The best smoked crab and pepes patin in Borneo !

Nice place to taste the seafood especially crab, fish / shrimp grilled and many more. All fresh and so tasty. This resto have two floor with clean rest room and praying room as well. Fast service, agile, the payment also can be done by cash/cashless. In term of cost a bit higher compared others but in term of the food quality and the taste are still worthy.

Ikan bakar bumbu bakar pedas is very delicious. The price is expensive, however its worth considering its taste. Their udang goreng telur asin also delicious and of course their kepiting asap. The smell is very tempting when they grilled the seafood in front of the store. Would love to come back next time.

Food was delicious here. Was ordered many different dishes and put them in the middle of the table to share. All of then was tasty. Plenty of parking and toilets were clean enough. Areas to wash hands too after eating the crab.

This place is wide, has private room and has smoking area. Kepiting Asap was the the best from this restaurant. They crab was very delicious and perfect. The Chili Crab also tasty and perfect. I suggest the Patin, its very good! Before leaving I went to the toilet, no smell but the floor was wet. The price was fair for this fresh seafood, the taste and the portion. Suggest this place for group, family (with kids), business and friends. I will come back here again.

Really smokin! You can see the smoke across the road. Place is really crowded even on weekdays! Their signature is smoked crab / kepiting asap. Some people said it is abit pricey but hey, really can't complain about the taste (really loving the spice too). If you come to samarinda and craving for crabs, this place is for you!

Pondok Borneo Restaurant is a seafood restaurant which is quite famous for its Smoked Crab the location of the Pondok Borneo restaurant is quite strategic in downtown Samarinda. The menu is quite special among them smoked crab, snapper with salad seasoning, soft-shelled crab, the recommended vegetable is bitter gourd. overall, the taste of the food is quite good and I can recommend it for lunch or dinner with family or colleagues.

One of the local favourite smokes crab restaurant located in city of Samarinda. Crab is fresh and quality is good with egg and meaty, sauce wise is just nice, good for people like moderate taste which not too over. Other food like water spinach and squid also nice.

This seafood restaurant has left the best impressions! Ikan Kakap/Kerapu Bakar and Kepiting Soka highly recommended. The staff does an amazing job of describing anything on the menu. Their kepiting asal is recommended by most people. For me, the salted egg shrimp was the best!

Parking space is quite adequate, if the restaurant is full, you can still park by the side of the road. Parking fare is Rp2,000.00 for each car. There are 2 levels inside, the ground level doesn't have air conditioning, but the temperature at the level above is just slightly colder. There is a prayer room that is somewhat okay but small. Toilet is okay but could be cleaned better and improve. Food is delicious especially the smoke sauced crab and the price is okay for the food.

My first time here in Samarinda and the driver recommended this place. My favorite was the soka salted egg and squid with chili and salt. Will definitely come back to Indonesia for this

Having wonderful lunch here on Tuesday 24 May 2022. Delicious sea food. Various weird but yummy beverages, try them. Nice view from 2nd floor. However, dining alone in Pondok Borneo is not recommended, in my mind. Share the nice moment with somebody else

Great taste. You really should try Kepiting Asap and Ikan Bumbu Rujak. As for veggies, Buncis Salted Egg is A MUST, A MUST!

I love to eat here. and absolutely amazing seafood. the one that I love the most is original one. it's a mixture of coconut and honey baked. the vegetable and crab is also my favorite

The gurame bakar asap is delicious. So tasty but no spicy. High price, rate for a fish is about 200.000 rupiahs, and you could share it for 3-4 people. The serving takes too long to be ready.

I always love Crab Dishes... but the Smoke Crab They serve here is out of this world, tops any other crab dish I have eaten (and i HAVE eaten crabs all over the world)... Their Smoked Crab with Shaved coconut fillings (and I don't know what else they put in there) is like nothing else, taking a bite at it is just like party in your mouth. It is soo famous that they usually are sold out of Crabs by 2pm, so often if you are planning to go here with a big party you need to reserve your Crabs first, and that goes the same with Take outs . They Also serve other various Seafood dishes here, all with their own signature recipe. Very very recommended.
