My husband and I stayed the night in Salina. We decided to try out La Casita, a family owned Mexican restaurant. The exterior and interior decor is beautiful. Very inviting. Our server, Desiree, was tentative. We started with a small order of guacamole. It was bland, but good with more lime and salt. The hot sauce had a good flavor. I had a 25oz mango margarita. Big size for the price. It was delicious and boozy. We opted to share chicken and steak fajitas. The flavor was delicious. I would have preferred my meat cut into thinner strips. Veggies were cooked well to my liking. The skillet and sides were plenty for 2 to share. Towards the end of our visit, the owner, Paul Garcia, came over to chat. Very friendly man that took over his family's restaurant. We had a nice conversation. I will definitely come back if I'm in the area.

We were craving some Mexican food and the place we had chosen was closed for dining so we looked up this place and gave it a shot. Sooooooooo glad we did!!! We were greeted promptly, seated promptly, and able to order promptly. We told the hostess this was our 1st time and she graciously welcomed us and informed us that we were able to get a free queso! (YESSSS) That was important to me because she didn't necessarily have to tell us that because we didn't know any different. I don't know what that queso had in it, but I want some RIGHT NOW as I type lol ANNNND the CHIPS...I think they are now the best chips that I personally have had. The beans that came with the Chimichanga meal was GREAT and flavorful, the rice was a tad dry and a little under seasoned, and the chimichanga was DELISH with alllll of the cheese and you could really taste the pecan in the meat. The grand finale was the fried ice cream y'all. Anyone that desires a good dessert especially if they have never had fried ice cream, don't even go if you don't try it. Seriously....WHOAAAAA lol. I'm in love and if I am EVER in this area again I most CERTAINLY will be returning.

Sad excuse of Mexican food. I am never mean on reviews and I feel bad but their reviews are extremely misleading. 2 small leather for meat tacos with bland whole beans and white rice was 17 dollars.Yuck. my kids didn't even eat their food. Comically bad. 85 bucks for 3 meals lol

OMG this place was great. The tacos and white pear margarita was out of this world. I came all the way from Oregon and it was so worth it. The staff was great.

I wasn't impressed. My husband and I thought we would give this restaurant a chance. The greeter needs to pull his long hair back in a ponytail. The food was meh. I've had better food at other Mexican restaurants. My husband and I were disappointed. We won't go back.

First off all any review before mine that said this place is good or even great flat out lied. This is by far the worst wannabe Mexican food I have ever tasted. The food is straight out of the frozen section of Walmart with absolutely no flavor and very watery, my wife and I barely touched our food and left it in the table and the waitress had the nerve to ask how everything was when it was very obvious. We told her how the food tasted and she had the nerve to tell us everything is fresh and freshly made which was a bold face lie. Needless to say we would never go back to this place again

Locals seem to love this place, but if you’re from out of town, avoid with extreme prejudice. The food was some of the worst I’ve had, however the waitress was nice, but all of the staff seemed a bit clueless and confused. I have never actually not ate my meal, not to mention that it was $40 for two people.

This was their idea of nachos, we were so hungry we ate them anyway. The chips were soggy and once the cheese cooled it was solid. The margaritas tasted like they had some kind of oil in them.

Great food, the style of the food stands out from the rest. The green chilli salsa (gotta ask for it) is absolutely amazing. Don't let the name fool you, it's a traditional red salsa with a kick, (warning, it's hot).

I enjoyed the taco salad for lunch. Also, I like the choice of spicy salsa table side. The food was delivered fast and was tasty. Seating was available right away, being the past the lunch hour rush. They are conveniently located off the main highway.

I have never had my food served so hot, it was great along with the homeade chips and taco shells! Great prices and our waitress Bettye was wonderful, she asked if it was our first time (it was) and then came back with a complimentary queso which we had planned to order, we will definitely be back!

My husband and I were coming home through Salina and were hungry for Mexican food. Looked up a ton of places in Salina that served Mexican but this one caught our eye and we decided to try it. Wonderful food (recomend the corn tortilla with brisket) and the best little waitress you could ask for. Loved the personal and friendly service. Felt like she was family! Would go again if in the area.

Service was very attentive and friendly. The food was awesome. I had the beef enchiladas that weren't just tortilla filling and generic sauce poured on top. They dipped in sauce and then cooked. The atmosphere was great. The prices were a little higher than most comparable restaurants but the food definitely justified the slightly higher prices. Will definitely make a point to eat here again on my next visit.

I am very glad I was recommended to this restaurant. The staff was very friendly and gave great customer service. The price is very reasonably for the amount of food. I had the Lenore's special. When I am in town next time, I will definitely visit this restaurant again.

Used to eat here once a week, but after the manager margarita shamed my wife we figured that was the end of that run at La Casita. We were always good tippers and there are menu items I will miss, but there are other Mexican joints in town that would love to have our money..

Stopped in with the family for a meal to celebrate my mother's birthday. As always, the food was good and came out fast. Had the Brisket Chimichanga. It was excellent.

Excellent Pozole soup. A fellow dinner at the table next to me said he loves their Menudo.

I drive all over as a trucker to include all the southwestern states you would expect great quality mexican food, sadly thats not always the case mostly sad phoning it in overpriced just passable cuisine so to find this gem in Kansas was a great surprise. I had shrimp fajitas and they were cooked to perfection with all the trimmings perfect as well. The service was attentive and friendly.

The flour chips are light and crisp the way chips should be and the hot pork steak chili is amazing. I have also tried the meal-in-one and the large is more than enough to fill you up. Out of all the Mexican restaurants in Salina, this is the only one I return to consistently!
