I went to the hospital due to extreme pain; level 10. I had surgery about 5 weeks ago, and could not see my doctor due to them being closed, so I went to the ER. I knew there would be a wait, which there was. However, here are the issues I faced: While in the waiting they made most family members leave, including my husband. Also, a wife's husband while she was having a stroke, and a very elderly man's family member. He could barely get around. The security guard was so rude and was basically kicking people out, "like you (point) out," not even giving people time to tell their family member that they had to leave. The patients were so confused when they saw their family member missing after leaving triage, lab, or imaging. After about 2 1/2 hours I got a room. They checked my vitals and hooked me up the the machines and left. Never saw my nurse again until I was discharged. I was in so much pain that I was in a fetal position and just crying. 6 1/2 hours later they told me that they didn't see anything wrong, so they discharged me. When they brought my discharge papers they gave me one pain pill and sent me on my way. What a waste of time. How could they not help me get some relief when I was there? I'm sure I will get a huge bill, and they didn't even help me. So disappointed. Please have compassion for the patients. Treat them like you would want to be treated. We go to the hospital for help, not to be treated like a criminal

The absolute WORST emergency room I have ever been to. I spent hours just waiting, yes we’d usually have a wait at a er but this long of a wait, 4hours with absolutely nothing done not even vitals?!? Yeah if you want me die just say that. And when you finally do get called back you get put on a bed in the hallway so lord forbid you have to show any part of your body because now you need to wait for a room but those are ALL RESERVED for whoever comes in on the ambulance. Even if there is an open room they won’t use it because they might need all 300 of them so you have to lay in the hallway. Oh and there goes HIPPA and your privacy. The person laying in the bed next to you can not only see the booger in your nose but they can also hear everything that’s wrong with you including your name dob ssi. This needed zero stars but it won’t allow that.

This hospital is beyond trash. I’m actually writing this review from the ER where I’ve been for almost the last 10 hours with my wife. If she weren’t in so much pain I’d take her somewhere else. Unless you have no other option “Don’t come here”. In all my years I’ve never seen anything this bad. With two nurses stations, the one directly in front of our room had no one there most of the time, and the had four all on their phones, and holding conversations with other staff. I pressed the call button for a nurse and no one came. I eventually went to the nurse station and the nurse that I encountered did nothing. The land this atrocity sits on could be better used for an amusement park. I urge that you go elsewhere if you even want the most minimal humane treatment. It’s not only the nurses that’s trash, it’s the doctors as well. They had a shift change while since we been here, and it literally took the doctor (Dr. Bradley) three hours to come tell us what we already knew. Lastly, when or where in the hell do they have regular patients on the same hall as prisoners from a jail. With two of the most lazy a— guards I’ve ever seen. Save yourself and your family. Go elsewhere! Part 2: I did give them a piece of my mind while in the ER. After the frustration set in, and the constant inattentiveness; it got to me. So why when they guy came to transport my wife upstairs, the nurse told him of my outburst. In response the transporter made the comment “So you’re saying I should hit every bump on the way up?” To the defense of the nurse he immediately replied “no”. However, I heard the comment, and addressed it on spot. He attempted to play it off like he was talking to someone on the phone through an earbud, which in “my” opinion shouldn’t be worn while working. What made his guilt even more evident was that he attempted to cover by calling out every time a supposed bump was ahead… you could take that it was fake. Did I mention the game of let’s play on our walkie talkies that three nurses engaged in while standing right in front of each other. Maybe if they played less, had some real leadership/supervision the reviews wouldn’t be what they are. Less than three stars for a hospital. Had I known before entering, I would have drove right on by on my way to SAMMC. We’re finally in her admitted room, and it only took 13 hours from the time we entered the ER doors. I wouldn’t normally rant this way, but it’s all I have short of getting physical with someone; and it would definitely be warranted in my opinion….. especially after making a comment to mistreat my wife. Unprofessional, uncalled for; but not surprising. This experience has been like having my hands tied behind my back, and being repeatedly slapped in the face…….. Not to mention, I’m not even the patient….. beyond disgraceful! Part 3, of this hot mess of a place. My wife pressed her call button. She didn’t want me to go out there so that I won’t get into it with anyone. So I wait… 15 minutes later I go to the door and immediately see two people standing there, and four more out of view due to the pillar. I so wish I could just handle my business at this point!

I had had spinal surgery 4 days before (at a different hospital) and seemed to be having an allergic reaction to medication. From the moment I entered the emergency room until my discharge, I felt well taken care of. The emergency room nurses and doctors were great about keeping me informed of what tests they were doing and why. Once admitted to general hospital facilities the wonderful care I was given continued. The professionalism and compassion for the patient was very evident with each person I dealt with.

Worst ER experience of my life! Their staff members were rude, disrespectful, and inattentive. It’s obvious they lack the capacity for adequate patient care on any level. If you’re needing basic medical care of any kind, it’s worth the drive to go to a hospital that truly focuses on patient care. I’ve been to nearly every hospital in the city at some point in my life. This facility by far is the worst. Never again!

If I could give zero stars I absolutely would! I am disgusted by this hospital behavior!!! My aunt went in for chest issues, possibly having a stroke cause she’s had one before. After finding out she did indeed have a stroke & what we were thinking just receiving care. These people had the audacity to wait for our family to leave & try to take my aunt to mental state hospital ?! Claiming she was suicidal & senile ?! Was not letting her make no calls to us her family Thankfully my aunt knows her rights and denied it. But they then tried to call the cops and have her detained? After speaking to my aunt the cop said she would refuse detaining and she was perfectly fine. The hospital then became very aggravated and discharged my aunt at 2:30 in the morning with no money, a dead phone told her she has 5 minutes to get off of property. My 50 year old was left walking by 151 all by herself at damn near 3 in the morning! I am beyond disgusted with this hospital actions and the way they treated my Aunt. We will be hiring a attorney and taking further action Please avoid this hospital at all cost!!!

If I could give negative I would because even 1 star is too much. There is absolutely no continuity of care in this hospital. There is a communication breakdown within every department you get different answers from nurses, dr, administration it’s like walking into a room and someone makes a guess out of a box. Once you complain even to the patient advocate they won’t even return your phone calls. This hospital endangers the life of its patients and unless you want your loved one’s suffering do NOT go here . They have left people in bed days without moving or sitting up, left food out of reach for a pt that cannot walk, they have accidentally moved placement of a central line due to rough dressing and cleaning change I can go on an on.

My dad went to the ER here on Friday at 7 am with severe stomach pain . They told him he has to have his gallbladder removed, 12 hours later they finally got him a room after telling us for 5 hours his room was being cleaned. They told him he could not eat anything due to surgery. okay we get that yet the today they don’t t take him back for surgery until 1 pm and he wasn’t taken in for surgery yet at 6:20 pm he has not eaten now in over 48hours. This was a good place years ago but now it seems like it has no clue on how to run efficiently zero planning and execution of plans . Take your love ones elsewhere !

Beautiful hospital. The staff here at Santa Rosa Family Healthcare are amazing, especially Dr. Emeralds Gill. She listened to my son's needs and is very patient. My son has autism, so it takes a lot of patience from everyone.

I returned to the ED when my infected left leg had not responded to the antibiotics. The Nurse Practitioner greeted me in the triage area and informed me she was going to order me tests and a different IV antibiotic. I had to sit in a wheelchair in the waiting room the time I was getting my tests. I was told the ED was very busy and there were no rooms. On my way to get my ultrasound, I noticed plenty of room in the hallway and nobody in the four recliners. After my ultrasound I informed the ultrasound technician that I will need a stretcher because my leg has increased and spread to my knee and foot. She informed me that the charge nurse ordered that I be returned to the waiting room in the wheelchair. I demanded to speak to the charge nurse because I will have to stretch and elevate my leg. The ultrasound technician did not care, she just wanted me out of her department . The charge nurse was condescending and callous. He refused to allow me to speak to my DOCTOR, and the SUPERVISOR. He refused to allow me to rest on a stretcher nor one of the empty recliner so I could get my IV antibiotics. He pushed my wheelchair back to the waiting room . I will be sitting in that wheelchair for about another 4 hours. I asked the receptionist to please get the supervisor and she would not help me. Around 2030, I was finally taken back but it will be another hour before I would get a stretcher or my antibiotics. It was the Asian Nurse I had last week who attended to me. She not that long ago arrived and was competent in starting an IV and giving my antibiotics. The admission doctor came and spoke with me stating I was being admitted. The antibiotics were ordered at 1530, I did not receive them until 6 hours later. My leg and foot continued to increase in size and redness. I am highly disappointed in the supervisor and charge nurse’s disrespect.

Today 7/22/2022 I had an appointment with Dr. Wellman. The appointment went well, until the time came to write the prescription. Multiple prescriptions were written incorrectly. I tried to address it with the nurse. We went back and forth over 3 times. We were told by the nurse, that the doctor would not come out to fix the prescription, so we can take it or leave it, even with prescription being wrong making it useless to use. The nurse was extremely rude, disrespectful and unprofessional. I really do not appreciate the way he was talking over me. I would prefer to have a better relationship with the doctors and staff members, especially if they are responsible providing me with proper care concerning my health. I want them to listen to my concerns, and properly address my medication needs. Personally, I would not recommend this hospital, based on my experience.

We waited 9 hours in the ER. I saw 5 other people walk out who had been there for hours w no care. The nurses and NP and drs were too busy gossiping them to care about patients. Victoria the nurse who acted like she was deaf and calling everyone honey in her cocky voice was ridiculous. And Tony the charge nurse was a joke. My father fainted while walking out and all of a sudden everyone was busy. They didn’t care about any patient and didn’t even give my dad his results. They were also talking about a marine and spreading her business all at the front desk talking about her PTSD. Yes I did reach out to the integrity line and that was a joke. After spending 9 hours do you really think spending another 20 minutes would help the situation? If you’re a veteran do not come here they will only make fun of you. If you’re elderly please seek help elsewhere. If you have any sign of a pulse please save yourself!

I've been in the medical field for almost 30 years working with cancer patients. My Dad was admitted here and I've been given incorrect information over and over again. Then when I ask one nurse about something another nurse said (just to clarify things) she says we're not the doctors you need to speak to a doctor. I've tried but I haven't seen one yet that's why I'm asking y'all. So unprofessional and rude. I wish I could move my Dad but I know he's not well and moving would probably make things worse. Taking a deep breath, staying close to my Dad and putting the rest in God's hands. So much for a faith based hospital

I had the best experience at this hospital with every part of the staffing team, surgical team and experience, cleanliness, pharmacy staff, everything. I checked into the ER on Monday for vomiting and abdominal pain and although my surgery wasn't until Friday I'm grateful for how thorough my team was at making sure my symptoms weren't related to something easily treatable and that surgery was absolutely necessary. Everything about my care was thoroughly explained and I was met with compassion and understanding which was essential for me since this was my first surgical experience and being a woman I have often been turned away from hospitals with no answers and labeled as dramatic and emotional. The only area that was slower than I would have preferred is the ER but I also think that's to be expected in most hospitals especially with the symptoms and normal vitals I had. This hospital will definitely be my first pick if I ever need emergency services or surgery again. Thank you so much CHRISTUS Santa Rosa for taking such good care of me.

Do not come here for your loved ones , I did not mind the wait (we waited 6 hours) but in all that every time we asked the register how long he would get mad and say we are trying our best , we knew that already we just needed an update because my fiancé was in pain and legit couldn’t take it and they still wouldn’t do anything. Once they did take him he was waiting for an hour in the room and when he finally got the courage and get up to check what was going on they forgot they even had him in the room . I just wouldn’t recommend it we came here twice and both of those times were this same experience every time we come everyone is exhausted and rude I just feel like they need a new expertise

I went to this location and it all looks very beautiful and very clean. My doctors that chose this location were very attentive to details but have to watch out for nurses that refuse to get you Ice Chips and Water after you are recovering in their facility. The nurse in charge of my room was very nice the first day and went a got me Ice Chips and Water - second day-she self rationed me and told me one or the other could not have both Ice Chips and Water- I was in RM 4133 and cheeked out June 5th - as of today - when I get up - it is to get a bottled water instead of a cup of coffee. I feel like when I was stationed in the desert

Very great experience here at the ER with my kiddos. After so many doctors turning us away with no insurance or that were fully booked, I was a bit nervous since I thought we'd take hours to get seen but we were fortunate to get seen right away. The staff were very gentle with our kids, we were able to express our concerns and they took note of everything, the staff, to the respiratory therapists, to the vital checker, and last, but not least the pediatrician Trey, they were so great, kind and very caring to our children. I was able to get my children's needs, questions and tips on how to care for them and my concerns were resolved by him, Trey took his time examining the kids to figure out what's the best option to help care for them and also expressed what exactly was wrong with them and what's the best options for the kids. Definitely recommend. 🙂

Overall, I had an excellent experience at Christus Santa Rosa Hospital Westover Hills. Firstly, the hospital is not as busy as those around the med center area, so the place had a certain calmness from the get-go. Everyone from the nursing staff and surgical nurses to the cleaning staff were professional and upbeat, and showed genuine care in my heath and recovery. The hospital doctors made regular rounds after my surgery, and outpatient rehab rep also made it a point to visit with me during my 6-day stay which was a nice touch.

I have delivered two of my three kids at this hospital. The food is delicious, the nurses are wonderful and most of the doctors are also wonderful. The room accomodations are about what you'd expect: a bed which has the functionality of a hospital bed, private bathroom/ shower, TV, couch which can be comfortable to sleep for a significant other or guest, etc. I really appreciate the dietary department having an open kitchen so you can request food at any time during opporating hours and it will be made to order and delivered promptly. They have a bit of work to do in accommodating moms wanting to exclusively breastfeed so be prepared for that small battle depending on the nurse you get. Parking is free. The pickup / drop off round about is very spacious. They also have unlimited ice water and the delicious tiny ice such as would be found at Sonic. That was my favorite part after delivery, in addition to fresh food delivered to me.

After reviewing the ratings here, I was concerned about having surgery at this hospital. BUT I WAS COMPLETELY WRONG. Everything was exceptional before and after surgery. All the nurses were so kind and caring in pre and post-op. They made sure I was comfortable and taken care of. Great experience. The hospital was clean as well. If you're having surgery here, rest assure you will be taken care of amazingly! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

I take my daughter to the hospital for surgery this morning. Rude from the front desk, admin staff, unprofessional and feel not welcoming. Feeling threat more than gonna give service. Is this the best they can do from the front desk? That something they have to had to improve. But nurses are very nice.

Went to the ER in an ambulance because my wife was in excruciating back pain. She has a bulging disk that has been getting worse; we've been going through the process of seeing a specialist about it. After 5 hours in the ER, they try to discharge us after telling her she's fine, even though she can't sit or stand. We ask them how they expect us to take her home, like in a very literal sense. She is completely bed-locked, and we cannot get her into a car because you've done nothing but give her some mild pain medicine that's had almost no effect. The NP on staff looks at us and straight up asks us, "what do you expect me to do about it?". Really exciting to see the medical professional that is supposed to help you and volunteer possible solutions treat you like you're dumb for asking questions. If we hadn't aggressively self advocated and called a spine specialist FROM ANOTHER HOSPITAL and get them to call the ER and talk to the staff NP, we would have been kicked out. For us to get taken seriously and get any sort of pain management, we had to do the staffs job for them. They refused to admit her for unmanaged pain. Don't go here unless you're capable of aggressively self advocating and navigating the medical system unassisted.

I'm not one that ever really goes to the doctors for anything. However, I came here when I discovered I was pregnant and did all of my prenatal appointments here. Staff was always courteous and helpful. Everything was always explained thoroughly with each appointment. I also delivered here and can still say the same thing. Doctors had excellent bedside manners, and all questions and concerns i had were answered/explained. Will definitely be sticking to this place whenever the need arises! Thank you to all the staff members at this hospital!

I came here with upper stomach pain, everyone was nice and I got seen extremely quick. Ken was super nice. He did my EKG and did my IV with ease and no pain. Shout out to him. My Dr, nurse, xray tech, ultrasound tech, transport, and registration was so nice. Everyone helped ease my pain. I would definitely come back here again. Thank you much Christus staff and stay safe.

I checked into the Emergency Room this afternoon for abdominal pain and I really appreciate the care that I received here. I did have a long wait but the staff was kind, efficient and generally concerned about helping me beginning with the clerk at the desk, the triage nurse, imaging technicians were very kind and my nurse as well. The doctor I saw was a good listener and I felt heard and cared for. The ER rooms are private and clean. Would highly recommend this place above some of the others that I have been before.

Went to the ER here earlier today and was very impressed with the staff and the facility. The ER area was spotless and well-lit. Everyone from the receptionist to the triage doctor (assume that's who the staff member who asked me about symptoms/problem before having me go to exam room was), and "main" doctor, Dr. Alex Smith, who explained my results, were very professional and cheerful, even at 4-ish in the morning. All of the staff members made sure I was comfortable and ensured all my questions were answered. My only concern is that I told my nurse who my primary care doc was but when I looked at the packet that came w/ my discharge papers they had put the wrong name down (was told to follow up w/ my my primary care doc but I didn't recognize the doc on the paper who actually ended up being a pediatric cardiologist). Not the nurse's fault - I was wearing a mask so it was probably hard to hear me clearly. Suggestion, tho - staff members should either read back the info after you tell them it or let you look at it after they write it down. (I only saw the wrong doc's name was on the paper much later.) It's somewhat concerning that they recorded the wrong info. Makes me sort of wary about what else they may have gotten wrong. Other than that, tho, great experience at this location!

Doctors mis-diagnosed me twice but third times the charm. The nurse that checked me into the ER on 5/23 around 3:00AM was extremely attentive, compassionate, and during my 6 hours at the ER I observed him giving the same kind hearted treatment to every other patient there. I do not recall his name but he was tall and had dark curly hair. Bless that man as well as my nurse and the technicians that conducted all of my testing on that early morning!

I was the only one in the emergency room and two hours later they still haven’t seen me. All I needed was a shot that this hospital had. Maybe rabidness isn’t on their list of concerns. Edit: 4am to 7am wait to get a shot and still didn’t get it. I guess I’ll just risk it. Christus doesn’t care so why should I. You all need to do better. The staff complaining about not wanting to work doesn’t make it any better and I was lied to. I was told that the vaccine was ordered at 4am only for it to be ordered at 716am. How many people do you all kill a year with this type of service? As a patient I should never hear a nurse say “I need to get rid of this patient.” What?! This made me so uncomfortable. She also used the wrong needle to administer the vaccine. The paramedic on Wednesday night told me how each one should be and she was outside of what he told me. She’s a ratchet nurse.

Was visiting my family in Texas and became ill while here. Was taken to this hospital by my granddaughter and daughter for treatment. Have to say this was the best ER experience I have ever had. Didn’t have to wait long to have tests completed. From front desk to all who transported me to and from tests everyone was very professional. My RN was Michael. He made our stay in the ER as enjoyable as a visit to the ER can possibly be. He was so kind and accommodating! As a former RN I was very impressed with the care I received at this facility. Would highly recommend this hospital! Thank you!

If I could give zero, I would. The only good thing that happened was one of the day shift nurses, RN Caitlin in the Emergency room and RN Caesar. I was transferred here for emergency surgery on 6/27. The surgeons was not notified that I was in the hospital until 6/29. I did not get my surgery until 6/30. RN Michele was the most unprofessional nurse I’ve dealt with. When questioned why I had not been checked on in 6 hours her response was “I’m the lead nurse and I’ve been busy”. It took for me to raise hell, demand to speak to the surgeon and the CEO of the hospital for me to receive the proper care that I required. If given a choice, please choose another hospital. Christus at westover honestly needs an audit on their staff and some training. Very disappointed.

Everyone was so helpful caring assisted me with everything that I needed. Everybody from housekeeping to the doctors were also professional and polite. I never had to wait very long when using the call button. Doctor Ford, was a true Blessing. I appreciate her taking the time to pray with me and my sister before I went into the operating room. I'm not very fond of hospitals but this one has changed my opinion of what hospital should strive to be like.

I was so scared to delivery in this hospital after seeing the rating and reviews. I must say that I am unsure as to why it has such ratings. The hospital was lovely, the staff were friendly and supportive. Every delivery nurse I had was amazing and supportive as well as informative. The room was spacious and clean and the provide you with all the necessities post partum. The resident obstetric doctor was also lovely and did a magnificent job with my stitches. The only 2 draw backs were the lactation advisor who was the only person I felt was not very supportive or helpful to be honest and secondly, I wish my discharge summary included more details about my delivery that I ended up needing for my husbands job Overall, it was a great experience and the hospital definitely deserves a better rate

Our family member was taken to the hospital. The hospital was clean, staff was great. Nurse and case manager were great in communicating. 3 stars reflect the emergency room. We feel like we were another number and had to return for the same issue two consecutive days. Doctor that was assigned never spoke to us/called to let us know what was happening and family member was sent to a rehab (which we knew) but was never explained.

We were taken here via ambulance for my 3 month old and we had amazing service! Honestly better than the hospital in my hometown! The doc cared and listened and came in fast after we got into our room! They took an x ray which was also fast! Everything was fast and clean! I do have to say the check in nurses looked and acted like they hated their job.
