There are 3 main historical landmarks. The Garhi where Guru Sahib took refuge, Gurudwara Katalgarh Sahib where dead bodies of all singhs were cremated, and Gurudwara Damdama Sahib.

Gurudwara shri Katal Garh sahib, is holy place Baba Ajit Singh and Baba Jujhar Singh elder sons of Guru Gobind Singh ji fought against 10 lakh soldiers of Mughal Empire and 21 Kings of Mountains Shivalik range now called Himachal. It was brutal fight between few sikhs and more than 1 million mughal soldiers. In sikh history it is very respectful place .

Very historical place the first gurudwara which one encounters while travelling from machiwara sahib is katlgarh sahib it's the place where guru Gobind Singh Ji elder two sons were martyred. Just few away is the garhi where they all had stayed now at present it is gurudwara called garhi sahib. I had recently shown the movie char sahibzade to my kids so to keep the history momentum on we visited the place. One can also appreciate the mountains from garhi sahib. Even enjoyed the road trip along neelon river it's so green and peaceful. Along this road lots of vendors sell organic honey (that's what they claim, but not tested) there is a fort before reaching the Chamkaur sahib but we were not able to locate it . Worth taking kids to this place to get to see the place which gave Us so much of history.

The place where supreme sacrifice done by our tenth Guru sahib. Chottey sahibjade shahidi place to save Humanity, Hindu religion and faith on ones religion. No one can forget ever this supreme sacrifices of very young children's of 7 and 9 years. #dhangurugobindsinghji

The Battle of Chamkaur, also known as Battle of Chamkaur Sahib, was a battle fought between the Khalsa, led by Guru Gobind Singh, and the coalition forces of the Mughals led by Wazir Khan. Guru Gobind Singh makes a reference to this battle in his victory letter Zafarnama.

A must visit for all, who want to understand the valor of Sikh Army and their contribution to today's Independent India.

Chamkaur Sahib is a Sub Divisional town in the district of Rupnagar in the Indian State of Punjab. It is famous for the First Battle of Chamkaur (1702) and the Second Battle of Chamkaur (1704)fought between the Mughals and Guru Gobind Singh.
