Stopped in here on a recommendation. Grabbed an order of Quesabirria tacos with corn tortillas (on the employee's recommendation). Honestly, I'm very happy with the meal. Meat was cooked well, good amount of cheese, decent portion. The tortillas were lightly crisp with good texture. They were slightly bland, but a touch of salt really elevated them to fantastic levels. Docked a star for underseasoning, but with salt at the table, this could have been a conscious decision on their part to suit the taste of more people. So yeah, highly recommended. Just remember to pop them open when they are still hot and lightly salt them.

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! Very authentic mexican food. The flavor is amazing. Quality and quantity of the food is amazing for the low cost. Staff is very friendly, feels like family. Very conveniently located on the corner of Cloud and 9th and plenty of parking in the 2 parking lots. They are doing it right here. If you haven't tried their food yet, you must go!

Looked forward to Taco Tuesday for weeks, I did just move back to the area and it has been a year since I’ve eaten here, but even on their Facebook not 16 hours ago they posted an ad picturing the old tacos made with quality meat, cilantro and onions. The way tacos are meant to be made. I looked past the price increase, but false advertising? Literally illegal. Meat was grey, and we literally couldn’t even eat our food. We changed our schedule around, and wasted our time. Couldn’t pay me to eat here again sadly.

This is a no-frills for-real Mexican establishment. There’s no free chips and salsa here but trust me you won’t miss it. I had the Quesabirrias de Res and I swear I’ve never had food that tasted so good. Top tier tacos. Tip: Park in the Kraft Manor parking lot; the parking on the north side is dicey getting backed out with busy Cloud street traffic.

It was OK. I spent $16 for one person for lunch on $1.50 taco day. I had 3 tacos, beans $3 & cheese dip $6. Get a meal instead. Just not as good as El Puerto in Clay Center and way more expensive.

Tacos are good but not a fan of the barbacoa ones, they have dripping red grease. I feel like the authentic ones are like the ones you can get at La Jerenzana. Menudo use to be way better a couple years back but the pozole is tasty. I like the sopes, rice, and beans. The selection of cakes, drinks, and snacks are nice though!

Coming from someone who LOVES birria tacos these here are a 10/10. I will be coming back.

Our family ate here today for the first time. Came over from Hutchinson. The food was so good that we’re already planning another trip JUST to eat here again! Fast and friendly service as well. I wish they’d come to Hutch and open a restaurant!

Friends visiting from the Dominican Republic so we went for Mexican at their request. Just had the tacos. Two for each of the four of us. But this man who didn't eat much the entire week they were visiting - went back for two more! It's THAT good.

Taqueria Fresnillo is the only place I go for true authentic tacos. When your taste buds tell you Mexican food this is the spot in Salina ks!

These tacos wer the best! Seriously y'all sleeping on them. The carnitas were the best ever. Love the house made hot and mild sauce they're perfect. Hot is hot like it should be!! The lime and cilantro is the perfect combination of flavors! Highly recommend!! We're definitely going to be coming back for more. We are future regulars now!! We will be in as much as our wallets allow! haha!

I used this place for the first time today to cater a lunch. It was a large order and everything was done correct and on time, at a really good price. The food is the absolute most delicious Mexican food I've had. I don't even live around here but will definitely be back!

The food was really good! Staff were not very interactive, young, and distracted by technology, which influenced my to go option. I will return. The enchiladas were delicious.

Small Flour Enchiladas that used to be around $7 for 6 of them, have jumped to $3.99 EACH, or $24 plus tax!! I realize that food prices have gone up, but they haven't quadrupled!! No thanks.

It was my sister who got me hooked on this place! She knew it would be up my alley, serving all the good stuff! I've stated before, I could get fat drinking horchata, and this is the place where that is most likely to happen 🤣 Fresnillo is my favorite place for Mexican food in Salina! The guacamole is a generous serving, the chips are served with three different salsas, roja, verde, and picante, and all the food is filling! The selection of beverages includes offerings ranging from Sangria Señorial to Jarritos to Modelo Especial. Claro que sí, this also includes big glass bottles of frosty Mexican Coca-Cola with real sugar 😁 The place really is a nice little spot to get out of the muggy Central Kansas summer heat and cool off. For those who are looking for something other than food, the place also conveniently offers a beautiful selection of leather ware, including handmade leather belts! Just the thing to display cultural appreciation to the whole world! The building is old and the seating space is moderate at best, but I am pleased to say that Fresnillo has been holding their own in a community known for so much Mexican food! Addendum: Dear meat eaters, This establishment has been sitting next to Kansas Wesleyan University since it opened. That means two things: One, they make a mean taco to satisfy the bellies of starving broke college students, and two, these tacos are reasonably affordable! There are days out of the week when the tacos are, I think, just one or two dollars a piece, so it's easy to get as many as you like! I know many of you meat eaters are also the people who have kids!!! 🤣🤣🤣 So what are you waiting for???
