This is the best restaurant ever! The food is amazing. We also enjoyed the explanation from the chefs. All the food is locally sourced. Chefs also make their own cheese and even the soy sauce. We also bought 30ish home made jars to bring back home and they all taste amazing.

How to begin other than with a WOW! And then how to pursue without threatening you to go at all costs! I couldn't even come close to sharing the pleasure that was experienced when eating there for the first time, aside falling short of what was a truly memorable culinary experience! My wife and I had been wanting to try L'empreinte for a while. It's big bay window giving on to King Street always attracts onlookers. Although for some reason, there never seems to be that many people, which after dining there is rather puzzling. We had made reservations for 1830 and when we arrived, the place was utterly vacant! Which is always somewhat wearying for a place serving food. We were greeted very well by Sophia, and permitted to choose any table we wanted, so we picked the Table des chefs, which made us feel like Queen and King from the get go! Having dietary restrictions, I was told to lay them out at reservation time, which I did. They remembered everything, and when presenting the dining concept and disclosing the menu, everything was laid out plain and simple with suggestions and alternatives. We were offered 4, 5, or 7 services. We settled for 4, but should have gone for 7! Simply because everything was so delicious! From the drinks to the mise en bouche, to the main dishes! Also, even the drinks were surprising, original, and inventive! There were many bottles of wine to choose from, but being light weight, we ordered a Martini and a microbrewery beer. There is no menu per se. The concept is highly intriguing, as it's a surprise what will be on your plate. You shall not be disappointed! Presentation is stunning and each course is brought and explained by the chef himself! A must if you're in Sherbrooke for a visit! Or one of those onlookers who haven't indulged yet in the sublime oral pleasure that is this gem on King Street!

We have traveled the world in search of the best food and especially love the serendipity of tasting menus. This meal was by far my favorite experience ever! We arrived early at L'empreinte to find the restaurant set up as an actual farmers market!! Locals were stopping in to by their groceries. We wandered off to come back as the farmer was packing up and the restaurant's real purpose was coming to life. Every bite of this over indulgent meal was ridiculously fantastic - thoughtfully prepared, beautifully presented, wonderfully narrated, and delicious beyond compare. We drove 5 hours to come here on a hope. I would travel many times as far to return. With a tasting menu which changes monthly, you be at the chef's most recent whim.... but that is exactly the point! While more expensive than a simple dinner, the price is shockingly reasonable given the craftsmanship of the dining experience. As a bonus, I am a hobby potter and all of the dishware was lovingly handmade locally as well. I look forward to sampling some of the jars of canned goods that we purchased as well... as we try to extend the glow of our experience in our own kitchen as we return home.

Hidden gem. My family and I randomly stumbled upon this restaurant on our way back from Quebec City and it ended up being the highlight of our entire trip. The ingredients were all high quality, locally sourced, and everything was home-made. The staff were very attentive and talked through each course during our 7-course prix fixe meal.

This was an ordinary Wednesday night, transformed into a culinary circus by this magical place ! The atmosphere is tasteful, delicate, without trying to compete for your attention.. The staff is lovable, quirky, knowledgeable and somehow, foodie nerds... thirsting for perfection. Went back for lunch before Christmas. The service was not very good, but the place was very busy. The menu was much less interesting than the first time and the mac and cheese was very bland.

Belgian restaurant for breakfast. The prices are a little high but the quality is high too. The place is always full for breakfast, be ready to wait. I like their special belgian waffles. These are pretty big plates but very good. they know how to make decent Egg benedicts which is not the case in many breakfast place.

Great food. There is not menu. Let them surprise you. All the servings are unique or at least prepared in a unique way.

From the moment we sat down the experience was extraordinary. From local delicacies to imported wine pairings every single mouthful was decadent. I sincerely appreciated the care taken with my food allergies. I would recommend this over and over again.

This place saved my date night. I had car trouble and it made me an hour late for the date. The staff were super kind keeping the martini's coming to her while keeping her company. These guys made that date night fantastic. Life saver! If ever you really screwed up, take your wife or girlfriend here. Order the full course meal and 1/2 accord. You will get service of an A++ level, delicious food that you could never make yourself or find anywhere else using purely 100% local Québécois ingredients, and wine pairings that you'll never forget. I'm addition, the staff are knowledgeable and passionate about what they do. Unforgettable. Thank you so much l'équipe L'Empreinte.

It’s my 7th visit and I am more impressed time after time. Russell and Michaële are two of the best hosts you will find. The 7 service meal is incredibly balanced. The wines that accompany every meal are the perfect pair completed by the sommelier Benoit .If you come to Sherbrooke this is place is a must. You will definitely not regret. Russell, Michaële and the food they serve make the experience the reason I keep coming back. Time after time

We had the pleasure of dining here Saturday evening and had the 7 course. It was FANTASTIC! We did the wine pairing with each course as well. All courses and wines, ciders etc were explained in detail with great conversation! Much, if not all, is locally sourced. The atmosphere is trendy and top notch but relaxed as well making it a truly memorable experience. Would recommend again and again! Bravo! Merci, Terra
