😠 This is a horrible place. I came here at age 17. I was attacked by a girl because apparently I was speaking too loud for her opinion. She got 4 hits in before they grabbed her. This is a horrible place. I came here at age 17. I was attacked by a girl because apparently I was speaking too loud for her opinion. She got 4 hits in before they grabbed her. They did not allow me a phone call till 2 hours after the attack. I didn’t even fight back because my back was turned. She tried to attack me a second time. And instead of removing her they sent me to the children’s area which is bad on its own. It’s so freezing. When I went in they took all my clothes and I was stuck in the room with clothes made of paper and thin hospital socks for almost 2 hours. I thought I would freeze. I asked for my slippers and they said no. I never got them. the beds are a joke. The blankets they give you are LITERALLY towels. So thin rough, and short they never let us outside either. Maybe once the entire two weeks o was there. Group therapy was a joke. We just went in a circle, said how we felt then listened to music the entire time. The staff is kind but not experienced AT ALL. They don’t allow us in our rooms during the day. Not enough chairs either. I sat on the cold concrete floor most of the time. They only gave me 2 pairs of clothes and 3 pairs of socks for 2 weeks. Basically a prison with less rights.

River crest outpatient care is great, the therapists who run group are super supportive and caring. I always look forward to coming to group to take a break from everything and comfortably talk to people who won’t judge you.

If I could give this place -10 starts I would. My daughter was a patient here in May of 2022. After leaving this awful place she is now traumatized. She stayed there for 3 days. The first day we were allowed to speak with her around 630 pm. In that conversation she was so scared and felt unsafe. I called and wanted to get her out immediately. The nurse I spoke with was so terrifible. I told her my daughter felt unsafe and she told me " where did she try to hurt herself?" Her name is Melinda,I believe. Me husband and I drove there immediately to get her out and they threaten us with police and a judge to keep her in there longer. Before my daughter arrived at this facility I was not notified that it was a coed facility and I was not aware that this was really not a voluntary place. My daughter complaints are so alarming. An older boy asked my daughter if she wanted to be a tripper. I notified Melinda the RN and she got on to my daughter threatening her that if she wants to get out of there she would need to not speak of this to her parents. After that incounter my daughter was terrified to speak up about the things she was uncomfortable with. When we picked her up she heard the birds and was so amazing by the sounds of outside because they were not allowed outside time for most of her stay. Please do not send your children here. This place needs to be shut down for the safety of our children. I now will never trust the medical system for mental health and I am a student nurse. Also be aware of what voluntary means when it comes to these type of places. I will continue to pray for the children that are there and I will pray that the nurse, Melinda will find compassion when it comes to her line of work

The outpatient program is great. The staff is warm and welcoming. The groups allow you be open without forcing you to do so.

I definitely wouldn’t choose this place. I mean it’s mad cold, theirs not a lot of things to do because it’s mostly aimed towards kids, very few psychiatrists had any bedside manner and it’s extremely hard for family to contact you (which I personally think is the worst one). The vibe of the whole place is just extremely depressing. Not to mention being right next to the violent patients who scream all throughout the day.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND this place. The staff were RUDE and hung up on me when I tried to check on my child. I could NOT get answers nor speak to certain staff when I requested for the WHOLE week my child was in there. They DO NOT do checks every 15 minutes which they advised they do during intake. FEMALE ADOLESCENCE WERE ABLE TO MAKE OUT (KISS) AND SNEAK INTO THE BOYS ROOMS- WHEN I THOUGHT THIS WAS A PLACE TO GET HELP. THEY PLAYED SPIN THE BOTTLE ETC. My child stated this place was NO HELP AND MOST OF THE TIME THERE WERE NO COUNSELORS ON SITE. My child stated this place was MORE DRAINING AND STRESSFUL THAN ANYTHING WITH ALL THE CHAOS SND STAFF DID NOTHING TO CONTROL IT. All they made them do was color-no outside activities. This made my child more depressed than they were when they arrived. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILD TO THIS PLACE-

I went here 2 times in the matter of 5 months and it didn’t really help the first time I went there but I went there again and it kind of helped. I mean I was back in a good state of mind but a lot of things happened. A 10 year old girl kept harassing me and other patients, threatening to kill me and other patients, and screamed when she didn’t get what she wanted and the staff didn’t seem to care. But besides that the food was good and the beds were alright but cold as hell. But I had an alright experience 5/10 for sure.

They aided me in my recovery and helped me to understand my condition. I left there able to sleep for the first time in 20years. I am able to understand myself not as floating in life but now am living life. Thank you.

You'd be better off anywhere else. My daughter was given medication I specifically told them not to give her, as per her pediatrician's request. They refused to even acknowledge she is bipolar, which doesn't go away. I wouldn't recommend this place unless it is quite literally the ONLY option you have. Even still, don't do it.

The Receptionist was rude and disrespectful if I could give negative stars I would. I called to talk with my mother who was admitted and they gave me the run around saying I can't say she is a patient until they do research because I didn't have her ID number which I was told by my sister I didn't need it because that's what she was told so I was given then run around. Don't send anyone here my mom was sent here because they where the only with available space and now I now why they are horrible

there is only 1 nurse there that seemed to care about the patients. the groups need to be separated to focus on the common areas people are struggling with. it was cold the entire time and we couldn't keep our blankets with us in the open room area. the food was decent. the beds were not comfortable. overall, it felt like we were being punished for being in the situations we were in.

Staff is rude and indifferent to patients needs and wants will not be tolerated. They are more interested in ordering their own lunches from take-out and eating it right outside your door. Of course, while patients are served slop. They are so petty and you get to listen to them squabble about splitting every dime to the taxes. My guess? They probably don’t even tip the poor delivery person! Not good people!

This place was not very informative at their process policy. We did not get to say goodbye to our loved one upon admittance. Either poor training or just poor management. The intake nurses did not even try to make it right.

The entire staff was Amazing!!! I loved each and every tech, nurse, charge nurse, counselor, therapist and Dr!!! Everyone was so attentive down to the driver when I left! they were amazing as well and treated everyone with kindness and didn't rush us to unload! Tabi, clarissa, maddie and quite a few others were my favorites! y'all have inspired me to join in that profession and help those that have struggled through with what I went through....I want to give back and help. I love y'all River Crest!!! I hope to work there some day!

Stay was great but the reason for the 2 ⭐️⭐️’s is I have to have my three inhalers one I am to take every single day without fail, and on the day of my discharge, they forgot to give me my inhalers so when I call back, it is sending me to a different wing per se. It sent me to decline it sent me to intake and then it finally sent me to Oak not to mention for the fact that they are wanting to send it to me through mail and not tell me the exact day that I will be getting it so until then I am left without my inhalers. I hope I do not have an asthma attack because of such carelessness.

My daughter has had to go to River Crest 3 times, all the times she has gone she has been helped to work through all her problems better than before she went.

With all the negative reviews And a very low rating, makes you wonder why the facility is ran by someone with an Arts degree and no formal medical training, you will have a facility with no structure, and chaos throughout,

I was playing footsies with my friend and i got yelled at lol besides that there was this one tech who helped a lot they gave very good advice probably helped more than the group therapy. I really despise that we didn't get to go outside that often when i got out everything felt so new the air, clouds, animals, streets, and plants I really missed the sun. Kinda traumatic....
