The hotel's central location made it easy for us to explore the local attractions, and the concierge provided valuable insights and recommendations that enhanced our overall experience. Overall, our stay at this hotel exceeded all expectations. The combination of impeccable service, stunning accommodations, and thoughtful touches made it a truly unforgettable getaway.

Spent a week in the hotel, nice enough hotel but it really is a 4 star not a 5 star as advertised. Hotel is adjacent to a busy construction site and the pool area is overlooked by construction cranes and noise from the site. The rooms were adequate but the view onto the side street was very disappointing, there was a bit of a smell from the room 1329 on arrival and even after a few days like damp. The staff were great and the breakfast was very good, The lifts were absolutely infuriating, that are hopelessly under capacity to service 19 floors, each time you wish to use the lifts it would take 10 to 15 minutes. And the stairs was not an option as it was only a fire stairs. Overall if found the hotel disappointing and it is in no way a 5 star hotel or experience.

The breakfast was amazing, the is staff helpfull and kind and we loved the spacious standard room. The pool area had stunning views and we had really nice time in the heated pool. Keep in mind that the hotel is pretty big and there are only a few elevators, some of them are shared with the shopping mall visitors, but we didn’t have any problems since we were there during low season.

Great hotel, fabulous location. Excellent service provided by all members of staff we met, from Breakfast staff, front desk, maintenance, concierge- everyone was friendly and helpful. Close to the bus stop for exploring the different parts of the island, and nearby Wellbees Supermarket and other smaller convenience stores for snacks and drinks. Indoor pool was handy for the rainy days. Plentiful breakfast options- there is something to suit everyone. We had a lovely holiday here and would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone.

This hotel was extraordinary from the first to the last minute. A personalized signed welcome letter and gifts in the room for the kids. The staff and the quality of services were exceptional; from ordering a taxi to offering a takeaway breakfast for an early checkout to arranging a private yacht charter for me and my family. They took every and each request to heart! Always with big smiles! The room was big, clean, and the beds are very comfortable. Modern facilities, nice ambiance, and decors, excellent restaurant with delicious food, 3 swimming pools, and a few walking steps to a private great beach. The check-in and checkout were easy and very quick. The location was excellent, with a nearby shopping center, parking, shops, restaurants, entertainment, promenade, and good connections to Valletta 15min/10Euro by Bolt. I would have loved however to have a better view from the room balcony for the price I paid (noisy street view). The access to the sky beach infinity swimming pool was only allowed for suites guests (a bit unfortunate to enjoy the panoramic view and take a souvenir picture, but the Pool on the 11th floor was anyway very good). When I booked the hotel I thought that it has direct access to its private beach (this is what I understood so far from the pictures and description) but it turned out that we had to walk a few meters (after all, it doesn't hurt that much).

Lovely hotel, & staff very friendly & helpful. Think on booking, they should inform you, there's a new holiday Inn being built right opposite, with all noise that entails, if you open your balcony door!! Major disappointment!! However the pool was brilliant.

We visited the hotel off season, during easter. I am absolutely impressed by the employee's, they were kind, helpful and very service minded. Made us feel like royalty from the day we came. The service was great throughout. From the phenomenal reception, the bartenders was very skilled and the food from the kitchen was fantastic. The cleaners were thorough and always in a good mood. We will definitely visit this hotel again!

Lovely rooms here, I had a shower and a big bath in the bathroom. The bed was comfy, when I arrived there was fruit and water in my room, tv with many apps available etc. All staff are very polite. I had a short trip here so I did not get a chance to enjoy it to its fullest but my experience was good and when I go to Malta I'll come here again.

I would say this is probably the best place to stay in during your visit to Malta if you are there either for fun parties or business events! Located just in the middle of the parties hot zone, above the Malta casino, right next to the beach, and with spa and pool, you really don’t need anything else and everything you need is within 5 minutes proximity! The staff are very polite and friendly, professional, and helpful. The rooms are great and spacious and probably one of the best hotel breakfast in there. For breakfast you got live kitchen, huge selection of food, fruits, sweets, drinks, and local authentic cuisine to choose from.

A really great Hotel. Facilities are excellent. Great Alfresco Gardens, 3 pools, lovely restaurant. Staff are great but front desk needs a little bit more 'put myself in customer shoes' going that extra mile.

Our stay in this hotel was awesome. The service is outstanding and very dedicated to their work. They were realy helpful. What is more, the food is delicious and the facilities are great. Minor change that I was suggest is more hangers in the bathroom. Thank you and hope to see you again soon.
