Very interesting authentic medieval castle. Ancient rooms, weapons, knightly armor, minstrel music - I am very satisfied with visiting the castle. Tickets must be purchased at the gift shop nearby. By the way, for those who come from the countries of the former USSR and know Russian, they give a booklet in Russian. Pretty handy stuff. I recommend visiting the castle. It offers a gorgeous view of Lake Constance and the Alps.

A very authentic and well-preserved castle. It is quite an interesting experience since other castles with such preservation are sizable buildings, the Meersburg castle will give a great overview of all aspects of life in its day, in a more compact area.

This is one of the best locations in Germany to have a castle. The views are as good as it gets. The castle is good for families, since there isn't anything to read, you just walk through. With all the displays and artifacts, you get a good idea what life was like here. I especially loved all the weapons and furs.

this is Germany's oldest continuously inhabited castle and absolutely worth seeing, not only for the old artifacts and great rooms (including a creepy dungeon) but also for its fantastic views of the lake and the alps. Make sure to also visit the cafe, its a real secret tip!

Nice location to relax. The view is very calming and you could even see a bit of the snow clad Alps. There are plenty of benches to sit, and the castle tour was okayish. Ps: very nice ice cream shops near this place.

It was very good place to visit, we can take a boat ride to the city with a full crowd of people filled with food street's, vine yards, museums and a fort. Ofcourse you need to pay to visit all these. It was good going there and experiencing a boat ride.

Lovely medieval castle with beautiful views of the lake. You can buy tickets from the shop right outside the castle. One of the important places to visit when in Meersburg.

Sehr interessant. Auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert. Waren auch im Café auf dem Balkon. Tolle Aussicht.

We loved touring this castle! Great for adults and kids. We had a lot of fun seeing the furnishings and rooms as they were from history.

I would recommend visiting the castle. You can visit over 30 rooms and also enjoy a beautiful view. From the knight at the entrance to the musician who sings and plays beautiful old song, the experience is authentic.

A quick and a cheap way of time travel😄 to the medieval times. You pay 2 euros in the entrance and while leaving the castle you get the money back. I do not understand the rationale behind it, though.

Excellent castle which is the oldest private owned castle in Germany. It offers plenty of things to see inside and outside. Every month or so they revive the medieval lifestyle with the performances and exhibitions. The castle owner is very polite and down-to-earth person. The castle has a nice restaurant/cafe inside.

Great castle, enjoyed an hour or two wandering round. Castle had lots of unique features I haven't seen before, and in a beautiful location in the lovely Meersburg. Information leaflet in English useful to give some extra context.

Gorgeous city with enchanting lake view , we climbed up the town to reach Burg Meersburg and then came down with delicious ice creams to lake side... They have cruise rides, dining by the lake, walk by the lake... amazing view...lots n lots of restaurants by the lake... it's connected to Friedrich-Hafen via bus and trains..must visit

The characteristic old castle is like going back in time. During the period, you can look out and take pictures of the beautiful scenery from the open windows. The important thing is that there are restaurant, souvenir shop and toilet inside the castle. Worth a try.

Lovely castle. Really well preserved. It was nice visiting it with friends and family. I would definitely recommend to visit it when you visit Meersburg. I would recommend to buy the ticket along with ferry ticket if you're coming from konstance. It ought to be cheaper this way.

Very nice town with old fortification or Burg. Bit on the expensive side as it is popular tourist attraction. Nice place for a walk, quick coffee or romantic dinner on the coast when the weather is nice.

The Town is small but full of interesting things!! Nice history, buildings and the relation with the lake is enormous! It's easy to walk up and down to the lake and make beautiful pictures of the castle and the lake
