3/3/2023 update: Waited over an hour past my appt time and then left. Called to let them know I left and to cancel all future appts and deactivate me as a client. Was put on hold twice, I hung up. This place has given me so much more grief on top of what I originally came there for. I regret giving them another chance. I went to my intake appointment on 11/8/2022. I waited nearly an hour before I saw a therapist. I don't think my appointment was on the schedule because the therapist I saw said she had previous appointments but she and I would take our time since they didn't have anyone assigned to see me. I connected well with the therapist and felt comfortable opening up. But when I was brought back up to the client service representative to schedule my assessment, I stood there awkwardly as she stared at her computer trying to figure something out. She initially told me I would need to come back to complete the intake with the therapist. I told her I thought we completed it. She didn't see any notes stating that, so she told me to come back in an hour. By the time I left and got in my car, I received a call from the receptionist saying that she saw I did complete the intake so I wouldn't have to come back. I asked to schedule the appointment for my assessment, and I was told to give her an hour and she will call back with dates and times. Never received a call. Over the course of 2 weeks I've called, left a voicemail on the main number and another one on intake therapist's extension. One of the times I called, I selected the prompt for appointments. I finally reached a real-life person. After explaining my experience, the woman on the phone that she only deals with scheduling first-time appointments and she will transfer me for ongoing appointments. Even after I told her that I have not been able to reach anyone and the line would ring and ring and go to voicemail. It's been a month and I still haven't heard anything. It took me over 5 years to work up to getting into therapy, so this is a huge disappointment that I've tried this hard and nobody in the entire clinic seems to make it impossible. For many people, therapy is their last hope. Based on reviews over the years, it seems this place has always been like this, but I was hoping for a better experience.

Watch the documentary “Take Care of Maya”. The doctors from Suncoast are evil people who want to destroy families and take children away from their parents. I hope their is justice for yhe Kowalski family and Dr Sally Smith loses her license. What an evil person.

When I first started going they said I would need to do a plan of care once a year they changed it to every 6 months with out telling me. If you don't do the plan of care you can't see your doctor. The first time in August I missed work and did the plan of care. They then schedule me for another plan of care for Feb. 7th with out telling me. After leaving several voicemails I finally got a hold of someone. Her response..if you don't do the plan of care you can't see the doctor. I called back got Juan..the supervisor for scheduling. He asked if I could come in on 2/6/23 that he would put a note in for me so I wouldn't have to wait very long. Checked in at 520 at 645 after asking a couple of times how much longer I was told I needed to reschedule because they couldn't reach anyone in the back and the OnCall wasn't even answering. I told them I had left work early and had paid an Uber. I have mental illness..one of my triggers is being out after dark by myself. When I got upset the lady at the front desk actually saidt can't deal wis. I watch several staff members leave as I was waiting for my Uber at 7pm... they couldn't reach anyone but a full staff left. This is supposed to be a mental health clinic refered by the county and the staff acts rude and uncaring. I did what I was told to and still don't get to see my doctor. I left a voicemail for Juan Monday night. Today is Wednesday still no word back.

Understaff and rude. Had an appointment with my prescriber 3 weeks later I'm still waiting for the prescription my pharmacy has contacted them several times still waiting...came here in person so far keep waiting to see if someone cares and comes out to talk to me. By the way at this point Zoloft should be sold OTC. After waiting for 1.5 hrs nobody came out to help me and since we need to get a number and rotten there waiting...I decided to leave. Don't waste your time go to another place. We go there looking for help and we leave worst than how we were :(

18 calls I’ve made, not returned but 1 time, when I was in surgery. This place is ridiculous the way they treat patients. They supposedly take messages but I never get a call back. Whoever is in charge should set back and look how this practice operates. I always wondered why 3 people became frustrated. I waited 45 min in lobby for appointment.

Other parent took child here without my knowledge. Didn't ask to speak to me nor ever asked other parent for court order. Was told I wasn't really in son's life and what little, complete alcoholic and neglect child. Each session with child was a other parent bashing session. Other step parent was the one feeding false information to therapist. They didn't even get my brothers name right and my son loves his uncle. Finally obtained the records and saw what all this was. Top notch therapists seem to catch all this. Hope this place closes. Look at all the reviews. They do more harm than good.

Watched employee testify in state court that they were in contempt of child / parent visit time order by not providing the service for Maya and her mother. Furthermore allowed outside 3rd party wiretapping bully of the hospital on the call interruption that clearly harassed child and mother. The wire tapping like, eavesdropping bully should have been reported for all these unlawful acts by the supervisor appointed by the court. Cannot just put money contracts over mental health when it comes to family mental health care!

I've heard so many negative things concerning Suncoast a place that's supposed to help individuals who are fighting a mental disease. Maybe a higher advocate in mental illness should investigate. People who are less fortunate to pay for mental help should still be treated with dignity. I'm sure being there is the last place they want to be, but rather feel better daily.

Been a patient since 2010 and thou I have gone through various therapists since going there, they have always been kind, supportive and there when I needed them. Sometimes it's hard to get through, but they always get back in touch and do as they said they would. God bless them!

Started taking my son here in in 2015. He weighed 190 lb. He started going to canceling and taking medications that they were giving him for mental issues. Every visit we would go back he would gain weight. So they saw he was having a problem and did nothing about it. Within a year he had doubled his weight to close to 400 lb. These people ought to be put in jail under the jail.

My son has gone through this office for years for his meds and he has to see a doctor there every three months to get his scrip renewed. The problem is that, starting about a year ago, it's impossible to get his appointments made. You can't make them in the office, they absolutely refuse and say someone will call. But nobody EVER calls to make the appointment. So I call, and no one ever answers the appointment lines. You have to leave a voicemail, which they never return. The automated thing gives the appointment supervisor's (Juan at 4181) extension and says to call that if no one calls you back. HE never answers his phone and never returns voicemail. Every three months I have to call and leave messages over and over and over again, until someone finally calls back weeks later. I honestly think they are trying to drive away their patients by being completely inaccessible, which is horrible for the CHILDREN they see who are on medication.

I really regret the time I wasted here. They’re extremely unprofessional from my stand point. I ran out of my medicine and had to deal, because of whatever problems they have with their own staff. Literally one asking me for the others name. The office supervisor doesn’t do his job in a timely and logical fashion at all. I’m much happier that I moved on and would never recommend this place to my family or friends.

A number of times now I've had the displeasure of speaking with Gail. She never lets me finish speaking before she interrupts me to tell me she's not going to do anything to help me. I have a very important prescription schedule I have to adhere to, and I was asking for assistance I was told would be available to me. Gail interrupted me very rudely and insisted no such help existed. I can only imagine the mental anguish this robot has caused others, she should be sorting mail someplace not talking to patients.

I do not recommend this place at all. They called and cxl two phone appointments I had that were very important to me for medicine and then when I left a message cxl my therapy appointment and asked for a call back to reschedule, I never got a phone call back and they never told my therapist that I was not coming. If you can find another place to go then do it but good luck because I'm still looking but nothing is better then this...

Loretta Harvey and Suncoast saved my life!! I urge anyone who is struggling and feel like there is no light at the end of the tunnel, seek help!! It’s not a glamorous facility and you may need some patience, but it is well with it if you have the will to make a change in your life!! JUST DO IT!!! PS I miss you Loretta!! 🤗

I haven't recieved a call in months get checked on maybe 3 times & then the phone calls stop for months again. I've tried with this place for years but the turnover rate is so high here you end up losing your therapist & have to get a new one every few months. It's not worth the headache anymore.

Be prepared to sit and wait for hours even when you have an appointment. The front staff could care less and are always rude. Only thing good about this place is my nurse practitioner

Faculty is kind and understanding. No hidden fees. Talk therapist I have met try their best to help with resources available to them. Sadly they do not provide psilocybin or ketamine therapy for more severe cases

CHILD KIDNAPPERS —DO NOT TRUST It is absolutely nauseating that your company still exists. Your entire organization should be shut down and your entire staff should either be convicted or fired. You failed many children. Your mission statement listed on your website is a crock of lies. Not entirely sure how your organization can sleep at night, knowing that you caused a mother to take her own life because of incompetency and recklessness. You’ve ruined many peoples lives, and it will catch up to you. Your employees’ children should be taken away for the parents lack of competency so everyone can question their own lives. This organization is the scum of the earth and will be legally obliterated eventually. With enough of the public speaking out, you should expect a thorough investigation of your suspicious, deliberately dangerous, dishonorable organization. It is only to be imagined that you are committing insurance fraud in addition to condoning malpractice and hiring fraudulent individuals. Suncoast Centers will not be around in due time. Karma knows. Your entire entity deserves a lifetime of pain. Your timely reprimand will come and due time.

I had Roberto Font as a therapist, one time, and he was not helpful for me at all, he would give me stipulations and told me he would drop me as a patient if i didn't give him records from a previous provider. i felt uncomfortable in his office, he would spend a lot of time taking someone's side while we worked together. i would not recommend him to anyone.

I've had a couple of good therapists here in being a client 10+ years here. Would not recommend getting medication through them- I waited a month for a call back just to schedule an appt, and had to wean myself off of my medications they prescribed me because the pharmacy couldn't get an authorization from them in time before running out of medication.

The therapists I've had were great but Suncoast is run so poorly. I had 3 different appointments with my therapist where a psychologist was supposed to come in and diagnose me .The 3 times the psychologist failed to show up. So I stayed with the same therapist instead of moving on to someone who could help me better. My daughters therapist left and we were promised they'd have a new therapist set up before he left the practice. My daughters have waited almost 2 months to be seen by a trauma therapist. I've been promised for 2 months now that I would be contacted by someone to set up that appointment. Still nothing. It's disgusting you guys would treat your own patients that way. Suncoast does not care about your mental health.
