Would not recommend this place. We ordered from here and the first time we did not receive all of our order, we rang and complained but the rude staff would not agree to send out missing order. Finally after long discussion and threat of complain to Trading Standards they finally accepted their mistake and sent it it again and still got the order wrong. Currys were the worst we have ever had and everyone had food poisoning and stomach ache from this place. I will never order from here again.

Rubbish food, extremely dissappointed! This place is over rated, poor quality and highly priced. Nothing was fresh, lamb was the worst, hard and chewy, it wouldnt go past my throat without a drink. Chicken tikka tasted like it had been heated over and over again. Food was drenched in oil. I paid over £40 for 2 people, not worth the value. I wish I had gone elsewhere. Not recommended

We have been here for the 1st time tonight with family who have been recently and said it was great. So we went for my neices birthday and just wanted to give a huge shout out to the staff you gave fantastic service 👏 we had in tow our twin babies and 5 Yr old and we usually feel a complete inconvenience and in the way but not here all staff couldn't have been more welcoming they made sure we had plenty of room so we didn't clash with other tables, the table layout is spacious not like a traditional Indian restaurant where its quite compact, also parking is brilliant we parked right outside and no parking charges is a bonus. Nothing was to much trouble they made effort to welcome the children too which makes a big difference and the food and atmosphere was amazing we've really enjoyed out night thankyou to all the team we will defiantly come again and recommend to others keep up the great work !!!

Absolutely amazing experience from food, decor, ambiance and such friendly and lovely staff. Different areas of seating. Helped us decide on the dish we would enjoy. Tailored the spice to our liking. Available parking infront and good variety on the menu. Definitely worth a visit, you won't be disappointed.

My family and I have visited this restaurant over 10 times this year ! The staff are attentive and polite, If you want cheaper alternative food it's probably best you look for a butty van on an industrial estate! Thanks Purple Lounge Team !!!

Excellent Indian restaurant, the staff couldn't do enough for our party. Warm and welcome atmosphere. Even got a free birthday cocktail at the end of the meal. Would recommend.

Recently celebrated my sons birthday here with family. We all thought that the food was absolutely delicious and it also looked great. We all had different dishes and they came out presented differently in lovely silver or clay pots which was a lovely little touch. Really friendly staff and decor is quite cool

2nd time ordering at the Purple Lounge for delivery. 1st order was lovely, no problems. My husband has a nut allergy so the restaurant was made aware of this. Our 2nd order was made on Sunday, after ordering we got a call from the restaurant stating that we should not be ordering from them with allergies. He stated that if we wanted the order we would need to go to the restaurant and sign to state we are happy with the food due to my husbands allergies (?!). We had paid for delivery but apparently this would be refunded, he also stated we could not have the mixed starter. We were not given an alternative and we explained we had the mixed starter on our last order. We collected the order and my husband signed a receipt (?). When we arrived home a main meal was missing from our order. I rang the restaurant and was told again, we should not have ordered with them due to my husbands allergy, we were spoken to extremely rudely and told we would need to go back to the restaurant to collect the rest of the meal. We didn't bother. We are still awaiting refunds for the missing orders and the delivery fee. Never before have we had a takeaway/restaurant refuse to take our order or scold us for ordering with them when my husband has an allergy to nuts. The customer service was horrendous and we never received an apology or an understandable explanation. Don't bother visiting or ordering if you have an allergy!

If you want your food rammed down your throat and then be practically kicked out of the restaurant then The Purple Lounge is the place to go!! After the main course we were asked if we would like anything else, we had 2 children with us who wanted a dessert as did some adults, so we asked for the desert menu only to be told that we couldn’t because they were too busy and had people waiting for our table!! We had booked weeks in advance but not once was we told we had a time frame in which to eat our meals. We were very rushed and had no time in between meals and then spoken to very rudely by staff when we asked why our time was limited. Everyone within our party left very disappointed and will not be booking again.

Beautiful place, love the decor in awe with the different seating designs. The food is just spot on. The service was very good. Would highly recommend to try.

I had a nice meal here at weekend, and after being advised by a waiter that there was a 50% off per person up to £10 the following week, I recommended the place to my parents. Staff confirmed the deal when my parents entered, however they were cheated out of the deal when it came to paying. Apparently as my dad didn't get a starter with his steak (there was no mention of this by staff or on the Facebook beforehand). As much as I have enjoyed my first two visits, I don't now expect there will be a third.

Busy place, very clean, service was fast and efficient. The food was hot and delicious. plenty to choose from. Gr8 selection of wine and beer on the drinks menu. I would suggest booking as it was busy with birthdays and family night outs.

Take away food is just as nice as if you sit inside. Had many orders now, always 10/10, service and decor is really nice too. By far and away our favourite Indian restaurant.

My go to place always! The service is spot on, they always treat you like royalty. The food is EXCELLENT! Especially the sizzling mixed grill.. Great value for money and people working there they have great ethic and manners.

My son and daughter in law's wedding party was held here, we had a wonderful evening, the restaurant owner and all the staff went out of their way to make sure that everyone was looked after. They all worked really hard, nothing was too much trouble for them. thankyou Purple Lounge. X

Was really looking forward to eating here as was given really good reviews. I have a dairy intollerance, this is never usually an issue and know what usually does not have dairy in. The restaurant left me to look at the menu for 20 minutes and then told me I couldn't have anything on the menu. The only thing I could have was a chicken or lamb curry with boiled rice. That none of the other dishes could be given to me due to cross contamination. I know that there can always be cross contamination and this does not stop me from eating out. This is not an allergy or intollerance friendly place at all, I could have got just a lamb curry from any pub for cheaper! Will not be returning I would have walked out if I was not bringing my parents out for a special meal.

Everything was cold, popadoms was stale. Only our second time ordering from here. First time was lovely food and hot. Don’t know what happened with this set meal for two but not one bit of it was worth it.

Eaten from here lots of times both inside and takeaway. Ordered take away last night was really disappointing madras was flooded with oil and the spicy chips look to have gone from home made to normal frozen fries, the rice was dry to. Its the first time since eating here I didn't feel great the next morning it's £40 I won't get back, complete let down last night come on guys let's get it back to 5 star reviews

Good quality food at a reasonable price. The place was very quiet on our visit, with a few more people in the place the atmosphere would be good. The staff do their job.

I have been to purple lounge a few times with friends and families. I would only recommend people going to purple lounge on off peak times. This is because during busy periods the waiters are overwhelmed, unable to multi task, make several mistakes for example take drink orders but forget to bring the drinks and when they do bring the drinks; the drinks are wrong and not the ones we asked for. Decor is nice and food is good during quiet times but during busy periods of the day purple lounge seriously fall below standards and are unable to handle the pressure which leads to not a nice experience. This should not be the case and they should be able to maintain the standards both during busy periods and quiet periods.

Ordered two meals, One didn't arrive, rice arrived cold. Phoned up, didn't get a sorry, and they hung up on me before I could ask for warm rice to be sent with our missing curry. Shocking customer service all around.

This is the 2nd time I have been here for a meal, and it was just as good as the first time. The service is excellent and so is the food, which I thought was reasonably priced. I will certainly be going again and I highly recommend this restaurant.

we got takeaway they don't give discount for takeaway so food was 15 more than if I had got it from spice zone which is gorgeous. Attitude of young lad was arrogant and cocky, to top it the chicken was chewy and food lacked any flavour. Will definitely not be going again.

After reading all the reviews I was looking to dinning here, but was left very disappointed. We have to order our meal days before as it was a party of 20. Mint sauce well the mint was missing, just yogurt on it's own. Order a chicken tikka massla, well I got a chicken korma, Send it back was told they would make me a new one but it never arrived. I was left with no food while everyone in the party got their food and eat it all. I was left with nothing. Worst restaurant I have ever been too. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Save your money go somewhere else unfortunately I have to give one star.

Rang to book a table at the last minute and even though they were on the verge of closing, the staff were really friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. We were the only table in there, but they didn't rush us in any way. The food was great and the place was spotless.

Shocking! We ordered a takeaway Dec 22 (after previously enjoying the food) The wrong items were delivered and no matter how many times we contacted (politely) by text/email/phone they would not respond at all. Even called into the restaurant to no avail. £33 out of pocket as a result and we ate nothing! Unbelievably bad customer service and breach of consumer rights

Food was shocking. £39.95 for show that the performer sang a few songs out of view and then left. Accountant sat on nearby table counting all the receipts and found him very rude when we approached him. Bar staff were very pleasant and friendly, however management were disgraceful. Would not recommend at all. Been in the past and food wasn’t too bad but tonight it was dry and cold. Only decent thing was the poppadoms. Definitely won’t be going again.

Really friendly staff and nice food but unfortunately for us the party in the private room were far too noisy. Screaming kids and was too loud to hear each other speak at times. Too bright in their too needs some relaxing ambience to soften the place.

When this place first opened it was actually decent, now it’s just overpriced and lacks flavour, my last two takeaway from here have been dreadful. Payed £15.95 for a tandoori king prawn masala which had 3 prawns in it! The massala literally had no flavour to it what so ever, I could have made better myself. It was like half a curry that you get from any other resteraunt/takeaway honestly £15.95 for such a small portion I was not impressed, felt like they have had my pants down. compared to other restaurants this place is a shambles. NEVER will I waste my money here again.

This was a week day visit . Its has very nice decor and being a Wednesday was not at all busy . We had onion barghi for starters and poppodoms with dips . My partner had a chicken chili balti ..i had the seafood medley and garlic nan . But i do feel the seafood medley was ok ish but not impressed with the price of it at £16.95 was not worth the money to be honest . The total bill was almost £58 with just one pint of beer and one small glass of wine was a little on the expensive side .. lots of room to park if need be . But this is only a ten minute walk for us .

Food was alright, very nice inside and free parking outside. The only downside was we had a lot of food left over and asked for it to be bagged up to take home which they did only to find once got home they never put the 2 chicken currys in the bag, rang them up to explain this and they promised to ring me back which they never did which was a really disappointing... so make sure if you do ask for food to be bagged up just a quick check whilst there would be advisable

Booked here last night 18/8/20 it was busy but no excuse very bad service felt ignored all through the meal. Firstly shown to our table fine then waited about 30 mins before our order was taken then starters came before we had our popadams and dips ! Onion bhaji was dry and tasteless, others ordered fish started in some kind of sauce but did not get that instead got dry pieces of fish dusted in spices . ( not a good start ). Main meal came not too bad 2 x shazliks on hot dishes, 3rd curry came just in a large plate already dished out with no where to put your rice , we asked for an additional plate from a small Asian man who then proceeded to go and chat to a table in the window for 10 mins before bringing our plate food was getting cold so we asked another younger member of staff who brought another plate. Lastly we asked for takeaway dishes to take our food home as we did not enjoy being ignored anymore this was the same small man we had asked previously for a plate yet again he ignored us and had to wait another 15 mins to bring our dishes to put our own food in we did again ask someone else !! Very poor customer service we do come regular and used to come for the tribute act nights but we wont be back anytime soon or be recommending this place to anyone 😔😌
