Stayed here for 5 nights, everyone working here was friendly, and the place was pretty clean. Great location to walk to the beach. The bathrooms could use a deep clean, lots of soap scum and a few hairs in ours upon arrival. We were disappointed that we weren’t told about the pool being closed prior to booking. At check in I even asked if we needed anything to access the pool and they said no you can just walk right up… so that was very misleading. We were told there would be a light maid service every other day to refresh towels and such and no one ever came to our room in the 5 days were were there. Just would have appreciated them advertising on their website at least that the main pool would not be available. The small pool they have is only big enough for about 10 people.

Could definitely be better. I booked a night for a quick beach day with my daughter. You can tell the hotel is old and needs some love which they are working on. However the cleanliness was not up to par. First off the beach towels they provided are gross and old , so bring your own if you are particular. The pool bathrooms were not cleaned almost all day even after I made a complaint. And just random trash bags etc in the halls left all day as well. The beach is beautiful and the atmosphere at Jimmy Bs is cool, food was also mediocre. Overall, its a budget stay hotel if that’s what you’re looking for. I wouldn’t stay again though.

This place is beautiful. Very active night life. Good food, good drinks. Nothing out of the ordinary as far as that goes. However, as soon as the nearby beach resorts go dark, the Jimmy-B's comes alive. If you're a night owl looking for a beach getaway with amenities and more, this is your spot.

It always has been a pretty good place to go to. The only problem is the prices have gone up so high that it sometimes you just can't afford it. Crowded location. Sometimes hard to find parking and there have been times when we've been there that people have been out of control. A lot of drinking and partying going on in the hotel doesn't seem to have control of it or they just maybe don't care

We had an amazing time. The rooms are basic but clean and cozy. The beds are comfortable. The shower was large and nice. There was live entertainment daily at the restaurant on site and the beach is beautiful. There was plenty of dining, ice cream, 711, dunkin donuts, etc in walking distance. The hammocks in the courtyard were nice. Staff was very friendly. We were able to rent jet skiis and the banana boat right from the beach by the hotel (and there was way more you could do).We can't wait to go back next year.

If you’re thinking about staying at the beach comber, please reconsider. The only thing this place has going for it is its location and hotel bar (which is right by the beach). The rooms are very run down, especially the bathroom. The bed was hard and the walls are paper thin. We could hear our neighbors all night long. Our coffee machine was broken and when we told the front desk, they told us they’d bring a new one up to the room. Didn’t happen. They also never brought us extra towels that we requested. When my husband went down to the front desk to ask about it, he was rudely told ”why did you come down here? Doesn’t your phone work?” I will say the location is great, as you can walk to the beach. But overall, I can’t recommend this hotel because it’s not worth the money.

Really unique spot! We had a room towards the front of the resort, the layout was actually very nice and allowed for privacy right outside our patio/near a stairwell. Plenty of seating in the patio, a beautiful warm pool, and very attentive staff made it a place we will definitely return too! Only thing I would improve was allow for delivery from the restaurant/bar to our rooms.

Great local spot that is now owned by a corporation. Main difference with the new owner is pool is redone, no more dive bar in the front of the hotel, and now there is a resort fee. Overall still a great spot. Rooms are modern and cone with a small fridge and coffee maker. Great views and Jimmy B's is a great beach bar!

I wanted to give a somewhat lower rating-not due to the customer service but just to the overall rooms. It's basically like a motel to be honest. They really need to redesign the rooms. The bed is where I feel the living room should be and vice versa. The bathroom has the outlet away from the sink and mirror. The water level was very low at the bathroom sink. The customer service person said that we had the best room but I don't think so. The housekeeping person only came to bring fresh towels but never came to change the sheets or clean the room. We were there for three days. Everyone was very friendly but the rooms were not that great. I recommend going to Sirata down the street. I visited there last year. The rooms are better.

Location was perfect within walking distance of everything we needed. Staff was so friendly and fun! Jimmy B's bar beach front gave us great live music and brought the party to us every day! We will definitely be back!

hello to all For me, this is not a resort, it's a motel. physical appearance of the hotel was next to none. it is ugly outside and inside. unpainted walls, little cleaning and ugly smells in the rooms. The main pool was not open. It doesn't have a microwave. parking is awkward. not worth the price for the service. poor facilities. in generating I give it F.

My husband, I, and the kids loved this resort! It doesn’t look like much from the front but once you are inside it’s amazing! Well kept, clean, and staff are so helpful! They had lots of local recommendations for places to eat, just ask. They had lots to do from bags, to a chest of board games and such for a family game night when it rained! Their private beach was not over crowded and absolutely gorgeous complete with sand toys for the kids to play with! No need to pack pool towels cause they have them unlimited. There is a decent size mini fridge and No microwave in the room but they brought a new one to the room when we asked. They only had a shower which was great for us but may pose a problem for those with kids who want a tub. The bar in the back was huge and such fun with live bands each night playing amazing music , but the great part is that once you are back in your room you can’t hear the bands playing! We will definitely be back.

Pros: The staff and workers were so nice and efficient. It is right on the beach. The grounds are in beautiful shape. The coffee in the morning they brew in the lobby is really good. Cons: the rooms. They definitely need an upgrade in furniture and window shades. Both in our room were dirty and old. The floors were upgraded with wood. It'd be nice if there was a ceiling fan above the bed. Also, no breakfast. I feel they can at least have a local vendor or food truck. Something as an option to eat on premise without having to leave somewhere else.

If you want to stay up until 2AM every night, this is the spot for you. This is definitely party central. Luckily, the buildings are old and probably made out of concrete which helps to buffer some of the noise, not only of the live band every night but the attendees screaming and partying right outside your door. We were in town for our daughters baby shower. I selected this hotel because we wanted to be on the beach. The location is super convenient and the courtyard is beautiful. However, parking is a nightmare. If you don’t get a spot in front, you have to park on the sides and literally if all spaces are taken, have to back all the way out when leaving. There’s nowhere to turn around. The hotel is very old and even though they renovated ten years ago, it needs a good cleaning and upkeep. Our room had comfortable beds and a nice bathroom, but had chipping paint, rust on door frames, chipped toilet bowl, dirt and grime along shower bottom and windows, sand on floors and dusty. We had little contact with the staff except check in and check out. Check out clerk dropped the ball when I requested my receipt by email and then had to reach back out to ask where my receipt was. Overall, the hotel is okay if you’re there just to party but it wasn’t peaceful or relaxing. Overpriced for what we got.

Love the Beachcomber! ! It was a bummer that during our visit the main pool was under construction but the small pool worked out quite well. Rooms could’ve been a little cleaner and a few updates are needed but the staff and Jimmy B’s overshadow the small stuff. Very helpful and friendly and accommodating. There is one guy in particular that runs the food back-and-forth through the courtyard to Jimmy B’s, I think his name is Justin (I hope that that is it) great face for the Beachcomber and Jimmy B’s. He’s extremely friendly and he waves and says hi and makes you feel welcome, very good to see verses so many younger people that have underdeveloped people skills.

The hotel was alright for our 4 night stay. It wasn't great nor terrible. One of the parking entrances was closed when we pulled in. The main pool was closed and torn apart . The second, smaller pool was tiny, and they would close it at random hours. The sign outside of it said closing was at 10pm. Two evenings we attempted to go, and it was locked at 9p and again at 8p the following day. Disappointing. Housekeeping did not come once during our 4 night stay until the day we checked out to ask if we were leaving. We did not have the DND sign on the entire stay. The room was alright. You could tell they patched things together. Bathroom door was not level and would not close entirely. The a/c could not keep up with the heat and humidity of the gulf so the room stayed borderline uncomfortable. Blackout curtains were heavily damaged. Bar and restaurant located beyond the crumbling pool was expensive and inconsistentent with the quality of the food and drink. They pack food back and forth from the hotel on a rickshaw bike. Don't get the shrimp tacos. Overall it was just ehhh. I would look at other places the next time.

Our vacation at Beachcomber Resort was exceptional! The staff was amazing. Literally every single staff member we came in contact with treated us like we were friends! The food was fantastic, delicious drinks, great entertainment. We were very pleased with the 21+ pool where we were able to float in peace. We stayed in the Junior king suite and the accommodations were very comfortable. The only thing I’d critique is that I don’t believe the bed was actually king size, and the bathroom was rather small. The walk in closet feels unnecessary and a larger bathroom instead would make more sense in a room with multiple pull out couches made for more than 2 people. Just my personal opinion. Otherwise, we had an amazing vacation celebrating my wife’s birthday. We’ll 100% be back soon!

This place is amazing we were skeptical at first because no Ocean view but within a few seconds on the beach. The price was shocking compared to others we booked direct and saved almost a 1,000 by not using a third party website. The beach bar and food is great. Free parking for guest as well as free beach cabanas everyday. We stayed 5 days and it was around 600 for the week. Our room was renovated with nice walk-in shower, beds comfortable, towels were soft. And they provide nice pool and beach towels. Our Jr suite slept 4 nice and comfy but could have easily slept 8 people. Ground floor units so no waiting on elevators all the time.

We were hesitant to book this place because of some of the negative reviews online. We were able to stop in and book without notice and we were pleasantly surprised. The rooms were spacious and clean. We were able to drink our coffee outside on the patio in the morning and overlook the courtyard where they have a beautiful water fountain. There are 2 pools; a smaller one for the adults that do not want to have children splashing around and a bigger pool for the families. Or you can just walk out to the beach for the day and enjoy the ocean. At night you can stay there and order food/drinks at Jimmy B's while enjoying live music or you can walk down the beach to another restaurant on the strip. No need for a car if you want to fly in. It's all there! We will definitely be booking our next vacation there. Yaya at the front desk was amazing and super helpful when we walked in after a bad experience at a previous place. She was extremely friendly and accommodating. You all helped us to salvage our vacation and turn a negative experience into a positive one. Our 7 year old son was able to make friends which is huge because he is an only child. Highly recommend the Beachcomber

Have stayed here several times and love it. Beautiful tropical courtyard with fountain. Rooms are comfortable and staff is very friendly and helpful. Love the bar, beach access with free cabanas or umbrellas and chairs. Will definitely return!!!!

This is the place to be! Great location right on the beach with towels/chairs/umbrellas included in your stay. Rooms were very clean and the staff was excellent. Not only do they have a beach bar but they have 3 bars surrounding a huge outdoor courtyard with FANTASTIC bands at night. I will definitely be back. The only downer was that they did not have breakfast but ricks up the streets very cool!!!

Wonderful experience, right on the beach, excellent entertainment, kid friendly, great food, and ice cold beer!!!. I cannot express it enough what a great value it was for me and my family. My wife and I go there for the night life when ever we can. The bar is just a great place to be. Thank you to the staff.

The beachcomber saved the day! We had a terrible booking with a neighbor resort and at arrival was told they canceled our room! What? My husband and me and our two children standing there at 10pm now without a place to stay😡 We walked next door to the beachcomber and let me tell you every single staff member has been utterly amazing! They couldn't get us a room that evening but offered us drinks and accommodations while we wait or come back the next day for an early check in! They have been so accommodating and conpationate to my family that if course we came back to claim the rest of our stay with them! We definitely made the right choice. Live music daily from 12pm til late night. On site bar and grill, quick access to the beach ( each room gets either a cabana or two chairs with an umbrella)! On site ice machines, bathrooms located conveniently on the resort! The resort is a bit dated and some tile is cracked but this resort is so much fun and relaxing! Our terrible start to our family vacation quickly was turned around by this resort!!! Definitely recommend going! This was our first time ever going to st. Pete and we had so much fun!

Don't sleep on this nice little hotel right on the beach. From the front it may not look like much but once you get into the courtyard the place is amazing. Beds were super comfortable and rooms were newly updated. Great outdoor bar area during the day and night! If your a beach person this location is great. A quick minute walk amd your on the beach with chairs provided.

Great place on the beach at a good price by 2022 standards. The hotel isn't perfect but it's overall a really great place. The room we were in seemed to have been updated recently which was nice. Jimmy B's is a great place for drinks, live music and a decent lunch. You get a free cabana on the beach with your room which is awesome. If you're looking to party come on the weekend. If you're looking to relax come during the week. Totally different vibes. Shout-out to Yaya and Derrick who were wonderful to us at the front desk.

2 grand for 4 nights and I’m highly disappointed. at the quality in relation to the price. First off it is old and rundown and parking sucks. It is so tight you have to unload before you pull in to a space If you park on the side you have to back all the way down the alley to get out. If you leave you’re lucky to get a spot when you come back. Parking behind 7-11 was full and we were told to park next door because they don’t have an attendant. So you can pay for a room but not guaranteed a place to park. Room is updated but awkward. No door on closet or weird side room with extremely uncomfortable furniture. The color is dark and you have to keep the shades drawn unless you want everyone walking by to look in. The other window is eye level to the parking alley. Bathroom window has a “coat hanger” lock on it?? Called the front desk 3 times from the room phone and nobody answers. Had to call their direct number from my cell phone to get an answer. Then had to walk to the lobby to ask a question. They were nice but don’t answer the phone. Jimmy B’s bar and restaurant is really just a bar. Dude on a bicycle brought the food back and forth from somewhere else. Took over an hour to get a way over priced burger and fries. Waitress was nice and waited in our table the best she could. It is open to the public and people can just come in and hang out in the courtyard right outside your door and roam around the property. Live music played until 1:00 am and is super loud in the room. I have smelled pot ALL DAY LONG! It’s obvious that this place has a party reputation for a pretty wild crowd. If you are not here to party and get wasted, save your money and go somewhere with a little class. We cancelled after the first night. The manager was nice enough to waive the cancel fee and we appreciate that. We went to their sister hotel, the Bellwether for the same price and couldn’t be happier! The Beachcomber should be half of what they charge.

Would definitely stay here again! Rooms were clean when we got here. The available couches and hammocks were great for relaxing throughout the day or night. Two pools available which were clean. It had direct access to walk out on the beach. The bar on site had music daily and more great seating. The staff helped to accommodate us for different requests. Overall, was very happy with our stay here.
