The park itself is great. It’s an awesome asset to the city and surrounding areas. It’s got tennis courts, a pond, an aviary, volleyball courts several different biking / running / walking / skating loops including grass, dirt and cement and much more... There are plenty of public bathrooms available. There’s electric car charging. Markets on some days. It’s usually pretty clean and safe. It’s always interesting. So glad it’s here!

Awesome massive park with lots of things to do and adventure at. Cool running trail, biking trail, etc. This place has a massive playground, basketball court, horse shoe ring even an aviary. So many cool things here. I recommend coming here! When the weather gets good this place does get really crowded. It might be hard to park.

Poor Old Park, Grew up in this area used to be such a lush green park, still have some green but more of a dry green. Dogs can be in the park, they need to be leashed. Nothing against this group of people the homeless have started to camp in this park. There are still some features here from the past. But has changed alot However aside from the changes in the years we still had a great time walking in the park

Really love this park. Grew up going here... will say however that as a kid I could have wandered all over safely and its not the same anymore. Wish it was still family friendly.. and most days it is.. except Sundays. Anyone who goes on Sunday knows what I mean by not wanting to bring your kiddos around. ✌️ Overall a beautiful park! Lots of nostalgia for me. Hippies peeps need to check out drum on Sunday too if you're looking for a community to join.

I love this public park! It is located in downtown SLC, so it is so convenient to go there. There is plenty of space to park, but on weekends could be a little hard to find an empty spot. The islands there are nice to see and you can take pictures on the bridge there too. It is a park for all kind of activities: walking, cycling, rollerskating, beach volley, playground for the children.

It’s a big park. The Tracy Aviary is located on the west side. Along with the pool & tennis courts. The volleyball courts are on the west side of the park. Sometimes they’re crowded, other times, empty. There does tend to be some police driving around, especially towards the close. A safe park overall with lots of places to take photographs. The middle of the park used to have rides. On Sunday afternoons there are some pretty intense drum circles. Overall, a nice destination in Salt Lake that the whole family can enjoy.

Perfect spot to come for so many things honestly just depends what your in the mood for. Walking, jogging, cycling, roller skating, riding your scooter 🛴 , meeting some new people. Swimming, taking a nap even in a hammock which actually looked kinda nice. Great places for shade and sun. They have some classes down here at liberty park for the public to join. And also a great spot for kids to hang out and pace and the liberty park playground. THE LIST GOES ON. A great spot for dogs to come and play and run around or just hang out with there owners. A great spot to come and have a picnic on the grass or down by the pond whole you get greeted by ducks , geese and seagulls , which we also have a good time giving snacks to and they definitely enjoyed our pretzels and sandwich bread. The pond down there has a nice walk over bridge and theres alot of birds down there all kinds to see. Again a great place to spend time. And it's close to the Tracy Aviary which is where we were headed.

Beautiful park with lots to do. There's a playground, rides, pool, tennis courts, and lots of areas to walk around. There a free small museum exhibit and a paid aviary. The aviary is well worth the $12, tons of birds on exhibit great for kids and adults.

There are 2 playgrounds next to each other. One is for smaller children. Encourages music with xylophones, metal drum, and large chime pipes to play, also a couple of playhouses. Sometimes a kid train that drives around the area for a small fee. Very family oriented. Lots of flower gardens to walk along.

I love this park. Lots of diverse people and cool atmosphere. Lots of interesting attractions, and lots of tennis courts. It is near Downtown Salt Lake so do be mindful of the homeless, but they've never given me any problems. Maybe bring a fast food meal with you, I think they appreciate stuff like that.

A beautiful park with a pond right in Salt Lake City! I've visited this park off and on during the last few years and it's definitely a memorable one. During the spring and summer, it's a lot warmer and there are quite a few things to do. Including riding a pedal boat on the water or getting a snack. It's also just nice to visit the grassy area and get some sun. You can also walk around the park on the walkway. They usually plant a lot of flowers too, which are nice to see. You could definitely spend a day here, or at least half a day when the weather's nice. The only downside is that we've been bothered a few times by some homeless folks, but usually if you keep your distance and visit during the day then you're totally fine.

Needed a place to run while I'm in town, and this park was right down the street. Best of all, a woodchip path. One of the most comfortable runs I've ever had. Highly recommended.

I was genuinely impressed with how clean the city keeps this park! Sure, there are more than plenty homeless people wandering about; but I’ve never had an issue with them, and I honestly can’t blame anyone for using the park as a place to enjoy a nice afternoon. There are plenty of park benches, public trash cans to keep garbage off the ground, and pathways to enjoy. It’s a great little spot in the middle of the city.

The park is a little piece of heaven surrounded by nice neighborhood and community. Ive gone to the Drum Circle and Vendor stalls on Sundays. The Tracy Aviary is a great time located in the South West side of the park. In the north east corner there is an AA meeting that runs everyday at 2:15. There is a track for bicycles, roller skates, or just a walk or run around the park. Many places to hang a hammock or enjoy BBQ pits with a table. All around it is a safe and beautiful place to enjoy the weather and company of friends... Or make new friends while you are there.

Great place to walk! Big grass area too for playing or spend some time under the sun. There is plenty of parking space that surronds the park. Enjoyed our time here.

Gorgeous park with a lot to discover! I swear it looks like it was designed in a computer game like parks tycoon with the set up cause it has the most random, yet cool things there. Giant pond with a surrounding trail and people always fishing plus geese! There is also a little koy pond, greenhouse, aviary, like 3 playgrounds, and random giant hill, some founder's historical house/museum, a historical mill, tiny bush maze that may be for skateboarding? Basketball court that looks poppin' and a tennis court and lots of space between everything; the place is huge. With the greenhouse being there, the gardener there is on steroids with the gorgeous, unique plant arrangements and beds everywhere. There is even a giant plant-designed pineapple 🔥 Something for all ages so definitely check this place out!

It's a nice city park, will all the bells and whistles. The lake is a nice touch. Lots of homeless people laying around on the grass and van life people. Seems like an out door refuge camp.

Liberty park has just about everything you'd want in a city park. There is a pond, an aviary, extensive walking and biking paths, sand volleyball courts, large flat fields for sports and pretty much there is something for everyone. The pics added are in the park but I was photographing my bike in the park for a contest, sorry.

Great park for everyone. It's pretty large and has a bunch of options. Tons of people come here to skateboard. The pond is great with tons of ducks. The aviary is at the park too and they have DOLE WHIP. You don't have to get into the aviary to buy it either. I was excited about the rides at the park but it didn't seem like anyone had used them in a long time.

Liberty Park is safe, fun, large, and diverse with many things to do. There's plenty of space, even on busy days. On Sundays, you might be able to listen to a drum-circle. Get there early in the day because parking goes quickly!

Liberty park is a great place for a walk or to sit and drink coffee or eat a meal. If you are traveling through town and need a place to get out of your car it's great. Tracy Avery is there if you want an outdoor education experience.

Really nice neighborhood park with lots of amenities and a nice paved loop trail. Clean. You can find families sledding on the hill in the park on a snowy day and tons of joggers and owners with their dogs at all hours everyday. Well trafficked park. There is also a section of the park where you will see people with all of their dogs playing. I wish there were more trash cans throughout the park but all in all the park is really nice.

Our favorite spot for walking & playing PokemonGo! The playground areas are fun for the kids in the warmer months. There is something for everyone here. Running, roller blading, hippy drum circles, summer splash pad, tables with built-in chess boards, volleyball area, gazebo/pond area, an out-of-service carnival, and even an aviary! The Tracy Aviary is all lit up for Christmas right now, looking beautiful! This is a local must-visit. Just use the bathroom before you get there. They are not well-maintained/cleaned, and in winter the Honey Buckets are often out of TP.

This park has to be one of the greatest gems here in Salt Lake City. There are so many things to do and explore within the park. There’s large fields for dogs to play, volleyball courts, tennis courts, a couple lanes for those running/rollerblading/walking/ and walking with pets. Highly recommend this place. I do have to say… recently there has been more homeless people there than usual.

Beautiful park. These photos are just a small part with beautiful flower beds. So much to see! Museum, pond, rides open seasonally, jogging trails, walking trails, so many trees, playgrounds, ball courts of various kinds, pool, etc. Check their web page, I'm sure I'm missing my list is missing things. Beautiful park! Very dog friendly.

Really popular place with the inner Salt Lake community. Nice running 🏃‍♂️ 🏃‍♀️ and walking trails, volleyball 🏐, basketball courts, and rollerblading. It's a perfect place to spend some time with all of your pets. 🐕 🐒🐼🦖🦕🐲🐉🦚 remember your pets, leashes!!! Wonderful environment for meditation🧘‍♂️ 🧘‍♀️. Very relaxing places full of trees and beautiful ponds full of a variety of birds 🐦. Excellent place for a quick picnic or STAY all day. This is a big park, and local vendors display and sell a variety of wonderful art and handy things. Please support these local vendors. They are trying to come out and make ends meet. You will be impressed by some of the workmanship and talent. 👍 Watch out for the squirrels. 👀

Went to see the laser show on 23 Jul...the laser show was phenomenal...what sucked? The park must of forgot to coordinate the light timer and they overheads came on during the middle of the laser show...pretty sure those are best viewed in the dark...come on Liberty Park...not a hard checklist item to remember.

Great place for events and park has a lot of facilities from the Aviation sanctuary to 2-3 parks scattered for kids to place on, bathrooms are okay but there in the center of the park. Only issue is parking sometimes is hard to come by.

  • 5/5 Marlina S. 10 months ago on Google
Liberty Park is a very beautiful 😍 place to visit with your family. We come here so our little ones can feed the ducks and run a round and get some energy out. The playground is very nice, and my kiddos really enjoy playing. The water splash is a bonus, too.

An absolutely amazing central park. It has everything. If I was close to their I would make it my home away from home, but I am in Eagle Mountain. I love the traffic control here, barriers to prohibit a complete circle to curb drive arounds...the prohibition of left turns on the 1300 exit. A well thought out plan.

Pretty park with a cool little museum, pond, and garden! Overall loved it, but way too many tweakers laying around.

  • 4/5 Jessica P. 8 months ago on Google
Fun place for the kids and family. A couple of attractions were unavailable so that was a bummer. We ate and played in the arcade mostly. The food was fine (pizza and nachos) and if you're out bowling, a robot will come bring your food which is pretty cool! Would be cool to have some discounts or specials, the arcade and the attractions get to be pretty expensive.

I was impressed by this well maintained city park. This is a massive park great for athletic people to go running, there are some tennis courts. There is a botanical garden too, an aviary with lots of plants and flowers. The pond is beautiful and nice to go on a walk by with family or your dog. I'd avoid the north side of the park where the homeless camp other than that the rest of the park is just beautiful.

Best city park. Hundreds of mature trees, tons of shade, duck pond, aviary, different types of walking surfaces, hill sledding in the winter for kids, and even adults can swing on the swingsets and watch the world go by.

There's always something interesting happening at LP. Drum circles every Sunday, Farmers market on Friday, trinket-vendors all the time. Beautiful gardens, water featutes, and all kinds of awesome photo opportunities if you're a photography kind of person. Not to mention the Aviary, who've recently let their admission prices down a little. If you go, say Hi to Andy the Condor (if he's still around) if you go at night, check out the spooky abandoned fairground and listen for the drummers on the hill top.

We love this park! Really spacious, wide sidewalks, great for bringing a baby in a stroller with a dog in the side. Lots of grassy areas to sit down for a picnic. Variety with the pond, the sculptures, the plants, etc.

This park is the biggest and most visited park in salt lake city. The bird aviary is one of the main attraction here. There are a large grounds suitable for outdoor games, like soccer, football... and there is basketball courts, volleyball sand/cement courts, horseshoe throwing. a large duck pond and specific areas for picnics with seating arrangements. There are tall trees were I love to set my hammock and enjoy the beautiful lush green grass contours. A series of walk ways connects various grounds and other areas, with a running are where you can run on concrete or mulch And is dog friendly. There is ample parking area.

Liberty park is always the best. I love the duck pond and the huge towering trees. There's a ton of diverse pathways. Awesome playgrounds. Lots of little knolls. It's a fun spot to hang out and roam for a few hours. Oh also the drum circle on Sundays is pretty cool.

Such an amazing park. You can LITERALLY do any thing here. You can walk, bike, run, skate, roll or whatever you feel around the park. It has volleyball courts that are super cool. Basket ball courts. Tennis courts. Soccer if wanted. Plus bbq pits and grills, park benches and picnic tables, plus pavilions for parties or gatherings, super fun kids playgrounds all over. Top it off with Tracy Aviary bird park. To get to see some pretty amazing birds. Check it out. You will LOVE it. So much you can enjoy here.
