3 stars for this hotel - the location is good, right next to underground station and a few minutes walk from Nord train station, but on the other side the surroundings are not particularly nice (boarded up shops etc.). The room was also decent enough, clean, but nothing standout. On the downside: 3 lifts (4, but one was broken) for 20 something floors? Even with all 4 lifts working woefully lacking in capacity as the lifts are tiny - this means allowing at least 10 minutes to get on a lift in the morning; a no go for business users on a schedule. The other negative is the gym/fitness. Some genius thought it would be a great idea have the gym on the top floor next to guest rooms; as a result it doesn't open until 07:00 (really). I was there at 06:55 and only just managed to grab one of only 2 (!) treadmills. The tiny gym (2 treadmills, 1 bike, 1 elliptical, 2 weight machines, barbells) was packed by 07:05. If you are remotely health conscious and want to use the gym before heading out to meetings in the morning forget it. Hotel management should've used COVID downtime to relocate the gym to the basement and have it open 24h. Also, as an aside, if you have the misfortune to have a room on the 29th floor no need for a wake-up call - gym users will surely wake you up at exactly 07:00. Didn't eat breakfast, cannot comment on quality here.

Very clean and efficient business hotel. Many reviews complain about room size but they were fine for Europe. Great location for business and just a stop or two by train from the airport. Only complaints are the breakfast is crazy expensive for what it is and the elevators can be maddening since they are very small and it's a busy place. Expect to wait for a couple elevators in the morning to finally be and to get on one.

The building is a little old and it shows. The windows offer no sound proofing and you hear all of the street noises even 14 floors up. The rooms are also a little dark. On the positive side, the staff is excellent. I had an AC issue and the manager Christophe was fantastically helpful. The location is also great- walking distance to Nord station and the metro station is in front of the hotel.

Some rooms are small and narrow, I was surprised that mine was one of the bigger ones. The view is not great , you are overlooked by all the offices and other buildings. Otherwise the rooms appear to be clean and well maintained. I did ask for a change of room but the receptionist said there were no free rooms and all rooms were allocated. Location is relatively Central. Breakfast is good.

Had a wonderful stay here, it was a pity it was only for 1 night. Very clean and neat rooms, and comfortable bed. The breakfast buffet was amazing, they really had everything and more. (Good coffee too!) Location was perfect as my office was a couple of mins away. The staff were mixed though. I had a very enthusiastic and welcoming receptionist, but the other staff were a bit distant and abrupt.

Great hotel - not expensive, even with breakfast included. Lots of breakfast options - English/American, fish/Nordic, fresh bread, cheese/carcuterie/Iberian. Plenty of fresh fruit and fruit juice and of course coffee. Concierge staff was great (for a taxi and wake up call). I love the option not to have housekeeping every day. The sauna is great, and has a great view of the sunset. And it is free too. The workout room is small but I didn't see anyone in it while I was there do the size shouldn't be a problem. It's a 15 min walk from Gran Place, and very close to transit. I recommend the train to and from the airport as a taxi is around 50 euro, and they're both about 25 minutes. It's clean and has good amenities. It's not a luxury hotel, which is fine because I don't want to pay luxury prices!

The hotel is just awesome! If you need to stay somewhere in Brussels, this one will exceed your expectations! And here is why: 1. The room is neat and the bed is comfy. The hotel itself looks very nice. 2. The view out of the room is great. 3. You can have even better view out of the sauna. 4. There's a free gym guests can visit 5. There's the whole game area, where we had a wonderful time playing a Norwegian game called Shuffleboard. 6. You can also grab some fruit for free. 7. It's located 10 minutes away from the bus station and very close to the city center. 8. There's a shop next to it, and you can use a microwave to heat up your food. There was only one problem with the room. There's not enough space between the table and the bed for my suitcase to fit. It was a bit tricky to put it closer to the window, not to block my way out of the room. Still 5 out of 5, I would definitely go to this hotel again.

Room: The double room I initially booked has been quite a surprise – and not in a positive way. It's remarkably small, which could pose discomfort for anyone who values space. If you have even a hint of claustrophobia, this might not be the best choice. The lack of room to move around has been frustrating, to say the least. Adding to this, the room on the 15th floor has been far from peaceful due to the noticeable noise. It's as if the walls are made of paper, given how easily sounds from both the corridors and outside penetrate the room. Unless you're a champion of sleep, I'd strongly advise against booking these rooms. Breakfast: The breakfast selection initially caught my eye with its variety, but there's been a rather unwelcome addition to the dining experience – mosquitoes. It's been a challenge to ignore these bothersome insects hovering around the food area. It seems that maintaining proper hygiene has been overlooked in this regard. Facilities: A notable disappointment has been the absence of a swimming pool, a basic amenity that many travellers value. In its place, the provided alternatives such as a pool table and other games downstairs have offered a bit of compensation. As for the sauna and gym, they're functional, but they don't particularly stand out. Location: The saving grace for this hotel seems to be its location. Positioned at the far end of the city centre, it's a relatively short and manageable 15-minute walk to reach the heart of the action. This convenience certainly eases the overall experience.

Our room was clean and good looking. Definitely worth every penny. Staff was nice and service where great. Location is the best here, and you have easy accessibility to pretty much everything.

The worst hotel experience in my life. My reservation was through the travel agency of my employer (university), the room was booked for 2 nights. I arrived to the hotel at around 20:00, presented my booking details and the reservation number and then was told that there was no booking on my name, nor my employer's name, they could not find the reservation number, etc. I was asked to provide a document in order to verify that my name and surname match my reservation sheet, I was also told that "anyone could print your reservation sheet but your reservation does not exist in our system". The discussions went on for around 1 h, I asked to call the manager or their reservation department - it was not done. I was also told "you obviously came here to meet someone so just contact those people - they will help you". Well, I came alone to Brussels to participate in the training, where I did not no any person, and the training was going to start the next day only. So, calling someone was not my option. The situation was "solved" by the reception booking a new room for me, and I had to pay myself 390 euro for one night stay. No breakfast included, the room was cold and small on the 13th floor, the door and the walls are not very well isolated - there were sounds form around all the time. The bathroom - outdated, old tiles with holes. The next morning my travel agency contacted the hotel, and apparently the hotel found my reservation and told to my agency that I was going to be reimbursed for the 1st night. I received this info via the email. When I came back to the hotel, the reception did not know anything about my reservation nor the reimbursement, I was asked who told me, what was the name of the person who told about the reimbursement, etc. But I was told that I have a reservation for the second night - they found it. On the last day when I was checking out, the reception again did not know anything about the reimbursement, again got questions who told me, why, what was the persons name, etc etc. I finally got to meet the manager - he confirmed he knew the case and that I would receive the payment back. No timeline when. No any written confirmation about it. I did not receive any breakfast even if both nights costed 800 euro in total. The agency said they booked the breakfast, hotel said - the breakfast was not included. Till now I have not received my payment back, no apologies, nor any acknowledgement about this misunderstanding. The hotel keeps blaming the agency, but the agency says they had everything in order. It raises question though - if there was no initial booking, so why I will be reimbursed?? I do not recommend this hotel, nor services to anyone. An update 19/10/2023: as the hotel manager did not take my credit card detail upon my check out, I was contacted by the receptionist on 13/10/2023 and was asked to email them my credit card number and the expiration date. I provided my details on a phone (!!!). I have not received my payment so far, but the hotel keep telling the payment was done.

Nice hotel and very close to the trains. Great staff who are willing to assist always. The only downside was the bathrooms were pretty small and the hair dryer not the best whatsoever. The room was upgraded to premium room as well which was a great bonus.

A good Hotel, which does what it has to do. Everything clean, big rooms, and okay value for money. However the breakfast is really expensive for what it is. It’s not bad and has a great variety to offer, but for 36€ euros you can get much better breakfasts somewhere else. Plus point is the parking garage with plenty of charging points for electric vehicles. Parking is not included.

Avoid at all costs. The front reception staff are extremely rude and have a really bad attitude for a bunch of people who have no qualifications I think they just don't know any better. The rooms are tiny, it is an office block surrounded by big city buildings with all the city noise - I even tried to change rooms yet you can still here the city traffic and construction noise on all sides. There is also an ongoing construction project right next door that looks like it will take years to complete - everyday I woke up to hammering and construction noise for the whole day and got 0 peace at all. This hotel it way too overpriced for what you get - avoid at all costs.

Pros: comfy bed and pillows. clean. Cons: 1. The room had a dank, musty smell, likely due to poor ventilation. 2. The lobby is in the basement. not great for weary travelers who are tired of taking stairs. 3. breakfast was not included and the additional rate was quite high. 4. People who are traveling as couple will find it a bit too small. 5. All store around it are closed on Sundays.

For a business travelling, the hotel is very well located. Very easy reach from Gare du Midi by metro. Room are big, quiet and comfortable. There is variable lighting in the room that is not completely clear at first touch (holding the switch varies the light). There's a good space to work.

Great location! Also the guy in the reception was very kind and helpful and the cleaning lady also... and that's it! The hotel, which is very expensive with no reason, definitely needs renovation, especially the rooms inside have broken things. This was the smallest room I have ever been in (the bathroom was normal though), you have to wait the other person if you want both to cross between the bed and the desk and even the one person can barely go through! If you are a bit overweight you have to think it again or you will have to climb the bed every time you want to leave the room! We didn't try the breakfast because it was too expensive. Three stars for the location.

Very impressed with this hotel. Great value stay, with a well-equipped, spacious room. The only minor downside was a loose electrical socket in the room, which wasn’t great. That aside, I’d still certainly consider it for a future visit.

overall a good hotel, the best part was the free sauna for the guests. Unfortunately the reception area is not the best, it's positioned at lower level and it's so 80s. plus in the time we were there they were changing the floor! so lots of noise and dirt around. one note, they do not have bike to be rented

Great location (you can walk to the metro and the train station), amazing breakfast buffet, confortable beds and quiet room. Very nice and friendly personnel and interesting green initiatives. Will be coming back for sure if I have to go to Brussels again!

Not worth it. I stayed 3 nights for a conference. The breakfast is pretty nice the walls are thin- I heard every sneeze and tinkle from neighbors, doors opening and closing even the elevator at the end of the hall The rooms are hot, even with ac on high. I didn’t sleep much. With a couple of wonderful exceptions the staff had the friendliness of a moms for liberty convention at a school book sale. The overall sense was being irritated and bothered. The gym was ok, I didn’t get a full workout in and could have just gotten a pass at a local club. I see reviews saying the rooms were reasonable, I think overall it would have been worth to pay more to sleep, work out and feel welcomed- none of which I did.

Nice hotel with a great central location. Breakfast was great, room was clean and staff was friendly. No problems with noise despite being located downtown.

Massive hotel, right in the center of Brussels. Rooms were good. Not too small, not too big. A bit warm on the inside, even though the outside temperature wasn't that high (17°C) and I had the AC on lowest setting. That temperature was consistent through the entire building. Beds were a bit jumpy, but good enough for the single night I stayed at the hotel. TV was very slow/unresponsive. Breakfast was good. When checking in, I wasn't told on which floor my room was, so I had to figure that out for myself. It was quite logical though. Parking is conveniently located directly underneath the hotel, but is public and paid (€18,- per day).

The rooms were very small. There was no space to even walk. Had to jump over the bed or shuffle across. Has a nice common space with a bar and games. It's in a good location, close to many attractions.

We booked a couple of nights at Thon Hotel EU after a bad check-in experience with an apartment from Smartflats booked through Expedia. They took us in the same day, gave us a room with a terrace, and were a pleasure to deal with. The shower was outstanding, and the beds were super comfy. Their breakfast buffet is top notch. They are eco friendly and grow their own herbs in their terrace. They have drinks and snacks for purchase in the lobby. The staff was always friendly and very accommodating for our family with kids.

Visited in April 2023 - LOVE THIS HOTEL. From room size/amenities to location (2 min walk to metro) to the KING style breakfast buffet. Absolutely amazing stay.

We had a fantastic experience in Thon Hotel. The check-in and check-out process was very smooth. The staff was very polite and helpful. The room was very clean and tidy. The comfort of the bed was from the highest I have tried. The location of the hotel is extremely good. So, i would highly recommend it.

We stayed with them in Dec’19 and the best part of this hotel is their location. Rooms are small and need upgrade and maintenance, it’s hilarious but it took us a while to comprehend that a flush can make such a loud noise, it can be heard from the entire floor... they need to work on their late night menu as well, it had a good bar setting and overall a okay experience.

Great Hotel, right in the City Centre with amazing staff. They were always wery friendly, smiling and and in a great mood, thank you for the relaxing accommodation. In the picture you see the breakfast, I think I don't need to say more, one of the best breakfasts I've ever had 🥰. Thank you very much 😍

Strange experience with this one. Overall not a bad hotel but it is more towards 3 stars then 4. Bed and pillows were OK, room rather small, bathroom good size. The so called.fitness is rather small too. The entrance of the hotel is on a busy street and it's severely littered.

I spend 3 wonderful nights in this Hotel. The view of the room in the 28 th floor is fantastic. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The location near to the City is excellente and the stuff does everything to let you feel like home. The breakfast was great, thanks to the kind man who served it. I felt very welcome and can highly recommend this nice place. I will come back.

Plus: the hotel is located right in the centre of the city, a mere 10 minutes walk from the Grand Place. The room had a coffee/tea maker, and the bathroom had basic toiletries (soap, shampoo, shower gel) and towels. There's is a bike storage, but not sure how secure that is. The lifts are fast, but rather small. There is a small fridge in the room, with bottled water in it which us included in the price, which is always a nice touch. There was also a shoe polishing kit and a sewing kit in the room, and a secure safety box. Minuses: upon checking-in, we were asked for an additional deposit, which was very surprising as none of the emails we received about our reservation mentioned anything like this, I also checked the hotel's website and did not find anything about it (our friends checked in separately and were not asked about anything like that). The parking is paid extra, €18 for 24hours, so perhaps reconsider if you're on a budget. The room itself was absolutely TINY - to the point where, to get to the other side of the bed, you either had to be anorexic or roll over the bed, because the space left between it and the wall was about 10cm. I am not sure, but I think there is no way of keeping some of the lights on without having the main light on as well, so if your partner wants to sleep and you want to stay up, there's no way but either both stay in complete darkness or both stay in full light. But perhaps I'm just stupid and could not locate the main light switch that would allow me to only keep bedside lamp on.

Nice stay, simple room, maybe the view could have been better but I guess it was quite affordable so we can’t have it all. Close to the station (maybe an 8 minute walk?) and overall clean and comfy. Would recommend for a small stay

Good hotel with a good view to the city (depending on which floor you stay, I was in the 20th). Very good breakfast, see photos. A bit expensive but probably not unusual for the location. Big shopping street and old city centre just around the corner in walking distance. Good location to explore Brussels.

The customer service, in this hotel, is very good staff has a lot of local knowledge of the area. Recommendation on request regarding the place and things to do. You can either pay on arrival or before all major credit cards are accepted.

  • 5/5 Rovik R. 1 year ago on Google
Stayed here for TomorrowLand and was quite satisfied with the hotel. Their lifts are really weird to use, but besides that, the hotel had all you need for a simple stay. Their breakfasts are really done well!

  • 1/5 Anca G. 1 year ago on Google
A lot of noise from neighbouring rooms due to poor sound isolation, till early morning hour. Strong cigarette smell in the room due to air conditioning. Ridiculous given the price category of this hotel - just avoid!

  • 4/5 Michael C. 1 year ago on Google
Located near the north train station, Thon Hotel Brussels City Center is a modern property that puts you steps from the main shopping area. The room was tidy and came with coffee/espresso and complimentary bottles of water. There were also blackout drapes, air conditioning and an in-room safe. Unfortunately, we didn't get to try the bar, restaurant, fitness center or sauna as we only stayed one night. Also, the surrounding area can be a bit dodgy at night, but we didn't encounter any issues. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay.

  • 3/5 Tibet S. 1 year ago on Google
We stayed (8 rooms) 2 night here. First night the rooms were freezing cold. We complained abouts the issue and next day all rooms were heated. I feel that they try to save some costs via these kind of tricks. Also some elevators were not working. Location is good though.

  • 4/5 Osman A. 1 year ago on Google
It's in a terrific location. Walking distance from Brussels North station. 1-2 minutes away from all train lines. Some rooms are small and furniture is a bit old. The breakfast is good and lots of variety. Employees are very friendly.

We had a very nice 3 nights stay - we will be back at this Thon Hotel again! The beds are super comfortable (hotel beds are usually too soft for me), view is great even from the 12 floor out of 25 floors. Reception staff is very nice and helpful, rooms are surprisingly quiet. Great value for money!
