Excellent hostel! Very cozy, clean hostel, run by three very nice sisters. Great value, including large breakfast. Internet is a bit weak, but the other perks make up for that! Kitchen to cook. Great group of people coming through the entire time. I would definitely recommend this hostel to others and will hopefully stay here again!

From my point of view CASA MONAD doesn't deserve 3*. It's extremely cold place. After one week I had a bad cold so I decided to ask for 2 weeks refund and fund better place to recover from my cold. It didn't work out so I was a "prisoner" of 3 ladies just because I made my payment for 4 weeks when I checked in. Very poor Internet. Breakfast served on roof terrace so for 4 weeks I stuffed myself with cold scrambled eggs and pancakes. They also have no respect to your privacy. On my door I left a message. Trusting my translator it was in Spanish "Do not disturb, please". My room was visited during my absence. Washing my dishes after breakfast was also something new to me. Booking Casa Monad ruined my stay in SAN CRISTOBAL DE LAS CASAS.

The room was dump / stale. I woke up in the morning with bites from bed bugs. :( When we got back to our room it smelled after bleach. Location is very good, but quality of our room was really bad. Room was basement like - with no window. Also cold. Not recommended from our side even thou it is very cheap accommodation posted on booking.

This hostel was such a to stay at. The breakfast is just great, people at the reception really helpful, the kitchen has everything to prepare your own food and the patio is a beautiful place to hang out. The walls between some of the rooms are very thin, so take care that you are not too loud later at night.

Amazing place in awesome city. I really don't know what are people moaning about. Everything is written in description. It's cold here yeah.. shocking in two thousand meters 🤣 it's actually nice change after boiling in sea level latitudes

Amazing hostel/ b&b. Awesome breakfast. Really friendly staff, although English isn't a strong point, but Google translate helps a lot. The rooms are nice, cleaned daily and spacious with tv and communal kitchen plus fridge. The only downside is that it gets really cold at night, but the beds do have plenty of blankets.

I was so lucky to book this place. Right in the middle of everything, 10 minutes to the old market, 10 minutes to downtown. The terrace is the best! The kitchen is here so you can always enjoy the view while having a meal. Kitchen bailable, hot water, cozy and simple rooms. Bring cash, cc are not accepted. Very recomendable!

Good value of money. People were nice and helpful. Breakfast was mini buffet, toast, fried eggs, fruits and coffee. I would come back again next time.

Perfect place for backpackers ! 👍🏻 The breakfast is delicious and the central patio is a very nice place to chill (light and cheerful). We loved it ! You can also use the kitchen. Just be aware that there is no real windows to the rooms (but they’re well-arranged and comfy ☺️) and that the shared bathrooms don’t allow much privacy. We have spend a very good time there and we would recommend it for any traveller with a small budget !

Enjoyed my stay here, cheap rates and decent breakfast included. Facilities are clean and tidy. The dorm rooms are only separated by thin ply so it's like being in the same room - which noisy neighbours don't seem to unserstand. Still, nice place and run by two lovely ladies.
