I visited when there was no temp exhibit, so at this time it was a one-gallery museum, which felt more than a little underwhelming. An impressive collection of Dali's work, to be sure, but hard to call it a *museum* when there is only one room of artwork. Just feels like a lot more could be done with this space to make it feel more whole. For example, the gift shop is nearly larger than the gallery. And for gods sake would it kill you guys to have more than one shirt with some cotton content? Almost every shirt in the store was 100% polyester, which is worse for our oceans than single-user water bottles. I do realize it's the "Dali museum" and not the "surrealist museum", but I do think bringing in the work of other surrealists to inform what was going on in the genre at the time would give more context to his work. The architecture of the building is lovely and the skylights positioned to illuminate the Masterworks (Dali's largest paintings) is a great use of the space. Bring some headphones because the audio tour app is valuable to get a deeper understanding of some of the pieces. I wish they had a recording for every piece, especially given that the whole museum is just one room. Be warned that parking is $10 extra, separate from your admission fees. I am glad I went, there were some works I was thrilled to see in person, but now that I've been, probably won't be back.

The museum offers an amazing journey into Dali's artwork stemming from the depths of his and our subconsciousness. The museum doesn't seem very large from the outside, but I spent there almost 6 hours, so my advice is "Take your time and explore it in detail"! The "360° experience" in the dome outside in the garden is so much worth the ticket, please don't miss it when you visit, and I would even recommend to start with it, so it will be a sort of guide for the rest of your visit. It is true that Dali paintings are like icebergs - only 10% of the meaning is straightforwardly perceived. For the rest, you need to think and delve into hidden symbols, structures and even mathematics. Hence, I strongly advise you to take the guided tour. The docent, who guided our tour really opened my eyes to the non-obvious messages in Dali's artwork. This museum is an absolute MUST if you live or visit St. Petersburg, Florida!

Amazing museum, definitely need to see it while in St. Pete! The permanent collection of Dali's work is immaculate with some readily recognizable pieces, and others that you really have to look closely at to see all of the amazing detail placed into his work. The building itself is gorgeous, and outside there are Dali references sprinkled around, even as you're walking up the front steps. The rotating exhibit on the third floor was cool to see, and they had another Dali piece stashed away in there! You also absolutely have to walk through the garden outside, lots of fun photo opportunities! Lastly, don't forget to attach your wristband to the wish tree! You can do it yourself, or you can leave it in a box up front for museum staff to put on the tree for you (but it's more fun and personal to do it yourself).

The Dali Museum is quite the experience a d absolutely worth making it a highlight of any trip to the area. The parking is $10 for all day and can be limited but we found it no issue. No backpack type bags are allowed and only disposable water bottles are allowed (first floor only). Luckily they have free lockers just outside the museum to stow your stuff, especially if you like to carry water like me and want to go upstairs to see Dali’s works. I suggest you purchase the tickets ahead of time because it can get crowded/busy and you want to ensure your entry. The outing will be pricey, especially if you add on the “360 experience”, some snacks, drinks at the cafe and of course…the souvenir shop. At first we weren’t going to do the “360 experience” but decided on it last minute since we already made the trip out there. I have to say it was worth it! We absolutely loved it and found it inspiring and moving. We’d do it again. Plan a trip to The Dali Museum and give yourself time to enjoy all it has to offer. The art pieces themselves are incredible and I could’ve easily spent all day here, there’s truly a lot to see, especially if you read about each piece. There’s a small theater that plays Dali’s life story on repeat, which we enjoyed. The building itself is gorgeous and something Dali would’ve loved!

Wonderful museum, if you have time when in St. Pete's you should go. Enjoyed the coffee bar as well. My only tip or comment would be if you go to the 360 show, go early, we paid for 3 people and chairs were gone so we had to sit on floor, made that part not a good experience.

There were many works by Dali, and I was able to learn about the process by which his style changed. Dali's wife was depicted in many of his works. I wasn't that interested in Dali, but I wanted to know more about him. The garden was cute, and there were plenty of souvenir in the shop and they had cafe to relax. In DALI ALIVE 360°, Dali's paintings were moving, and very interested.but it made my neck hurt to look around.

This was my second visit; my first visit was before COVID and I feel things have changed a lot. When we went, there was a Picasso exhibit which was pretty cool since Dali was inspired by his work. Picasso was fascinating to see. Once we got over to the Dali side, I feel like a lot of the pieces that used to be shown have been pulled down and not replaced with new paintings. There were several things that I think should be addressed. First, the fact that you cannot bring large purses into the museum is bizarre to me. My friend brought her backpack and was let inside but then when we went to go upstairs the security dude said she couldn't take it upstairs. Just weird. Second, the theater movie wasn't working when we went in so we missed whatever that was supposed to be. We didn't stay to go around the grounds since it was pretty crowded and honestly we felt like we were being followed around. This sucks because I really enjoyed the art work by both Picasso and Dali. Third, I never received a custom painting that was done virtually even though I put in my phone number into the system - that was pretty disappointing when I got the text but only asked me to sign up for the newsletter :-/ Can't speak for the deli or gift shop since we just left as soon as we were done checking the artwork. Took us about 2 hrs to see it all.

Parking was $10, (all day parking), however parking is limited. There was a graduation at the theater next door and a boat show, we got lucky and got one of the last spots. They were asking folks to park just two blocks away. There are docent tours every hour 12:30, 130… check before you go and do go, fascinating! So knowledgeable and polite. There is a Dalí Cafe, delicious (limited indoor seating but worth the wait). I don’t normally enjoy museum cafes but this one had very tasty food (we had the cheese plate, bread plate and carrot hummus, plus coffee and tea. The is a decent selection of Dali photos, paintings and information and you can go online to learn more. I would go back again since our friend is not much of a reader and is more of a quick browser. I would like to spend a bit more time and perhaps go on another docent tour. Go, enjoy and try the cafe, too!

The museum was beautiful and educational. Learning about the artist, Salvador Dali, and the things and people who inspired his art was such a fun experience. The gift store is packed with stunning merchandise celebrating not just Salvador Dali, but also many other well-known artists. The small garden out behind the museum is fun and whimsical, and the surrounding seating area offered stunning views of the area and waterfront. My favorite part of the exhibit was the area where you can take a selfie and the exhibit transitions that selfie into an impressionistic art piece.

The Dali Museum is a real masterpiece of art in itself. Perfectly placed for lunch or dinner after your visit. The collection is outstanding. The layout takes you through Dali's life and work. The lighting is just right. The staff is very helpful. There's an app you can connect to that gives you the history of each painting. I will go again the next time I'm near.

Let me just say that I am not an art guy, nor am I artistic in the slightest. Let me also say that I absolutely enjoyed myself every bit during my visit to the Dali Museum! Dali really stands out with his art, which I am sure you are aware of that. But seeing his history and the work he made was astonishing. I was mesmerized throughout the experience and definitely recommend planning a visit here. Our visit was fun for the whole family, including our 10 year old daughter. Do know that with this being art, there is some nudity involved, so be prepared to handle that accordingly if you have little ones.

The Dali is an amazing collection of his works. We went the weekend before the Grand Prix so it added a slight difficulty in finishing the museum. You do have a 10$ parking fee if you park in the Dali parking lot. The museum has a very strict bag rule, if it looks anything like a backpack, of any size ( small sling pack ) even if they could clearly see it is being used as a purse. You are required to wear a mask while inside the building. ( covid ) even with all that just seeing Dali's pieces was well worth it. You are able to take pictures, ONLY FOR YOUR OWN PERSONAL USE.

One of the best small museums in the country. I often take family and friends when they visit and it’s always a highlight of their trip. Even those that aren’t necessarily “art lovers” enjoy the history of Salvadore Dali and especially the wonderful gift shop. Worth every penny! But plan ahead and make reservations as they do book up!

Beautiful and breathtaking art collection! This is definitely a must visit for Dalí fans. Hearing one of the museum curators talk about the history of some of the pieces was truly an honor. I was blown away of how unique each piece was. We were there early afternoon around 1pm- not a lot of people so we were able to enter normally. They also have a gift shop if you like collecting souvenirs. Make sure to get your tickets online to guarantee entry. I definitely recommend visiting this museum.

I mean its really a 3 1/2 stars. I enjoyed my time but it could have been better. The artwork was displayed beautifully but a little chaotic. The building was very beautiful and open and the cafe was reasonably priced. They were very strict on masks, yet all of the staff were wearing cloth masks, which the CDC has already said that they don't do anything so.... But the staff were very nice. And if you are a Salvador Dali fan then you must go!

Quaint, but time well spent if you take great company. Love the history of the art owners , I frequent the Dali as they have great temporary exhibitions. It was just nice to take a gander at during our girls weekend out. The interactive pieces are awesome learning opportunities. We also got lucky as there was a small festival behind the museum after Cheers!!

Everything here is CARD ONLY. Parking is $10, cash not accepted. Tickets should be purchased online in advance. The gallery itself is interesting and always has a traveling show on the other half of the art gallery. The architecture is STUNNING! There is a small room where children can draw, color, and make crafts. The cafe is small the line was ridiculously long when we attended on a weekday. The garden outside was fun but small. I enjoyed the gift shop with clever trinkets. I would bring out of towners here or to see the subsequent exhibits.

This Museum is spectacular. The architecture is well-suited to display an artist like Salvador Dali. The design suggests ideas of things rather than actual things. Dali was Spanish, a Surrealist and a big believer in Freud's theories about dominance of dreams & subconscious. Dali was very popular in the 1950s through 70s. He was a master technician in his craft. His works are evocative and in-your-face simultaneously, full of wild, uncomfortable images. For me, it feels like he's trying too hard. I did, however, appreciate seeing his works in this magnificent collection. Picasso works were also on special display. His series on Bull Fighting is extraordinary-- gruesome subject but his culture, his passion. Photos of Picasso give you a look at his intensity. If you like either artist. GO!

Very nice museum with a lot of staff members and volunteers helping and plenty of fun activities. Very nice yard with a couple of art installations. The only reason why I gave four stars is when compared with some large art museum’s, price for the admission and parking costs are a little bit on the high end. Everything else was spot on. Highly recommend downloading the app and using the virtual reality function and narration. We also learned a lot on the guided tour.

An awesome gallery. The Dali and Picasso exhibits were well laid out. The audio guide is certainly worth downloading on the app. It enables you to look at the picture while the explanation is being read. The cafe food was well worth the price. The presentation was artistic as well as delicious. Be sure and allow time to walk in the garden. This is a must-see art gallery if you're in the Tampa Bay area.

This is a bucket list museum for art lovers and I’m thrilled to say I saw it! There is a playful essence to the museum that is lovable. The views and architecture are gorgeous and the galleries are quick to walk through. It was quite crowded though on a Saturday around lunch time in August, this is the reason I took one star off. Ideally I would’ve liked to have time to see each piece however it was so crowded I could only glance at pieces and had to wait for crowds to disperse so I could take longer looks and read labels. I had pre purchased tickets so my party did not have to wait in the line that wrapped outside of the building. The gift shop was great too. Again, I highly recommend going to this museum. It is truly one of a kind and iconic for St Pete.

Smaller than I thought it would be, but it’s a well-curated collection and I loved the interactive components - the VR experience was awesome, and the learn to draw like Dali room was also very fun. The AR exploration of the art was also very cool and brought the pieces to life, but I wish it had included more history or meaning/information about the highlighted portions. I would like to go back once they open the dome.

If it wasn’t for the paid parking I would have gave it a 5 star because you will already pay around 45 dollars for entrance and Dali 360 alone. The building is amazing and it’s a must visit for any Dali fan. The Dali 360 Dome was great and my favorite was the augmented reality experience! The work of Dali is alive and surrounding you so try and make time for this as there may be a line. Staff was friendly, gift shop was amazing, they have a nice cafe and outside garden to enjoy. I loved my visit which was my 5th time and will go again. Highly recommended.

I had such an incredible time at the Salvador Dalí Museum! The art blew my mind and went beyond what I expected. Initially, I thought I'd just pop in for a bit, but I got so engrossed that I decided to grab an annual pass. The museum has this awesome vibe, and everything is meticulously maintained. If you're into art, it's an absolute must-visit. I personally loved every moment! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I went for the Van Gogh Alive exhibit, which was absolutely amazing. That being said, people could have been a bit more spread apart. They've put a lot of precautions in place for Covid, though, so it isn't too concerning...I just wish the people there would have taken a bit more consideration for the others around them. I'll also say that souvenirs were a lot more expensive than what I had expected, which was unfortunate...but honestly it was at least worth the money for the tickets. Beautiful museum with beautiful art.

Getting to be four inches from the actual work of the best surrealist of all time was AMAZING!! The whole museum experience was terrific. They also had a Picasso exhibit going on, which was cool to get to see another legendary surrealist’s work. But, clearly only confirmed who the 🐐was. Dali is, without question the best! Only now I’ve got to add Spain to the bucket list.

If in the area and wanna see some cool art. Stop by, totally reminded me of my childhood seeing some of the paintings. I was like wow I remember seeing that a long time ago in school. Overall a fun place to check out and explore. The art has so much detail when you actually look at it. Good time.

Wow! What a complete treat! I have wanted to visit this museum for years and visiting today was super special. Drove all the way across the water to visit! And we will gladly do it again! It was exciting, interactive….participation was welcomed and the exhibit overall was a huge gathering of culture and pure information. We indulged in the cafe prior and so happy we did. the employee near the AR painting with Abraham Lincoln’s imagery was just so cheerful, and helpful. She smiled with her eyes behind her mask and made our night even more enjoyable while she mentioned “easter eggs” for us to find as we explored the exhibit. Every corner of the museum kept us wanting more. From the enchanting outside garden, the introduction theater, the Picasso exhibit, the cool gift shop, and of course the Dali exhibit….I highly recommend all of it. I can’t believe I shared the same space with actual salvador Dali pieces right in beautiful st. Pete Florida! Wow!

Well-curated art museum with rotating exhibits. The Dali offers interactive and immersive experiences seamlessly weaved into traditional gallery displays. The in-house cafe serves a surprisingly extensive menu of snacks, lunches, and beverages. The proximity to the Saint Pete Pier is also a plus!

Beautiful building and collection. I do have some complaints, though. For one, whoever designed the lighting that lights up the pieces did a mediocre job. A lot of the pieces have a big glare from the light. Cell pics of the pieces are nearly impossible. There’s a big parking lot but unfortunately costs extra which I disagree with. There’s a student discount on tickets but tickets are still more pricey than I’d prefer. The collection is beautiful and worth seeing in person. I do wish there was more of it though. It’s supposedly the largest single collection of Dali’s work which leaves me wondering where the rest of it is if that’s the case. He made hundreds of paintings and there’s maybe 40 here. Give yourself enough time to browse the gift shop at the end. Their book collection is extensive. And if you have a backpack style purse just be aware it won’t be allowed inside. Many museums let you wear it on one shoulder or hold it during your stay but it won’t be allowed inside at all here. I had to leave a lot of valuable belongings in my car which I wasn’t thrilled about.

If you like Dali art, this place is amazing! Thursdays after 5 pm is half price, but I would recommend a membership. Parking is free for members! Plus, you could easily come back multiple times so it will pay for itself. Also take a few minutes at the drawing exhibit and draw like Dali!!

The augmented reality of his art using the application was amazing! The virtual reality as well was a really immersive experience and I give props to the developers for both for their amazing work put into it. Definitely go visit!

The food was a bit expensive 😞 and pay for parking 10$ but glad there was parking . There were quite a-lot of people and loud in the museum so kinda had to rush then go back to read the ones we missed. Over all it was a great experience. Also, every worker we had contact with was so friendly!!

I always wanted to visit this museum as it houses the 2nd largest collection of Dali works— the largest collection being being in Spain— so, once I knew I’d be in the area, I decided to go. Luckily, it was a Thursday, so it was half-price after 5p. I was staying in the hotel just a block or so away, so I walked. I did purchase my ticket online in advance, and there was a short wait to get in. There is a little cafe, and I ate my evening meal there— it was good food, and there is a bar and a number of tables both inside and outside. It’s by the water so it’s a nice view, and the architecture is beautiful. Dali art, like all art, is subjective, and it’s not really my style. I find most of it too abstract for my tastes, though he does have a few paintings that are beautiful. But, as I said, I always wanted to visit this museum so it was a must-see for me. I joined a free museum tour, and it was very informative. No regrets!

Such a great and interactive museum which kept adults and kids engaged. It has an activity that uses AI to make your image into a piece of art and interactive app that animates different parts of the paintings and tells you about each. The Cafe at the museum was stellar. My whole family enjoyed Spanish food on the patio. Lovely!

We love the Dali exhibits. The Dome was really cool. We felt that the lights turned down for more of the show would have been nice. Not sure why it was kept so light for much of the show. I was disappointed, however, in the staff. Not so friendly. A few welcoming smiles would be nice.

Amazing art collection!!! It's definitely worth checking out if you like Dali. The building itself is interesting, the spiral staircase in the center of the cafe is a cool feature. Dali 360 show (costs extra) was awesome for making his art come alive and for a timeline of his life. There's a cafe and a gift shop inside the museum.

Clean, well organized and extremely well filled with very many examples of his work. 25$ per ticket. 2 shows currently the Dali exhibition and a wonderful multi media Van Gogh exhibit. Like nothing I've ever seen. VG brought to larger than life with extraordinary musical accompaniment. Great venue, worth the trip!

Pre-COVID, a friend of ours recommended we stop by St. Pete to visit the Dali Museum while we were in town visiting Disney World with our extended family. It was a day trip that we had to set aside time to do, but worth it. We didn't have a lot of time once we got there (traffic is gnarly), but could quickly tell that St. Pete was a lovely city we have to go back and see more of. At the time, we were intent on making sure we hit up The Dali Museum, which was surrounded by beauty throughout. We pulled up expecting to go inside to see art but did not expect to see art throughout the facility. I can't think of a prettier museum that I've visited in my life so we took advantage of its beauty with plenty of photo ops throughout. It was really cool to finally be able to see his work up close, with some we were surprised to find how small they were! For instance, The Persistence of Memory "Melting Clocks" was the most popular piece, always surrounded by an audience, and you really had to get up close to see it. Otherwise, we learned a lot about his life with a guided audio tour which helped us get into his mind as we browsed through each of his works. One of my favorite rooms ended up being the interactive room where you could walk through clouds projected in an empty room and put yourself into his art with a photo. Would definitely recommend a visit, especially if you're into art!

I have called, left messages and written several emails inquiring if wheelchairs are permitted for the Van Gough exhibit. No one ever responds. Can anyone there at least answer a simple question? We live 4 hours away & obviously can’t go if it’s not handicap accessible. But no one will respond.

Excellent experience all around. From the moment you step foot into the museum to the time you walk out. It is worth every penny, I highly recommend taking the time to visit this museum, it is not very large but you could spend a good two to three hours if you appreciate Salvador Dali's work. The staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and help provide the best experience.

Salvador Dali Museum. Wow !!! Do not kid yourself for one second. This is a true world class museum filled to the bone of some of the best paintings in the world, thats right I said it. It is very easy to dismiss, not a well-known city for the Arts but it just so happens the family that actually owns the paintings are or were retired here in Saint Pete, and they made a deal with the city to build this museum. If you live here please don’t take it for granted go for free in the summer , they have that one free weekend for residents and bring the kids. Salvador Dali is perhaps one of the greats in the art world, a true Genius, in every respect. Personally I’m more of a Michelangelo/Rembrandt kind of guy but I do appreciate Salvador’s view of the world. I promise you one thing if any , go there with an open mind, grab a beer in the lobby get in a tour and they will describe the paintings as they go and YOU will be amazed. I will post one of my favorites. It takes up a whole wall in the museum and is truly a master piece. Go and have a good time we always do. Cheers

I love this museum. Their special exhibitions are always so well thought out and planned. We recently went to see the Vangoh live experience and it was amazing!!! Dali, the gardens and the tapas bar also never get old even if you have been several times. It is a must if I'm visiting St Pete's

What really brought this museum to life for me was the interactive app that complemented the exhibition with its audio tour as well as the augmented virtual reality spin! Super cool and highly recommend to use the app to fully immerse yourself in Dalí's world! All of the art shown here is out of this world. So crazy and outlandish, but there is a lot of Dalí's earlier work that showcases his growth and technical ability. The architecture of this building is phenomenal too! Really cool to see in person. They currently have a video exhibition of Vincent van Gogh. It's an interesting take, but unfortunately they do not have his physical work. Pretty cool to walk through and it's different since it's large screens that feature his most notable work with quotes from him. Gift shop is really well done too! A lot of goodies for purchase that really captures the essence of Dalí. Overall, a musuem that you must check out in the St. Pete area! Don't skip it!!

It was okay. The Van Gogh exhibit was good. The other collection okay. The location beautiful.

I attended the original one in the area just before it was shutdown to transfer to this current building. And I must say what a great choice. The dedicated Dali space is filled with classic art and modern smartphone interfaces. Dali is literally brought to life. Along with whatever artist is being honored with an instillation. Paying for parking stinks but that’s about it. Decently priced tickets, quaint coffee/pastry shop inside, just awesome gift shop. And it couldn’t be more fun to chill on the patio and wander the courtyard. Following all pandemic safety guidelines very seriously. Can’t wait to go back!

The Van Gogh Experience exhibit was immersive, touching, and will leave you in awe.

  • 4/5 Ryan J. 3 years ago on Google
Was very nice and the art was amazing, but I will say it was smaller than I expected overall. Add to that the exhibit visiting was half the space so kinda wanted more Dali.

  • 2/5 Jonathan C. 3 years ago on Google
Total joke! Timed tickets so you can wait outside only be let in (after a temperature check) and have to wait in a packed line to take a shokingly slow elevator up. The last thing you want is loitering crowds inside. Did not feel safe. Trader Joe's is so much better and they don't charge $10 to park!

For a truly surreal escape, check out the Starry Night exhibit going on until April 2021 at the Dali Museum. Walk among huge projections of Vincent Van Gogh paintings while haunting music moves you to another dimension. The experience is unlike any museum experience you have had and sure to please even the most jaded observer.

The Van Gogh Alive exhibit was disappointing, but my bad for not reading the full description of the exhibit. It's basically an oversize, digitized, slide show in a room full of people, nowhere to sit, and certainly not six feet apart, for ~45 minutes. Save yourself some money and go online to view Van Gogh's work.

We did the Van Gohg experience and it was great, but they should provide seating for the elderly, its too long a show for them to stand.

Highly recommended when in St Petersburg Florida. Really interesting museum near downtown so easy to find and tons of free parking near by. We only spent about an hour or so but I could have stayed much longer and I would recommend a minimum of 2 hours be set aside for this event. My group was on our way to dinner and moved fairly quickly through the displays. Great fun! Be sure to take the time to load the app and watch the augmented reality , it's a real eye opener.

My husband and I visited the museum for our anniversary and loved the whole experience. It was the perfect amount of art with the exhibition included. We started off with a sangria in the garden area, the video in the theater, then upstairs to look at the art. Parking was easy also! Overall, a great experience.

This place is extravagantly overpriced considering what you get in return. You pay $10 parking + $30 admission for a one hour experience! I was disappointed to learn that Dalí’s most famous painting, The Persistence of Memory, is in New York. There was no docent-led tour available when I visited because the museum did not have adequate staff (despite paying $40). The Sunken Gardens offers free parking, yet charges only $15. Go there instead.

St.Pete’s got it, especially w museums like this. So many hidden symbols and meanings and influences we didn’t know about. Do the tour, the docent is excellent. My kids had to think to find the ‘bull fighter’ and ‘drinking dog.’ Made driving over the Howard Franklin in a thunderstorm totally worth it:).

If you study metaphysics, Laws of the universe, spiritual Science, and love art. Then you must come to The Dali Museum in Tampa Florida. You will discover a genius, never learned about from any art class. What a genius to be able to communicate his visions and emotions, and dreams through paintings. Many of his pieces of art were like fractals within fractals. Make sure you preview the movie prior to the exhibit. It’ll impact the entire experience. Download museum app to watch the holographic art come to life. While enjoying the cafe outside, use the interactive app to continue discovering and learning about the architecture, gardens, and sculptures. Education could be continued from inside to outside

Absolutely amazing collection! Everyone should come at least once! The drawing collection was so much worth it. I got to draw in his honor, too! Representing one of his first paintings!

  • 5/5 Rebecca S. 8 months ago on Google
Great collection. Pricey admission, but look out for discounts for locals and various FB events. I particularly enjoyed seeing his earlier work and insights into his evolution as an artist. I'd like to return with more time for the full audio/app tour. Plan for 4-6 hours.

Beautiful place to experience art. Highly recommended doing the 3D art show. It was definitely worth it. Gift shop and the staff were very nice.

  • 5/5 Michelle 8 months ago on Google
I love this place. It is always organized when it comes to exhibits or special events. The staff do a great job with instruction, security, and answering your questions. The grounds are beautiful and a nice way to spend some time having a Cafe or snack after the exhibit. The gift shop is well stocked with books, shirts, magnets, post cards and other gifts. I will definitely visit again for future exhibits.

This is an incredibly well done museum with a staggering collection of Dali paintings. If you are even the slightest fan...Go! The only downside is the cost. It's probably more expensive than 75% of the museums in NYC. 3 people with the extra 360 show was over $150. Still go.

  • 4/5 Mike J. 7 months ago on Google
That art was cool. The layout was nice. Had to pay $10 to park plus the tickets. It was just a giant open parking lot in the middle of nowhere. Nobody was there to fight over spots. Kind of garbage the charge you to park. I understand these paintings are rare, delicate and priceless, but security was on my butt. I was pointing at a section of a giant painting and security ran up and told me to stay back. 1. I was back. There was a little rope up off the ground, about 3 feet from the art. I was about a foot back from that. So chill bro. I'm not trying to touch it. 2. Then I was followed the rest of my time there, like I was Danny Ocean. Pretty cool place, but expensive. Not worth going unless you are REALLY REALLY REALLY into art or Salvador Dali.

This was my first time visiting The Dali Museum, and I was very happy with my visit! There is a dedicated parking lot available for visitors, and they charge a small fee for it. Once you are inside the museum, there is much to see on Salvador Dali and other artists before and during his time! Dali’s paintings and other art along with paintings from many well known artists are displayed in the museum. After you pass the gift shop, there is an entrance to the museum, which is on multiple floors. A staircase will lead you to the upper levels, and elevators are also there. On the upper floor, there are some beautiful views of waters surrounding St. Petersburg, and it is an excellent place for taking pictures! Also, the Dali Alive 360 degree experience is not to be missed because it showcases his life from humble beginnings to his visits to the United States. In the gift shop, there are two large screens where Dali gives you his advice, and where you can also get your pictures taken with Dali! In summary, I highly recommend visiting the Dali Museum to everyone on your next trip to Tampa, Florida!

Bought tickets in advance on Groupon. Still had to wait in line for people buying tickets. It was weird. Other than that, we perused around. The art is very interesting to see and read. My 16 year old enjoyed it and read the materials used and background stories for each piece. We were there maybe an hour.

We went at 5 so we had to speed through the whole place ! Really great art work on display. Wasn’t familiar with Dali’s work but now I’m a fan. We didn’t do the Dali Experience since it was a $15 add on. We spent $30 a pop for me and my wife. Cool museum though and prime location near everything in DT St Pete walking distance from the pier !
