I was trying to find a great burger place in Minnesota. I live an hour away from st. Paul, and after reading the reviews, I decided this is the place we are gonna give a go! And boy, am I glad we did. The burgers were spectacular. There are plenty of options for all different tastes, and the fries are all hand cut and delicious. The fries are not soggy like most can be, they were crispy and perfect. The burger I had was also on point, and I loved the pulled pork and bacon on were amazing. We went late so there was no wait. The building is quint and warm. I will gladly drive an hour anytime to go back!

Amazing burgers! Some of the best in the Midwest....if not the Country! Those buffalo wings though! Hands down the best Ive ever had! Worth the drive from Iowa just to eat here. Just one of the coolest places around!

This small, family-run restaurant was suggested to us to try local cuisine on our visit to Minnesota. The cheese curds were extremely delicious (we regret only getting one portion)! I tried the Juicy Nookie burger, which was tasty but messy to eat. It’s not a huge burger, which was nice, as anything too big would be too heavy. The food was good, overall, but a bit greasy. Service was quick and friendly.

Burgers are a must! I ordered the Nookie Supreme and my guest had the Patty Melt and both were remarkable! I could not recommend this place more. They have a decent selection of beverages, we had the wings as an appetizer, and they were perfect. Parking was easy. This location is a must if you are visiting the area.

Stopped in while in the area. I must say this is a gem of a place and exudes a lot of personality! Definitely recommended going to the downstairs area! Got the Tuesday Bacon Bourbon Burger with fries for $9.95. Burger was cooked just how I liked it(a little pink inside), although my friend's was just brown throughout. The burger was cohesive and nothing was too overpowering. Only critiques we're maybe the party could've been either a smidge thicker or wider to leave less empty space on the bun! Overall an 8/10 burger! Fries were fried nicely and seasoned well! Will recommend and definitely come back to try other burgers!

Nothing flashy about this place, but if you're looking for flair you're not going to find a good burger. This place is concerned with one thing, and that's excellent burgers. Great atmosphere with unique decor as well. My wife and I loved it

We had a GREAT time at The Nook! Ashley Z took care of us, gave us great service and gave us interesting information about the history of The Nook including that they have another location that is bigger but offers the same food know as The Shamrock. We sat at the bar and enjoyed some great food. We ordered the cheese curds with honey and bacon for an appetizer, then some Chipotle Garlic, Honey Stinger wings, and Guy's Big Bute burger with fries. Everything was great. The food was out quickly even though they were busy, and the food was hot. I will definitely be back to try more of what they have to offer.

Excellent service and great menu choices. My college-age son and I went there for lunch and we ordered various appetizers--Reuben rolls (Reuben stuffed egg rolls), Walleye fingers, Cutie Lucy's (three mini Juicy Lucy sliders) and Nook curds (honey glazed bacon cheese curds.) OMG. You MUST try these curds. Seriously the best I have ever had. The portions were generous, we had plenty to take home. We will definitely be back--highly recommend!

The absolute best wings in the Twin Cities! My go to flavors are the Honey BBQ, Buffalo and MN wild dry rub. There isn’t a bad flavor on the menu. The homemade fries are outstanding and be sure to order a few of the homemade blue cheeses, so good. I will continue to go to this small, vibrant and fun neighborhood staple to enjoy the food and great service!

The Nook has delicious hamburgers! They even have a Keto-friendly option, which includes two cheeseburgers and a generous salad. The strawberry shake was wonderful. Employees are friendly and prices are reasonable. Daily specials are a really good deal!

Awesome place to eat!! The fresh cut fries were amazing!! I tried the burger featured on Triple D. Spent about $17 on just the food!! That's about the only complaint I would have is that it seems like the prices are unreasonably high.

If you're looking for a little dive bar with bomb food and cozy seating (I mean.. cozy..)... find your way here. My #7 burger was freaking amazing. The cheese may have oozed out the back before I took a but, but that didnt stop the flavor explosion. And the flaming cheese curds... omg, some of the best I've ever had. Quick service. Delicious food. Huge fry portions. So many fries. Yum.

My daughter and I came to The Nook for the first time today and we will not be returning. We ordered two Juicy Lucy burgers with fries and Cokes for pick-up, and the person we spoke with on the phone told us our order would be ready in twenty minutes, which was fine because we were driving from about fifteen minutes away. When we arrived, they told us our order would be a few more minutes, so we went back to our car to wait. After about thirty-five minutes, we finally got our food and left. I really do not have anything positive to say about the food. I ordered tomatoes on my burger but they did not include them. The burger was overcooked and over-handled to the point that it was tough. The cheese stuffed into the burger was way too salty, and it all squirted out on the first bite anyway, leaving me with a hollow burger with nothing in the middle. Worse, the iceberg lettuce on the burgers included large chunks of the core. Gross! The fries were okay, but they had no seasoning. They just tasted like potatoes and grease. And to add insult to injury, the Cokes were flat and watered down. I've included a photo below to show how watered down their Coke is. It is pathetic that such mediocre food and service cost me nearly $40.00. We will not be back, and I get the feeling that the owners of The Nook probably do not care anyway.

Great corner bar. Minnesota has a few bars/restaurants that serve Juicy Lucy burgers. These are stuffed burgers with cheese on the inside. The nook does not claim to have invented the burger style but they have some great variations. I had the Guy’s Big Bite which is a stuffed burger topped with bacon and roast beef with cheddar cheese! The burger was big, juicy, and very filling. I got the hand cut fries for the side dish. The Nook is very popular and there can be a long line at times but is well worth the wait.

This was my first time at the Nook and I was excited to try their Juicy Lucy burger since so many people have raved about it. Well, it was a pretty disappointing. We waited about 40 minutes to get our burgers and we realized (after two bites) that there was no cheese inside and the burger was overcooked (menu says burgers are cooked to medium). We told the server and he apologized and got us new ones. New ones took 20 minutes to arrive. As others have mentioned, it was very hot to eat. It reminded me of eating xiao long baos (Chinese soup dumplings), where you have to be careful or you will burn your mouth. Overall, the taste of the burgers was okay. I've tried other Juicy Lucy at other well-known places, and prefer the other places vs. Nook. But, the service was great! Our server kept checking on us and was very apologetic about our non-cheese overcooked burger. So, most of the stars is for the server. He rocked it. So, would I come back again? Probably not. Long wait for food - okay burgers + great service = 3 stars.

First time experiencing a "Juicy Lucy" they are not kidding when they say JUICY! I literally spewed hot liquid cheese across the table with my first bite! So, be careful take little bites or allow some time to cool! Burger was delicious none the less. Great cheese curds and beer selection! The bowling alley and bar downstairs is super cool! We will come back and try that out next time for sure!

Wow. I never had an amazing, delicious burger like this one. I ordered the Guy's Big Bite stuffed burger. It has cheese inside and roast beef on top of it. I really enjoyed it. The staff were so nice. I will definitely go again.

I stopped in here with my son for lunch after searching for a good burger place nearby and the Nook popped up. When we pulled up, the place does not have the best curb appeal, but we still decided to go in and give it a shot. It's definitely a unique atmosphere in there. We were seated downstairs near the bowling lanes. The place is much bigger on the inside than what it appears from the outside. Overall, it was okay, but did not live up to the hype from other reviewers, at least the food didn't. We both ordered burgers, which came out over done in my opinion. It was okay, but I can think of many orher places with much better burgers. However, if you're looking to bowl and get some food, I can see this place being a good hangout spot.

What a dive! Great bar with a bowling alley underground. Unique atmosphere, truly worth the experience! You don't go here for the bowling, you go for the enjoyment of the experience. No digital score keeper, but the bar is something special and the food is something to write home about! We only had the snackers, cheese curds, rolled bites but man we're they tasty! What an experience, if your looking for something unique, and have a couple hours, bring a group, the Nook is a must stop!

The parking outside was under construction so we parked outside around the corner. Went in and got seated at the downstairs area next to the bowling alley. I ordered a Schell’s Deer Brand Beer, Pyres Pragmatic Pils Beer and a Juicy Nookie Burger with Onion Rings. I really liked that they gave a TON of Onion Rings, some places really skimp out on it. I cut my burger too fast and all the cheese dripped out. Anyways great food and service!

Four Stars across the board. The #7 burger was good but if I had to choose I’d pick Matts every time, it’s just better. Fries were limp with not a great deal of flavour. The dry wings were very tasty, meaty, moist & did not disappoint. They should leave the veggies OFF the plate if they are not fresh, ours were brown and beyond dry and withered. Lack of attention to detail in this regard hurts the entire experience. Would I return, hum, sure but it wouldn’t be my first choice! No disrespect!!

A St Paul local recommended the Nook to try a Jucy Lucy burger, and my friend and I split the pepper jack one. If you're thinking of ordering this, keep in mind they really mean served medium well -- our burger was super red and kind of cold still, and that just wasn't done enough for me. My friend said it tasted good, but only if you didn't look at it while you were eating it. For people who like medium rare burgers, it would probably be good! I tried several other really good restaurants during my time in St Paul, and I would say only visit The Nook if you're determined to try a Jucy Lucy.

The guys big bite is my go to and as always it didn’t not disappoint. They had a new spicy cheese curd option so I had to try it. It came with an amazing spicy honey. I may opt to just ask for a regular order of curds with a dish of that give next time— the odd red coloring seems to make the curds not as gooey as I love. But still really good.

Wow. Best wings I’ve had in the twin cities. The bourbon burger was also fantastic. The bacon on the burger was perfectly cooked which I find happens infrequently. Fries were also good, service was fast and the waiter was pleasant.

The server was very attentive and friendly. The juicy Lucy was pretty good and I was excited to try one. The reuben was simply adequate, but nothing special. I really enjoyed the fried cheese curds as well. Overall, it's worth a visit.
