I really loved hiking here! It was late in the evening so we couldn't do a full hike. We did 2.5 miles out and 2.5 miles back with two of our chihuahuas. They loved the hike! We were also able to sleep in the parking lot, unbothered, all night long. Which was truly amazing for us oevrlanders! Beautiful sunsets as well! I will be back!

Walked the paved trail that seems to be made for any kind of pedestrian, including bikers. It was a good break in between seeing people. Maybe a few minutes in between, so its not filled with people. I went from 7:45pm-9pm. Looking forward to going through the rougher trails. Theres multiple trails that seem vast.

Very nice park with all the trails to walk you would want. I enjoyed the view once at the end of each trail. Definitely wear your hiking boots, very rocky on most paths in the woods. Really enjoyed it.. The Hike Queens had a good hike on this day!

Great place to begin two amazing bicycle rides. One Southwest on Leon Creek and the other Southeast on Salida Creek. Each one about 36 mi round trip.

Still my favorite trails to hike or walk in this city. My kids and pups love it too. We walked several miles this weekend without even realizing it. Don't forget to bring water and a collapsible water bowl if you bring your dog. Some of the trails are long. The paths and exits are clearly marked with distance and difficulty. This is an awesome feature. The lookout tower makes for great views. If you go just beyond the tree line at the bottom of the tower, you will find some more great views and additional trails. They have a playground, rock climbing wall, picnic tables, and decent restrooms at the head of the trails. There are also water fountains for people and dogs next to the playground. It's an overall great place to spend the day. ❤️

Good trails for walking/biking on 6 feet wide paved path. It joins up with Salado creek and goes for miles. Also goes by a rock climbing wall, in a really nice natural area. Nice view of the quarry at the beginning. Really enjoyed riding my bike here.

Great well maintained park and trails close to the city ( San Antonio). Lots of paved options for low impact walking and several moderate paths for hikers looking for bit more of a challenge. A fantastic get away to de-stress, relax and enjoy the outdoors. Ample parking and a play ground for the kids on site

Great place to take a hike. You need to go early or it is unbearable in the three digit heat. We got there at 8am, but 11am it was hot. Great view... Take wster and good hiking shoes, lots of rocks.

This park is one of my favorite in San Antonio. The reason is because of amount of different trails and mini adventures the park has. When going to this park you will see many different trails that loop around and take you to many different unique nature settings that is in a way comforting. The city has done a great job maintaining this park. Also, one unique thing that the city is doing is adding a new trail that connects La Cantera and Eisenhower Park Together. Overall, I would recommend this park to anyone.

Great park to hike and walk. It has a nice mix of paved and unpaved trails. It can be challenging or easy based on the path taken. It's the only access point for either Salado Creek or Leon Creek Greenway.

This is one of our favorite local hiking parks as it doesn't get to busy. It has a few challenging areas mostly flat trails. It has a beautiful view of the San Antonio from the hilltop lookout. It has a playground for kids. Pavillion and multiple restrooms. There are also areas for biking if you like that. Interesting enough the is a trail that connects to the Rim shopping area.

This is a well paved trail for running, walking, or biking. There is hardly any shade, so make sure to bring sunblock or wear proper coverage bcuz you will burned. There wasn't much for families (no playground), the restrooms available for portable potties. There wasn't much to see. The good thing about it is the wide paved trail routes and the incline/decline for training.

Seems like a great park with all amenities I think anyone could possibly want. Great trails, a really nice playground with a nice climbing wall. But to me it just seemed like a surburb to me. Lots of amenities but no soul. I'm sure some people will love this park but it just wasn't my favorite.

The trails are average - nothing special. The majority are flat with very little elevation gain. It's a good spot for people who prefer leveled and accessible paths. There are a couple of spots that allow views of the surrounding area... you can even see downtown San Antonio on a clear day (which is pretty much everyday here). Also, if you're like me and miss real mountains and real hikes, this place will not satisfy your craving.

It had been several years since I had been to this park so I'd forgotten how awesome this place is. There are several trail options and different degrees of difficulty. The scenery of the park and surrounding area is great.
