Ordered the Mac and cheese burger and for some reason it was absolutely disgusting. Everything in the mac and cheese was just so sweet, like sickly, desert like sweet, sweet like it tasted like they made a mistake and used sugar instead of salt by accident. The burger in innedible. Honestly gross. Can not reccomend

First time I’ve tried this place but it meant driving from Horwich to Walkden to pick up. Once back home I realise there was a burger missing and jumped back into my car. When I arrived back the chap was extremely apologetic and whipped up another burger but also gave me free Kevin Bacon fries. I was more than happy with that as these things happen but he then insisted on giving me a £10 refund. I was gobsmacked! What can I say. Outstanding food and outstanding service. I will definitely be back and I hope their small business goes from strength to strength!

This place used to be really good!, but it's gone downhill overtime. We used to order from here all the time, but now it's just not the same. Tonight's burger was a total letdown - it was skinny, flat, and crispy. Plus, they left out some of the ingredients that's supposed to be on it. Honestly, I don't think we'll be coming back here again.

Expensive and food awful.. got the California triple x burger for £12 I think it was and it basically looks like mushed up burnt mince meat… and this place has apparently got award winning burgers… haha ok then

Food is ok, with the Bob’s sauce being the best thing on the menu. Customer service is non-existent, which is a shame as the place was alright when it first opened. Never again for me due to it being a roulette to order, along with ‘missing’ orders when the delivery driver is on the way.

Not great! Don't know what happened to the burger meat, more like donner meat. Mine was supposed to be a calafornia triple XL and it looks more like a single. The wifes chicken burger was smaller than a chicken mayo from maccies. Never again. Just see these photos before you order.

Absolutely gorgeous from here, lovely burgers, Kevin bacon fries delicious. I'd love to order from here all the time, but there's one thing that stops me from ordering here again, not the prices, but the fact they don't do any child orientated meals like chicken nuggets or fish fingers etc. Yes I know, it's a burger place and they want to keep it simple, but catering for young children too would be a better for business, why? Because if parents love these burgers, they will be more inclined to order again and again especially when they can feed the family at one place.

Bought 2 burgers and 2 types of fries today as we used to love this place. The burgers used to be juicy and really tasty but last 2 visits the food has been tasteless meat with overly sweet burger Sauce which leaves a taste of artificial sweeteners in your mouth. The burgers were indistinguishable even though they were 2 different ones. They used to be amazing but seem to have gone off the boil. For the price, they were really expensive and left us agreeing we wouldn’t bother with the place again.

Paid for priority delivery and the burger arrives freezing cold. The chips were basic with no spices on them. Can’t believe they charge £4 for plane fries. Very dissatisfied and won t order here again

To all the food lovers..went to The Steak Box yesterday and omg what an experience, amazing food and great service and so fresh..definitely recommend to all and guys get going and try them out between the hours of 7am-7pm..

Why does the owners critisize people's reviews. Surely not everyone can be wrong. Instead of defending yourselves, listen, so better and be consistent. If you don't listen to customers you will lose them and end up in the dirt.

Me and my mate ordered two cali burgers and two different fries. We both thought the burger was underwhelming for the price and as an overall package. I got cowabunger fries which were really tasty and my mate got the heatseeker fries which he also said were good. I just feel let down as I heard so many good things and waited so long to try it (due to price) it wasn't what it claimed it would be. The fries shouldn't be the memorable item from a burger place. All the best guys but I won't be returning.

Absolutely fuming. Placed an order for 2 burgers ans 2 fries. I appreciste its Saturday but it doesnt take 1hour 40 mins to cook. Checking on Uber eats said max 60 mins. Twice ot wad supposedly on its way. I rang 5 timed but no answer.Food arrived cold. Really bad service

Ordered a burger but they only sent me fries. Shame, been wanting to try this place for a long time but with such a fundamental error I won't risk it again.

First and last time ordering from here. Fries were cold and crispy, burger was small,thin and so overcooked it was crunchy. Definitely will not be returning

Used to be amazing, but ordered via Ubereats - stone cold when it arrived, drive ran off when I tried to ask him about it. Real shame as amazing when the food is hot!

Usually really good but the last few times have put me off and I won't be ordering again. Took just shy of 2 hours to arrive, the order had missing items and the fries and burger were stone cold. Ended up just binning it and ordering from somewhere else.

Terrible customer service Terrible delivery times Always blames Uber when they constantly take orders still. You know what this is not about a burger place its about the owners and there smiles and good social media skills as for running a business what a joke 1.45 min to get shabby food sad times. If you can’t handle the heat get out the kitchen.

Ordered last night, came late, and with half of the order missing. Tried ringing the restaurant but was 5 minutes before closing time so no one answered. So i basically paid over £30 for burger and chips which also wasn't as good quality as normal. Disgusting!

Ordered a New Yorker burger and it didn’t disappoint. The secret burger sauce was unreal. Staff were friendly and food was ready in 10mins and was still piping hot when I got home 20mins later

Wish I could rate 0 star! What a joke of an establishment. Food arrived FREEZING COLD, we live 8 doors away. Husband walked it back to the restaurant. They obviously cooked it well in advance and left it to sit, which tells me they have no clue how to run a takeaway as seemingly they can’t prepare to order. Worse thing is they obviously know we live literally up the road and had the cheek to think we wouldn’t come and bring it back and just accept it freezing cold. Cowboys pretending to be actual Chefs. Never review anything but corrrrr. Guy there was absolutely sound. £25 collection bundle was unreal. Scranning in the car round the corner with mates and I think my legs fell off. Kevin bacon fries were absolutely ethereal. Wasn't even drunk, it still hit the 10/10 mark. Smash burger with perfectly crispy edges to melt for. Even when a mate didn't have the exact money he still sorted them out. No complaints, definitely consume and get it in you. Can't vouch for delivery but was cooked in less than 10m when in the human. Seriously doing something right these lot.

I’ve Just purchased a chicken burger on Uber and I’m actually in shock at what I’ve just received for £7 ! It’s a tiny burger with a 3mm piece of dried up chicken on it . Can’t actually believe my eyes .literally looks like s child’s microwave burger . Never again :(

Been wanting to try this place for a long time , so decided to order on Uber eats.. all I can say is very disappointed! Had the Californian dreaming burger and the bacon loaded fries , and very underwhelmed ! Burger was ok but fries terrible all stuck together and had to bin most of them ! Won’t return again.. much better places out there and a lot cheaper 2/10

This used to be my favourite burger in Swinton and walkden the burgers used to melt in Ur mouth After todays recent meal I'm sad to say the food quality has gone down hill 😭😔 and the price to expensive

£30 for cold food. Ordered on Uber for collection was told would be ready at 18.33 but while on way to collect it the app suddenly said it was ready 15 minutes before expected. So food was cold and of a very poor standard as to normal. I've been here many times before. The burger was flat as a standard McDonald's burger definitely not a £10 plus supposedly award winning burger. The chips had become a salty congealed lump of potato and cheese. Will not be going back they have lost their way now a sub par burger joint. Not what it was. Definitely not food you'd expect at the price they charge.

First time trying here, got the collection / delivery deal - 2 california dreaming burgers, 1 Kevin bacon fries and 2 drinks, saves you about £6-7. Given the burgers are £8-10 each - comparable to Five guys, they were much smaller than I expected, however the burger patties are very tasty! Best burger patties in Walkden, but I would expect them to be a bit bigger, considering the picture on the website. Big Bob sauce was also tasty, good portion of fries.

I ordered today around 19:50 in Uber Eats and is 21:49 and the food never arrived…. App was showing that food was still cooking at 21:30 when the place is closing at that time. Never again

Current rating of 3.1 is accurate, I just wish I saw this and read the reviews. This place used to be so good, always tasty & fresh with well above the average burger place. Tonight it took over 2 hours on a Wednesday tea time to arrive. Not worth the wait, cold, soggy, or overcooked. So disappointing especially spending £40. I won't be ordering again.

The service is atrocious! Watching your food being made in this place gives you anxiety, not sure how they achieved a 5 hygiene rating. The staff members were coughing into their hands, eating food with their fingers, not once washing their hands then touching the cooked food! The attitude of the girls working there is beyond rude and very unprofessional.

Absolutely do not use! burgers we're stone cold , had to reheat in the oven , the store doesn't even have a contact number to complain and wasn't able to get in touch with thr uber driver ! Today I broke my personal best for the worst lunch takeaway I have had. Chips were over dry and oil seemed bad. The chicken burger had no mayo or lettuce, thus being too dry to eat. Was literally a piece of chicken slapped between the buns. No ketchup, no mayo sachet, no salt supplied. May as well give us all the ingredients frozen and I will cook it all myself. Atleast the samosa we ordered should come with a chutney. Extremely disappointed. Those preparing the meal would you have this yourself? Ask yourself this question.

Food came and was freezing cold, got onions on my chicken tikka wrap and it came with mint yoghurt all over it, wrap was dripping with grease, won’t be getting anything from here again, only decent thing were the chips and even they were average

Good food but be prepared to wait 20-30 minutes for your food. Onion ring portion very small (6 for £2), sauce pot also very small, recommend ordering 2 per person.

Plenty of people claim to do good steak and chips. Genuinely not had better than this in the North West. Shame i missed out on breakfast menu but steak flavours were epic and just the right amount of chilli. Oh and for a food box, super clean and no grease or mess.

The best food you can get for under a £5 would highly recommend. Cheap and cheerful

By far the best takeaway in the area, the food is always incredible and the customer service is out of this world. We ordered on ubereats and they had run out of chicken strips so through the app offered us replacement sides, when the food turned up they'd included a free side of chicken strips as they had one portion left! Big bobs sauce is delicious too :) can't recommend enough!

Been wanting to try this place for ages. Ordered 2 California dreaming burgers and Kevin’s fries was very disappointed as the food turned up freezing cold. I can’t see how this is possible as I live 5 mins from the restaurant and the food turned up within 30 mins. The delivery time is the only reason I’ve given 1stars
