This place is a complete SCAM! The wife, Sarah will happily take your money and lead you to believe you are confirmed with the reservation. When you arrive, you will quickly discover her ex-husband resides at the property and there was never any intentions to rent out the property. When asked to have our money returned, she stated she has already spent it. I notified her that I would be reporting her to the sheriff and she stated if we would wanted our money back, we'd have to request it from her ex-husband, which supposedly never got a cut of the funds. Save yourself the headaches of being disappointed and going through the stress of reversing the funds with your bank and filing a police report. I always heard about AirBnB scams but never thought it would happen to me. (Photos attached of the property clearly not ready to be rented out.)

Absolutely stellar experience! The grounds are some of the most beautiful I've seen this side of the Mississippi. Usually pictures hype up the venue, but the real thing is a thousand times more stunning! Nothing but good words for the team here. Everything is tidy, well kept, and furnished to the most exquisite degree. Definitely planning another event here in the future! Not to mention the views you have from the end of the house, and the help you get from the grounds keeper in navigating everything. If I could do 6/5 stars, I would!!!

I want to come back here for my wedding! This feels like a fairytale mansion. The breathtaking views alone are worth the visit, let alone how nice the furniture and decor are inside. Attended an event here and was blown away. The staff was incredibly accommodating. Skylar the groundskeeper provided EXCELLENT customer service!!

Amazing wedding venue with amazing views. I would totally recommend this venue if you want to have an intimate setting for a wedding with family. Jessica was an amazing help and she exceeded well beyond anything we could ask or imagine. Totally blessed to have met her!

Absolutely fantastic home with better customer service

The place is amazing. I was blown away by how beautiful and luxurious the place is. The view was amazing and the interior of the house is massive. We were a massive party and space was never an issue. Perfect for events or a lavish getaway. Highly recommend

The view from this place alone is worth the fee. Amazing house. Amazing owner. We all had such a great time at Chateau Escondido!

Impeccably clean facility. Very much enjoyed our stay here. The views are breathtaking. If you’re coming to San Diego there is no other place to stay.
