I recently had a tear trough filler procedure here which did not meet my expectations. Previously, I had this treatment done successfully elsewhere, but this time, the results were quite different. The procedure led to immediate and intense swelling, followed by extreme water retention. Although the swelling reduced somewhat after following the aftercare advice, the final result was still unsatisfactory, with my under-eye area appearing worse than before. I reached out to Samantha, expressing my concerns and the urgent need to have the filler dissolved due to the unsatisfactory results. However, my requests for a response and urgent care were not met, which left me with no choice but to seek help from a specialist. This lack of response and care necessitated an additional visit to a medical professional, incurring extra costs on my end. I understand that not every cosmetic procedure has guaranteed results, but I feel it’s important to share my experience for others considering this treatment. It’s a reminder of the importance of choosing a provider carefully and perhaps opting for a more experienced professional, especially for delicate areas like under-eye filler. The end result has been me having to spend 3x the original amount to get the results I was looking for from her. I reached out to Samantha with a request for a refund or compensation, she denied this request. I hope this feedback is taken constructively, as my intention is to share my personal experience rather than to discredit anyone’s professional capabilities.

I booked in for a treatment with Samantha Dunning at the luxury Lush Academy. I spoke to Samantha via an online chat and made it clear when I was looking for the treatment to happen, as I wanted a specific date to fit around my work commitments, Samantha suggested that I book in with herself and then took full payment for the treatment. On the day of the treatment (after travelling 2 hours to get there) Samantha then informs me it's a consultation only and the treatment would need to be completed on another day. I was completely dumbfounded after changing my work around this appointment and after being clearly misled by her. When questioned Samantha became argumentative and defensive. I walked away so upset but then returned to the shop 5 minutes later to request a full refund only to find Samantha had already left the premises. I was informed by the remaining staff at the luxury Lush Academy that Samantha had booked a last minute break away that weekend and I was her final appointment of the day... then it made sense. I requested a full refund which was agreed by Samantha in writing but it took constant reminding and weeks and weeks before it was finally issued and then Samantha decided to keep some money back for herself, because, why not, she can! No explanation as to why apart from now which is "for her time and consultation" which is a joke considering I spent 2 minutes in her company, no consultation took place and is completely unethical considering we are all in such difficult times financially. This was a breach of contract as Samantha agreed in writing I would receive a full refund, which I will now be pursue through the small claims court as luckily I kept the evidence from her in writing. Professional companies offer free consultations and then after the initial consultation, once the treatment has been agreed that it would be correct for the client, the payment is then taken. They do not take a payment up front in full and then have a consultation. This is not the first time Samantha has acted in this unprofessional way as you can see from previous reviews from other customers. Trading standards were informed. Please be aware before booking with this company and Samantha. Previous reviews speak for themselves. Do not fall foul like myself and other customers have..

Poor experience. This isn't a salon, just a house on a housing estate. Poor communication re address (it's not in the shopping centre as per website). Very poor customer service, no empathy and Sam refused to see me as I was 10 minutes late due to the incorrect address. Did not attempt to squeeze me in even though only a 2 minute treatment and my booking confirmation was for an hour, so should have had plenty of time. Will also not provide a refund. Disappointing and do not recommend. Zero stars if it would allow.

I have had Treatments done in the past with Sam, she is so lovely and always talks you through everything.. makes sure your comfortable and that you know exactly what will be achieved from your procedure. I have also been a model in the past for students and again have been made to feel welcome, and at ease! I would highly recommend Sam and i wouldn’t go anywhere else!. xx

Had 3 appointments with Sam over the last few months and I’m amazed with the outcome :) She points you in the right direction for the treatments she thinks you will need to avoid costs that arnt needed. Prices are very reasonable. I would highly recommend using Luxury Lash Academy x

Had a couple of treatments now from Sam and lash extensions from a student, fab service always polite and welcoming. Sam always makes you feel at ease by talking through procedures and making sure your happy with results.

Offered to give an excellent standard of procedure however failed to inform of the issues and where would take place. Unsatisfactory and would not recommend.
