Have walked this several times over the last 6 years alone and with company and at various times of day, to include after dark. Very relaxing.

Itโ€™s really good for a morning, afternoon, or evening walk and itโ€™s not overly commercialized like many cityโ€™s river walks. Thereโ€™s only a couple of restaurants or bars located on the main stretch. Instead, it connects you to a couple of park areas with picnic tables, nice walkways, and even some outdoor art exhibits. Christmas time is really awesome, the city sets up a lot of light displays along the banks of the river. You can drive along the street and check it out, or you can walk along the sidewalks to view it at your own pace. I recommend walking it instead of driving it. The drive times can really back up and take a while to get through.

For some scenic exercising around town, the Concho River Walk is the place to do a little bit of walking, jogging, or even hiking. It's a few minutes walking distance from the hotel I stayed at on business, the Econo Lodge San Angelo, which just re-opened under a new management and renovations. I took the hotel's complimentary hot breakfast and coffee to go with me on the river walk and enjoyed a nice scenic breakfast that morning.

My favorite spot to run with my dog. The ducks and geese are always amusing. It is always clean and the grass is usually well taken care of. The tall trees give a good shade on this summer heat. Be aware of the squirrels if you are walking your dog there! Mine always gives me trouble when she sees one running up a tree.

๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ Here lies one of the best disc golf courses in town. Full of fun unique shots too the area. Truly something to cherish if your from this area. I'm a bias disc golfer. Probably not a great place for kids
