Märklineum: The Märklin Museum and Bistro are Closed undergoing reconstruction until approx September 2019, when it should be open for the 2019 Göppingen model expo. The Gift/Model Shop, Technical Centre and the Fund Grube are open and very well stocked with all the current stock as well as the Complementary display Items from all the leading Brands There are items in the Fund Grube that ard at a reduced price, either below quality for shipping or extra items like loads for wagons or special items. The Buildings are fully accessible with a very wide stepless entrance. It's very well laid out with good space between the display cases, there are toilets and lockers behind the Technical Desk. There is a wooden train-set to try and keep the littlest ones distracted while you look through the Book shelves.

It was a good place for train n miniature lovers!! I was quite excited to have a close look into the large miniature (working model expo), but that is still under construction and we could not enter in there. That was a much disappointing part. With that I felt 10€ entry fee to the museum(only the history and the models displayed inside locked glass shelves) was not so worthy. You can see the small miniature in the store without paying any entry fee.

The new building is beautiful and very modern. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, even if their English is not great (about as good as my German). The trains are amazing in their detail and beauty. There are not just trains for sale, but all the things you may need to make a miniature town: people, buildings, foliage, animals, and supplies to assemble it all! They sell all the different sizes of trains that Märklin makes, and you can spend quite a lot of time (not to mention money!) here!

A piece of German history in the train model segment. You can see how the company evolved during the time and how they position where they are today. If you like models you will really enjoy it

If you are into train models then this is the place to visit! It was a eyeopener for me as I never new a small model could cost 3-4000 EUR!! A 20cm electric rail track 180 EUR! This is definitely not a hobby for kids but kidults!! 😁 who can spend cash on their hobby.

The bistro was closed Google maps got us out to the wrong side of the town at a KFC The layout felt built up in no time missing interior lightning in coaches to not being so detailed and fun like miniature wunderland. Also staff didn't seem to understand much English

Great store. The museum is a little small and I wished they would show insights into production. Worthwhile to go there if you are nearby

Visited the Marklineum during the IMA. Although it was a very busy day there was no line and the route in the museum during that days was perfect. A must see for every Marklin-fan.

This place is awesome! If you like model trains and especially a fan of märklin then this place is a must. The historical review is impressive. The full size ho layout is super fun to watch. Could spend hours here. Of course then could spend lots of money of 'souvenirs' (read model trains). The 10 euros is well worth the entry to the museum. Sssooooo much fun!!

Great place for kids and adults to see some history of model Railway of Märklin. Tons of model trains from all ages and watch the process of making trains by human hand.

Awesome place! There is an outside exhibition of train(s) and train models, and museum is great if you are a Märklin. You can also buy tickets online in advance, or as a voucher to your friends. Train models of different sizes are on sale in the museum.

Amazing! The whole history of the company, from the beginning to recent days presented in such an excelent way! The whole "train world" in basement, and another one in front of museum are above all expectations. Huge amount of love, knowledge and work was necessary to present all of this to the visitors. I'm not a train models enthusiast, but I realy appreciate all the effort you invest every day, and want to express my gratitude for your existence.

I went with toddlers. I definitely recommend here as both sunny and rainy day activity. There are plenty things to entertain toddlers in the facility especially stamp rally and diorama. We spent 4 hrs including lunch at bistro. Food in bistro is just general German food. Fine for price.
