Out of all of the KOAโ€™s, we have stayed out through the years. This by far has to be the worst management behavior ever experience at a KOA. The managers, Troy and Dyanne are not reasonable or levelheaded, that if asked a question becomes very hostile. Our daughter who is 11 went to ask for quarters our first day arriving to only be scolded by Diane the manager that it was inconvenient and you only bring a 10 next time. If she asked about the pool, she was scolded and told she cannot be there without an adult, even if she was just asking if it was open. And yes the pool was open one day before June 1, that is why she asked after that day. First they said it was at their discretion when they will open the pool the day after they open the pool they did not open it again for a few days then being told that there was a June 1 rule, when really, itโ€™s just at their discretion or whatโ€™s convenient for them. They refused to unlock any toy to be used by children. My daughter could not walk comfortably around the facility without being scolded for any and everything by Dyanne and Troy. One evening 3 young girls with the most uncomfortable looks on their faces asked us if there was a shower they could use they were staying in a tent. Troy refuse them the shower pin like they were in the wrong. Of coarse we gave them the code. I felt horrible for them. As we were unloading groceries, we were threatened to be towed within five minutes if we did not move our truck, even if we tried to explain to them, we were just unloading groceries when asked for the corporate number after days of their inappropriate behavior, I was given the number to the front office to speak to Dyanne about Dyanne when I asked for the owners number I was screamed at and accused of trying to assault her so I started to record for my safety, only to be screamed at by her husband, Troy for recording him and his wifeโ€™s behavior. All was done in front of other customers when I refused to leave the front office without a valid number to call we were then told we had to leave and had the sheriffs called and trespassed against all for asking for a higher ups number. Troy yelled violently when I asked for the ownerโ€™s number he claimed he was the owner and it wonโ€™t go no further than himself me and my family then decide it was best for us to leave for our sake in our daughter sake not a pleasant experience by far. Tried reaching out to the owners multiple times, but have yet to hear back. These were just a few instances with the manager of the property. Troy and Dyanne.

My brother went there for spring break and was not able to stay the first night due to having personal things to take care of the first night. I went to visit him for one day on his birthday and they tried to charge him for me being there all weekend. They said that only 4 people were allowed to stay in the cabin and ended up charging him for 6 people for 2 nights. They wouldn't even listen to anything he had to say. He ended up leaving a week before he was supposed to due to the people running this location treating him and his group like garbage. Would not recommend this location at all. Have been to other KOA locations and was not treated this way. Will never be back.

90 degree day and no access to the pool after 5:00. It should be open till 8:00 or 9:00 at least. I know we looked for that amenity when we booked the campground. Was unable to use it after we got back later in the afternoon.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, This Koa is well kept. Just fyi my parents stopped by for my birthday dinner and parked at our campsite, was told by management that the Deputy Sheriff drives through there a lot and would have the car told. Also we were in the pool drinking a Seltzer Water, management told us no drinks or food in the pool area that if the Deputy Sheriff was to see this that they would shut the pool down. Just watch out for the Deputy obviously he drives through a lot looking to give tickets or tow vehicles.

Nice campground with mostly pull-through spots. Sites are level and easy to access. The park is close to town for food, fuel or groceries. Wifi worked well with Verizon cell signal strong also. Park seemed to be mostly full-time residents.

Typical KOA amenities and hospitality. No grass at all in the park except for the dog park area. That has quite a few stickers, which seems typical for the geography. People were nice. Would stay there again if in the area.

By far well managed and CLEAN. Location is prime. Close to town if needing to make a quick trip to the grocery store/ grab a coffee/ fuel/ or just check out cute shops! Right around the corner from Lake Nasworthy, and access to a nice walking trail- just walking distance from the KOA. Centrally located in the park there is a nice pool, laundry room, and clean bathrooms with showers! My husband and I stayed at this KOA in our travel trailer as work brought us to the area temporarily. With how much we travel for work, and of all the different parks we have stayed at, I will have to say this was our best experience yet! The managers Troy and Diana work so hard maintaining the park! They are always making sure everyone is happily accommodated. They are also so kind. We will definitely be back!

Quiet and peaceful. Nice pool and play area. Restrooms with showers were very close to cabins so that was a great plus.

Staff was friendly and helpful. However pull thru site was not level and not all that clean or picked up. Saw several cigarette and cigar butts, also someone previously decided to brush their dog leaving dog hair around the site. It was nice having the walking trail to use and enjoy watching the local deer.

Refused to let us camp here with a 24' converted enclosed trailer with a loading door, rv door, escape door & proper ventilation. Claiming "fire safety"...what a hoot! Also refused to allow truck tents stating all tents must be on the ground. Absolutely ridiculous. We love KOA - but apparently we are not good enough for this one.

I was calling to find a long term stay and was trying to go with koa since we live at one in burkbunett, tx and have had a wonderful stay with them.. I was informed we could not stay here because of the breed of our dogs! Pam said they will not alow pitbull or mastif mix breeds.

The park is very well kept. Although I just had a disappointing interaction with an individual who claims he is the manager of the San Angelo KOA. This person approached me as I was throwing out some packing trash and demanded I tell him what RV space I was in. Never having seen him before I asked him why he wanted to know. Unfortunately, the conversation did not go well from that point, as his demeanor became more hostile. During this intense exchange, I asked this individual if he came over to me in order to fight, he stated โ€œnoโ€ I donโ€™t want to have to kill you. I canโ€™t understand how a person with that type of personality could reflect positively on the San Angelo KOA.

Was Able to get a last minute spot overnight as we had a blowout on the Sunday after Christmas and no one in the area that had the tire size we needed was open. They were able to allow us to checkin after hours and everything. Great experience overall

Very clean and quiet site, occasional planes passing over to the nearby airport but it was not often enough to annoy. Just the sweetest staff, I dropped an old gift card and they called me when they found it on the property. Thankfully I didn't need it but they were very nice to call and reach out.

My elderly grandmother had a male property manager get in her face and scream at her that she was driving too fast. They then proceeded to announce she had to leave the park. Absolutely insane behavior from the managers of the park. They then continued to drive around on their golf cart and harass my family over literally ridiculous things for the next 2 days. DO NOT STAY HERE

Staying here since beginning of October. And Troy and Diana are extremely nice and thoughtful. Shower house is always clean. As well as laundry room. It's one of the cleanest campgrounds I've stayed at.

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE AND RUDE MANAGEMENT! We are RVers and have stayed at hundreds of sites, including quite a few KOAs but the management here was TERRIBLE! We were in the process of moving and when making the reservation, stated we had a Uhaul towing a car. When we arrived and stayed a few days (to visit friends) we were not only scolded but VERY RUDELY treated for having TWO vehicles parked at our site (which was weird because there were other sites with multiple vehicles and not permanent sites too). She stated it was a "fire hazard" but we weren't blocking any lanes, fire hydrants, other visitor parking spots and were well within our spot. We were then RUDELY told to not plug in our electric vehicle because the park "doesn't have the resources" yet there are golf carts (which require plug in) and numerous large RVs and campers needing 50 & 30 volt. We've been at many other sites with literally less resources that could handle the minimal power requirement. Then, a friend came over and parked her truck at our spot after we moved our other vehicle. We were yet again RUDELY yelled at to move the vehicle and that we needed to pay $5 for the visitor to even be here! That's not a KOA policy so where does the $5 go? Not the KOA... It's one thing to have these local policies in place but they aren't stated or posted anywhere but from the management's mouth and it's always very rude. Their approach could've changed this review. Needs younger more appropriately resourced and professional, hospitality staff in order to handle the customers coming to this location.

Spots are a little small. But still good enough if your neighbor is nice enough to let you hang out. Every campsite I've been to my neighbors are always really nice that I invite them for a beer when I cook out, or vise versa. The staff here is incredible and will help you out as much as they can. I appreciate the help from these great people when we had that freeze here 2x. I couldn't find propane, and since they had propane on site, they refilled my tanks. When they were closed and my propane ran out (cause I was unprepared), they came out and helped me. These people here are kind-hearted, and I would recommend staying here! They have a trail that's 2 miles long. It's basically a hill. But at the bottom of it, the lake is there, and you can hang out there. The lake is also across the park, so if you don't want to make the hike. It's literally the best campground I've been to.

Even though I arrived after hours a friendly staff member drove out to meet me to make sure I was good. Sparkling and hot showers, dog park and a huge walking space and open area next door.

The only thing that could make this place any better is having it Lakefront. The cabins and customer service are exceptional!! One of the older gentleman's that run this KOA is the friendliest and most helpful person! We will definitely return! I didn't get to take pics of the beauty it was! ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ

This establishment was great in the past and now itโ€™s been purchased by infectious Californians. Itโ€™s no longer โ€œHunterโ€ Friendly. Spend your $ somewhere else

We stayed only for one night while passing through. However, the office staff was very nice when calling to check-in on us and verifying we would be late check in's. Everything we need was there when we arrived, in the dark. The camper site was level and we had all the hookups we needed. The dog park was pleasant for our girl. If ever traveling this way again, we will stop here.

Very nice and well run KOA. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We would go back but maybe not in the heat of summer. No trees and gravel campsites.

Nice place to park if you are in the area. We spent a week there and it was great. Everything was clean and the staff are so helpful and friendly.

Easy stay for one night. Traffic patterns are a little confusing and clearly caters to seasonal and long term residents. Kept getting headlights in our window at night from people coming in. I don't really care for sites that face each other, but luckily our neighbor was not out much. People were nice.

My husband and I stayed there from April to early July and had a great time! The staff (especially Pam & both Bobs) go above and beyond and are really helpful. They're super quick on the trash pickup and all the facilities are all well kept. We will certainly be staying there again whenever we're back in town!

Very well appointed, clean, and well maintained RV park. Nicely landscaped with dividers, astroturf/textured concrete seating area, dog park, one walking area and one hiking trail all attached.

Nice clean park. Sites are a bit tight and mostly gravel. All of them seem level. The wifi is pretty good, and staff is very friendly. Great spot for visiting the area.
