Pay attention to your surroundings or you might end up getting mugged. Just witnessed a robbery and beating up there about a half hour ago. Last week I was in the grocery store for about 10 minutes and someone had unhitched my trailer and had it ready to run off with This area is swarming with predatory people on foot and in cars. This place is no joke

Cub Food is everyone's grocery shopping store. Great selection and everything is organized friendly cashiers. TJ Maxx, Dollar Tree, Planet Fitness, Citi Trend, Rainbow Shop, Sally's Beauty, is where I normally shop. Also there's a new furniture store. And becareful of your surroundings I heard some people got robbed in the parking lot. Oh yes, watch out for potholes and beggars.

Lot can get congested in the corner of the strip mall close to the gyro place(superb food and clean). Not a bad place to go, just an entirely unremarkable, mundane American strip mall... ...Then you see a low IQ, stunted social awareness, person who parks like this. This person shows us that they have a slow to mature sense of a broader world beyond their own sense of self. Only these type of individuals are capable of thinking they own 4 parking spots for their old, poor performance, historically bottom rung tier in its class truck. Should have listened to what their mind was telling them when they laid eyes on it prior to purchase, "Dodge" this, and get a real truck like a Silverado or a Tundra. Yet this person ignored their brain(are we surprised🤔). Oh well, nature will play out like it always has for those with stunted/lacking cognitive functions. Narcissist vibes also very hard to deny. Likely gets a pity invite to holiday gatherings from friends and family, a very reluctant one. Take care dear reader. We all live here. Be a person you want to be around and don't be this person 🤙🏾

Still standing. Internet shopping is killing malls, and this place has been here forever. It's nostalgia. Not a lot of great shops. But if you need specific things or groceries...

Great chicken & sides by the two black young men that work there that cook I wasn't looked at because of the color of my skin like the Cubs Foods in LAKEVILLE And I had to fill up my 5gallon water jug and it didn't take long either like LAKEVILLES. Keep up the good work and I will continue to shop here.

I haven't been here since 2018, and it was really run down and trashy. I was here last week, and oh my gosh. There is still room for improvements, but the store is very clean now and they have added a whole new back section of refrigerators.

Stopped into Cub foods. The Lighttrail system being built is quite a monstrosity of a project, yet we were able to shop without any issues.

The stores are a mix of good and bad however for the most part you'll get what you need. Cub specifically stands out as a great grocery store.

I like this Cub. They keep the place clean. Their workers are very helpful and friendly. I go there a couple of times every week. Their deli is great. The fried chicken is wonderful. The only thing I miss is they used to have their own version of baked beans with brisket. It has not been there for some time. Bring it back, please.

I used to shop at this location until i moved. That was 2017. What i remember was a decent experience. Not many crazies or weirdos but some of course.

One time I was wondering what a clicking sound was, on my way into the store. Turns out, my boot treads had picked up a spent bullet shell. If you're hoity toity, go to maplewood or woodbury.

As an east sider it pains me to have to give such a low review, but I would be lying to if I said that this location could get any more than two stars. I would say if you are well accompanied with the area and this side of town you’ll probably be perfectly fine. It’s an area that you want to stay vigilant. You want to lock up all of your stuff. Make sure that you’re not keeping anything in plain sight that can incite a robbery or another crime to happen. There is a pretty diverse set of businesses in the center as well as the community council (from what I can remember.) there is also ample amount of parking and you can access the public transportation system here. Though that is the case, given the amount of crime that happens here and businesses that often fail with a combination of vacant properties that stay vacant for long periods of time I would say it is not the safest part of town to be in. Some of the businesses have really really great service despite the location, but it definitely is a hit or miss. For example, I went to the cub late at night and had to deal with a very aggressive employee but on the other hand, I went to a store that is no longer in the shopping center and was treated with so much kindness, and even got a discount when I checked out. The main thing with the shopping center is it does have some really great businesses that I think is worth a try to visit, as well as regular businesses that just might have your every day items that you were looking for. I just stress that you should be vigilant. Make sure you lock up all of your items in your car and be wary of people who may approach you outside of the businesses.

Worst attempt at customer service ever! Cashier and manager were just rude and irritated of top ... lazy.... smh ... and so so uninformed about their own policies or procedures they instantly shut you down about your question or request then reply like your inconvenient and not worth their time... very stuck up Atmosphere...

This could be a decent place to do some shopping if people would just start caring about it. It's becoming so run down and there is so much theft in all of the stores. Store owners need to start doing something about these thieves and stop just letting them walkout the door!

  • 4/5 Kathy F. 2 years ago on Google
We went to Dollar Tree. Heads up, everything is no longer $1! It's now $1.25. This has me reevaluating some of the things on whether the cost is worth the often smaller bottle sizes and smaller quantities and the quality. The store was stocked with merchandise and it was well organized and clean and the employees were friendly.

Sun Ray Shopping Center to me has been so nostalgic & will forever be the one place that started my outdoor adventuring. The Cub Foods there has always been to me clean & family friendly, the staff workers are more then willing to help you even when they, themselves are busy.

A Cub location that is dying for a remodel. It is the armpit of all Cub locations. Even so, it carries more options than the Hy-Vee across the street. Excellent fried chicken in the deli and doughnuts in the bakery. Very good meat selection. This is no Kowalski or Byerlys/Lunds so don't expect those fancy cheeses or snooty foods-- this is Maplewood, not Stillwater. Acceptable produce.

The stores here are great. Rainbow, The Smoke Shop, Cub. Also eat at LeAnn Chinns & order Domino's quite often. Great stores here.

I was in there the other day shopping and 2 mice ran across the aisle right in front of my cart. NEVER will shop there again.

Got accused of stealing. We go there weekly for our meds and grocery shopping. If the self check out person was actually doing her job, she would have seen that we rang up every single item. WE BOUGHT. if she asked to see our receipt on our way out. She would have known we paid for it. Instead of sending someone after us. That person didn't even ask for our receipt. he just told us to give our stuff back. I asked to make a formal complaint doubt anything happend. She also came put when I spoke to her boss and tried to argue with me. Which made the entire situation even worse. Not even an apology from her. If there was another grocery store on my bus line, I'd be switching.

I just recently moved here and it seem everywhere I go there are security guards and Bullet proof glass-not liking it- but this store had some of what I was looking for, it's not the cleanest store but I'm not used to that, was great full that I could get to it

  • 2/5 kathy D. 9 months ago on Google
We went to the Dollar Tree. It was messy and the shelves were not stocked appropriately. Hard to get around because they had carts of items in the aisles. Unfortunately we'll be back though, because of funds right now.

It's cool... I am glad it has survived all these little Mall closings that one of these small shopping centers are still open

  • 3/5 Kari G. 10 months ago on Google
This is closest to me. 3 stars because in order to get a motorized cart you must give your ID to customer service to get a key. The carts are by the entrance and customer service is at the exit. That can be too far for some people with mobility issues.

Fried chicken from the deli hits the spot after a night out celebrating. Potato wedges are great for sponging up all the grease.

  • 5/5 Vicki H. 1 year ago on Google
This is an old shopping center trying to restart itself. So it looks a little unkempt, but it has some really cool stores with the latest clothing. It also has an awesome thrift store named Back in Black where the prices are right especially when you consider the name brand thrift stores are so expensive these days we all know who they are. If you are a young person I highly recommend you check out Sunray shopping center and I everyone should visit the thrift store Back in Black in Sunray Shopping Center.

If I tell people where I shop, they always are in shock that I go here due to safety issues. I've never had any real issues here. I stopped here on nye to get a few things & decided I wanted chicken from the deli. Ended up getting jo jo's, mashed potatoes & gravy & chicken. The 3 men that helped me were great & had a smile on their face despite the line behind me. The food was so good & will be back for more! Other than that, shelves are a little bare, but I always find what I need. I'll keep shopping here.
