This place is totally magic, beside is the nudist part of the beach, is amazing the sensation of the sand, just walk there and feel connected with the earth I did this trip knowing nothing about the dunas y truly recommend come to this place.

The dunes are not spectacular compared to the Sahara, but they are worth visiting. The area is quite extensive and a great workout to walk in the sand and on the very long beach. We walked 8 Km. FYI - there are a lot of naked people on the beach, not my cup of tea, but whatever. Now, the area surrounding the dunes is hyper-touristic and over developed, hence the 3-star rating. It's a shame.

I cannot describe this experience in words but the pics and videos are saying basically everything. Visiting is totally worth it and I recommend going super early to watch the sunrise and/or in the evening to experience the sunset. It's just so beautiful and peaceful!

A beautiful place where you look around and see dunes everywhere, with the ocean visible in the distance. To get there, you have to walk through the RIU hotel. You can spend the whole day exploring the dunes and taking amazing photos. I highly recommend it – a must-see if you’re in Gran Canaria!

These sand dunes are different level, they’re absolutely epic. Walking across them is really tough on your legs, particularly your ankles. Sand is so soft and when it is windy, the sand shifts like no tomorrow. The views if you climb the bigger dunes are stunning. The area they cover is so vast and you’ll be shocked by how long it takes to get across them. Make sure you take some water with you because you will get thirsty.

Beautiful dunes- a bit of the Sahara in Spain. Not much shade. Some parts cordoned off but accessible dunes still lovely- great for kids to slide down. Lots of naturist sun bathers around though. Nearby beach to cool off- which is very handy! And a little cafe by the dunes and lots nearer the lighthouse end.

The Dunes are absolutely stunning and a must-visit when in Gran Canaria. The vast expanse of golden sand is both serene and vibrant, attracting visitors from all over. It’s such a unique place, perfect for snapping amazing photos or just relaxing and soaking in the beauty. It's worth climbing one of the taller dunes - the panoramic views from up there are incredible, even though walking on the soft sand is a bit of a workout. If you’re planning to do this, however, comfortable shoes, sunscreen, and a hat are essential because the sun and hot sand can be intense. One thing I loved was the long walk from the dunes to the Maspalomas Lighthouse. It’s a beautiful, scenic route, and you get even more fantastic views along the way. Just a heads-up: if you stick close to the water, there’s a stony section that can be tricky to navigate. Whether you go for the views, the adventure, or the peaceful vibe, the Dunes of Maspalomas are unforgettable. I highly recommend including this amazing spot to your trip itinerary.

Spectacular dunes, nice to walk on irrespective of the weather. Normally, the pathways are marked, but I have seen lots of people/tourism in the restricted access area as well.
