The chiropractor & Rachel are both amazing, friendly & thoughtful. The medical reception part tho . . . the reviews are correct. They really are disrespectful, rude, unhelpful, chatty amongst themselves, & seem super annoyed to have patients bother them. I love my doctor but this front office staff has always made a visit there a very unpleasant one. Can someone do something about that to help improve the SYHC image?

Short Story: long wait times to see your doctor (up to an hour), rude staff behind the general front desk An example: I was scheduled to see a specialist one day. I was repeatedly told by general front desk that my specialist wasn't in that day and was prompted to reschedule even though she had just called me. The woman at the desk looked annoyed that I wanted to make sure and tried to explain that she was for sure in. I ended up leaving since they wouldn't even bother to check her office. 10 minutes after I left, my specialist calls to ask where I am. Turns out she was in that day waiting for me. I took off part of work for that appointment. Every interaction that I've had with their front desk usually ends with one of them coughing an attitude. The 2 stars are for the other 2 departments I've been to as they were always very nice and welcoming.

Dr. Amanda Dappen, is by far one of the most thorough and absolutely the best doctors I've seen. I feel very Blessed to have her as my physician.

Show up early for fasting blood work and this office would let me go to the lab to wait. They keep in front waiting area without informing the lab I was early and waiting. This will be the last time I come to this facility. This did need screen temperature and randomly picked who they made wait without the departments that we were waiting. Don’t come to this facility if your in a hurry or like be early for your appointments cause n one cares here. Waiting lobby city not a health care facility!!!

Great location, for Seniors the MTS stops steps away. Front desk and Security are "the Greatest". From the days of Mr Harrison to Dr.Sean Rodriguez, this place has saved my life , literally!! My only beef is the dentist office, which too chatty, and insensitive to us homeless. Dentist functions like an intern and can never explain reason for a procedure

(Translated by Google) The ones in the front desck. They serve whoever they want first if they are happy, it is going well if they do not leave you all day. (Original) Las de el front desck. Atienden a quien quieran primero si estan de buenas te va bien si no te dejan todo el.dia👎

Never had a bad experience in the years coming here. The two receptionist are very friendly and awesome! One of the most impressive thing I've seen is the security guard raising the American Flag! She always stands at attention after raising and securing the flag! That is PURE AWESOMENESS! 👍👍

Who likes going to the Dr lol but at least when you go you want people to care and to have some type of heart well here is a hit and miss the security is very polite some front desk is too but it a couple people in that building that can take some patient care classes or just act like they like their jobs but other than that it's a great place to get mental help at and healthcare don't pay no monda to negative people get the help you need it's a good place

Doctor Bonsu and the young lady at the front that checks you in are awesome. Very sweet and caring. The communication in making and keeping appointments is difficult at times though. You can not make appointments on the weekend and sometimes they don't keep appointments, push them around or don't reschedule you. Sometimes you have an appointment but don't even tell you lol. If you try and call when they are open, currently you would have to wait forever to get a hold of somebody or you would have to schedule a call back for like an hour later.

If you are picking your prescription from this place just make sure you call them first. I got there waited 20 and was told that they were not ready. Doctor had send prescription 2 days before but they don't refilled them until you confirm.

My PCP is here so I keep coming back. Parking is horrible... The employees take all of the open spaces in parking areas instead of parking on the street. That's a problem

This is not my clinic but I followed my current doctor here when she left the Chula Vista site. It seems ok . I'm sure it could be better. Need better follow ups.

Nice clinic. I have been going to the one in San Ysidro because is closer to my house, but my primary physician move and I decided to follow him. The staff I find is friendlier, no complaints anticipated.

My primary care no longer had the flu vaccine and I was told that I could get that vaccine here (with a change of primary care) so there I go rushing to do a walk-in within the hours they administer the vaccine to adults. I’m pregnant (third trimester) and waited a whole hour while the registrar ladies chatted up behind the counter until they finally called me - only to be told by the nurse that no one advised her I was pregnant and that she couldn’t give me the vaccine because there’s a “special” vaccine for pregnant women. There is no such thing as a “special” flu vaccine. I work around nurses for Kaiser and that is the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard. Never again will I pick a close to home facility and just drive myself up north for better service.
