WARNING: DO NOT go here! WORST service ever! Almost every staff including Dr. Ellen are rude, prejudice, and unprofessional people. These people look as if they don't want to work. Frown on their faces, super slow, and talked to us as if we were illiterate. I took my mom there this morning (12/27/13) and they made us waited for over 3 hours. Dr. Ellen came to see us for a quick 2-3 minutes to RUDELY asked us why we were visiting, in which, the medical assistant already asked us prior to meeting Dr. Ellen. So, obviously, Dr. Ellen came in to see us unprepared. Dr. Ellen left us for hours before assisting us. Actually, she didn't even assist us, she came back after an hour and 30 minutes to notify us that we have to get some of my mother's shot elsewhere and that a nurse will come give my mom the remaining shots that they have available. I asked her if they can make an appointment for my mom to the referral place. She gave me an annoyed look and told me she do not know how the other clinic works, so we will have to find out ourselves. Additionally, she told me directions to the referral place, but didn't even bother to write down what clinic and address. That unprofessional doctor was in a hurry to leave, and I stopped her to asked if she was going to help us with another medical issue that my mom came in for. She said she wasn't notified about the other medical concerns so we will have to wait because she have other patients she needs to see. I told her that when we arrived, the medical assistant wrote down our purposes to see her, and that the other medical concerns were part of our visit. Dr. Ellen just hurried out and didn't even close our door all the way. 20-30 minutes afterwards, a nurse popped her head through the doors to ask if we were still waiting for shots, and we were. That nurse left our room, and similar to Dr. Ellen, she didn't shut our door. 30 minutes after that, the nurse and Dr. Ellen came in and didn't even tell us what shots they were giving my mom. I asked what shots they were, and Dr. Ellen said, "they are traveling shots like you asked for." I said, "I know they are shots required for traveling, but what are they called and etc." The nurse handled me papers of the shots information and still didn't even tell us what the shots were. They expected me to read it to my mom, in which, I did. Dr. Ellen told us to reschedule for the other medical concerns that my mom has. I told her that we don't need it. Dr. Ellen left without notifying us, and after my mom's shots the nurse did not even assist us back to the lobby or tell us how to get back to the lobby. Seriously, what kind of uneducated and ignorant people like them gets hired to work with patients at Open Cities. We all know that Open Cities Clinic are open to low income people and that every once in a while the clinic may become chaotic, but that give absolutely NO right for the staffs and doctors to treat their patients this rude. Note to Dr. Ellen: We are not dumb, and we have every right to know what the doctors (you) are giving us. So, don't tell your patients that you are giving them traveling shots; we need names of the shots and what each shots are for. We are busy people who work too, so don't waste our time and make us wait 3-4 hours for you who is not doing your job. You are supposed to be a professional, so be it. Treat your patients like how you would want to be treated. DEFINITELY NOT COMING BACK!!!

Really unprofessional place and bad receptionist. I call it was put on hold for 30 min and then went straight to voice mail, this happens on multiple occasions. I left massages 3x this month and haven't had a call back for my parent appointment. Then yesterday I call and got a hold of them at , and it took foverver to find my parent info. After putting me on hold 10 min and 5 min look, She then had to call me back because they're lots of people at her desk and she must attend to them before me. I then waited all day and still no call back. Why would a place with this level of professionalism excess.

I water for a hour and they didn't call him in at all so I got missed and left. even when I have an appointment scheduled it took them freaked 30min-45mins to call you back into the room. very slow people that don't care about their patients. I will never go back. shitty ass place ever. this clinic don't even deserve to be call a clinic at all.

I waited in the lobby for 45 minutes past my appointment time to be seen and then was taken to an examination room and didn’t even see an actual doctor and was barely in there for 5 minutes and I received a bill for $310. All the nurse did was ask me a couple of questions and treated me like I was lying. Now I’m having to dispute the charges because they literally did nothing to help me. Very frustrating.

Everyone was super nice and super helpful and accommodating. I'm friendlier and more polite than most people, so that could account for the excellent service. (I was in the dental clinic) I work in healthcare, and can attest to the fact that about 70% of patients are not particularly friendly or polite, so eventually it takes its toll...

Absolutely horrible service. We called in advance to set up an appointment for this place. The receptionist mention that we can do a walk in (earlier the better). So we decided to come right when it opens. We were transferred to numerous of departments, only to be said that walk ins were not allow. Luckily they booked up an appointment that morning for us. We waited 2 hours only to notify that our doctor was behind 2 appointments, only making us wait for another hour or longer. Receptionist don't now what they are doing and here we are, waiting for 2 hours pass our appointment time for doctor who is just too slow for anything...

A great place where the staff know you as a person not a number. Of course there is room for improvement such as answering the phones in a timely manner but otherwise a place that I will continue to bring my family and friends for health care. I hope you guys can make it out on the positive side of the struggles that you're going through right now. I will continue to support and pray for OCHC.

On April 26, 2023, I called and made a tele-health appointment with Samuel Boadu for a prescription refill. I receive a call at 8am on April 27, 2023, stating that he is unable to conduct a tele-health call. It has been mentioned by the receptionist that a tele-health will be conducted, and this is my second appointment in an effort to have my prescription filled. I can't stop taking my medication mid-course because it could lead to a stroke. I am extremely disappointed that it took them two appointments to realize that he cannot participate in tele-health. I will never suggest this facility or this physician to anyone else. Only because my doctor is booked for another month did I make an appointment with him. Another appointment for pap smear! I requested a female doctor when the receptionist asked if I wanted one when I made the appointment for the pap smear. On the morning of my appointment, a male medical student and an African nurse practitioner entered the space. The fact that she did not read my preferences left me feeling incredibly overwhelmed and sad. On the day it was supposed to be done, I did not have a pap smear. I work in healthcare, and this place provided no patient care. Because someone simply failed to read the patient's chart, I never want this to happen to anyone else. Simply read the chart instead of making the patient wait longer than necessary, in my opinion. It would only be because of Dr. Kemp that I would suggest this clinic. Prior to entering the patient room, he is always prepared.

Dr Garnett at the Dunlap location really listened to my discussion and had me walking upright and turning my head more easily by the time I left.

I called to schedule an appointment, the mumbling girl that answered transferred me to another person and I was disconnected. Called again and left a message and they never return my call.
