What an absolute dream holiday! From the moment we stepped into the hotel we felt welcome. We have been to 3 different hotels in Mauritius and this is the one we will be coming back to! All the staff was so helpful, special mention to the manager on breakfast duty Danyel Bertrand, what an absolute gentleman. Food, drinks and snacks were all great, just wish there was more options for children at lunch. Food service at lunch was quite slow, but then again if you are there you probably have the time! Been back home a week and ready to be back again. Thank you to each and every staff member of Awali that made our stay so special.

It was my second stay and I had a really wonderful weekend on an all inclusive package. The staff is very friendly and a special note of thanks to Melanie & Varsha and also much appreciate the positive attitude of the F&B Manager, Mr Bernard! Our room was very neat and i really appreciate the professionalism of the housekeeping team! They worked in the shadow but delivered the service you can expect from a 5 stars hotel ! In terms of food, the Buffet offered at Savana Resto was much generous in terms of choice and all the food proposed were delicious. Whether it was Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner, there were enough different cuisine to satisfy each one's taste and preferences.

We have just had a lovely 10 days at Heritage Awali. The complex is stunning and really well cared for. We had a garden room that also had a view of the sea which was a real bonus. The room was cleaned daily and most evenings a turn down service was also provided. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly providing high levels of service at all times. The food was delicious, we particularly enjoyed the Indian and Italian restaurants and also ate at The Chateau where the food was outstanding. The departure room was a nice addition if you have a late flight. We loved the island and the people we met on our travels round the island and were very sad when our holiday was over. I would say that couples were in the minority with the main clientele being families (we did travel during school holidays) however this didn’t stop us having a great time at this resort.

Absolutely fantastic staff. Shout out to Anjenny, Prisca (from Kids club), Stephan (from Savanna) who made our stay fabulous. C- beach club has to be our favourite during our stay. Warm hospitality throughout the stay, staff very well trained to put customer first. Food could be improved at savanna to make it more western… First holiday where the baby club worked fantastic and very well run by the team allowed my husband and I to rest and enjoy some sightseeing. Rooms could be a bit more modern if I’m being honest but overall it was an enjoyable experience. Thanks

Resort is an hour from the airport which is great! We were visiting for our honeymoon and just wanted relaxation and 5 star service. Sadly the service from food, rooms and drinks were not at a 5 star level due to quality of drinks and food, consistency of drinks, food and room (replacing towels, bed making and turn down) and efficiency. If you are looking to swim a lot in the ocean you can't swim much due to rocks and coral unless you bring watershoes which was a bummer since we love the ocean. This is NOT the fault of the resort but something to be aware of if that's what you are looking to do.

I spent a day in this wonderful Resort with my boyfriend. We had a day package and it was such an amazing experience. The suite was huge and beautiful, with a sea view from our bedroom. Everyone was so kind and willing, always ready to help us. Cocktails were fantastic!!! We also did a relaxing message that I recommend to everyone. The best day ever.

The hotel was very nice and the staff very helpful and welcoming. Nice location as well but however, we were a bit disappointed with the buffet (lunch and dinner) as not enough variety of food options. Also, the other restaurants were always booked and could not get reservation.

We have just returned from a wonderful 10 day stay. We had a brilliant time. Lots to do for a wide age range of children. The resort itself is large with different restaurants to choose from for both lunch and dinner. We were lucky enough to be there over Christmas and New Year- the hotel made a special effort on both of these days. We did a morning dolphin trip which was great fun and made good use of the water activities on offer at the beach club. The room was well maintained and relatively spacious. A couple of negatives /room for improvement- We struggled to book for dinners and lunch due to capacity- everything was fully booked pretty much upon our arrival which meant we needed to eat at the main buffet a lot- the buffet is good but lacked a full spread for children- especially toddlers. Having 4 children with us and the resort having multiple pools, It is crying out for lifeguard presence something which it lacks entirely and I can only hope management will consider this especially in the busier periods of high season. We enjoyed our stay immensely. Thank you .

We spent a week in this beautiful hotel, everywhere clean, beautiful beaches, excellent food. We tried perfect massages and went pedal boating with the kids. This hotel is really up to standard and I would like to give a special thanks to the chef of the Zafrani restaurant who gave me his time and showed me how he cooks his irresistible dishes. A wonderful place! Very friendly staff starting from Sunny who helped us in everything we needed in our apartment, Jennifer who served us in the main restaurant, the chef of the Indian restaurant who served delicious food and had time to talk to us and answer questions that we had. We would also like to thank all the waiters and waitresses at the bar and in the main restaurant as well as all the receptionists and booking staff. You all created amazing atmosphere of that place!

I recently went on holiday to Heritage Awali with my family and we had an amazing time to the point where we really didn't want to come home. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, the were always checking if we needed anything and had plenty of helpful suggestions on things to do out of the resort. The resort looks amazing so welcoming everything is well maintained including the beaches but if you do note something they are only to happy to look into it. The rooms are large and comfortable, the only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that we had a minor issue with the bathroom door but this was quickly fixed and the only suggestion I can give is that there could be some English family TV channels but this is only a minor suggestion. The Kids club was fantastic and put us at ease with leaving our daughter in their care and their facilities looked a lot of fun for the kids and my daughter had a great time. The food was brilliant, the restaurant staff were so helpful and friendly and the cocktails were brilliantly made. They were always happy to help and suggest a refreshing new drink when asked. The included activities were a lot of fun and I wish I could have tried more. The Seven Colours Spa was brilliant, the included massage was so relaxing it brought both my partner and I back for another and I was very tempted to go back a number of other times as we both felt amazing afterwards.

Spent 10 days on honeymoon in this beautiful hotel. Everything was just perfect. The room was gorgeous. Lovely comfortable king size bed. Food in all the restaurants was delicious with a huge choice. Lots of choice with alcohol and cocktails. Staff so friendly and helpful. Perfect location right on the beach. Unfortunately you really needed shoes walking on the beach and going for a swim due to the coral/shale. Overall fabulous experience in this beautiful resort.

Heritage Awali is a beautiful, eco-friendly resort in the South of Mauritius. As an all-inclusive resort there are mutliple dining options and a variety of unlimited drinks. The rooms are spacious, luxurious with all necessary amenities. Majority of staff are warm and friendly and go out of their way to make one's stay comfortable. The pools are perfect, especially for families and children. While the beach and sea is rocky, it is definitely a beautiful experience.

It's not really all inclusive. You should definitely arrive before check in time (2 pm)! Lunch closes around that time. If you miss lunch, you can only get ice cream and pancakes until 7 pm. There is roomservice, but they charge you for it. I would recommend going to another resort on the island, especially for the price. It's more a hotel for older people because there are lots of rules. Not the best place for a young couple. Cocktails are not that great and you don't get drunk from them. Staff is very friendly though.

The whole of the staff team were incredibly friendly, professional and always smiling! The grounds were immaculately kept. Nothing was too much trouble for anyone. When you entered the hotel the views from the reception area out across the ocean were incredible and set the tone for the whole of your holiday. The restaurants served delicious food. Our particular favourites were the Infinity Blue and the Savana. We went to Savana for my husband's birthday and it didn't disappoint. The chefs create some amazing food and flavours. The staff in the bars work incredibly hard but somehow manage to remember what your favourite tipple is (we did spend a lot of time here!) or create a delicious cocktail, adding rum to the wonderful non alcoholic ones!! Zenzi bar is fantastic. Krishna, who worked at the Infinity Blue bar did a particularly great job with the cocktails. There was an adult only pool, which was a fab idea. We used this all the time during the second week, when the half term holidays started. There were plenty of sun beds on the beach which were very comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to everyone but would maybe advise to check the school calendar if you prefer a kid free break, the feel of the hotel changed slightly in the second week of our stay. I would recommend hiring a car and exploring the beauty of Mauritius. It is a dramatically stunning island! Bring hiking boots and explore, you won't regret it. The national parks were amazing, and the mountains.... Bel Ombre is a gorgeous area. Thank you to everyone for making our holiday so relaxing and memorable.

Superb place for a little holiday. Without going into much details: Both the buffet and Ala carte was very good. Service, one of the best, the staff makes the stay a more pleasant experience, from greetings to goodbye 5*.

I had an absolutely fantastic time during my stay at this exquisite resort in Mauritius! The staff members, particularly Melanie, Chef Francis, and Chef Harjit, were simply outstanding. Their dedication to even the smallest details and exceptional service truly enhanced my overall experience. We were there probably about 3 or 4 years ago and highly recommend this hotel. Its excellent service and great choice of restaurants and lovely rooms. AI well worth it. I don't know what it is like now, so can't comment on that.

The hotel is really great. So is the service. Huge advantage is free golf course. Two small remarks: if someone would like to swim in the ocean need to have shoes, the ventilation in rooms should be improved. Other than that everyth was great

We spent a really amazing time at the hotel. The staff is so nice and friendly. Food is an important criteria for us, and being vegetarians, we were pleasantly pleased with the extra mile the chefs did to provide us custom dishes. We were particularly impressed by the veg deserts invented by the pastry chefs. Great job Zaahir 👏

Lovely hotel set in a fabulous location, beautiful beach and amazing sunset. Overall 5 star review but some areas of opportunity. Majority of staff are very welcoming but a few in buffet and bar not so, however all other areas the hospitality was excellent. Food in al a carte restaurant’s absolutely fabulous both for menu choice and food quality. Drinks package ok, stayed at other hotels on the island where you could order wine by the bottle as part of all inclusive which is nice. Rooms are nice, clean and comfortable. Golf course top quality layout and very nice restaurant, buggies should be part of all inclusive again like some others on the island. Spa very high standard and massage as part of package a nice touch. Two staff members identified for a special mention. Daniel one of the restaurant managers for sorting out a few issues for us and then going above and beyond to deliver a special beach front meal for us to enjoy, he listened and acted on feedback which we really appreciated. Ansah in housekeeping who looked after us very well and was instrumental in returning a ring found in the laundry, very much appreciated.

Beautiful resort in a stunning location. Had a wonderful holiday. Service very friendly and helpful at all times. Could be improved with more staff in the restaurants enabling faster drinks service e.g. at times we have finished breakfast before coffees even arrived.

Kids club is absolutely a highlight of this hotel. As a parent, you will certainly be greatful for the amazing work that all the ladies do to let you get some rest and enjoy vacation without your child. The hotel lobby and restaurants are wonderful. Not the entire hotel staff speak English well, some front desk receptionists struggle with basic communication! In our case, there was often miscommunication about different things, e.g. we booked an excursion at the reception but nobody told us that they wouldn't charge the costs to our room but we need to pay the driver in cash.. While checking out, we got a bill for things that we were supposed to pay extra and this was ok but they automatically added an equivalent of about EUR 35 for some sustainability fund. The receptionist then said she could remove it or amend but should't they ask first if we want to contribute at all? They offer different activities. Zumba class was great! Aqua aerobic is offered every day, but one day nobody came.. We were waiting in the pool. When I asked later on what happened, the receptionist told me that the instructor got stuck in the traffic jam and came 30 minutes late.. I cannot understand nobody came to us to inform that the class would be delayed or cancelled. All in all, based on my experience from other 5 star hotels in the entire world, this one is certainly not a 5 star place. Somewhere between 4 and 4.5.

My family and I have had a very memorable stay at Heritage Awali resort. The services offered to us were truly one of its kind. The staff members were all top-notch. I would like to give a special mention to all of them namely Mr Clifford (General Manager), Ms Jennifer (looking after detox juices), Mr Anish , Ms Melanie (guest relations), Mr Dylan , Mr Girish , Ms Laure, Mr Yudish, Mr Ramma, Ms Elodie, Ms Shyama, Mr Avishaye, Ms Francisca, Mr Teshav, Ms Manuella and Mr Ashad (I apology for the names I might have missed !). Sanitary precautions - All of the staff members wore surgical masks while serving or greeting the guests. Room - Our room was a deluxe one with a beautiful view of the hotel garden. It was close to the coco shack bar and very close to the beach. I would encourage you to book this room (In the 6000s block ground floor) Restaurants - There are four restaurants at the hotel. We have had the opportunity of eating at two of them namely Savana (daily buffet) and Zafarani (a la carte). .Savana - Extremely delicious food. We absolutely loved the buffet (Friday - BBQ, Saturday- Asian) offered at the Savana restaurant : Huge range of food and delicious desserts. A special mention over here goes to Ms Jennifer who looked after detox drinks in the morning. .Zafarani - My parents and sister also had the chance of eating at the Zafarani indian restaurant and they loved it - the thali was exquisite. Bar - We would like to thank Mr Anish at the Zenzibar for his expert advice on drinks. We would also like to thank all of the people working at the bar for their amazing service especially Nishaant. Swimming pool - We enjoyed the heated swimming pool. The temperature of the water was ideal. Overall feedback - We enjoyed ourselves a lot !!!! Thank you to all the staff members for having our stay a very memorable and fabulous one. Looking forward to coming again !

I'll called to enquire about a 3 night stay at your hotel. My wife is currently pregnant and she's not vaccinated. Currently no vaccination is being done for pregnant women. I was utterly surprised to be informed that even if she has a PCR test which is negative the hotel won't accept our stay. Kindly please do review this decision as it is not a fair one. Thanks

Underwhelming experience in comparison to other hotels 4/5 star hotels on the island. Outdated decor, mediocre cuisine. Probably post covid decline, hope it improves. The location is amazing and has great potential to be better.

Staff made us feel very welcome and we’re very helpful. The customer service was excellent by all staff members and they all went out of there way to ensure we had the best time whilst on holiday. The food was out of this world and a real delight so many choices and well presented. Again the staff in the restaurants were first class with there service and making you feel welcomed. I can not recommend this hotel highly enough only one word to describe this hotel and staff and that is phenomenal. To date the best holiday we have had in the last 20 years. We will be back 😊

Had a lovely stay here for our honeymoon. The hotel made sure we had lots of special touches to help us celebrate. The resort facilities were excellent, and the all inclusive package was really good value. We did find the service wasn't always as expected, communication between departments was poor which resulted us being directed to multiple teams a few times and misunderstandings on check out. The spa was gorgeous, with fabulous treatments. Lots of choice with the food, which was really tasty.

We spent 7 days on the resort. It was a wonderful experience. Setting exquisite! The food was excellent and the service superb. Sitting next to the beautiful poolside, sipping on different cocktails was magnificent. Thanks to the friendly and caring staff.

Beautiful place, their hospitality is on very high level. Food was amazing, cocktails were very good, rooms were cleaned everyday in the morning and before going to sleep. If you are looking for place with gorgeous spa, restaurants and very kind personnel- this is place for you.

My husband and I came to Heritage Awali for our honeymoon. 2 nights there definitely was not enough but was so memorable. We were really touched by the hospitality of the staffs there. Special thanks to Mr Soudesh, Ramanah and team for taking good care of us. Big thanks to Mr Clifford and Ingrid for the special treatment they gave us - had our room nicely decorated and we were offered a full body massage each - one of the best massages we’ve had in a long time!! I cannot thank enough the staffs of Heritage Awali! We had such an amazing time and cannot wait to come back!

Heritage awali golf & spa resort is an incredible resort, perfect for family vacations. The architecture is beautiful and so is the interior. I went on an all inclusive package which includes lunch,afternoon tea,dinner and breakfast and all sorts of drinks. The room was rather basic and not that beautiful compared to other 5 star resorts in Mauritius. The dinner was great but not that much variety however the food was very tasty except for the pasta which was rather bland and not tasty at all.the bed in the room was very comfortable and offered a good night of sleep the breakfast was excellent. However the lunch did not have a large variety, but the food was tasty. Overall I had a great stay and the food and drinks were great

Our stay at the heritage was amazing from start to finish. The staff and management outdoor not do enough for you. I have a food allergy and at all the restaurants the chefs where there to guide me through the menu for the evening. We would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to relax and unwind especially the spa. Thank you for a fantastic holiday. X

Brilliant hotel, fantastic service. Premium all inclusive is well worth paying for. Good food with a variety of restaurants, lovely bars, beaches and pools. If we come back to Mauritius, we definitely stay here again.

One of the best hotel I have ever visited. This was just an amazing and awesome experience for my family. Everything was simply perfect, starting from the front office team where each and very details were taken care of, up to the waiter whom were very welcoming and service oriented. Had a wonderful stay at the resort.... we had such a warm welcome at arrival. The staff readily provided assistance all throughout our stay.... food was great, wide variety of dishes and amazing drinks.....our visit at Le Château was an astounding experience.....my son was given prompt medical support as he wasn't well. Our spa treatment was mind-blowing.... I want to say a big thank you 😊 to the whole Awali team for making our stay unique..... Congratulations and warm wishes for the new year 2024. I would highly recommend Heritage Awali Golf and spa resort to all. Looking forward to coming back soon.

Hi. We had an exceptional stay at the Heritage Awali. We had the Senior Seaview Suite which was a lovely big room. However, the only thing I would say is that I did not get much sleep. The beds are very hard, there was not a good selection of pillows and there were no black out curtains so my children woke up very early every day. The rooms were clean and Ashna the lady who cleaned our room did a great job. I thought the food offering was fantastic. The selection of food and drinks was really impressive and we did not have one disappointing meal. The service was a bit hit or Miss. some staff friendly some Not so much. And generally it was very slow. But I don’t mind that. The check-in was very slow. However, all in all a fantastic stay at a fantastic hotel with exceptional food. We loved the facilities and the access to the golf course and the ambience you have created at the hotel was amazing. We will definitely be back and we look forward to staying much longer with you.

The room was spacious and clean, but the air con was weak and stopped working a couple of times during our stay. You had to leave it on all day every day for your room to be cool when you return rather than being able to turn it on and the room be cool within 10 minutes. The service was mixed. The bar team was incredible and we could not say a single bad word about them. The restaurant staff were hit and miss. It often took 2 - 4 drinks orders to actually receive your drinks. The lunch food at Infinity Blue was very hit and miss too. Some days the food was incredible, some days it was cold. On a separate note, the evening entertainment is too disco/club-focussed for what is marketed as a luxury get away. The nights with the live singer and acoustic music were by far the best nights as they were chilled vibes. The location is the main selling point of the hotel. It is stunning and can't be criticised.
