While we were in Quebec on vacation, we tried Baguette & Chocolat our first morning there. After that, this place was our first stop every single day. The gentleman at the register (who I believe was the owner) met us every morning with a smile, a friendly demeanor, and was helpful in assisting us to decide what we wanted. The rest of the staff were friendly as well. The crepes were fantastic and were very large portions. Honestly, my wife and I could have probably split every crepe we ate and been full, but we always wanted to try as many different things as we could. The "Western" crepe was one of my favorites. All of the coffee variations that we tried were bold, flavorful, and affordable. If you're looking for a daily stop to get great coffee, fresh and tasty crepes, baked goods, and a nice atmosphere in downtown Quebec, put Baguette & Chocolat on your list.

Awesome place to have breakfast with fresh and warm croissants and a cup of latte. We also had sweet and sour crepes which were both tasty. The staff was very friendly.

Great cafe in Vieux Quebec. Stop off to rest your tired feet and grab a delicious crepe. I had the Classic with ham, spinach, and mozzarella. The atmosphere was nice but a little sterile. It wouldn't keep me from going back however.

This is a place where you feel welcome immediately. The guys here are fabulous. The coffee and pastries very good. They have a small selection of sandwiches, salads, pastries – and serve ice cream and crêpes as well. So my next time here I’m going to try the crêpes! Stay tuned…

We had a wonderful experience! Delicious drinks and food - we especially loved the mochaccino, chocolatine, and crepe traditionelle. We sat by the window and the breeze coming through was very pleasant. The man at the register was very friendly, greeting and thanking guests. He was kind when I tried ordering in my horrible french, even though he can speak english. Gave me a boost of confidence in addition to a delicious brunch. Glad we stopped by!

Great coffee and pastries. Classic rock and Motown soundtrack playing in the background. Funky older shop with a great staff working the counter and food prep area. Friendly and casual vibe. It was very much to our liking!!!!

Best crossaint I've ever had!!! Only complaint was waiting in line for 20 or so minutes just for a pastry...I have no clue why the line (which was short) moved so slowly...We had originally wanted to get a crepe but they said it would take 20 minutes...having already waited 20-30 minutes, we decided that it was not worth spending any more time waiting for food as we were starving at the time!

This place was one of the highlights to our vacation. Danny, the person taking orders up front was one of the nicest people we met in Quebec City. Not only did he speak English well but he's fluent in Spanish also. The coffee, mocachino, hot coffee and the pastries are awesome. If I could only have eaten one thing in Quebec City, it would have been the almond croissants which were filled with a buttery, sugary, almond sauce that caused us to go there 2 of the 3 days in Quebec for breakfast and we took home 3 extras. Wow! Don't miss it. Best spot! And the crepes were out of this world too.

Really, really good crepes. Good coffee. I’m not an Illy coffee - brand fan, but this Latte was pure bliss. Highly recommended!

Fantastic bakery, went on the first morning of our Quebec City visit and loved it so much, we returned two more times! It was our favourite stop for delicious pastries, crepes and specialty coffees. On top of that, the service was exceptional, the gentleman at the cash was a dynamo, working hard to clear the line with a smile and switching from English to French with admirable ability. The pastries were airy and light with perfect taste and texture. The crepes were perfect and light with delicious fillings, sweet or savoury and the lattes/cappuccinos were fantastic! The Iced maple latte was a favourite! The sandwiches, including the capicola, the tuna and the croque monsieur, were fabulous, on delicious fresh bread/buns and priced affordably for a lunch takeaway, a bonus thing for busy days walking the city. Centrally located right by City Hall, this is a must go for all visitors! There are tables inside and also a few sidewalk tables.

Enjoyed breakfast and coffee at this cafe. We had traditional crepe, desert crepes and almond croissant. To me, the almond croissant was the best I had in Canada - blown away by the buttery surface and sweet almond paste. Crepes were decent as well.

A nice find amongst the cafe options in the area. Good strong coffee and absolutely well made crepes. Had the classic and wife the western. Also tried a couple of their pastries. The two gentlemen that served us were upbeat and it just adds to a more positive experience.

If you are in QC you have to try the Almond Croissant. Loved it. And the coffee is great as well. We ordered a vegan wrap and turkey bacon sandwich. Everything was delicious but the Almond Croissant was so good that we went again to get some more. 😆

This was a cute little coffee shop, the service was really good. We wanted the lunch special but they didn't have any vegetarian sandwichs so we ended up ordering crepe. The grilled veggies crepe was very good! The coffee was good as well. The green smoothie was a tad bit sour but its because they used all fresh ingredients and I enjoyed it.

The crapes here are exquisite. It’s made fresh and most the savory and the sweet ones are really good. The service is quick and the staff are friendly. Their coffee on the other hand is just good. I guess they can work on that.

Excellent crepes, decent coffee, lots of seating. Pastry selection is limited, but you really want the crepes. They have a choice of 3 savory and 3 sweet for roughly $13-15. It's big, so more of a quiet vibe inside.

We have to comment on the Capricola ham sandwiches. They were so amazing that we all ordered a second one. The handmade crepes were wonderful also. Our group of five enjoyed the ambiance, food, desserts, and drinks. The kids enjoyed their meal also! Well worth a stop in a cozzy bistro/café setting in Vieux Quebec. Bon Appetite!!

delicious crepes! sadly, the espresso machine was broken today (feb 5, 2024) and that was a big reason we came in. they make their hot chocolate with the espresso machine so that was also unavailable. 😢

A delicious place to grab the best that Old Quebec has to offer in a cafe! The Cappuccino and Latte were perfect. We had their Almond Croissant and Quebec Crepe. Boy oh boy was it tasty! Once we finished eating, we order more to take back to the hotel.

While in town for business I had strategic stops planned but this place just caught my attention and I did not regret it. It was busy but I was well served and the chicken sandwich and Nutella hot chocolate were absolutely délicieux!! Merci, gracias!!

Everything about this place was just phenomenal. I am glad to have experienced this place. The guy who took my order (I believe he was the owner/manager) was very friendly, I tried to order with my little knowledge in french and he was very nice about me trying. The chocolat chaud that I ordered was very creamy & rich = perfection! Also got some crepes which was also perfect! Location is also great, right at the heart of Old town Quebec. Ambiance is very welcoming, warm and I like the music. Staff is very very friendly and customer oriented. Definitely one of my favourite laid back cafes in Quebec, will be back for sure!

Omg! What an amazing place. Loved the coffee and my Nutella pancake. While most cafes are serving people in disposable dishes and cups I loved the fact that they are still serving everything in proper crockery. Servers were really pleasant to talk to as well. Would visit again whenever I am in Quebec city

I do not recommend this place! They serve you without masks and there is no soap in the washrooms. Very rude and unpleasant staff. I highly recommend avoiding this cafe if you can. Support local businesses that actually deserve it and don’t get mad when you ask for soap! Apparently you just need to sanitize! No hand washing necessary!!!

Crêpes were ok, nothing exciting There are better places if that is what you're looking for. Also had a waffle (which was the packaged kind unfortunately). I thought they were made fresh to order. Pictured here are the spinach/egg/cheese and banana/chocolate. *the chocolate sauce on the crepes was not good - tasted like Hershey's syrup. :( Just trying to provide an honest review if you're serious about eating good food, especially crêpes. Unfortunately I was mislead here with the previous 5 star reviews......

Popular location for breakfast. It gets really busy. Crepe traditionalle and crepe sirop d’erable (maple syrup) are really delicious! Nice seating area.
