We
have
just
returned
from
a
fabulous
week
at
Riu
Gran
Canaria.
The
Hotel
service
was
amazing,
nothing
is
too
much
trouble.
When
we
arrived
everything
was
explained
about
where
to
eat,
and
other
services
offered.
Our
cases
were
taken
to
our
room
for
us.
I
have
a
few
medical
conditions,
which
means
I
have
poor
mobility
and
also
I
need
access
to
medication
daily
from
a
freezer.
The
medication,
the
dining
room
staff
took
care
of
for
me
and
I
have
to
say
all
the
dining
room
staff
have
been
beyond
helpful
and
kind
offering
superb
service.
In
particular
Ivan
who
also
took
care
of
my
gluten
free
needs
and
retrieved
my
medication
most
days.
He
offered
me
gluten
free
toast
in
the
mornings
and
also
said
I
could
have
pasta
and
other
gluten
free
options
if
requested
the
evening
before.
However
there
was
a
vast
array
of
choice
in
the
dining
rooms.
On
our
first
evening,
although
we
had
been
given
a
kind
gesture
of
a
free
upgrade,
we
were
not
that
keen
on
our
room.
It
was
a
bit
noisy
for
us.
My
husband
told
the
reception
team,
who
then
moved
us
to
a
quieter
room
with
no
fuss
what
so
ever.
They
were
also
kind
and
courteous.
Getting
around
the
hotel
with
a
scooter
is
no
problem
what
so
ever,
I
took
mine,
but
I
saw
others
who
hired
scooters
there.
There
is
a
very
near
taxi
rank
literally
just
outside
the
drive
and
the
taxi
drivers
know
the
island
well.
We
used
these
and
my
scooter
folded,
fit
in
the
back
no
problem.
If
you
need
a
disabled
taxi
reception
can
arrange
for
you.
There
was
a
mixed
age
range
of
people
from
older
couples
to
younger
families.
There's
plenty
of
things
to
do,
the
animation
team
try
to
cater
for
all,
crazy
games,
French
boules,
aqua
fit,
salsa,
art,
darts,
volleyball.
The
animation
team
take
great
care
to
try
to
involve
everyone
and
are
great
fun.
The
whole
team
were
again
amazing
and
helpful,
I
cant
remember
all
their
names,
but
Eva
looked
after
us
well
in
art
most
of
our
week
and
Saki
and
Gemma
were
alot
of
fun
playing
games.
We
didn't
see
much
of
the
children
entertainers
but
saw
quite
a
few
of
the
team
in
the
shows,
which
again
were
amazing!
They
work
so
hard
and
I
can't
believe
how
much
energy
they
have!
Our
room
was
kept
spotless
and
you
can
request
bed
change
by
leaving
a
card
on
your
bed.
Towels
on
the
floor
are
replaced.
The
cleaning
team
again
are
so
polite
and
lovely
and
always
say
'Ola'
as
you
walk
by.
We
had
an
issue
in
our
room
with
the
plug
in
the
basin
sticking,
I
mentioned
to
the
domestic
team
and
said
we
can
manage,
but
you
might
like
to
do
before
the
next
guests
arrive.
It
was
fixed
within
the
hour!.
The
bar
staff
were
also
fantastic.
I
found
the
cocktails
not
really
to
my
taste,
so
I
came
up
with
allsorts
of
concoctions
and
the
bar
staff
were
more
than
happy
to
meet
my
weird
and
wonderful
requests.
In
particular
the
more
mature
(sorry
I
forgot
your
name)
barman
at
the
liquid
bar
was
alot
of
fun.
It
was
our
32nd
Wedding
Anniversary
while
we
were
staying,
and
the
hotel
very
kindly
sent
a
bottle
of
bubbles
and
2
glasses
to
our
room.
That
was
a
very
kind
gesture.
Sunbeds
are
plentiful,
if
you
are
not
particular
about
your
exact
position,
you
have
no
issues
finding
sunbeds
at
any
time
of
day.
There's
an
area
with
no
children
which
is
a
bit
busier
with
infinity
pool,
but
there's
a
children's
area
too
with
a
plane
and
other
things
in
the
pool.
Then
an
area
where
there
are
2
pools
for
all
in
the
centre,to
the
side
of
the
hotel
is
a
quieter
area
with
one
pool.
We
left
the
hotel
a
few
times,
on
our
anniversary
we
had
a
meal
at
one
of
the
restaraunts
further
along
the
promenade.
If
you
go
along
the
promenade
you
reach
the
lighthouse.
There's
shops
along
there
too
and
a
supermarket.
You
can
access
this
easily
by
scooter
going
through
the
gate
at
the
back
of
the
hotel.
There's
a
ramp
for
scooters
near
the
purple
bar.
We
also
went
to
a
market
in
Peurto
de
Mogan.
If
you
don't
want
to
leave
the
hotel
there
is
plenty
to
do
all
week.
You
can
access
the
timetable
via
RIU
app
or
by
touch
screens
in
reception.
Thankyou
RIU
Gran
Canaria
and
all
your
staff
are
amazing
