Our new favorite place to hike with kids. The bridge is nice on top but the real fun is to hike down. Turn left right in front of the bridge if you’re on 3rd and Quince. You’ll see a small hidden path that goes down into the canyon. You can park on Quince no issues. Everything right now is super green and looks amazing. The bridge structure is perfect for pictures. The second bridge looks a lot like the steel used on the Eiffel Tower. Really impressive. We even found some natural clay they kids played with like play doh. We didn’t finish the whole path because it was going to get dark soon. Maybe next time. A lot of people walking around 6 pm on Sunday but not crowded at al. Feels safe. We took out 4 year old and he did great. Not elderly or wheelchair friendly unfortunately. Check my IG for more @artisticabysarah

Such a unique walking path so close to downtown! This was a very enjoyable hike, and a way to experience some nature in the city. Only downside is that there's a considerable amount of construction going on, making the place louder than ideal. Note: it is definitely more than a walk in the park, I would suggest wearing sneakers!

A good place for a short walk and so relaxing when you walk up to the bridge and go through the downtown. Good place for kids to explore nature and city lifestyle.

Beautiful neighborhood, with "a flavor" of San Francisco.

In urban area, between Bankers Hill, Mission Hills, and SD Airport/DT!!! Coyotes, birds, lots of cool nature, and a few old cabins! Amazing Bridges too!

When I need space from life it's only a block and a half away from my home. This is what I see when I get there. Going down into the Canyon it cooler air and the city sounds fade away. Silence and the view are a total different world is what is a block and a half back. You must be there in person to truly experience the serenity I get from the Canyon in my back yard.

Looking for a quick stroll in a unique part of town. Nice bridge a easy walk. I definitely would not go alone though. Saw a couple of transients, and hard to find entrance and exit.

Beautiful clean but need to improve the trail, rains have gotten it pretty narrow in places. Watch your step!

This is such a great outdoors hike located right in the heart of San Diego,CA. If you ever want to step away from the hustle and bustle of the city and don't want or can't travel far, then look no further than Maple Canyon. And it's super deep so you see nothing but trees and plants giving you the feeling you're far away from the city. I've even seen coyotes in this canyon personally. I'll add the video of that experience in this review.

Great place for a hike. It gets muddy after it rains. A section was under construction while I was there.

This is a nice little hike if you are going downhill; uphill requires a bit more effort but I was power walking, so perhaps that is to blame. The views were quite pretty and I will try to take this with more frequency now that I know it exists. I recommend it!

The brigde looks cool, but I think the park looks simple and quite abandoned, There should be more native plants planted down there because it looks a bit boring.

This is a nice hike that leads to a few of the bridges in this neighborhood, including the Spruce Street Suspension bridge. It's not the most exciting walk in San Diego but it's one of the more peaceful ones. Plus it's close to Little India where you can happily put the calories back on 😊

I couldn't find a safe entrance to the trail. The Google directions took me to a very steep entrance going down a hill with loose dirt. It looked like there might have been a safer part of the trail but it seemed there was no way to access it

Absolutely love the views from these little trails. You completely forget just how close you are to the city when you are down here.

The absolute BEST find in all of San Diego within minutes of downtown and without the crowds of people in nearby parks. I absolutely love Maple Canyon.

Fun little nature walk. Great for an evening stroll or a nice addition to your running route. Please don't litter and trash this area. Heck maybe even pick up a piece of litter on your way through. Keep this little gem clean and green for all to enjoy.

You can start at the bottom by accessing via Maple Street off of Reynard Way or start at the top via the Quince Street Bridge. Not long, not short, you get a great view of the 1st Street Bridge from here. The top of the canyon is a couple of blocks from Balboa Park and in the Banker's Hill neighborhood of SD. Great eateries are nearby and if you're a serious walker, Little Italy isn't too far away from the bottom end.

Nice little trail in the middle of San Diego. Not a crazy hike by any stretch, but a fun quick walk during the afternoon.

It's a good place to walk alone or with your dog, but they should improve it...
