It’s delicious. We ordered the Greek salad and the salmon De croute. The salmon was moist and in a French pastry. It came with a side of delicious and decorative mashed potatoes. The green grains and Greek salad had chickpeas, feta, tomatoes, olives, cucumber and fried cheese balls. So yum! The atmosphere is casual and comfortable. We didn’t get pastries but they look delicious and authentically French. The cheese balls and dressing have a little kick of spice.

We had not had a great start to our trip... we came from Texas where we like alot of flavor and this was our last meal in Utah. This place gave us wonderful memories and a wonderful experience. The staff was so sweet. That is hard to come by these days. We were more than satisfied with everything we ate. If we lived in town this would most definitely be our date spot. Thank you for a wonderful end to our trip!

A little bit of France right here in Salt Lake City! I took my wife here for breakfast to celebrate our 9 year wedding anniversary and it was perfect! The food, the atmosphere and the service was awesome! The crème brûlée oatmeal was delicious! I highly recommend giving that a try - delicious and filling. We were excited to try their intriguing twists on mimosas, but we were there on a Monday around 10:30am and they don’t serve alcohol until 11:30am on the weekdays - so, if you want to enjoy some drinks with your breakfast, I would suggest going on a weekend morning. Although, the restaurant was very quiet on a Monday morning which was very nice. Anyway, check this place out! It’s awesome!

This bakery came into our radar when someone had mentioned in the reviews the word, “divine” now little did we know we had walked into the holy grail of bread, to be specific I’m talking about the croissants… we got their almond croissant, and only way I can describe the taste. Divine… The service here wasn’t the best but I won’t knock it since it happens from time to time. Meg just never came to check if we needed water or check on us I would highly recommend you come check out this spot with friends or a date to keep it intimate! I live four hours away and if I’m ever in town I will come back!! So good I had to bring some for my family!

Gourmet indeed! Had breakfast with my wife here and it was delicious and well presented. Our excellent server brought us avocado toast on gluten free bread, and gluten free oatmeal creme brulee, and it was fabulous. The pastries in the display case looked so inviting, so we tried a gluten free almond horn and (no surprise) it was yummy! Another solid gluten free choice in Salt Lake City. HIGHLY recommended

It’s a hit and miss at this place. We have good and bad experiences. The fries that was served to us tasted reheated and soggy. The desserts are delectable and tasted freshly baked/made. We love trying different pastries here.

I cannot recommend the bakery enough! Living in Utah for 5 years now, I ALWAYS come back for their fruit tarts again and again. They are consistent and incredibly delicious! Pictured is a Mixed Fruit Tart, a Pistachio Raspberry Tart, and a Strawberry Ring. This place gets busy but worth it every time! There is an option to sit in the restaurant or outside for any meal. There are plenty of options on their menu. It’s an adorable cafe and everything you want it to be!

Easily one of my favorite places to eat at. Great service, delicious food and a magnificent atmosphere. I have never had a bad experience here and the staff has always been wonderful. It is my go to place any time I have plans Downtown.

Our server kaylaeh was super nice and went above and beyond. Would recommend to anyone who's looking for a trouble free night out. We had made an ordering mistake because of someone with an allergy in our party, and she took care of it no questions asked. Amazed with the service. Would recommend 10/5 Get the French onion soup.

This cute little brunch location is a great place for a small meal. The workers were very friendly and the food came out quick. We had the panini and the grilled cheese which tasted fantastic, alongside the tomato soup. The grilled cheese is made also with blueberries, which is a pretty obscure taste, but it tasted so good! We skipped dessert, but there are a plethora of choices from the bakery section. I hope to come back and try it!

I had an absolutely fantastic dining experience here! The food was exquisite. My burger was juicy, the coleslaw was to die for, the fries sucked. They were bottom of the barrel end of the evening. My wife's butternut squash pasta was great. The noodles seemed homemade. The Brussels sprouts were Devine. The spicy pumpkin spice, chai latte was amazing. the flavors that danced on my taste buds. The service was impeccable; the staff was attentive and knowledgeable. The ambience was the cherry on top, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Five stars all the way!

Service here is phenomenal, it’s like being treated at an expensive restaurant without the expensive part. I got a classic alfredo which was delicious and afterwards ordered a passion fruit cake slice (we also got a raspberry fruit cake slice) and it personally wasn’t my favorite but good nonetheless! Great French cafe that isn’t like anywhere else!

We ate there a couple of times and the food was great! Not to mention their desserts that are even better! Very friendly and attentive staff. They have a beautiful outdoor patio where they allow dogs (thank you!). They have also some specials but the menu gives you plenty of options, included vegetarian. If you use the parking lot in the back, be careful because the spots on the left are reserved for the restaurant only in the evening. Unfortunately we got a ticket as we didn’t see the sign. Absolutely recommended for a meal or simply for a quick dessert.

This may be our favorite restaurant in Salt Lake City! Everything we’ve ever ordered has been amazing, and the atmosphere is a lot of fun! The food is all reasonably priced for the quality. The only caution I would offer is about the cheesecake; it’s not bad, but it doesn’t compare to a lot of other places.

Absolutely loved Gourmandise! The food was delicious and well priced, the service was quick and careful and the pastries were very good! We got the tri tip and the brisket grilled cheese and both had us wanting more. We will definitely come back!

Thier pastries were amazing. People always recommend the macaroons so I tried them and wow, they do live up to the hype. I also tried a hazelnut cheesecake and it was wonderful as well. For dinner I had a French dip. I thought I would like the onion jam but it was a little overpowering so I took it off. The chips they serve with the french dip are top tier. I probably won't come here for dinner again but I will come here for pastries.

Love the deserts but it seems that some of their food is taking a hit. We had the steak medallions and those were ok, both of the pasta dishes were also average. The curry salad sandwich was actually good and definitely recommend the frites and brussels sprouts.

Desserts were OK. Most of them were out. We did come at 9:30 PM. It was really busy. Service was great! I don’t get what the big fuss about this place but gave it a try

I cannot say enough good things about this place! I have been here many times and definitely one of my preferred restaurants in the SLC area. They always have freshly cooked food and good energy about the place. Staff seems to always be attentive and checking in on customers to make sure they’re enjoying their meal and in need of anything more. 10/10 recommend

I got the brioche French toast and it was absolutely delicious! The servings are generous I could have shared it's with someone. All the choices looked delicious. They let us even bring our little doggy to eat out on the patio and brought a little bowl of water for him to sit down under the table. Very kind and warm reception and waiter. Highly recommend

The restaurant was pretty busy when we arrived at 8pm but we were seated immediately. - Kids meal - flat bread with cheese: the cheese pizza was good. It was very cheesy and the crust was crispy. It came with a bowl of grapes and a drink (chocolate milk). Perfect portion for a kid - Turtle bread pudding: when I ordered, the server asked if I want my bread pudding to be heated and I said yes. When getting my order, the server asked one more time and I said yes. However, when it arrived the bread pudding was cold. I didn't bother to ask our server again as I couldn't fetch her for some time. The bread pudding was very chocolaty & decadent. It tasted good for the first few bites but overtime, it was too sweet for me. The piece was big and it was good for sharing. Overall, the food was good but the dessert was too sweet for me. Would love to try other dessert menu when we come back.

I really like this place, but this time the cakes I tried I didn’t like too much. The red velvet was just white chocolate; I couldn’t feel the chocolate flavor in the red part. The tiramisu wasn’t sweet The fruit tart at Smith’s tastes better. I really love the passion fruit mousse, but this time I tried something different and it didn’t work out.

I was walking around downtown Salt Lake City when my Parkinson’s started barking at me. It wanted some meds, coffee, something to eat, and a break in our walking. About 10 steps later I found myself in front of Gourmandise! What a pleasant discovery. I was seated quickly and was able to get water and a coffee right away. They had a wonderful menu of Sunday brunch items. I just wanted something from the display case. I recovered from my Parkinson’s barking and continued my walk. The item I picked from the display case was a bit over the top. I forgot to take a picture until I was well into eating my chocolate on chocolate on chocolate. I did take a picture. All in all it was a very pleasant experience.

Big portions of food - service a little slow We quite enjoyed our breakfast here recently on our road trip from Atlanta to Salt Lake City. The portions were large. The food was relatively good - I've had better quiche elsewhere. The service was a little slow since the server seemed to be the your personal barista too. She did make great coffee though! We ordered their pommes frites, croissant breakfast sandwich, quiche du jour and the croque madame. Everything except the quiche was very good and well presented. The service was friendly. if we lived in Utah we would definitely go back.

Been here a few times as we traveled from San Francisco. This place is excellent for desserts, truly outstanding, but not for lunch/dinner items in my opinion. We still have to try brunch here though.

Gourmandise is SO far off the charts - rating with stars alone isn’t enough! Thank you for making my wife’s birthday cake very very special- you filled our hearts with JOY! Thank you for being the very best! The chocolate mouse cake is divine! Bravo!!! Let the celebrations begin! 🎉🥳👏🎊🙌🍾

Delicious! Great customer service, fast, and they were so friendly. The pastries and cakes were amazing, and I couldn’t help but take two home with me. I felt welcomed in this restaurant with my boyfriend and they seemed excited to have us dining with them. I will be returning with friends for sure!
