Our room wasn't really clean. I found dog hair under my pillow in the middle of the night. The bathroom had the smell of hint of puke when steamy. The pool area and work out rooms were also used during our stay. They were in good repair. The Steakhouse Spencer's Steaks and Chops, is worth the visit. Great food and service. The doorman was great. The woman checking us in acted like she had better things to do and didn't want to take the time to address the issue with the hotel credit that we had. The hotel management that I was told to call and leave a massage with never returned my call. Its down town and close to things. That being said there is a lot of crime down town and the area is not safe. We visit the area 2 to 4 times per year. The Hilton does fine without our business and can continue to do well without our presence. We will not return.

I’m really impressed with the customer service and amenities of this hotel. A few friends and I stayed here a couple nights to be close to the downtown area. It is really easy to get around from this location and is within walking distances to many restaurants and bars. The hotel itself is really nice with a couple of restaurants and a Starbucks within it. There’s even a rental car center within the hotel for those who need to rent cars. There is a parking garage beneath the hotel with its own separate elevators. Four elevators operate all of the floors of the building which is a teen stories high. When we checked in, we were graciously given a complementary upgrade to a larger room on the top floor with a fantastic view of the mountains. One issue is that the hallway outside our room is extremely warm in temperature. The rooms themselves have no issues temperature wise. There is a massive and well-kept indoor pool on the second floor of this hotel. The fitness center is split into two sections, one for cardio and one for weights, and these rooms are also located inside the pool area. The parking garage below the hotel is really easy to get in and out of, however, finding spots is extremely tough as massive pillars in the garage block many parking spaces from being accessible. Overall, this is a great hotel if you’re looking for a good location in the city.

There are so many options. Please choose a different one. I've been in Hilton diamond member for 4 years. Decided to stay at the Hilton City center for my second time. This unfortunately was a mistake. The rooms are decent. The gym in the pool are great. Spencer's is fantastic and the service is amazing. With that being said, Spencers could not overcome f the issues that I had during my stay. There was some miscommunication about my diamond benefits and the front desk person did not care one bit that there was miscommunication. Secondly, they automatically add gratuity which is okay at a high-end restaurant. I fully understand that. However, I had the breakfast buffet which had powdered eggs and under cooked bacon and I was told on Mondays and Tuesdays this is the only option. This was $24 per person and as a diamond member they would cover half of that. On top of that they added gratuity in which I never really had any one visit my table other than to bring me water because it was a buffet. 2 stars.

Staff was very nice; our room was clean and quiet. I had two issues with the hotel. 1. One of the workout rooms was like working out in a sauna. Heat was being pumped in like the rest of the hotel but there was no exit in the tiny room, and it was right next to the pool. A fan would be very beneficial. 2. The hot tub desperately needs to be drained and cleaned more often. Hot tubs foam because of by-products from humans like skin, lotions, hair products, etc. No amount of chlorine can fix that. I would have loved to enjoy the hot tub during our two night stay, but it was way too gross the entire weekend.

The rooms are very ordinary for a hotel. Nothing very nice or special about it. We did overhear a complaint about mold but we didn't have any issues. Parking is hard to come by if you don't want to pay the $22 for the garage located at the hotel. The location is fantastic and central to many amenities.

So I am still here, waiting to leave tonight. This hotel is by far the worst in its class. For example: No cleaning service is being provided. Not even garbage removal. You need to specifically request it. So I did. Guess what, nobody showed up. We've been here 3 nights so far. The bathroom is very old and pretty filthy with its shower curtain (!) and shower head not removable. Next comes food. You can only have coffee till 12 noon, after that Starbucks closes and there is no coffee, no food, nothing. They have no bar either. It's a real disaster. You leave your room in the morning and see piles of food takeout leftovers left outside of other rooms' doors. The corridors smell like cheap fast food places. The restaurant on the premises is closed on Sundays. You need to make lunch and dinner reservations ahead of time, otherwise the wait is over an hour to most restaurants. Hotel is helpless here. I stayed in a lot of Hiltons during pandemic inclusive, and in third world countries. This one is by far the worst.

As a Diamond member with the Hilton brand there are things I’ve come to expect when staying with them. I travel multiple cities weekly and appreciate any sort of concessions the locations have to offer. This Hilton is in the heart of downtown Salt Lake City. It’s within an easy walk to neighboring restaurants, entertainment/sports venues, and shopping. Overnight parking is $25. As a Diamond member I am given a $15 voucher for breakfast. That gives you a yogurt and orange juice. Continental breakfast is $19 - fruit, yogurt, granola, hard boiled egg, cereal and croissants. Buffet is $26- variety of eggs, French toast, meats, omelets. This is an older hotel and it shows. Service staff is friendly, hot water is on demand and works and lasts well. Beds are a little bouncy, but not horrible. HVAC system works as it should. Television has a nice host of channels. Nice indoor pool- a little chilly but was good to swim for a little while. I’d stay here again when I am in town.

We stayed in a big suite for 4 day currently finishing day two. first day no room cleaning because they finally got to our room well after 1pm and we had to get ready for an event so we asked feont desk if they could come earlier the next day she said we can’t schedule but come tomorrow morning and we will get it set up. Go day two mornings and said are we able to get our clean room clean as we have no towels, she said we clean the rooms that have guest coming first so we will get to it before 4! I said this does not work for us she said well we do the guest leaving first. So here we are paying 1000$ a night with towels on the floor and no coffee no clean sheets!!! I wash my sheets every two days at home pretty terrible I can’t get that in a hotel! Save your money lots of better hotels around

All and all it is just another downtown hotel. Staff are friendly. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Views are nice and parking is easy. Easy access to downtown. I have stayed here around 6 nights a year for over 10 years. I keep coming back so that must stand for something worthwhile. Better than the Plaza, Marriott downtown, and the Radassen. Radassen wins for Delta Center events.

I expected a 4-star hotel, it was a little but over 3. The house keeping personnel were hard-working and respectful, the front desk personnel though, were not very attentive. For instance I asked about car rental companies around the hotel, which they replied that I can use Avis in the location. Cool, but when I asked if there were alternatives around the hotel, The person said I can Google it. Really? Yes, you need to ask for garbage removal and other room services. I did and they did show up. My room’s view was obscured partially by another tall building. The room was clean.

Stayed overnight for a company event. We will not be back. The front desk check-in process started the bad experience as the man at the counter was simply unfriendly. The issues continued in our room, where we found an extremely dirty air filter blocking the air flow from the air conditioner. Our room was uncomfortably hot the entire stay. Our dinner was "bumped" by an hour unexpectedly, with 50 people waiting around the hotel lobby. The ONE bar in the hotel is by reservation only, and of course, they had none available for us. The banquet rooms are plain, with bad wifi service available for use (with 50 people expected to have service to work). The food served for our meals wasn't the best. When we were told we had until 3 to use the conference room our last day, we were told at 2 that our parking wouldn't be validated as promised/included, and we were all expected to pay for our parking fees. After a bit of work, we were released from the parking garage by a Hilton employee.

Pleasant, peaceful, one night stay. The Hilton is a large, high-rise, established, mature, full service hotel in the center of downtown Salt Lake City. You cannot beat this perfect, central location, close to many popular events, venues, shopping and restaurants. My colleagues and I spent one day and night in Salt Lake City on a business trip. The hotel is clean and well maintained. The hotel's high-rise facilities include all the amenities, features and services one would expect from the Hilton Brand and a full service hotel. My guestroom was average in size and was very clean, quiet and comfortable. My guestroom included a mini refrigerator, large flat screen TV and a nice view of downtown Salt Lake City. However, this is not a new property and the guestroom furniturings were a little worn. Although my bathroom was clean and adequate for my stay, upgrades and remodeling would be welcomed. If you have a business or leisure trip planned for Salt Lake City, the Hilton Hotel would make an excellent choice!

I gave it one star since comfort inn is a 2 star hotel. We stayed one night at the comfort inn then moved to the Hilton for convenience of the rental car. They have almost the exact same rooms and set up down too the same beds and sheets! The only difference is Hilton is alittle over a $100 a night more and does not have free breakfast like the comfort inn. Comfort inn was a bit cleaner as well! Only positive of Hilton was the Bellhop when we came in, he was super helpful and nice.

This hotel is fine....not 4 stars. It is shabby and needs quite a makeover. Rooms are dated and shabby. Tub drain SO slow. Comfy bed. So many homeless outside everywhere. As a woman here on business alone, i was not comfortable leaving the hotel. Nice staff, just not a 4 star hotel or worth the money.

Fairly standard hotel that seemed relatively clean. However, the hotel is beginning to show it's age. The bathroom ceiling is beginning to crumble due to years of humidity (no vent fan in the bathroom) and there is mold growing in the bathtub grout. The toilet paper rolls in the bathroom both had less than half a roll left with no replacement rolls. There are no microwaves in the rooms, but there is a communal one in the front desk area. The pool area seems like the nicest part of the hotel. The gym area is a typical hotel gym. The hotel is in a fairly centralized location close to plenty of eateries, pubs, attractions, and public transportation. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the Hilton app didn't work for keyless entry during my stay, however the physical key wasn't a problem. Check in and out were effortless through the app. That being said, I probably should have stopped by the front desk as I have 6 different charges totalling over $2,500 for a $800 stay. Additionally I opted for the extra Hilton points rather than meal credits during the check in process and the points have yet to post..

Absolutely the best hotel I have ever stayed in! The hallways smelled like Paris Hilton's perfume, the front desk and concierge people were very friendly and helpful. The steakhouse was absolutely delicious! The beds and pillows were soft as clouds! Everything was clean and fresh! The towels were big enough to wrap around and not show. The pool area was clean and provided towels that weren't hand towels! Parking was easy! And there was never really a wait for elevators. My fire alarm started beeping and they fixed it right away! The only complaint I have is the room didn't get cold enough. But I like my house freezing when I sleep! Other than that, it was perfect! I told my husband I will be staying at Hiltons from now on!

Does not clean rooms daily or provide towel service, leaving rooms very dirty To put things in context, I have traveled extensively for 20 years, and at this point, I am what is considered a lifetime diamond. It is very baffling to me how hotel leadership has decided to clean rooms LESS, after we have gotten through a pandemic. We are told everywhere to clean more, but not so much in some hotels. I n a hotel, we go into a room that was just stayed in by NUMEROUS total strangers. Who knows how clean they were, but we depend on the hotel owners to keep our rooms sanitary. Cleaning a room helps sanitize it. By cleaning it every day, we stand a better chance of not picking up bacteria, virus, or disease. Yet to save money, they are only servicing these rooms every so days, OR only by request, if you are staying there more than a day. This is irresponsible and wrong. They do not even provide daily towel service. Really? I have to call and ask to get fresh towels? The alternative is to leave wet used towels in the room which also breeds more bacteria. I have a team that travels and I want my team healthy and well. And while cleanliness is impressed upon us everywhere we go, hotels continue to get dirtier. I have found more hair from previous stays, dirt, and nastiness with these rules than in my entire career traveling. I have been taking pictures of these things I find and providing them to the front desk, but at some hotels, it seems to make no difference. I think more people should leave these reviews to encourage hotels to clean our rooms and keep us safe from viruses and sickness, AND from just being in a nasty room! I don't like being in a nasty room!

I had a wonderful experience staying at this hotel. The staff was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to ensure my comfort throughout my stay. The rooms were clean, spacious, and tastefully decorated, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. Additionally, the hotel's convenient location made it easy to explore the surrounding area. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for a fantastic stay.

We stayed in a Presidential Suite, and while large it wasn't as luxurious as I had hoped. The sink on the wet bar and the kitchen had faucets that broke apart easily and were hard to turn off. The hot tub was only about a degree or two warmer than the pool. I reported this to the front desk but no action was taken. The pool was also barely heated, which didn't make it that much fun to play in. The $25/day parking fee on top of the room rate was a little excessive. Finally, the mattress was very firm and hard to sleep on. I called the front desk and they put a "topper" on it which helped. Again, I would have expected more from a "presidential suite" mattress.

Perfect location if you're hanging out at or near the convention center. About a 15-minute drive from and to the airport. Customer service was okay. Hilton has really slipped since covid, and I don't foresee them getting back to daily cleaning. There was no executive room, and if you're a member who receives meal credits, the gift store has limited hours, and the steak restaurants will gobble up that credit fast. Restaurant food was okay. Nothing to write home about. :-( Management was nice enough to upgrade my room. A little dated furniture, but the room was clean, and the front desk addressed any concerns rather quickly.

Not a bad place to stay. Breakfast was $26 for the buffet + tax, fees, tip. I'm not cheep but know when I'm being taken advantage of. The meeting group I was with had some issues with the hotel. Hotels have just not been the same since COVID.

The name on my account is that of a former friend I once booked a room for. Apparently this cannot be fixed. I was booked into an occupied room! Walked right into a room someone else was using! I was given another room, and was told the parking fee would be waived. It was not. The pool hours and both restaurants were very good though, so there was that. And housekeeping was attentive to the needs of me and my guest

I travel for a living and I was underwhelmed by the cleanliness in the room. I was unfortunately met with long strands of hair in the sink and surprisingly all over the bathroom ceiling (see pic & video). I have very short hair thus I would never. It was unsightly to say the least. I would've changed rooms but I only had a 1 night stay. The saving grace for my rating was Spencer's Steakhouse inside the hotel.

Check in was very quick and easy and the rooms were great. My only criticism is on the parking and parking garage elevator. The elevator shook like crazy and seemed very unsafe(unlike the one in the hotel which was sturdy and very fast). The parking is also a bit scary. Apart from that, a very lovely stay.

We went there for a conference - the meeting rooms are nice and did not really interact with the personnel except to ask where to park my bike (in the parking structure underneath). My wife tried to park under there, but we have an SUV and the clearance is only 6.5 feet, which was not enough for her vehicle. Otherwise the event was great.

Don’t leave behind anything you care about here! You might never see it again. I accidentally left one of my favorite hoodies about a month and a half ago in my room, and the hotel has not been helpful at all. I know for a fact where I left it because I realized I took it off and put it on my bed overnight and in the morning I flipped the sheets and comforter over top of it so I didn’t see it when I did my final pack. Worst part is it was cream so only a shade darker than the bed sheets and comforter. But I thought no big deal, I’m sure the hotel can ship it to me. I can pay for shipping for my error. Wrong! I called that day … no one answers the phone ever unless you are willing to wait 15 minutes on hold at minimum . (I noticed this because before my trip I also was never able to get through to anyone when I was calling just to ask basic questions about breakfast, check in, etc ) anyway, called the next day same thing. I waited forever finally someone tells me they’ll text me a link to fill out a report. I take the time to fill out this extensive report, I was very detailed exactly what room I was in where it was left, etc. I get an email within a week that it was not found. I tried to call back two more times no one answers, final time after waiting 15 mins to get through I asked can someone from security or housekeeping please call me back. “Oh sure no prob” . Yea no one ever did. I worked at a hotel for 8 years and I know it doesn’t have to be this complicated.

We got there early just to park our cars. There is a sign that says you need a parking permit so I went in to get ours. Turns out you don’t need one. The lady at the front desk was super friendly and very helpful. She actually was able to check us in early! It’s walking distance to a lot of places so that was nice. However the WIFI was not working the time we were there. (Only 1 night) Also by the time we headed down to the 24hr pool it was out of order. It was not fixed before we left. Also the guy working breakfast was rude to my kids so they were upset. Check out wasn’t until 12 so that was nice. The room was clean and spacious.

The fire alarm went off at 1145pm and had to go down 11 flights of stairs due to being on the 11th floor. Once we got to the front of the hotel there was no staff outside telling us what was going on. Feeling afraid and confused. The front desk clerk was checking someone in with no urgency or explanation if we could return to our rooms or if it was a false alarm. We were instructed to go back to our rooms. And when we got back to the 11th floor we smelled smoke. I called the front desk they sounded the alarm again we went back downstairs via the elevator and the fire department was finally on scene. They were the ones who told us about an incident on the 12th floor. Again no staff around. Very disappointed in the lack of urgency or comfort and communication and presence of hotel staff.

Perfect location as it is walking distance from most attractions in SLC. I worked out in the gym and soaked in the hot tub. The rooms were clean. We had a great stay!

I had my worst hotel experience here. If you need/want to use their services, LEAVE!!!! They just want you to be quiet, ask for nothing and leave. The cleaning crew does not do anything to clean the room, didn't even bother to pick up the dirty towel. And the hotel does not care and said it was our fault. The employee there is rude and has no respect whatsoever. The only nice thing here is that the front desk is nice. They deserve to work somewhere better. There are plenty of hotels around the area, don't stay here.

  • 3/5 Raquel B. 11 months ago on Google
Room was big, I loved how different spaces where integrated so you could have a rest and a work area separately. Bed was incredibly comfy, I also loved the pillows. Bathtub was a bit old and not that comfortable. In general terms the hotel feels a little bit old fashioned and might need a renovation

Not a good place to stay. Our shower had mildew and the AC barely blew air. We complained to the front desk and their response was just “Sorry.” Not great customer service unless you’re a part of a conference going on there or a Diamond member. Also beware that even though they are “pet friendly” there is no grass around the hotel or nearby for your pet to go to the bathroom. Also there is an additional $22 charge to park in their parking garage, and no available free parking around their hotel. For almost $300 you can definitely stay in a better hotel.

  • 1/5 DeeAnna B. 1 year ago on Google
I stayed here for 1 night with my husband and child. We paid for a 400 dollar room and they couldn't figure out why the HVAC was blowing cold air, it was warmer in the hall ways then in our room.... so they had us move to another room claiming it was an "upgrade" it was absolutely Not an upgrade!! The pull out bed had rice bits in it and a stained mattress, the bathroom was way smaller, there was tape on the wall. So I told the front desk we will not be staying in this room and we went back to our original, cold room but at least it was CLEAN. They said they would bring more blankets.. We stayed in room 1819 it's right by the elevators.... I didn't get a goodnight sleep at all, hearing those elevators the whole night was terrible. The front desk gave us a free breakfast and free 25 dollar parking but that's it. My husband doesn't even eat breakfast so it was very frustrating moving rooms with my child and this happened at 10:30 at night. We won't be staying here, it wasn't helpful for my family.

This is one of our favorite places to visit. The room was very clean, quiet, and the bed & pillows were very comfortable. The chef, Haydar, made our wedding anniversary extra special with a special dessert of an incredibly delicious butter cake topped with fresh made vanilla ice cream & huckleberries. Breakfast was full of delicious flavors. My husband ordered the western omelette & I choose the avocado toast. Everything about this location, from the genuine kindness from the staff to the amenities of an indoor pool keeps us coming back often.

Great hotel. Staff seemed a little over extended during our stay which frankly is to be expected given when we stayed. They all stay positive and tried their best though. We appreciated them all and enjoyed our stay.

Nice classic property in the heart of downtown. Well maintained property. Restaurant food was good but decore is dated. Decent breakfast buffet. Nice pool and adequate fitness facilities. Bizarre automated curtains in the rooms. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Stayed for our doTERRA convention and the location was awesome. Worked out a few times in the fitness rooms which were better than majority of hotels I’ve stayed in. The fridge was broken which was the only downside. The manager at the front desk, Jim, was outstanding. He took it personal to be accommodating, friendly and attentive. I would stay there again just because of how friendly and professional Jim and the staff were!

Very pleasant stay! I enjoyed my time at this property, staff was very nice and we got a room upgrade to the 18th floor! Location is very convenient for getting around. The only thing I didn’t like was that the bar said open daily until 11, we tried to go in at 9:55 and the staff told us it closed at 10 on Sundays. Maybe a sign just needs some updates?! He did recommend a bar across the street and we had a great time there!

Location is great but to be honest, the room wasn’t the cleanest. Hair on pillows (luckily I bring my own pillow case and sheets), bathroom wasn’t really clean either. The room didn’t get cooler than 70 and I woke up in a sweat. For a Hilton property it’s pretty old and dated and in need of an upgrade. Wouldn’t recommend

I enjoyed my stay here. The room was very clean, king bed comfortable, the staff were welcoming as well. They had 2 fitness rooms, with a pool an jacuzzi. I only got in the jacuzzi my last night an it was so relaxing. Thank you for making my visit to Utah a great one!
