Had an amazing breakfast here today, the food and coffee was amazing and the staff were very friendly with great service! I have eaten at most cafés in the area and this is my new favourite, Highly recommend!

I ordered the Eggs Benedict with Bacon and I think it’s safe to say that this was the best café breakfast I’ve ever had. The eggs were perfect along with the hollandaise sauce that came with it. The bacon was AMAZING which is rare because I never like bacon with any food coming from a café. It was delicious, salty, and savoury! The toast was crunchy and tasty, but the best part of the meal was when the egg yolk mixed with the hollandaise sauce, it sifted through the little crevices of the toast, making me destroy the toast instantly as it was so amazing. Overall, this meal was fantasmagorical and I’ll definitely be coming back here again because of the good vibes and good food. 😁

I've ridden my bike past this cafe a couple of times during the week and it's clearly the locals favourite Cafe. Unfortunately I can't comment on the menu as I only ordered a black coffee (which was nice and hot and not burnt). Although it was busy, the staff were well organised and very friendly. Great customer service from all of them ! I did see ice cream at the front for the ice cream lovers. It's dog friendly for outside tables and there's bike parking too. They've really catered for all and have created a very relaxed and inclusive atmosphere. Plenty of space indoors and outdoors if you have a large group. My coffee came with a collective spoon and a chocolate freckle wich was a lovely touch. Will be back !

We stopped here for coffee and some snacks as the turnaround point for the Ferney Grove to Samford Village bike rail trail. Plenty of room to leave the bikes, for those coming by car on street parking available adjacent. Indoor seating or outdoor under the covered footpath. Even early the place was busy, fast and friendly staff. The food arrived fast along with the coffee order, all good, especially the coffee. Good place for an old style village cafe stop.

What an awesome find! We visited during a recent trip to Brisbane and will make it a regular stop everytime we travel now. Great spot. Family friendly. Great menu options and the owners and staff are awesome. Thanks Cliff for making us feel so welcome.

First time at TLYL and very impressed. Great quality food and good value in an idyllic area of Brisbane. Service was quick and friendly even though the place was chockers. Great to see the Valley starting to get some quality eating establishments.

Early morning, need a heater on all windows and doors open. Coffee's good, foods reheated. My egg was microwaved to long so it became hard and crispy, not enjoyable. Aside from coffee, ok experience.

Lovely staff. One of the few places I've found that opens early and closes at 5 every day . Great food options. Reasonable prices.

Fantastic food, coffee, service, location. Corn fritters were the bomb (sorry for not taking the photo earlier), have been looking for a new local and think we found it!!! Brisbanites, please don't come here on weekends 😆

We stopped by this great cafe at Samford. The Cheese & Onion Pasty was so tasty, accompanied by great coffee. The staff were so friendly, service was really good and there was a great range of cakes and pastries to choose from in the cabinet.. The Long Yard Larder is very well-located in the centre of Samford, with plenty of street parking outside. We look forward to our next visit!

We stopped briefly at Samford to get a takeaway coffee and hot chocolate. The coffee was very nice. Good aroma and the milk was frothed decently. However the hot chocolate was extremely weak in chocolate. I was about to ask them to remake it, but our children didn’t mind it so we didn’t. The service was alright. The place is nicely decorated and there were lots of customers.

I enjoyed the iced latte and bacon and egg toastie. The latte is smooth, doesn't leave a bitter aftertaste like some other places. Great place to have a bite after a ride. They're open a lot later than other places too

We stopped by for breakfast before a road trip, ordered the corn fritter and went to the park across the way(quite fun!). When I came back, the food was at our table and looked amazing! The presentation was on a whole other level and the taste was even better! The egg was poached perfectly and everything worked well together. All in all, my expectations were blown out of the water and it was probably the best meal I have ever had!

Delicious breakfast options and coffee. Perfect morning stop.
