First time eating at Haney's Cafe. We had cheese burgers and fries, they were really good. The service was outstanding! Karen M. was super friendly and very fast. Thank you Karen!

Best Lunch I’ve had in a long time. We had the Cobb Salad with Blue Cheese Dressing and the Cranberry Chicken Salad with a Raspberry Vinaigrette. It was so fresh and a generous size portion. Excellent and filling!

I've visited about 6 times in the last few years. While I don't stop in a lot, it is a nice little spot to get breakfast. We've eaten on the patio with the puppies a few times (yes, dog friendly). Servers have always been accommodating and friendly. The food is consistent and any complaints we have are minimal. All in all a great place to stop for breakfast. We will be back.

Haneys Café is a charming restaurant. Very clean, the service is great and the food is also very good. Got the biscuits, gravy, eggs and hashbrowns. Was hot and full of flavor. Will be back. Of course I came back and got the same thing. Food was hot, tasty, plentiful and a great price. This is definitely the hidden gem Of Ft. Myers. On the morning of 11/14/22 I witnessed his café making over 1000 meals for the local Red Cross. How outstanding and how very giving. Came back for Breakfast on September 16 2023 at 8:30 AM. The biscuits and gravy that I usually get were actually cold. Had send them back to be reheated. And the eggs Benedict my wife got was also lukewarm and the eggs had a too strong of a vinegar taste to them. Might be a new chef. Houston we have a potential problem. I ordered the biscuits and gravy and home fries. Haneys, please ensure the food coming out from the kitchen is hot. Not cold, not lukewarm, but hot. Had a few instances where I had to send the food back to be heated up in the microwave. Hotness is your friend.

Amazing brunch. Love the patio! I have gone twice since being on vaca and the breakfast scrambler and burger have been so tasty! Service was wonderful and I highly suggest the mimosas and Bloody Mary.

I've recently moved back to the immediate area. I like a good breakfast spot to start my day. This place is convenient to my residence. It's in a strip mall, typical Florida. Outdoor and indoor seating. They offer breakfast and lunch with a BBQ flair. The staff seems friendly enough. I got the brisket and eggs and it was ok, the brisket was a bit over done and the hashbrowns were underdone, but edible. I had to work later that day so I got a BLT to go. My BLT came out, I asked for coleslaw, I got fries,, that got fixed, no problem, and I was on my way. I got home to see a big finger press in the middle of my sandwich. Upon opening the sandwich I saw about 1 1/2 - to 2 slices of over killed bacon some lettuce and a couple of slices of tomato. It sounds like a BLT. It could be considered a BLT but it certainly isn't a nice sandwich. If this is their idea of a BLT, DONT ORDER IT. You'll be left hungry and disappointed come lunch. Oh well, I gave it a try. It'll be a bit before I spend money on that. I've had their corned beef hash and eggs and it was decent. Biscuits and gravy are somewhat inconsistent. Nobody is perfect, hopefully they hone their skills.

Must be a long-standing nice place to eat because it's still open and it seemed that most of the other stores in this mall were shuttered run down or not open at this time. On the day we stopped the place seemed busy and it took a while for our three dishes to come out but when they did they were hot and seemed freshly made. The servers were older which might speak to why this place was open as these folks tend to come to work on a regular basis as opposed to servers at a another breakfast place further north that seem to be staffed by college students. I had their famous Reuben and it was really good I think they make it with a little bit of butter haha check it out for yourself you'll enjoy it

First impressions weren’t great, multiple people just kind of stared at us instead of greeting us until the woman in tattoos finally came up and sat us. She wasn’t very inviting but wasn’t rude, just not the kind of friendliness you expect for the front entrance. She was quick to get us drinks after seating us though. Our service was decent, the lady seemed stressed but took care of us. She even offered me tomato slices instead of bread since they didn’t have GF bread, which was nice and their tomatoes were good quality. I ordered the avocado scramble which was just ok, pretty bland. The avocado was good and eggs cooked well. My daughters kids cheeseburger and fries were really good. I like the batter they use for their fries, good stuff. Throughout the meal I saw the employees chattering together and they all seemed super friendly together and my advice is to pass that great friendly interactions on to your customers as it sure would make a difference. Seems like a family spot and would give it another shot. Limited GF options. The place was pretty clean and light music, overall didn’t blow us away but didn’t do terrible in any area.

We have eaten breakfast here many times but the food quality is average at best. The quality of the products that they use is similar to what you would find at McDonald's. Unfortunately there are no better breakfast options in the area.

Definitely a hidden gem tucked away from major Highway. Once entering you are immediately welcomed with a hello and a smile. First time, but not the last. The food (especially the amount served) was tasty and delicious. We had Sandy (ask for her) as our server. Pleasant, best laugh ever and so personable. She checks in and made you feel like you were her only customer, which is huge nowadays! Please give this place a chance, I promise you will not be disappointed and will be a repeated customer!

In estero visiting for father's day and came here for the first time this morning and boy it was good. Love the atmosphere and the food and service was great. Wish this cafe was over on the East Coast! I'd be here a few times a week! Highly recommend coming here if you want a great breakfast

I can see why so many restaurants have a hard time finding good workers. This must be the only restaurant in SWFL that does pickup orders based on your order, not your name. Which is pretty funny considering that they ask you for your name when you order... Both myself and another guy (delivery driver) were stunned at how bad the service was and how backwards the system seemed to be. They seemingly lost my order, because they couldn't figure out that, "Avocado Toast and Big Breakfast," just might have been the same order as, "Skinny Avocado Toast and Big Breakfast." You would think they'd even ask, "Was it a skinny or regular?" Nope, just straight from one person to another as if it was a mystery fit for Sherlock Holmes. The 2 times I've done a pickup have been the worst experience. Took about as long to pickup the food as it probably took to make it. I'm not even sure how that's possible. Both times there had to have been 5 people shoulder to shoulder all seemingly doing nothing and just looking at one another. You would think they would get a second kiosk so at least they could process orders faster... Must be another mystery to solve on another day! I can only assume the same people are the ones responsible for running the toaster... 🤣🤣🤣 I'll go back for dine-in because the food is honestly great the older waitresses are hilarious, and great at their job as well!

They provide the backbone of San Carlos Park by making sure workers are fed every single morning with a hot meal and fresh coffee. It's delicious, plentiful for the cost, and made with fresh ingredients. Once you step in, you're overtaken with a classic diner nostalgia that tells you that you're going to leave happy. I couldn't make a food recommendation because it's all so dang good.

Food was great at fair prices. Refills on coffee, which is a plus for me. Outdoor sitting. Family friendly. Definitely will return. My 7 yr old was so pleased on how juicy his burger was.

I have been a frequent customer recently, as my work location is near Haneys. I visit this place maybe once a month. The service and food has been great so far, but today the service experience was not great. The manager Cathy Hernandez, approached my table (as I was having lunch with a coworker/friend) and stated my bill was not “paid” 2 weeks because my credit card was “declined”. I was honestly confused. She then proceeded by saying that “I was sitting in the patio and that the server told her I matched the description of the customer.”1. I was 99.9%. I wasn’t that customer, 1% unsure because like I mentioned before, I do visit this location and things happen (but I did checked my charge from the month before and it was processed). 2. We don’t ever sit in the patio. 3. You ask before you assume. Cathy’s approach was very unprofessional. If a customer’s credit card is declined at time of service, you resolve the issue at the moment. Approaching customers that “match the description” is very unprofessional, specially when someone is trying to enjoy their meal. Today’s experience left a bad taste, and I don’t think I can come back due to this “manager” unprofessional approach.

My wife and I have been weekly customers for well over 10 years and the food has always been descent and the service had been excellent by their experienced servers, until the "season" begins, then the new help arrives. On arrival my wife ordered a sweet tea. Server Btittany brought a glass of tea. My wife tasted the tea and said to me, " this is not sweet tea". She went to the ladies room and asked me to exchange it for a sweet tea. When Brittany came by I asked her to exchange this for a glass of sweet tea. She said it was sweet tea. I said it wasn't please bring a sweet tea. She said "if I bring you another it will be the same thing because it came from the sweet tea bin". I said "Then something is wrong because this is not sweet tea, just taste it, and bring back a glass of sweet tea". she took the glass and left. My wife returned, the manager came by and asked if something was wrong. I explained the above. She left and returned with a glass of sweet tea. No apology from either of them. Brittany never returned, probably went to a safe space. The manager, to her credit, completed serving our meal, again no apology. Instead the manager said that I shouldn't have complained because other customers may have heard us. Sorry to say that this is not typical of the service I previously received at Haney's. This could all have been avoided if Brittany would have been trained to say, "Sorry, I'll bring you a sweet tea", instead of trying to convince me that she didn't screw up.

My husband had the brisket sandwich with fries. Delicious and huge. Took half home for tomorrow. I had the 2 egg and ham breakfast with poached eggs, home fry potatoes and toast. All cooked perfectly. I, also had leftovers to take home. The servers are down to earth, pleasant and fun. Ownership has been present and working the last few times we were there. Can tell it is a neighborhood favorite and most folks seemed like repeats. Restaurant was busy but well served. Reasonable prices and caring staff.

Kicked out of Haney's Cafe! A friend and I took my wife out for a birthday breakfast to Haney's Cafe, our favorite local breakfast place. We have been patronizing Haney's since they first opened in the motel across the street many years ago. We ordered our usual breakfast including the Greek Scramble for my wife. What she received was definitely not the Greek Scramble but scramble tasting more Tex-Mex. When we told the server the breakfast was wrong the manager came over and argued with us that it was correct. Considering how often we eat there, we know what we ordered and this wasn't it. The manager continued to argue it was correct and became very rude about it. I insisted she take it back and please make what we ordered. When the manager returned with the new breakfast she informed us it was made on separate plates so we could put the scramble together ourselves and see what we ordered. She also told us she would wait at the table while we ate it. We asked her to please leave our table and told her it was rude to stand there to watch us eat. She refused. That is when I told her she needs to go back to managers school to learn how to treat customers. At this point the server jumped in and scolded me about telling the manager what to do. At this point, the manager took all of the food off the table and told us to leave. Anyone who knows me knows, I am a huge supporter of local businesses here in San Carlos Park and it pains me to have to say, I will no longer eat at what was once, prior to this, my favorite breakfast restaurant.

Wonderful neighborhood cafe. Nice servers and great food. I ordered the big breakfast, with ham, bacon and sausage links. You also get toast and hash browns. Everything was cooked to perfection and was delicious.

Walked in as any patron would. Then a woman walked in maybe 2-3min after. We both waited and the sever asked “how many” to the woman. The woman then responded “outside” same as me. Sat down by a sever named Penny who took the drink order and also the woman’s and another party. She then returned, Penny gave the woman her drinks first, my table’s, then the other parties. She then proceeded to say “your server will be right with you” to my party and also to the woman. 3min later Penny appeared again and took the woman’s order so I stated nicely “we were first” and Penny vehemently responded “y’all were seated at the same time” at this point I was upset and asked my guest did he want to leave in which he didn’t. Of course the woman got everything first and she even stated when Penny walked away “you guys WERE here first.” My issue is that instead of saying sorry or I apologize which I would’ve been fine with me. Penny took it personal and tried defending her poor action. This is poor service to have visibly taking offense. A Manager came to the table. Very professional, nice, and apologetic about the experience which I appreciated. I don’t want to believe that we were being hackled because of anything else but you do have to question why was she so vehemently against our party solely. Oh yeah! The food was great as usual. My own server didn’t really seem to really like her job either. She was okay. But Penny definitely needs an attitude adjustment. It doesn’t hurt to be nice to others.

Fresh breakfast, and make sure you order the apple cider donuts as an appetizer. My kids loved the stuffed crepes and my husband and I loved the Greek skillet.

Best breakfast in our part of Ft. Myers. Reasonably priced. Servers are great. If you go for breakfast, try the brisket & eggs, my hubby's favorite. Open 7 days. This is a breakfast-lunch place.

First visit for breakfast while camping at the state park and definitely impressed. Arrival at 6 am and first customer. Vegetable omelette was perfect and home fries best ever had. Will definitely be back on future visits to the area.
