My wife and I stayed for 7 days. The staff was welcoming and provided to our every request. The lounge is nice and provides a nice hideaway from the rest of the property. 6-8 pm a light meal and drinks are served. The lounge staff was very friendly. The check in team was awesome, our room was not ready but they took our international phone number and called as soon as it was. We were able to check our bags into a waiting area and they were delivered later that day to our room. Each day we enjoyed the breakfast on the Terrace. The staff was very attentive and the meals were very nice and a huge variety of options. Many other great features and we hope to be back soon with the rest of our family.

Incredible stay. Had one of the best holidays I’ve had staying in this beautiful hotel. The decor is very classy and luxurious and you feel like your a world away from the bustling streets of St Julians. Rooms are very spacious with every amenity you could think of. The facilities are well maintained and the abundance of sun loungers means there is no rush to get a space. Probably the best hotel I’ve stayed at with very attentive staff members. Will definitely be back.

5* service, 5*experience! A truly wonderful family break. The Westin Dragonara caters beautifully for kids and adults alike. Our 2year old son had a blast at the swings and the pool. They also have a well equipped kids club. The food was simply fantastic both for my husband and I and our toddler. Staff is extremely polite and helpful. Thank you Westin. We will definitely visit again. 👌💯

Really enjoyed our stay in the Westin Dragonara. Stayed in a tower room which has a fab balcony over the sea and great pool views also! Appreciated the nice touch with a bottle of wine on arrival. Love that they have segregated waste bins and plenty usb charging points. Fab pool and beach areas, great service at beach bar and lobby bar. Great facilities with the indoor pool, steam room and sauna. Special shout out to Peter who was really good to us during our stay too!

Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Beds were plush and comfy. In a family room we had 2 queen beds. Gorgeous location right on the water. Breakfast was fantastic - lots to choose from and we enjoyed sitting outside by the pool. Plenty of towels, complimentary bottled water, and free parking on site. The club lounge offered breakfast in the morning and wine and appetizers in the evening. Offerings in the club lounge were a bit limited (other than breakfast only 6-8 pm) but it was a nice view! Enjoyed the pianist in the lobby in the evening. Great amenities, comfortable well-appointed rooms! A great place to stay!

A lovely hotel, with great staff and everything you need for a holiday. Be careful of people booking stuff on your room but this was easily resolved by the hotel. Great rooms, service and location

Breathtaking so far we just checked in but I'll update as the stay moves along!! Update...Absolutely amazing so far, phenomenal 360° views with perfect blue waters, amazing architecture throughout. Visited Valletta today and I can't even begin to describe the beauty and fantastic everything, so much to see and do. If you get bored in this region something is wrong!!

One of, if not the, best hotels I've ever stayed in. The buffet breakfast each morning has anything you could want. The service is exceptional. The lobby bar is fantastic. The atmosphere was great. The rooms were spotless. And the view of the Mediterranean is immaculate. I can't wait to come back.

A lovely sea side resort with great facilities. Staff are very professional and helpful which ensures your holiday goes the way it should. The hotel still feels fresh and clean. It’s facilities are up to date ranging for its health and fitness to business centre and dive shop. There are a lot of families around at the moment so, something to keep in mind if you’re travelling solo. Thanks for having us!

I stayed in The Westin Dragonara Resort in Malta for 3 nights, being on a business trip and I liked my stay very much. I got a large room with the sea and outdoor pool view which was well equipped and it was a quiet place to sleep which I highly appreciate. The location of the resort is right at the seashore. Breakfast was fantastic and rich in options to choose from, wellness and fitness center was well equipped and not overcrowded. I enjoyed the steam and whirlpool much, and I appreciated also a short swim in the indoor pool. Staff was friendly, professional and helpful. Basically, everything was as I would expect it to be in a 5-star hotel. Thank you for that ! :)

We had doubts, but came accross to find one of the best beachside hotel we have been in Europe.💁🏼‍♂️ The whole property is beautiful and very well maintained. Everything is so nice and clean, even the sunloungers on the beach and pool was spotless without any stains, just as the towels. This is a very rear thing in beachside resorts. All the employees we met was very nice and kind, most of them always smiling. We had a Luxury King room in the new building which was beautiful, modern and comfortable. We had noisy neighbours so it was a bit uncomfortable to deal with their loud furniture moving business in late and early hours. Room for improvement: please add coffee machines to the rooms, nescafe is a bit disappointing in a 5 star luxury resort. Reef pool should be adult only, it is impossible to enjoy some swimming without splashing and jumping kids. We appreciated the adults only beach area, though. The whole resort is pretty busy so prepeare yourself sharing the grounds with a massive crowd but we had no issues at all, even though we like quiter and laidback places. I honestly don’t understand how they keep up this high level of guest experience and cleanliness with so many guests, but they just can 👏🏼 We will be returning very soon, for sure! 🤗

This place is magnificent. The newer Luxury Ocean Front Bay Suites are amazing rooms. Super spacious and well laid out. Big balcony overlooking the water. We had the pleasure of staying here for ten days and loved every minute of our stay. The king sized bed is one of the most comfortable beds I have every slept in. The entire staff is very helpful, courteous and polite. The rooms and hotel are very clean. The breakfast buffet is next level with every conceivable choice you could ever want. They make egg omelettes to order with about ten different options to fill your egg pocket with deliciousness. The workout gym is huge with lots of free weight and machine options. They also have a variety of cardio machines. There are two saunas next to the indoor pool. One is infared and the other is a steam sauna. The hotel also offers free parking which is a bonus because street parking looks to be a nightmare. Overall you can't go wrong choosing this place. We highly recommend it.

Absolutely fantastic holiday here for my sons 18th .Amazing service, the waiters were exceptional, always polite, friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them . Loved the view from our room 518 and it was kept spotless by an amazing set of housekeepers. The pool staff especially at the reef bar were so good, best smoothies ever . I really could go on and on but would definitely recommend this resort and Malta to anyone wanting an amazing holiday xxx

Beautifully appointed room. Within walking or short Uber ride to restaurants and night life. Great beach/water access… mostly terrace on sea wall with stairs into crystal clear blue water to swim. Bar service at recliners via QR code. And wonderful breakfast

This is a lovely hotel with great facilities. There are 2 pools (The Reef is sea water) 2 jacuzzi, 1 small kids pool and has direct access to the sea as well. The family rooms have a kitchen with oven, hob and fridge; along with 2 bathrooms. The rooms are cleaned regularly and you are given free bottles of water daily. The showers have shampoo, conditioner and shower gel for you. Along with a mat to stop you slipping. The staff are friendly. Breakfast has a large selection and there is a choice of seating inside, middle or outside. If you order food or drink at the poolside they will bring these to you once ready. There are plenty of towels for you to use on the sunbeds. While we were there the hotel was at 95% capacity and you had no issues finding a sunbed at any time of the day - a BIG + for us.

Excellent service and location the staff so accommodating helpful and above all else polite and friendly! When one considers the amount of work entailed and the magnitude of what people expect staying here the Staff should both be rewarded and commended!!! My only gripe as minuscule as it is would revolve around water pressure in the sin and shower absolutely nothing else!

Good hotel, a bit old but mostly renewed. Great service, you feel being take care of, staff is very polite and full of attention. Overall a place to return.

The hotel is very modern, bright and well-decorated. The location is perfect, walking distance to the shops, bars, restaurants etc. Marcin in reception did our check-in, and he was the most fantastic staff member. The room was a decent size. We loved the balcony, big plus. Breakfast was excellent, with a variety of choices. The hotel offers free parking for the guests. The minor downsides were cold whirlpools and no recognition of Marriott Bonvoy members. Otherwise, we had a pleasant experience.

  • 5/5 Tobias Hermann L. 7 months ago on Google
The best Hotel in Malta. This is not the newest but I think the best. Perfect rooms, nice upgrade for Bonvoy status member, perfect concierge team, good service at F&B at breakfast and room service. Clean rooms. The team is perfect. I would say" old lady "but in very good shape with a perfect team.

Spent four nights there for my birthday. It’s a large high-end property with a stylish pink palace serving as the main building surrounded by manicured grounds in a privileged location on the bay. It felt peaceful and exclusive while being just minutes away from the action of St Julian and Valletta. There were also a few nice restaurants on the hotel grounds (when I tried Quadro, there was a huge security detail so the place seems popular with local VIPs) and a grand casino. The general condition of the property, rooms and swimming pool were very good. Service was generally pleasant and the manager Ashish was very helpful.

  • 5/5 Pj V. 7 months ago on Google
We loved everything about the property from the warm welcome at reception to the exceptional service by the wait staff at dinner. We found it best to stay on the resort grounds and enjoy their pools. They have two outdoor pools and one indoor pool, a private Bay area great for children to swim at, and a long coastline of deck chairs to enjoy.

Can't say enough about how great the Westin in Malta was for our family. Hotel staff was exceptional and helped reserve our driver on Gozo, and a private boat to Blue Lagoon from the dock of the hotel. Executive lounge was exceptional with food and service. Breakfast buffet was excellent. Pool was the perfect temperature and restaurants were great after a long day, especially if you just want to enjoy something with effort. Restaurants and shopping is just a block away.

Excellent and friendly service! We had such a great stay, and the staff was very attentive. Even though the hotel is located next to St Julian's, it is quiet even if you decide to sit outside on your balcony. Nevertheless, there is one drawback: the bathrooms. Who designed bathroom appliances like that? It does not matter if you use the sink or the different shower functions... you instantly create your own indoor pool. So be aware if you do not want to change clothes every time you wash your hands :-)

Spend a week at this stunning hotel in May 2023 as a family of four. Had a suite there and it was beautiful. Staff are excellent,.the pools are amazing, and there's never any issues with sunbeds. The breakfast is wonderful, extensive with everything you could want. It's a real shame that the breakfast area isn't offered as an evening buffet dinner, as this would be far more family friendly. It's location is the big plus and minus. Looking outward to the sea is an amazing view of a peaceful rocky shore and green blue water. But, step out of the hotel and you are in the heart of clubland. Not appealing at all for those with young families. It's VERY rowdy, and like the "Sin City" of Malta. It's a real shame as the hotel has it all, but it's not really a nice place to step out of the hotel at night with children. So you either need to take a taxi to Valetta or try and eat in the hotel. But without a buffet the evening dinner choices are limited for kids. A real shame.

We just visited the hotel for the first time for 3 nights, I have to say it was the best service I ever experienced, the hotel is beautiful and so organized, and the best part of the hotel is the lobby Make sure to try some of the cakes and foods there, staffs are very polite and helpful. Thanks for such a good experience. Definitely have five stars, I will come back again😍

  • 3/5 Peter K. 7 months ago on Google
Not really 5 star but it is ok. A bit too expensive for what it is. The room was nice, spacious with a good view from a balcony. The disappointment was the food… if you charge 20 euro for a burger make it a bit better than the ones in take aways.

What an incredible experience our third consecutive visit to this beautiful hotel was. We love it in Malta and here at the Westin the sea views are totally spectacular. The hotel is so clean and beautifully furnished, with staff who are so friendly and cannot do enough to make your stay relaxing and memorable. The food is just delicious, fresh fish, meats, vegetables and salads daily and plenty of choices in the town if you want something different. The food in the hotel is so good that we ate there 3 nights out of 7! We had the most restful and enjoyable week and during our first visit I called it a pocket of paradise and it truly truly is and we are already looking forward to next year’s holiday. It has everything we want, stunning sea views, beautiful pools and restaurants, comfortable loungers, a great gym and lovely accommodating staff and clean spotless rooms. It is in a perfect location close to Valletta, Mdina, Selima and not too far from Gozo and the Blue Lagoon. Malta has so much to offer and The Westin Dragonara is just the perfect place to be!

We booked for 6 nights into a 'Sea View, Tower Guest Room' at €490 a night. The room has a MAGNIFICENT view, and well worth the additional cost. On the first night the air conditioner was not working at all and the room was incredibly hot, so we called for maintenance. Hours went by whilst we waited and tried to get to sleep but alas no hope and we were finally moved very last to another, cooler room for the night. On the second day, the air conditioner was still broken so we didn't spend any time in our room and later that night we were brought a fan then offered to move again to cooler room to sleep. On the third day the air conditioner was finally fixed to our great relief. We received warm apologies from many staff, as well as the amazing Guest Relations Manager, Ahmed Aboushall, who sent us a bottle of wine and fruit but alas, it wasn't a great start for our stay in Malta. In hindsight, we wish that we had been immediately moved into any available room with a working air conditioner, and just charged the rate of that room. All in all a great hotel with attentive reception, dining, and concierge staff. Their maintenance response certainly needs vast improvement.

We stayed here for 9 nights in October into the beginning of November 2023! We stayed in a gorgeous bay suite which was absolutely beautiful couldn't fault it. The only issue I would say with this hotel is that with the room we had we could NOT have access to the lounge, baring in mind it cost us £6,000 to stay here, however if we booked to stay in a cheaper room we would have been able to have access to the lounge? and that didn't make any sense to me at all! You would think with the coat of a expensive room you would have lounge access. However apart from that the hotel itself is absolutely lovely and the staff are so friendly and took very good care of us. It is also in a great location and the weather was gorgeous especially for this time of the year October/November!

  • 4/5 Paul C. 5 months ago on Google
Great location for access to a semi private beachfront, and access to local shops, bars and restaurants. Complimentary water daily in the rooms, just a shame they told us that the mini-bar fridge is “for keeping things cool not cold, they don’t actually work” which is a shame because room temperature (21°) drinks aren’t nice 😬. There was also mould in the fridge, so clearly it gets restocked but not cleaned. Our furniture on the balcony was broken, and there were cigarette butts on the floor, we flagged both to our room attendant but nothing changed. The pools are great, we visited in November, so they weren’t busy, but the jacuzzis didn’t work - again stated they had “technical” issues… Overall a good stay, little things that could be fixed but nothing majorly wrong. Service received at check-in and in the restaurant/pool bar was great!

Fabulous! We stayed as a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 children under 10) in August and it was nothing short of perfect. The staff were faultless from concierge, to chambermaids to restaurant. The room was insane with a fab view and was huge (one of the new connecting type rooms). Breakfast was a personal highlight. Nothing they didn’t have! Staff were attentive and kind. Very clean hotel too. A proper 5* star hotel. Ahmed (one of the operations directors) was very personable and kind to us as a family! Loved it. Thank you

Our stay at this hotel was good overall, despite the a bit too old room (loud toilet flushing, door frame of the toilet not in best condition). Regarding the location, it is great at the sea but be aware that it can be difficult due to waves and slippery stairs to swim in the sea. The pools are great too. Breakfast was exceptional! What made our stay great, was the very friendly staff. They paid a great level of attention and always been very polite while having a warm smile. I would like to mention especially Sarroj who we talked to a bit and he gave his absolute best to make it a great stay for us. Thanks again! Also our short but great contact with the customer relationship manager was very nice and he was very helpful. A little advice overall is to check out the area beforehand, we knew Paceville was said to be the party area, so our expectations were like that. If you come there without checking, it can be a surprise. But the hotel is very quite, like a gated community, at the shore. We enjoyed the time at the Dragonara and can recommend it.

My husband and I stayed for 3 nights with our 3 month old daughter and everything was just perfect! We had a great welcome and everyone was very helpful, making sure we had everything we needed at all times and offering a service with a smile. The suite we were in was beyond amazing - spacious, comfortable, clean and with all we needed including a cot and kitchenette! And what a view! Food, both room service and at the restaurants, was delicious, not to mention the breakfast buffet offerings so many different options. We were also able to make use of the indoor heated swimming pool and sauna, and various other amenities were also available. Parking on premises is included and the hotel is very close to restaurants and shopping malls. We've been to the Westin a few times as a couple and with family friends, and the experience has been consistently positive - we cannot recommend it enough and always look forward to returning.

I had a great overall experience here, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Loved my room and view, and the property itself has great views. A great location to walkable food and entertainment as well as easy to get downtown or to the airport. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

I am quite excited to rate this property and staff. If there was a 6 star rating I would hit it! I stayed nearly a week and got to know the property and staff well. As a Marriott Ambassador level member I was hoping for a room upgrade. I had read on several blogs they this property is not one to regularly honor that perk. I found that to be consistent as I was unable to upgrade ( although I was offered a chance to pay for an upgrade). That turned out to be a massive non issue as the room we booked was absolutely spectacular ( tower rooms with large balcony). We liked it sooo much we are actually looking for next year already. So that was no big deal. Front desk , concierge staff really made it an issue to get to know your name and make you feel wanted. Very personal and warm! The breakfast restaurant was quite well staffed ( as was the entire property) and a great breakfast buffet with assisted service and never a wait. Loads of comfortable seating both inside and out. Lobby bar is among the best we have enjoyed. Very cool vibe , reasonable prices and great staff! I challenge anyone reading this to show the self discipline to walk by their daily made displays of phenomenal desert and not indulge at least once a day. ( I was 0 for 6😀) A desert with a fresh coffee ended every one of our nights. Upper patio level restaurant had a great menu. Freshly prepared, reasonable prices with spectacular views of the Mediterranean. The pool bar is open all day with drinks and snacks. If you are a Marriott elite member they have a happy hour 6-8 each day that is wonderful!! Waaay better than any room upgrade! Excellent snacks, drinks and professional table service with that calming Mediterranean breeze! Beach bar is open and serves all day. Plenty of sun beds both pool side and beach side. Towels are also available. Pool is large , clean and has a life guard / safety staff. The beach is not a traditional sandy beach. Quite rocky yet very accessible with ladders and entry points. Water is beautiful! Loads of umbrellas as needed. One of the best exercise facilities of any hotel I have visited. For those who try to balance the Dragonara desert offerings with a little guilt reduction, they have the facility!! Used it daily. Housekeeping was more than 5 star. The most under appreciated aspect of a lot of hotels is the staff that keep as clean and comfortable!! Twice a day was normal , yet all within Covid protocols of masks and disinfectant! They were professional. All in all I absolutely recommend this property for your Malta visit!!

Rooms, service, cleanliness and Pools are excellent. The down side nothing else to do than sit around. No evening entertainment or music playing. No where to play pool or snooker. You have 3 restaurants to go to. One a fine dining and the other an Italian. The 3rd is like a slimmed down menu of the Italian. Not sure why the don't open the breakfast restaurant and a buffet like many hotels do. Basically is you are happy with sunbathing and no entertainment this is the place for you. Not good for children.

Great stay. We had pretty average weather so had to take a dip in the indoor pool (pre book your spot) Reef club was closed due to end of season which we were unaware of so that was a shame. Top tips: gym was great and the full breakfast had everything you’d want!

Beautiful hotel. Amazing views. Rooms were lovely. Location was spot on for me. Very good parking area. Cleanliness was amazing. I had no issue during my 5 day stay. Malta's number 1 luxury hotel without a doubt. Not cheap but you get what you pay for. Expect 100% clean rooms, top notch rooms with furniture, views, etc. Also well educated employees and good for the elderly, disabled and kids. Perfectly located too.

What a stunning hotel. From the moment we walked in, to the moment we left, my husband and I were treated with respect and professionalism. We cannot fault it. The room was very comfortable, clean and the housekeeping staff were brilliant. Andrijana in the top floor lounge gets a personal mention. She couldn’t do more for us. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Did a two night stay over a weekend. Staff here from the grounds keepers, to upper management, are always friendly and helpful. Everyone has time for you. Rooms are always clean and maintained correctly. Not a hair or any dust in sight. Food has some gaps here and there, that need some working on, but nothing that couldn't be avoided or changed. Overall, The Westin is an amazing hotel, that between their staff and hospitality, always makes you want to come back again.

Beautiful hotel - the staff was super courteous and attentive. I like to give a very special thanks to Joesph - the "Concierge" who helped plan our days - including making dinner reservations for the six wonderful days we were there. The pool area by the sea is especially nice - lunch can be served right at your lounge chair. Since my last name is Valletta - I think I was greated more times then I can count with my "Sir Name". It was a special time.

Once again I want to repeat the compliment to the room cleaning service - they exceeded our expectations. I can safely say that I have never seen such smart service in any hotel in my entire life. They even paid attention to which pillows we slept on and did not put others on the bed. They also brought us toothpaste without asking us, after they saw that our paste was over. Many thanks to all the staff for this. Special thanks to managers Amy, Ahmed and Edward for their attention and care. Looking forward to meet you again!

The cleanest and friendliest Hotel we've been to. Fantastic breakfast spread. Only gave 4 stars for location as left side of town was not that appealing, but right part was fantastic (we only discovered the right part on day 3 of our stay. Would have been nice if staff made us aware). Overall it was a fantastic experience

We stayed a week here and I’d return - and it’s biggest selling point has to be the staff. Every single one felt so warm and friendly, remembering us at breakfast, our order and making us feel special and yet in a relaxed family way. My only one comment; in February the balcony we had (room 739) was pointless. Sun doesn’t enter at any time during the day. Maybe it’s different in summer. However, look at the spectacular sea view!! It’s east north east facing so unlikely to get much sun at any time, but other rooms would do as they were more south facing but would then have a partial sea view or a city view. We had a superior family room and it was perfect. The buffet breakfast is superb. The pool, sauna and steam room were excellent too. And the cakes in the foyer top notch. All in all, it fully justifies its position as the best hotel in Malta and deserves its five stars.

Beautiful property and lots of room to spread out during the day. With 2 pools and many different areas around the bay to sit....even an adults only area. All the restaurants were great and helped us with our various food intolerances. If anything, it would be nice to have a few activities organized by the resort to give some variety to the day. Otherwise enjoy the time by the sea and pools.
