This
was
the
only
general
dental
business
listed
as
available
under
my
insurance
plan.
I
called
to
schedule
a
check-up
and
X-rays,
and
over
the
phone,
the
staff
was
professional
and
sent
me
online
forms
to
complete.
When
I
entered
the
door,
one
staff
member
had
their
back
turned
away
on
their
phone,
and
the
other
greeted
me
and
then
turned
away.
When
I
gave
them
my
name
and
appointment
time,
they
seemed
confused
about
when
I
booked,
and
I
got
the
feeling
they
had
not
set
up
my
appointment.
They
then
asked
for
all
the
information
I
had
spent
time
giving
them
in
advance
and
told
me
the
only
information
I
provided
was
my
insurance
company's
name.
I
had
provided
all
the
required
information
on
the
online
forms,
and
they
rushed
to
contact
my
insurance
company
to
confirm
my
eligibility.
It
was
clear
steps
hadn't
been
taken.
They
then
told
me
it
would
be
at
least
an
hour
wait
for
service.
This
was
the
first
time
I've
had
that
kind
of
delay
without
being
contacted
well
in
advance.
I
feel
again
that
my
appointment
wasn't
set
up
in
advance.
They
said
they
would
not
likely
provide
X-rays
due
to
short
staffing
issues,
which
is
why
I
came
in.
By
missing
work
for
this
appointment,
I
lost
money
to
be
seen.
They
were
vague
when
I
asked
if
they
would
provide
other
services
that
my
plan
offers,
such
as
teeth
cleanings.
They
said
that
I
could
show
up
for
a
scheduled
appointment
and
not
be
seen
at
all,
and
the
fact
I
had
a
Covered
California
plan
made
it
less
likely
I
could
have
these
services
taken
care
of
at
their
location.
There
was
a
strong
suggestion
that
the
only
benefits
they
could
unreliably
provide
were
X-rays.
The
fact
that
I
pay
for
insurance,
give
up
money
by
missing
work,
and
expect
to
show
up
and
be
blown
off
completely
is
a
joke.
If
that
is
the
case,
I'd
give
up
more
money
missing
work
than
my
plan
was
worth.
So
I
canceled
it
with
my
insurance
company
and
filed
a
complaint
with
my
insurance
and
Covered
California.
The
agents
at
CA
said
this
type
of
practice
was
unacceptable
and
should
be
reported.
The
staff
came
across
as
vague
to
avoid
commitments,
unorganized,
combative,
and
rude.
I
buying
a
new
plan
tomorrow
to
avoid
going
here,
and
I
recommend
that
others
do
as
well.
Also,
the
first
sign
this
place
was
terrible
was
all
the
scotch
tape
from
old
notes
all
over
the
front
door's
glass
that
would
take
10
minutes
to
remove.
It
gave
the
initial
impression
that
this
location
would
be
the
nightmare
it
was.
Consider
cleaning
it
up.
