The provider never introduced herself when coming in. Made us feel rushed and was very short with us. Was maybe in the room 2 minutes tops and walked out of the room. Not even saying anything to end the visit like ā€œhope he feels better, or call if yā€™all need anythingā€¦ā€ just walked out. Bedside manner was awful. Hopefully she doesnā€™t treat all patients like this. Patients donā€™t deserve to be treated like this by a provider. I know everyone has their off days or bad days but leave it at the door when u come to work. Show some compassion sometimes! People arenā€™t coming there because they feel goodā€¦ or because they want to come see a grumpy provider. Get it together and show some professionalism with some compassion! People deserve better and you know you can do better!

Beware of Shannon Urgent Care South! I went to this clinic today to receive treatment for an infection. I discussed my issue with the nurse who was very kind and attentive. Twenty minutes later, Dr. Blount walked into the room and aggressively began lecturing me about my concern. I had no previous interactions with this physician, but she behaved as if she was put out by my visit. She failed to introduce herself. She was rude and treated me like a child. She has zero compassion and could definitely use training when it comes to providing excellent patient care. I will not be returning to this facility, and I hope Shannon Medical Center addresses my concerns as I left today's visit feeling worse.

Delilah S. Is solely to blame for this one star review. Both times I have seen her, she has been extremely rude and condescending. The real doctors (Dr. Kopp) are nice. Not Delilah the CNP, though. She came in my room and didn't ask why I was there, simply yelled at me that they are not giving me narcotics and that I will be fine and that I don't even look that bad. If you're curious, I have COVID and two ear infections, had abnormally high blood pressure, a high fever, and was in extreme pain, with countless OTC medications failing to ease the pain. She showed no remorse or empathy, and is one one of the rudest encounters I've ever had with a medical "professional". I will never recommend her practices to anyone that I care about. This is NOT the field for her and she does not need to be around patients seeking medical attention.

I am new to the San Angelo area and was so woefully disappointed with my healthcare experience here. I came in with my son who is 1 year old due to an unexplained swollen, bruised and hot ankle over the Labor Day holiday. As I said we are new here (like a couple weeks) so we havenā€™t become established with a pediatric practice yet. Upon arrival we are told the wait is nearly 2 hours due to the doctor leaving for lunch. Ok I get it we all have to eat, but no back up doctor? For a holiday weekend? Anyway, we are seen after about a 1.5 hour wait. The doctor comes in, does not lay a hand on my son. Does not inspect the ankle. Does not feel to see if the ankle is even warm. Tells me itā€™s infected due to a bug bite. When I pressed him to point out a bug bite he was unable to show me any ā€œpoint of entryā€ for either a bite or a sting. THATS WHY IM HERE I KNOW ITS NOT A BUG BITE. He began to ā€œInform meā€ when there is a break in the skin infection can set inā€¦ everyone knows thatā€¦. The problem is there was no visible break in the skin. He became frustrated with my questions told me he was prescribing a 10 day course of antibiotics. Left the room. We found REAL care somewhere else. It was a sprained ankle. Horribly swollen. Obviously bruised and ugly. So glad I didnā€™t listen to this kook and put my baby through 10 days of unnecessary antibiotics. Donā€™t seek care here.

Walked in on a Thursday and the experience was first class. The receptionist, Dr Kopp, and his assistant Monica were thorough and friendly. It could not have been smoother. I would highly recommend this clinic.

They werenā€™t able to help much in prescribing for symptoms and they also sent wrong prescription to pharmacy after nurse, myself and doctor talked about it. Really bad service from this location so far. Dr. Schnitzer dismissed my symptoms and noted that I seemed under no distress when I fact I was feeling horrible. She is a new doctor out of med school and wouldnā€™t recommend. She was a very arrogant and dismissive young doctor. I wouldnā€™t ever be treated under she care ever again. I was violently Iā€™ll later that night. I would hope Shannon administration would hire better doctors.

A few years ago, I went in for a quick checkup. Dr. Blount was the first Shannon doctor that ever showed any concern about my high blood pressure. She read me the riot act, but she was right. I want my Dr to be honest with me, and she was definitely honest. She started me on BP meds immediately, and nearly overnight I started feeling better than I have in years. Now that I'm looking for a new PCP, she is definitely on my shortlist because I appreciate her "Blountness" (ha...)

Waited 3 hours to see a doctor 4 days ago.He prescribed steroids. For inflammation. After the 4 days of steroids no change. Told me to come back for covid test. Strep throat, and whatever else he could come up with. For another 105$.. probably not " felix". Your guessing game cost me to much. Went to Shannon on southwest, 15 minutes later I walked out with 2 antibiotics to treat infection.ear and sinuses infection. Total cost $280.. Highly not recommended on knickerbocker..

One star only because the Receptionist was very professional. Nurse/Aid instructed me into first door on the right and asked me to sit at on the table to get my vitals, but did not get my weight, believed she entered the same weight from a prior visit. The "Heathcare Provider" belittled me, made me feel I was a waste of her time, ridiculed my symptoms and said that my weight hasn't changed from my visit 2 weeks prior, therefore I could not have any swelling. Told me I could go to the ER if I disagreed. I love Shannon, but have never been treated so awful and with so little concern.

The best part is when you show up 20 minutes before your ā€œspot in lineā€ they claim they check you in. They donā€™t. You ask after waiting forever and the same person who claims they checked you in tells you they didnā€™t actually do it, and you are now a no show. But you can wait at the end of the line now.

My very young daughter has been terrified of doctors since she was hospitalized with COVID and RSV last December. The staff at this location made the extra effort to help her feel comfortable. Thank you.

I brought my daughter in for a strep test, and everyone was so wonderful! We saw Felix Guanajuato FNP and his assistant, Teena - both were so kind and sweet to myself and my 4 year old! Felix was amazing with my daughter!! Brianna, the nurse who did our discharge, was also incredibly sweet! This is the UC we always come to, and have always had good experiences with the providers. Thank you for being a great UC to come to when needed!

avoid this urgent care if you can, one lady took me to the back and swabbed me for covid and strep and was VERY SWEET. the one star is for her. On the other hand Dr.Voigt is VERY RUDE and pushes you out without even letting you tell her your symptoms. i had a high fever, congestion body aches for a week and she just pushed me out claiming i had allergies and gave me absolutely no other remedies to ease my discomfort besides to wait till it goes away. Never coming to this clinic as long as shes working !! beware!

Just want to send appreciation to Ms. Terri at this location. I'm a grown woman but terrified of swabbing mouth or nose but she was so, so kind & sweet & made me as comfortable as possible about it. She told me a trick about holding your breath & counting & the distraction helped. She was genuine, patient, I didn't feel rushed so that helped put me at ease so much. I hope she gets all the best this Christmas & God bless her & others like that her.

My experience with this place was horrible. I was in so much pain from having food poisoning & the doctor pushed the Covid test on me! I didnā€™t have Covid. Big shock. I had 103 fever and they took their sweet time helping me. When he entered the room he said that I have a stomach bug & asked why I was in so much pain!? My body aches put me in the fetal position & they acted like I shouldnā€™t be hurting like that because it was ā€œonly the stomach bug!ā€ I canā€™t believe how rude they all were just because I didnā€™t want a Covid test & I already knew I had food poisoning! My fever took 4 hours to break! No thanks to them!

Focus is on testing...aka money...not on the patient, their symptoms, or their needs. I'd say seek medical help elsewhere...but the healthcare monopoly here in San Angelo is unavoidable, it seems.

Waited here for 2 hours with my 4 month old. Managed to witness staff allow and direct two gentlemen to bring in visibly dirty medical waste trash cans with liners still open within these containers through the waiting room. Surely thereā€™s a more sanitary protocol than this? 10/10 would NOT recommend any Shannon medical facility. Best drive to Abilene instead.

Receptionist was very friendly. I had a coughing fit and asked if she had some water somewhere that I could have, and she got me a bottle of water. Dr Guanajuato was very friendly and enthusiastic, and got me fixed up with an antibiotic.

Probably the most efficient and friendly care ive ever received. No question unanswered, constant updates about how long things would take and everyone is peppy despite being busy.
