In my opinion there is not a lot to see, as soon has we walked through the gate we were asked "do you want to buy tickets"? We asked how big the place was because it did not seem much. We were told that " Yeah there is loads to see" it was only $5 dollars each but we were around the place in 30 minutes and out. Sorry expected more.....

Today I took 32 people from our Probus Club to the Samford Historical Village. On arrival we were met by Jeff as he welcomed everyone. We did the morning tea and tour entry, and I must say , the morning tea was delicious. Home made scones, pikelets, jam and fresh cream with lovely sandwiches, what a treat. All of our members had a really good look around the Vllage, which brought back some great memories of early childhood, and how a lot of our pioneers fared. A delightful day and well worth seeing, I highly recommend a visit.

A great way to step back in time to see how our great grandparents lived. This is a well curated collection of memorabilia including farm machinery, horse buggies, old pre-electric sewing machines, washing machines and kids toys. For the very fair price of $5 for Adults you can wander around easily for a couple of hours looking at all the beautifully restored items and collections of things like telephones. Even has a "thunder box" (outdoor toilet) complete with redneck spider.

One of the best museums I’ve been too so comprehensive and yet it’s free of charge. The volunteers were so nice and friendly gave me a lot of information about what the village was like and what it has become. They did warn me about an arrogant culture within the area which I discovered for myself at the arts craft shop. One of the volunteers sat down to have a good long chat with me. I really enjoyed my time here very enriching no hesitation for a 5-star review. A must visit place.

A wonderful place to spend a couple of hours. Very interesting, easy way to learn about the history of Samford and surrounding areas - and Brisbane itself. Absolutely fascinating really! Run by friendly volunteers who keep this beautiful museum running. Without them, this place would not exist. They also have guided tours. Child friendly, some areas are wheelchair friendly as well.

A must visit in Samford. Absolutely amazing place to visit. The museum is run by volunteers who give up their time to ensure a memorable visit. They are more than happy to share their stories and passion about how Samford and the surrounding areas used to be. So many items on displays, allow at least half a day for the visit you wont be disappointed.
