So, hubby and I are from south Georgia so we are pretty picky about our BBQ. We decided to try this place due to alot of good reviews. Keep in mind this is just OUR opinion.. we ordered the fried pickles as an app and they were honestly the best part of the meal! The way they were cut, the breading, the southwest ranch was all dynamite!! Then we both ordered 1 meat with 2 sides and corn bread. I got pulled pork and mac and cheese and fries, he got brisket, mac n cheese and the chili. The mac and cheese was pretty darn good. The fries super crispy and very tasty. The pork was okay. Not bad, also not the best. They put some kind of slightly spicy sauce on it and i wasn't a huge fan of it and otherwise the pork was pretty flavorless. The brisket was good but had alot of pieces that were 50 percent or more just fat. But the biggest let down for me was the cornbread.. it had a good flavor but I couldn't get past the texture..it was like cake. Very moist cake. Dense, moist and not at all like a corn bread I know. But again, we are from the south where it's made homemade in a cast iron skillet and much less dense. Overall for Northern style BBQ, it's not bad. Try it out and see for yourself. The service was decent and friendly, the place is decorated nicely and the plates remind me of my childhood when my food couldn't touch haha. Also my hubby liked the chili but be warned, it's got a kick to it!

Ok, I was reluctant to try this place because of the inconsistent reviews but I’m glad I did make the trip. Ordered a three way BBQ feast of a meal with a 1/3 rack of ribs, pulled pork and the 1/2 chicken. Portions were decent size and flavorful. My side of baked beans were super hot and dynamite! Cole slaw could have been better. Corn bread was moist and matched beautifully with the rest of the plate. Also ordered a Middle Ages Syracuse Pale Ale that tasted more like an IPA than a Pale Ale yet it still went down well. Wait staff was very attentive, friendly and checked in on me often. If I could’ve wedged in a dessert I would have taken her suggestion but I was completely sated from the meal. All in all, great experience here & I do recommend stopping in when you can.

Tara was our server for the first time here. She was fantastic, patient, and knowledgeable. We sat next to the lizard town motif. Good music good lighting going into early dark outside. The dinners we ordered lasted us 2 days. We got the pick 3 platters, awesome ribs, great tasting brisket, the chili is hot as it claims (yum). Oh.. and appetizer pretzels. I will order those EVERY time.

Nachos were a good portion but kinda dry. We also purchased the 3 meat platter to split. The chicken was super juicy but tough... the brisket was tough as well but had really good flavor. The BBQ sauce was really good as well. Our waitress was really nice and knowledgeable...gave us great recommendations! They have quick draw...which was nice. I would definitely go back for a few drinks and play quick draw...not so sure that I would order the BBQ platter again.

Overall, very good. The seasoning on the roasted corn wasn't for me and the Mac and cheese was a bit sharp but that's just personal preference, no knock against the restaurant. The brisket, pulled pork and especially the ribs were outstanding. Would I recommend? Absolutely

This was more of a local bar with a restaurant on the side. The downside was that the bar was right there at the dining room part that was open, so it was noisy and made it difficult to hear others. There was a pretty good beer selection, which was nice. The other side away from the bar wasn't open for service when we went. The food was okay, but nothing I would rush to try again. We started with the Buffalo dip that had a nice spice like it should and was creamy. However, the chips were stale. I didn't say anything until the end, so I'm not sure if they had fresh ones. We also got the fried tomatoes, which came with a nice dipping sauce. Daughter 1 got the Mac and cheese with fries - good but not great. Son 1 got the beef taco, which he devoured and had a good taco spice to it. Son 2 for the wrap, which was very good. Daughter 2 for the burnt ends sandwich, which again was very good. Wife got the 2 meat combo with the ribs and wings, collard greens, and cole slaw. Meats were smoky and cooked just right. Add a side of the blueberry wing sauce, and you won't be disappointed. However, the collard greens are frozen and lack any real flavor. The cole slaw was vinegar and poppy seed base. I got the 3 meat common combo with the half chicken, pulled pork, and brisket with mashed and baked beans. Again, the meats are cooked correctly. The basic bbq sauce was flavorful. Downside was the mashed are boxed potatoes - no flavor again, just like the collard greens. The baked beans were fantastic. Service was very good, attentive, and pleasant. I don't think we would go back, as Syracuse is close enough with a better variety of restaurants. If you are looking for bbq after doing the drive-through light display, the meats will make you happy, but be careful with the sides.

Was not impressed. The food was not good. Not much flavor, the meat from the brisket was very fatty. Small sides. Picked up and waited about 20 minutes past the time it said it would be done. The staff wasn't very friendly. Won't be back. Do better.
