First time eating here and wasn't let down. Quick to be seated even though they were busy. Waitress was quick to the table, friendly and courteous. Our appetizers were out in less than five minutes, hot and delicious. The main meal choices are sound too good and unless you know exactly what you want you will take forever. Once ordered the food came quick, very fresh, hot and again delicious. I had the burnt ends, amazing and the potato salad is great and I'm not even a fan of potato salad. Outstanding time here and definitely will return.

Came here for lunch 5-16-2023 and y’all… this food so damn good. Got the pulled pork and brisket lunch special. Both were good as hell, especially with the spicy sweet sauce. The Mac n cheese and the baked beans were good. BUT the star of the show for ME was the hush puppies and that cinnamon butter… I don’t think I deserved to taste something that heavenly… great service, food came out fast, will be back again!

Don't think twice about this place, just go!!! Best around, in town, maybe in NC!! From their loaded stuffed potatoes to the sweet potato casserole (which instantly reminds you of Thanksgiving), I haven't even mentioned the amazing meat variety. We are trying to plan our next trip back. It's worth the 50-minute drive!!!

Went on a Saturday at 2pm. Extremely fast service and great food. Great variety of bbq sauces and the food was exceptionally well smoked. Juicy with a noticable pink smoke ring. They even give you an option on the brisket if you prefer dry medium or fatty. Fatty is the juiciest and dry being the end cuts. Everyone was friendly would definitely go back.

Very clean and nice restaurant. Really polite staff with prompt service. Everything on the menu sounds amazing. When the food came out it was smelling 😋 👌 Very good portions for the price. If you like Brisket, smoked chicken, ribs, and burnt ends then this is your place!! Will definitely be going back soon!!

Amazing food - best brisket I ever had, burnt ends, mac and cheese, corn bread and collard greens. Worth every penny and customer service was exceptional. VERY big portions though, so I recommend sharing the combo. Also, the banana pudding was DREAMY! Must pay them a visit!

Everything was delicious!! We had a pulled pork sandwich, baked beans, chicken tenders, mac and cheese, fries and hush puppies. Our server, Trea was awesome. Trea gave us a couple of helpful suggestions and was friendly and efficient. Highly recommend eating here. The food was really, really good!

5 stars, one of the best place to eat in Salisbury. Staffs are welcoming and the food is even better. Have you ever had sweet potato casserole with pecan inside, I didn't but it was awesome. Some crunch and then mouth full of soft creamy sweet potato. Back to BBQ, everything is good, doesn't even need sauce. If you want a lighter meal, try their big salad or turkey. Turkey is not dry and is well marinated so don't worry. Plenty of sauces to help add more moisture and flavor to your entree. Portion is big so watch out. I always pick the 2 pieces combo.

We ordered the 7 meat combo, everything was awesome, usually smoked turkey is dry, but not here. Definitely some of the best BBQ I've eaten. The service was very good, the restaurant was clean. We will be eating here again

This restaurant was suggested by the hotel clerk while on my business trip. I took the other managers here for dinner before our busy day. Our waitress was Nevaeh and she was absolutely phenomenal. She went over the items and made suggestions on our inquiries. I ordered the baby back ribs and smoked wings. The other managers order brisket, turkey and smoked wings as well. Our sides were fried okra, deviled eggs potato salad, baked beans, Mac and cheese, and cheese potatoes. Everything was very delicious. Kudos to the Chef. If you're looking for a great southern restaurant The Smoke Pit will not disappoint.

Local restaurant that is more of a Texas style BBQ place than NC BBQ. They have a wide selection of meats with Brisket, Ribs, Pulled Pork, Chicken Quarters, and more. I love to dip the sweet BBQ chicken into the spicy sauce they offer on the side. Believe me, when it comes to your entree, the sweet cornbread is a must for your bread choice. Side dishes are very good, especially the fried okra and the Mac-N-Cheese. Whatever you do, make sure you leave room for the banana pudding. You can get it as one of the two sides with your entree for an up charge, but just go ahead and order a regular portion. You’ll thank me later. It’s worth it.

Good food, good price. I stopped in while passing through Salisbury. I love that you can combine meats on a platter. The chicken was well seasoned with a good crunch on the outside. The brisket was good but much better with the barbecue sauce. Good choice of sides too.

Had lunch with my grandaughter today. We had fried pickles, chicken wing appetizers, sliced brisket on a bun, baby back ribs, green beans and french fries. Staff were friendly, all food was served quickly and it was all delicious. Nice family atmosphere. Got there at around 11:15 and was all ready busy, left at around 11:55 am and people were standing in the door.

Ordered $80 worth of take out and it was worth every single penny! It’s been years since I last ate here. It was great food then and it’s still great food to this day! Pictured is full baby rack ribs, fries, texas toast and pulled pork sandwich - this is only half of what all I ordered. Definitely will be back!
