Really good experience. The venue is incredible I mean from the outside it looks like a little hut but the inside is huge and the industrial look with the pop art really fits the personality of this place. Upon arrival we had to wait outside, as expected, as we wanted an early seat but once we got in we were seated immediately and our drinks came quickly and our appetizers came almost just as quick. We ordered 6 rolls which only took around 10 minutes to come out looking stunning. The flavors were immaculate, really hitting every taste bud. Would recommend!

I loved this place. I knew this had to be a good one because there's always a line and even more people waiting outside. The food was really good, I enjoy raw fish very much when it tastes fresh and high quality, the salmon and yellow tail were amazing. The tempura was really good and the rolls to die for, super tasty. I also enjoyed the Sake and beer options. Recommended.

I’ve visited multiple times with large to small groups and every time the experience has been consistently great. I’ve had their sushi, pho, entree bowls, and cocktails and every single dish has been delicious. Service is awesome, waiters are attentive and food delivery is quick. It’s worth coming to! The only downside is there really isn’t a reservation system for smaller parties but honestly they work well with getting as many people in as they can that the wait times are very limited. Otherwise Sapa delivers in providing a great dining experience!

Sapa is easily the best sushi you’ll find in Salt Lake City. I highly recommend their specialty “secret menu” rolls. But they also have plenty of vegetarian options as well as entrees if sushi is not your thing. Not only is the food great, the atmosphere is also top notch here. During the summer, the patio will transport you to a zen garden making you forget you’re in the middle of downtown. All together, Sapa makes for the perfect place to enjoy a drink and sushi with friends.

We started with the tempura shrimp which were excellent! They were incredibly crisp and the sauce was delicious. They were definitely the surprise hit of the meal. Our favorite roll of the night was the Mex. The crab in it was delicious, and the avocado gave the roll a nice creamy texture. It was a simpler roll, but we enjoyed it more than the busier rolls because it highlighted the individual ingredients more. To be clear, all of the rolls were delicious! Their ingredients are just so good that the simple rolls allow them to shine IMO. The restaurant was a bit chilly, so bring a jacket. It did take a long time for the rolls to be made, so be ready for a wait. I look forward to returning to try more of their rolls!

Sushi isn't typically my go-to, but man, I will go to this place any day! Everything was so fresh and yummy-- we did have to wait quite awhile to order and receive our food, but it was busy and isn't the point of going out to dinner to visit with each other?! Beautiful art all over the restaurant made the wait fun, super cool artistic environment.

So before I start, keep in mind that finding great sushi in the middle of the desert (SLC) is not the right expectation. The 5 stars I give here is based on good taste for a very reasonable price, but more importantly, in a swanky one-of-a-kind atmosphere in SLC. The restaurant perhaps is the most unique and exudes character from the entrance itself. There is no sign up front and almost looks like an abandoned warehouse. The inside is bustling. It's huge. Many tables. swanky interior. Upbeat music. Cheery crowd. Definitely not a family-friendly place but more for business meals and drinks. It's like a gastro-pub but with good sushi and rolls. Food is definitely not 5 stars. They taste good but overly reliant on sauces, sugar, and soy sauce. But again, for SLC standards, and considering it a fusion, my party had an absolute fantastic time. Prices are very reasonable, especially for the overall experience. Perfect place for a date night, getting the mood up. Will absolutely return!

“The Sapa restaurant is, without a doubt, one of my favorite places to enjoy authentic Asian cuisine, especially their incredible sushi rolls. Every time I visit Sapa, I’m amazed by the freshness and quality of their ingredients, creating flavors that transport me to Asia with every bite. Furthermore, the restaurant’s decor is simply charming. Every detail is carefully chosen to create a cozy and authentic atmosphere. However, here’s a valuable tip: don’t forget to make a reservation! The restaurant is very popular, and booking in advance ensures you’ll have the best available spot. Sapa remains my number one choice to satisfy my craving for high-quality sushi and Asian cuisine.”

Awesome food with cool ambiance and well priced for the quality and portion size. We had the filet appetizer, and two of the secret menu rolls and it was all excellent. Excited to come back and try more items on the menu!

It's a must try so many different flavors that combine well. Overall it was a great time, will definitely be back here when om on SLC again.

Really good sushi place! The food was good and it was timely as well. I love sushi and would come here again for sure. The things I would definitely recommend: short ribs, any salmon sushi, and the Cyprus roll. Overall, very impressed!

So I’m new to SLC and a coworker recommended Sapa to me. The first two time I came things were phenomenal, today I visited and I’m not as excited to come back again. The server took entirely too long to greet me that the host had to look for her twice before getting to me. I ordered A drink and app while I waited for Togo food. The Togo food came out before the drink or appetizer did. The appetizer can before the drink. At this point my entire meal came out backwards and I have none of the desire I had Originally to dine in. I then had to get up to get a sauce because it took so long for my server to come back my direction. And finally I was Given an out of date menu and the bill is $40 higher than the menus pricing. I don’t think I’ll be back as frequently as I had hoped this experience just wasn’t worth the $$ this time.

Wish I could show you the items I ordered but I inhaled them. I was so hungry when I got here! I had a lavender haze which is just a whisper of raspberry liquor and a Sunset roll, Tasmanian devil roll and the seaweed salad. All delicious.! I don’t know why I have never eaten on the patio because it looks lovely out there! Next time…

We decided to try this place after reading great reviews. Wait time was very lon for 2 (45 min). You can put your name on the waitlist and have a drink at a nearby bar or brewery while waiting. That was what we did. The restaurant was huge and completely full when we arrived. We had to shoulder people to move and approach to the host. You get a stamp at the entrance in addition to ID check if you'll drink as if this was a club. Service was OK. The appetizer plates on our table were not cleaned properly. We ordered a few sushi plates to share. All were very tasty and fresh. Food was good but the place was very loud, kind of a hipster and high energy place, definitely not for a relaxed dinner.

Love this place. The sushi is good, the service is great, and the atmosphere is a vibe. There are many choices. I have been for lunch as well as all you can eat sushi. You will leave full!

I love sushi and Japanese food. The fish has to be fresh. The food here was outstanding! Service was awesome. The restaurant opens at 5pm. Get there early, it's a popular place! I have Celiac and have to be gluten free, no problem!

Loved my experience at Sapa. The sushi and appetizers were all delicious. They have a big menu selection to pick from and an impressive lunch menu that offers pho as well. It’s a big space and can seat a lot of people but is very busy. I recommend showing up and reserving ahead of time. The surrounding area makes it difficult to find parking but there is also a paid parking lot next door but make sure you pay or you’ll get a ticket. Definitely will be back! Loved the environment and staff

We walked in and had to wait 30ish minutes for our table. Which is fine because it seemed like a well rated and popular restaurant. The service was also good. And the restaurant is clean and well decorated. But let’s get to the main thing- the food: how is it when compared to the wait time and price? Apps: Sashimi was good quality so phew! Calamari was not that good. It wasn’t well seasoned and had a hard and chewy texture. Can’t really describe it but it just wasn’t it. Sushi: We got the rainbow roll, samurai, and Tasmanian devil. The rolls were OKAY at best. Not amazingly yummy but not bad either. But that’s not really what I want after waiting that long or paying that price. I could get similar quality at a less nicer place. Noodles: ordered chicken vermicelli. This was great but also interesting! Wasn’t anything like authentic vermicelli noodles (the way it’s prepared at Vietnamese restaurants), which I guess it’s because this is a fusion restaurant, but tasted great! Surprisingly, the star tonight! Would I go back? Probably not. Should you visit? Yes! If not for the sushi then for the noodles and the ambiance. And perhaps they have better sushi on their menu than the ones we tried.

Amazing sushi, ambience, and service at Sapa! It sort of looks like a secret evil dungeon lair from the outside, but inside is filled with a wonderful world of sushi! There’s a fun, classy vibe inside and our server was extremely helpful in picking out rolls.

Such a great selection of sushi rolls! My hubby doesn't like sushi, so he ordered the drunken noodles. He said they were great. Our pork dumplings and edemame were delicious and my Maui Wowie roll was wonderful

What an experience especially for Salt Lake City. Coming from out of the area I lost little hope in finding good Japanese food until my visit here. Can get very busy so go for earlier dinner to enjoy the experience. Full bar beyond my needs, great beer selection. The menu alone is worth the visit the rest is icing.

Had a very great visit with friends and everything we ordered were so good. The rolls were really unique, and the tempura had a pretty great portion and tasted really good too. Also, highly recommend the firecracker calamari! The service was very attentive as well. Advice is to get here early to get your seats, the place gets busy really quickly!

Sapa is truly wonderful! It's super unassuming from the outside but once you step through the doors you are brought into a welcome and inviting dining space. There is a separated bar area where you have to be over 21 to dine and plenty of seating, yet always bustling (a sign of a great spot). The food is delicious! The fish is super fresh, the rolls are plentiful and also clearly constructed with really fresh ingredients. The service was lovely and the ambiance was super cool! Will definitely be coming back to get my sushi fix!

Loved the atmosphere and vibe from this restaurant! Came in and waited for a few minutes, but seated as soon as we got to the front. They asked if we would like to be seated outdoors or indoors, so we chose outdoors, and the view was spectacular! There is a cute area out back and a pond of fish. The Buddha's Delight was phenomenal as expected. I ordered the Black Dragon roll and it delighted every taste bud. Would recommend!
