I hate haunted houses because I get scared so easily but I somehow had a good time here. I was definitely scared multiple times but not so scared that I was dying. Some good jump scares, some scary moments where it's pretty dark. Definitely was extremely dizzy at one point, pr9bably my favorite point. Definitely worth the money. It wasn't too crowded. Perfect amount of people there. It definitely would've been more scary if no one was behind us. Make sure you look on their website, you can find a coupon code for $4 off!

I have been to a lot of haunted houses over the years and Iv worked with practical effects on films. This was the most awesome haunt I have ever experienced!!! The effects, sets, scenes, props were all beautiful and looks amazing! This place left me and my friends in total awe. Every detail was extremely thought out! It took almost an hour to go through and I wanted more! Amazing!!! Just amazing!!! Well done!

This was a ton of fun! I was very concerned about it having tons of gore and partial nudity. My only experience in a haunted house is Lagoon's horrible haunted houses that are full of partial nudity, torture scenes and gore. However, i was extremely shocked to find very little if any gore and absolutely ZERO women being tortured in lingerie. It was actually opposite of what I expected. It was more about the beautiful sets and decorations and amazing jump scares. The workers go above and beyond to give you a fun and scary experience. I highly recommend it to anyone who has been hesitant to go to one of these. It is very family friendly, but just know that everyone will get a ton of jump scares and come out laughing from joy. My 12 year old daughter was terrified, but had a total blast. There was nothing we felt we had to cover her sensitive eyes in. Each room got better and better.

THE BEST HAUNTED HAUNTED ๐Ÿ‘ป EVER!! My friend and I were in town for Fan X and we were so happy the haunt was open in September! I was so impressed with all of it! We got the combo ticket for the main attraction and the asylum add on. I am so glad we did both! The main house was huge and took probably 40 minutes or so to complete. The design is IMPECCABLE. It's very gothic and moody and really sets a good spooky vibe throughout the whole thing. It looks like a movie set, with attention to every small detail. Many animatronics, and large installations. You go through gothic cathedrals, graveyards, swamps, an ice cream truck, a cave and more. The asylum was super cool and really sets a serious mood that you are in an old asylum . There is a lot of pitch darkness in it so be advised if you have issues in the dark. But wow it was fantastic. The actors did a great job, and in addition to the typical jump scares, talked to you and told you stories of their tragedy. It was really the best haunted house I have ever been to and I would consider going back to SLC to go another year. So awesome!

This place has come a long way since I went years ago. The courtyard is a great touch, it's fun watching other people get scared on the big screens while waiting in line, and the atmosphere is great. At the risk of sounding like a "tough guy", I don't get scared at haunted houses. Having said that, it is very fun going with people who do. My sister and I went with our oldest daughters (one each, not together. Weirdos). And they do get scared, a lot. The costumes were great, the cast did a good job, and the decorations and props were incredible. Go here either to get scared, or admire a job well done.

Scream Break was absolutely fantastic!! Nightmare on 13th had a lot of new scares. They have definitely raised the bar on haunts in Utah. The haunt was lengthy and had many different types of experiences, including optical illusions, big high quality animatronics, creepy background sound effects, different floor textures, spooks on ceiling above, air and water sprays and of course the creepy costumed live characters that did such a great job!! Well done Nightmare on 13th. Thanks to your great staff who made the experience so fun.

So i went to the day haunt, it was so much fun even for a scaredy cat like me. There were a few rooms I panicked in, but staff was there when we really needed help. The staff was really nice, helpful, and respectful. And your pumpkin head guy was absolutely amazing 10/10

My wife and I are from Oregon, we have never been to any haunted house so amazing. There are to many things to list that made it so awesome. If you want an amazing haunted experience this is the place!!!! The actors and animation are out of this world. We did both the general admission and the Institute of terror! It was almost more than we could handle it felt like we were never getting out. The smells in each room made it so real. We went to other haunts in the area but this one is the best by far!!! If we could give it more than 5 stars we would!!!

Came all the way from Arizona for this haunted house & it did not disappoint! The details & animatronics were amazing. It took about 30-40 minutes to get through & was definitely worth the money. The staff was kind & helpful, & the actors had awesome makeup. 10/10 recommend if youโ€™re thinking about going!

I use to love this haunted house in my teenage years. Now Iโ€™m an adult, and it was time to take my kids to their first haunted house, and nightmare on 13th did not disappoint. Great haunted house. Awesome actors, we had so much fun!

Went for the frights, stayed for the scares, left because I couldnโ€™t stop screamingโ€ฆ 10/10 would recommend to an annoying coworker that I wanted to torture. This place had lots of jump scares, fun actors in the parking lot to mingle with and trinkets to buy afterwards. Was a little expensive but fully worth the cost for โ€œfamilyโ€ time. Also, the porta-potties were remarkably clean. Given we went on opening night for the season right as it opened, but still surprised!

Took my girlfriend to her first official haunted house here at Nightmare on 13th. We were both so happy and excited. The actors outside were interactive and even friendly while keeping us entertained. We definitely got some good spooks inside the haunt but had to slow our pace down a little as the group in front of us kept getting all the scares towards the beginning. While I do miss the nightmare preshow, I love the new sets and will keep returning to Nightmare for another round.

Extremely crowded. Packed everyone in through the haunted house so close you're bumping into each other. Too many animatronics, too few actors. The sets are awesome, everything looks great, but again, way too packed on Saturday. Everything was humid and wet... Go on a less busy day for the best value. The second attraction was awesome when you could see anything, but extremely dark and hard to figure out where to go. It's mostly just dark hallways that you have to feel your way around. Oh, and squishy floors.

I took my 11 year old son on the โ€˜Day Hauntโ€™ and it was perfect! He loves Halloween but is a big scaredy cat and this hit the spot for him. The atmosphere and props are next level!!! Itโ€™s seriously so great. Itโ€™s a long haunted house so it took a good 30 mins to walk through it. Loved it and it made for a great Halloween adventure!

This place was amazing! The line moved pretty steady, and when I went in with my friends it was so fun. They did such a good job! The jump scares are great, and they did an awesome job at making everything look soooo creepy/scary. Will be going back next year!

Our favorite haunted house for the season! We've been back 3 years running and it's a great place. They added a new attraction, the institute of terror is amazing as well! We actually liked it a little bit more even.

Have gone 2 years in a row now. Always have a great scare. We always get the VIP red carpet tickets. So worth it. One of the characters joked with my daughter as we waited. Very engaging and fun. We had a blast.

Great haunted house. Lots of cool things to see. The live actors part was awkward at times as they would get really close to you and try to scare you, but was more awkward than scary. But all in all a great place if you like haunted houses.

Both the animatronics and the actors were terrific! My youngest was 8 years old and loved it. The photos are overpriced so we didn't end up getting those, but there are lots of opportunities for selfies with various props and some actors in the courtyard before entering. We paid for the institute terror as well and that was significantly shorter and a bit underwhelming after the main attraction. Overall the kids loved the experience. We will likely attend again.

5-star all the way. There was a healthy balance of actors and animatronics. I think we jumped more from the animatronics! Also great utilization of different senses including sight and sound. I wonโ€™t give away details to not spoil it but the tunnel and the wall are by far the most trippy. Also great addition of a second attraction which looked busy as well. You guys are a staple in SLC and we hope you arenโ€™t going anywhere soon!

Had the opportunity to go to Nightmare Day Haunts this last Saturday and it was freaking amazing!! My youngest isn't quite ready to hit the real event, but the chance to walk through and experience for herself what a real haunted house is like was the best! I am certain we will hit this event again year after year. Nightmare on 13th is our family's favorite haunt!

Really fun haunted house. My two kids really enjoyed it. Not as scary as fear Factory but i enjoyed it more than them. Funner things to walk through and really cool art ect. Loved it. Well go back every year.

It was freakeshly amazing!!! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป Both the Haunted House and the Institute of Horror were super well done. The 13 nightmare themes were scary and it really felt like you were there. The institute of horror scared me the most. Makes you use all your sensors and you really don't know what's coming next, literally! The whole experienced felt like I was on a Universal Studios attraction. Loved it! Well done!

The atmosphere while inside is really cool! And slightly frightening. I really enjoyed a lot of the rooms and jump-scares. It would have been more enjoyable if they left bigger gaps in between groups, there were multiple points where we were stuck behind the group in front of us as well as a group stuck behind us.
