A recommendation from a friend in Kanata brought us to Neat, and are we glad that we followed their recommendation. The interior is a wonderland of mixes, from the chalkboard menus (the artist who does this has better printing than many teachers I've seen) to the melange of tables and chairs. The pizza menu boasts outstanding flavour combinations, and the chef (for she should be one) never failed to deliver on the flavour and the spice. Our servers were very pleasant and knowledgeable about the food and drink. Printed signs highlight the guest performers that come to play in a separate room off the dining room. The joint obviously rocks solid and hard, as you have a large box of E-A-R plugs on the bar for those that like the ambiance but not the sound. This is one place to keep coming back.

Great spot to check out! Ticket purchase was a breeze and communication with the ower beforehand was efficient and personally handled. Food was delicious, great service and amazing line up of live music coming their way for their Live Sessions series! So great to see a venue you like this grow under good leadership and entrepreneurial skills! Covid protocols in place.

What a cool venue and great line-up of talent! Wish we found it sooner as there's so many sold-out concerts we would love to have seen! Had dinner before the show and food was delicious and fresh. Service was good.

Cute café with great outdoor seating options and a variety of Vegan/Vegetarian menu items. We had the veg pizza and broschute board. Both were amazing and full of flavors. The cocktails deserve a special mention too. Staff was friendly and service fast(we were there on a sunday noon with may ~40% occupancy)

Great little hidden gem I’ve been at, great food and the entertainment was out of this world for such a small venue, definitely coming back!

I don't particularly like to review places I love because then you're all going to go there, but this is an "Ottawa Valley Gem" that exceptional artists and their fans have recognized time and again as a music destination. Neat is an intimate, no-bad-seat venue with great food and local beers and just top tier talent. If I was a musician, playing here would be bucket list material. Sharing the stage with some absolute greats and hidden gems. I don't know how they're so deeply connected, but the acts that play here and the shows they put on are just stratospheric.

One of thee best venues to see a concert. These photos were Gordon and Sandy of the Spoons strumming away in an amazing performance. ....oh and the pizza and food is great too!

Cute little place adjacent to the Blackbird Cafe. They have a lovely seating area as well some inside spots. Weather was cooperative so we ordered a 'to go' one Americano and 2 cookies. While the items were tasty I was a little taken aback with the cost...over 10$ I get that all restaurants have taken a hit with covid and I am a big supporter of supporting local, but the consumer is also suffering with all these price increases. Anyway, just feeling the affects of a trip to the valley with gas prices and food prices way up. It is a lovely spot to grab a cup of java and they have other menu items as well but prepare yourself for the prices.

Always appreciate Neat Cafe. It is close to where we live and has been one our "go to" places for a while now. Haven't been to a live show in over a year however looking forward to seeing Big Sugar with my other brother Kevin in June. Highly recommended.

We stop at Neat every time we head home from our cottage. The coffee is great, food is awesome and the service is always with a smile. Great live music shows too. We've seen Gordie Johnson here twice. Both amazing shows. Just love this place. ❤️

Chef happily made me a breakfast wrap way past breakfast time. Staff is extremely nice, and coffee was some of the best I've had. Cozy place, highly recommended.

Quaint little venue. Good food and decent drinks. I really love the shows they put on. If I were them I would start a pub and call it Tidy. But that's just me.

Amazing venue to see great bands, was there when Big sugar was playing, its a warm back yard feeling, there known for there pizza, FYI going on a day when a band is play come early and order it took almost 2hrs for our food to come, but the service was amazing and the food was great,

Loved Neat Cafe! We had a smoked meat sandwich and a John Lennon pizza, both were really tasty. The side of wedges were a bit cold. Lots to choose from beers, coffee, tea, or fresh lemonade. Pick your spot to enjoy your bite, sitting outside on the patio or in the little garden. I am certainly coming back here!

Decent place with decent food. A few vegan and vegetarian options if you want them. Wheelchair accessible. Potato wedges were undercooked but burnt on the edges. Pizza was good and service was excellent.

Atmosphere is great. Saw a show which was fantastic. But had dinner- pizza, and a bottle of wine. Our server was not great :(. Glasses were dirty. Mentioned it and she brought another that was greasy. Kinda ruined the meal. Would go back for coffee but not a meal.

Very interesting coffee shop/ restaurant/bar/music venue in the small and very pretty village of Burnstown. Not come across many places like this anywhere really worth a visit because of its uniqueness alone. Coffee was great and surprisingly big and my son had a chocolate cookie which was delicious. Didn't have anything else but pizzas looked excellent - would be a lovely place to sit outside and relax with a pizza and pint for the afternoon if I was there without my very active 2 year old - it's a lovely setting I must say. Service was pretty friendly and efficient and prices seemed reasonable.

The Neat cafe is a great venue for live music, they attract good musicians and have a diverse line up of shows. I highly recommend going for the wood fired pizza and a show. It's worth the drive to Burnstown.

Best place ever to see a live band period. Good food and fantastic staff. Hidden gem. Thanks Mark, best music experiences I have had are at Neat.

Delicious food and beverage option in Burnstown, ON. I've never been, but also look forward to checking out their intimate live music venue one day as well. Accommodation is available for those visiting from out of town as well. Great little spot "off the beaten path" within an hour's travel from Ottawa.

Very nice place with friendly staff! We come here for great pizzas made in wooden stove and beer. Dogs-friendly :) Conveniently located to relax after going to Calabogie trails.

Long day hiking finished with excellent mushroom soup and oven fired wedge fries with pesto aioli. Extensive food and drink menu that I would definitely return to try. Worth the drive to spend a beautiful autumn day on the patio.

Great lunch after a night of camping. I had the smoked meat sandwich, came with soup and a salad. My boyfriend got the Reuben sandwich with the same sides, and we ordered a side order of wedge fries. I don't know if we were lacking calories from camping, but we both agreed that this is the best restaurant meal we've had in a long time! There was not one thing wrong. The wedge fries came with a beautiful aioli and were spiced nicely, not something I've ever tried before. For me, the smoked meat sandwich was delightful, just the right amount of sauce and ratio of meat to other ingredients. The corn soup was perfect, and this simple little salad went a long way. Top that off with a nice IPA and we were happy campers!! Finally, we sat in their live music room which was fun (despite there being no music) and looked at all the past performers tapered to the walls around us. We are looking forward to coming back and hopefully get a chance to see some live music as we munch this time!

The pizza at Neat cafe was fantastic! We sat out in the garden, and had the Jack White, the John Lennon and the Weird Al pizzas. They were all gone in a matter of minutes! I strongly recommend the Weird Al. Pear, Brie and pesto made a great combination!

What a “neat” place. The staff are super friendly and our coffees and cookies were delicious. We hope to come back some day (we are from far away) and see a live music show. If you’re looking for something to do near Calabogie, check out this venue’s upcoming live music shows! The food coming from the kitchen also smelled amazing.

This is indeed a neat coffee shop and our go to place for breakfast when we are in the region. Great coffee and fresh baked goods far better than any chain. Very friendly staff, always seem to have a smile. Outdoor seating with chairs, tables and umbrellas. We had lunch a couple of times and it too was delicious. We have never been there for the entertainment but we have heard great things. We will have to improve our timing. For motorcyclists...gravel driveway and parking area but had never been a problem. We recommend.

Waited for a host to seat us as the singed told us to. My partner and I stood for 10 minutes with multiple staff walking by and not acknowledging us. Eventually a staff member told us we could sit anywhere. We sat and waited another 10-15 minutes without so much as a menu. We had to leave never even getting to try the food. Super disappointed. :(

So great! This gem has been on my bucket list for years and I'm so happy my girlfriends and I went out there for a hike and birthday lunch! Super yummy food, friendly and beautiful staff, delicious coffees, overall thrilled! 🥰

This is a ...... neat place (pun intended). :) Stop for lunch or for dinner or just for a pint. There is live music on certain days. We've tried their pizza several times and it is terrific. Make it a stop on your way through Burnstown on your way to this beautiful part of eastern Ontario. You won't be disappointed.

I didn't eat here but was blown away at how awesome of a cute, unassuming musical venue this was. A hidden gem with an incredible line-up of regular musical gigs. The outdoor show was perfect... check them out!

Neat is a little gem in the very picturesque town of Burnstown. Delicious pizzas made in a wood burning pizza oven and great salads. Cocktails are good too. But best of all are the live music shows. During the pandemic, Neat has pivoted to outdoor shows and they are wonderful. We saw the Sheepdogs two weeks ago and it is just awesome to see these bands in such an intimate setting. My only advice is to bring bug spray because for that half hour around dusk the mosquitoes can be a little bothersome.

Local here, so nice to have this cafe nearby. Always love the Ziggy star dust and weird al pizza, coffee is good. Great spot to bike to, stop at after a paddle or have a night out. Worth the drive to check out. There’s also 2 other super cafes close by so you can make a little cafe road trip out of it, if you love coffee/tea and want to support our local businesses (please do!!)

Truly an excellent venue for dinner and a show! Free covid it was neat and cozy and everything was inside ... Near the end of covid the restaurant has adapted beautifully to have indoor meals but outdoor performances so everyone stays safe! Well worth the trip to Burns town from Ottawa! Keep up the great work the excellent food and the fantastic roster of artists that you bring in thank you!
