Location - perfect Rooms - clean and comfortable Service - nice and helpful Food - there is something for everyone Pools - amazing Gardens - You can walk few hours between palm trees and it still will be fantastic experience. Everything was great and if we ever go back to Gran Canaria we will choose this hotel again. One minus for too expensive parking (16 euros per day) and no chance of parking on the street (only a few places and always occupied).

It’s definitely a good hotel but not really the 5 stars it claims. Run by the management to make life easier for themselves to some extent. For example, we booked a family trip of 14 people. When we come for evening dinner, it’s obviously hard to find enough table space for 14 folks and we were having to stand around waiting, so we proposed that we booked a specific time for them to have a table ready for us. But the management rules don’t allow this! So much for having a customer focus. Or another example, I went to use the gym at 7:30am. But it only opens at 9am. Customer focus missing again. Small things, I know, but I’m comparing my expectations versus a claim of a 5 star hotel. Currently looking for a sun bed at 10am and I count over 25 sun beds here in the sun that people have “reserved” with towels but not a single person in sight using them. Again, not my idea of a 5 star experience. Just needs better management I’m sure we will have a wonderful time here. Just small irritations along the way.

Excellent location, great rooms, modern and clean. Cleaning service is good, the buffet is the best we've had and especially at this size, and the staff is extremely nice and helpful. Stuff to pay attention to: - This place is huge, with tons of people. We like it but it's not for everyone. - Plan your dinners ahead, restaurants get fully booked quickly

Amazing resort, breathtaking numerous swimming pools and the views onto the Atlantic Ocean. Our room was spacious and modern looking, the place was clean in general and well looked after. The only thing they should improve is quality of food in the diner buffet. The food was really nice in the Italian restaurant which is part of the resort, however quite pricey. In general, however, we'd stat again, but without half board most likely

The hotel is a dream, but unfortunately completely overcrowded. The rooms are comfortable, the garden is very well maintained, there are many pools, the largest of which could also pass as a small lake. The food is okay. The problem is that there are literally thousands of guests who are always bumping into each other everywhere; the garden is huge, but the sun loungers are tightly packed together and, although prohibited, are already "reserved" with towels early in the morning. Two complaints about this yielded nothing. The feeding of the crowds is done in waves, at check-in you are assigned times when you can have breakfast and dinner. Nevertheless, there are always long queues in front of the restaurant and unkind crowds at the buffet. Relaxation in the garden suffers due to the constant noise and density. Only a few places offer sea view. Artificial lawn... Overall, not a 5 star experience.

This Hotel is luxurious, the staff are so helpful and the dining choices are plentiful. There's the added bonus of the Spa and Casino. The beach with Lighthouse and promenade is a busy area that accommodates luxury shops and restaurants. The hotel resort has several swimming pools and lounge areas that are well maintained. The garden Trees provide sheltered areas for the sun shy and the beautiful smell of Jasmine at night relaxes your senses. The temperature over the Christmas holiday was 26° and sunny everyday, it was stormy one night and cloudy the next day but mostly pleasant. I would stay here again for a winter break.

24 hours into my stay and I can say only one staff member was friendly. Arrived around 1500, explained during check in I wanted to grab lunch on property before going to my room, no mention that I would be hard pressed to find a place to eat. After 2 locations telling my party no, we sat by the infinity pool and we were greeted by a stressed staff who made us feel like a burden. All our orders were wrong and then made to feel as though it was our issue. Went to order more and told the kitchen was closed, no food available on the property. Woke up hoping for a better experience, only to find no coffee in the room, no service at the pool. Didn’t see a staff member from 1100-1230 (writing this at 1245- still no staff around). Called the front desk asking for help putting an umbrella up, waited on hold for more than 15 mins, then met with indifference. My friend ended up finding another guest to help. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! We have 5 more days here, trying to find a place to move to so we don’t have to deal with this horrible service. This place makes you feel like you are a burden and not a guest.

This is a lovely hotel in a great location. The rooms are large and modern, the pools and spa are lovely, everything is very clean, and the evening entertainment is good fun. However I found the food / buffet could have been better, there are not enough lifts, and the parking costs €16 a day! I don't consider this a true 5* experience, but I would consider staying again.

Beautiful resort, relaxed atmosphere, central location, nice and clean rooms, well kept gardens and many different pools and pool areas to choose from, with or without shade. You can sunbathe amongst plenty of people by the huge infinity pool with an artificial beach, or you can find your own beautiful, private and secluded spot somewhere around the big island that you can swim around. The biggest pools are a bit cold, but that’s understandable because of their huge size. If you first start with the smaller and not so cold pool, you can acclimate before going into the big and cold pools. If you want to have lunch or dinner outside the resort, you can choose between the busy beachfront or the relaxed, nice and reasonably priced restaurants just across the street from the main entrance. It’s expensive but worth the cost, if you want quality and not pretentiousness.

Great hotel, lots of space for everyone. Yes it’s busy, but it’s how you deal with that which will make a difference to your holiday. Personally I think the restaurant is too small for the size of the hotel, so we ate out each night instead, which was a much nicer experience. Everyone that complains about the restaurant being a free-for-all is quite right, there’s just no organisation, and people push in front of others. The sunbeds are an issue, but if you go down before 9am then you will be fine. Other than that, this hotel is in a perfect location and is a great holiday.

Excellent hotel, well located close to a wonderful sandy beach. Note that you never really need to leave the premises though given the 100 metre infinity pool, a river pool and at least three others including the Spa. There are a choice of restaurants, one being a very substantial buffet service for breakfast and dinner. The hotel arranges evening entertainment and a sequence of activities that guests can freely participate in including aqua aerobics and yoga. A perfect place for rest and relaxation in October...

Absolutely the best place we have been too for a long time. Kids liked the pool as it is around 4 and a half feet to five feet deep. So they felt comfortable swimming farther out and could still stand in case they wanted to. By the way, farther out in this pool really means that as it is about 100 to 120 meters in length. For me the best part is the Starbucks location right at the hotel. I am a coffee addict :-) and absolutely love Starbucks. In our opinion the only thing that would make this place better is if it was free……just kidding. There is absolutely nothing they should change, it is a perfect little paradise.

Absolutely amazing hotel, staff are always very friendly and it's a very clean and safe hotel. Located looking right at the sea-front from the pool. We have stayed at this hotel for the past two years, and we are looking to rebook for next year already. Breakfast has a good selection they even offer champagne, but it can be very busy trying to manoeuvre around the food service area.

This hotel is just gorgeous! We spent 1/2 day at the spa downstairs and wow, It was a treat! They have over 12 different spa rooms so you feel really relaxed after spending time here. You have to call to make a reservation in advance. If you want to use the spa and it costs 45€ per person to get in. If you are a spa person or looking for a spa on the island, this place is it! They have a body shampoo in the shower and some complementary water and coffee in the spa area.

Can't fault this place at all! We got an absolutely fantastic last minute deal through Easyjet and were blown away by the facilities and everything the resort has to offer. The breakfast is busy, but it's managed with Army precision and the food is plentiful and fantastic! Super clean and tidy facilities, the main pool was simply incredible. I've never seen a pool like it! It was huge! If I had ONE teeny tiny criticism, it's that the aircon was set to a minimum of 22c and there was no option to go lower than that. As a Brit, 22c is pretty warm and so we found sleeping a bit uncomfortable! As most of the clientele are from Germany and Russia, I think it would make sense to allow people the option of adjusting their Aircon lower than this. It might be cool for those who live in warmer climates, but it was a bit uncomfortable tbh. I wouldn't hesitate to go back though If we returned to GC!

Nice hotel, stayed here in 2022. Big hotel, restaurants are nice, well located, pool is very big but a little on the cooler side. The room we had was spacious and cleaned to a good standard daily.

The location is perfect. Better than Lopesan Baobab. The shower gel smells so freaking good, it’s unbelievable. I always buy some bottles at the reception for at home. The food at the restaurant is fine, but it depends on the day. The ‘sand’ and the paths next to the pool can be a little painful for a week. So I always wear sneakers. There is a big club under the casino (it took me 4 years to notice). Pro tip: Don’t sit on the edge of the infinity pool.

Awesome hotel and staff. It's a huge hotel complex, but it has been designed in a way that you never feel part of a crowd. The pools are fantastic and the Gym offers more options to get moving. You might need that as there are many good options for dinner and lunch, a great breakfast buffet. Staff is friendly and professional wherever you go. Strongly recommend the Spa. Book asap the services are in high demand. Really enjoyed my week at the Lopesan

Rooms good, would be much improved if there was a little sink downstairs. Bit of a pain going upstairs to wash out cups after having a drink. Great staff I bit far out, but good free transport, and taxis very cheap, and ready available

Have just returned from a fantastic week in this excellent hotel. On arrival i was pleasantly surprised with just how nice the hotel was and how friendly other guests were. On check in we were told that we had missed the last slots in the restaurant so food had been left in our room. Our room was very pleasant with an excellent view looking over the gym and spas pool area. There is a stocked mini bar, safe and dressing gowns. The whole hotel is incredibly nice with majority of the staff being pleasant and helpful. The location is excellent but a little quiet out front at night. The buffet restaurant was very stylish and the food was always good with plenty of choice. The main pool bar serves excellent food too. It's very close to the beach. The hotel gym is great with lots of equipment and plenty of space. The hotel grounds are constantly being tended to which keeps the place looking good. The main pool area does get busy with people reserving loungers but on one occasion a member of staff came and removed them and left a note regarding the rules. I would recommend it highly and do plan to return next year. The cat that hangs around the pool is also very friendly once it gets used to you.

The hotel is great, it's a great choice for relaxation. The premises are new and there's a big range of places to relax. They offer various pools, so the guests are not concentrated in one place only. There's enough comfortable sun beds for everyone and the hotel offers a great choice of activities both during the day and evening. In terms of the food, there's a great variety in the buffet, so it wasn't repeatable at all. The only thing is that we were supposed to get 2 dinners a-la-carte but when we wanted to book that on our 3rd day of the stay, it was all reserved, so we could not experience that at all. Apart from that, there was no water available at dinner (only at extra charge)

Definitely as beautiful as in the photos. Make sure to take time to explore the resort, its many pools and the shopping center. If I’m ever here again I would definitely book a spa experience. Also don’t skip the online check-in otherwise you’re in for a long wait.

Came with the family and booked two rooms for a week. By far the best family vacation we have been on. Everything was perfect. The service is amazing, the cleaning crew for the rooms are super friendly and do a fantastic job. The wait staff at the restaurants/buffet are incredible, always super friendly and providing baby chairs for my kids. We are already planning when we can come back again. Thank you very much for the wonderful memories that my family will have for a lifetime.

The pools here are so amazing along with the service provided by the outside staff. They are very kind and patient- I visited multiple times throughout 2018-2019. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the food was absolutely delicious and the hotel is located right next to the Maspalomas walkway, which connects it to the beach and other restaurant. The hotel is very beautiful, clean, organized and spacious. A very luxurious and amazing hotel at affordable prices. The experience is wonderful, and often times there are events outside such as live music and performers, providing entertainment. The spa here is beyond amazing and is one of the best spas I have ever been to. I had planned on returning 2020, yet my plans were cancelled by the Pandemic.

The resort is very nice, and the Lago pool is phenomenal! The room is very cozy and clean. The bed is the best part, really comfortable and nice! The shower is very good and with good water pressure. The service is also very good. The reception is always with someone there to help you. The room service is always very good, keeping the room very organized and clean and changing the towels everyday. The breakfast is very good and it has very good options. The only point to complain is the croissants, they are really bad! The bars around the pools are also very good and with great cocktails and normal prices. I would complain about the lobby bar, it is really messy and you probably won't be able to order anything there, because there aren't enough employees. I would also complain about the toiletries. The toilet paper is the cheapest and thinnest one possible. The paid price is fair, but I wouldn't see so many advantages for Unique rooms payers. I would definitely return to Gran Canaria, but only is it is to have a stay in Lopesan Costa Meloneras.

Amazing resort with top service and facilities! Everything is well thought out and the breakfast buffet is wonderful, just get up early to avoid the crowds. Our room was clean and very comfortable with a balcony overlooking the Lucy landscaping and the lazy River pool. At night they have entertainment in the main plaza which is beautiful and the rooms are sound proof so you are not disturbed by the sound

The hotel and staff is truly amazing! It was one of the best hotels we ever stayed in and the price per night is truly amazing for what you get! The breakfast is awesome and the hotel offers a 24h grocery store in the hotel itself! 3 different Restaurants to dine in and 5!! Pools! It is directly at the beach and a true botanical wonder!

This place was absolutely first class. The only reason I have dropped one star on the rooms is that you can hear your higher and lower neighbours moving their chairs around on their balconies. All other aspects of the rooms were excellent. If they just fitted silencing material to the bottom of the chairs and tables on the balconies it would be 100%. (I am totally nitpicking here!) I wholeheartedly recommend this resort.

We have spent a great week in the wonderful hotel. Everything is clean and the service was excellent, we would certainly go back. Rooms are modern, a good size with air con & mini fridge. Location is excellent. The pools are fantastic, great for swimming or just having a relax. Its a big hotel but the staff cope very well. Thank you for a great holiday.

This hotel and its facilities are absolutely amazing. We visited here in Feb 2022 while the outside temperature was around 20C, the outdoors pools were heated to a perfect temperature for these weather conditions. The staff is very friendly and the food is also excellent. Even being trapped in the elevator for 30 mins on our last day doesn’t make me want to deduct a star from this 5 star review. 👌🏻

Fabulous hotel, immaculate, dining room is beautifully renovated and the food is excellent. Our only gripe was the constant noise - music on loud all day every day and often from several different areas at the same time - not really relaxing and luxurious. Very noisy at night with the live entertainment. Lunch options are limited but plenty to do outwith the hotel - good bars and tapas nearby.

  • 4/5 Daniel P. 2 years ago on Google
I came for a week, and I have been impressed with the service and amenities at the resort. Plenty of sun loungers are available and there is no need to reserve. Staff are welcoming and always around. Rooms clean and well maintained. The only bad point for me was that my room faced over the outdoor eating area and outdoor stage for entertainment. This meant a lot of noise early in the morning and till gone 12 at night

  • 5/5 Surindra M. 1 year ago on Google
A truly amazing resort with something for everyone. Palatial building and lobby. Expansive well manicured grounds and environs. Immaculate pools. Close to amenities, if you needed any, some high end shops. Live entertainment. Food is to die for, and perhaps the layout of those 13 or so stations can be finessed to reduce queues at the most in demand.

  • 5/5 Vojtech R. 2 years ago on Google
Just wow. The whole resort is exceptionally thought through, everything works like a clockwork. If you want to have a big hotel-complex experience (in a good way), just do it. We loved it. Also a very cool detail - you get an armband with a chip instead of a card which you use throughout the stay as a room card and to pay in different parts of the hotel. Very practical.
