Called the day before to book for a party of 5 vegetarians. The cook went out of her way to provide a variety of veg snacks. We were particularly impressed with the cauliflower starters and potato & aubergine curry.

Worst experience ever. We went there for fried fish and agreed upon Rs1000 for everything. When we were done they charged us an additional Rs200 for fries!! And they clearly agreed on the price beforehand. Grew up on the island and left for Toronto, Canada at a young age. Tourists and mauritians alike, stay away or you'd get ripped off.

Very good location but it is a pity that they do not show any professionalism. Worst experience ever. The food was taking very long and when I went to ask politely how long more, the owner was very rude to me. Even the drinks took long to be served and the girl even forgot one glass and then she forgot one other drink that took more time to come. How can one work this way? I was shocked how the owner treated me. She was very angry and then she said ‘what you looking at me this way’ then I cancelled my order and we went away. However she was friendly to me husband afterwards which was weird. Anyway never again and I strongly do not recommend this place! Also, many items on the menu card they didn't have and it does not keep up to the name as there is nothing from Belgium there. I felt ashamed seeing the Belgium flag there being a Belgian.

Belgian Beer!!! Great food and great hospitality. Highly recommend.

The first restaurant I found serving Belgian beer! Staff and owner are very nice, and the food is very good as well! Always stopping by for a beer and after all it's in the beach front!

We had a very bad experience with this dishonest owner. please check your price menu price well. We were said for a price for a specific meal. We ended paying nearly double the price for the meal. Thats a total ripped off ...

best local cuisine in the south. fresh food and perfectly cooked you will be amazed by the taste of the local specialities. have a stop while cruising in the south or after a golf at bel ombre. the two ladies in charge of this bistrot are charming and will welcome you with the famous mauritian hospitality

It's certainly not the most elegant place or the most fastest service or extremely clean resturant that you can find; But is you have the patience you will get an excellent meal. We ordered - fresh fish, some seafood & some noodles - they were all fresh and very tasty. The owner of the place is the chef. She make a warm welcome and knows how to cook excellent.

Great food and lovely service. The ladies here are so kind. We enjoyed deer curry, chicken curry and also had fried shrimp for an appetizer. The food is plenty!

Most of the dishes we wanted to order around lunch time were out already. Took ages till they cleaned the table and brought some drinks. The curry fish was ok. Unfortunately they charged more than the menue was saying.

Friendly welcoming service - slowish but many apologies - it's a popular place obviously, just opposite beach. When it came, probably best 'poisson grillé' ever encountered! Name of fish? n'importe (there were 2 actually! Other dishes looked delicious as well. A great find for Mauritian food.

Would not recommend this place. Most things on the menu were sold out. Service was super slow and not really friendly.
