Fantastic sandwiches of many varieties, plus great indoor and outdoor seating. Near the ocean but away from the crowds on the oceanfront promenade, but only a 2 minute walk across the street. I’ve been here twice. Fantastic!

Great food, good prices and very good customer service. This little gem by the Pacific Highway is located a short walk from the USS Midway Museum. We went for a quick morning bite on a Friday and we enjoyed the casual, laid-back, "surfer/Beachgoer" atmosphere of the place very much. Plenty of seats and tables (our table was a surfboard...cool!) A hearty breakfast sandwich, a big chocolate croissant and a cup of coffee came to $15, which is not too bad along this part of downtown San Diego. Recommended!

Freshly made delicious sandwiches, i recommend the hot surfin’ pig. They’re made really thick, i get full with just one half of it. Customer service has always been good, staff is really friendly. Restrooms are clean. Great music. I like to take mine to go and sit in front of the docks or waterfront park

Yess!!! What a perfect sandwich spot. Amazing food. Great service. Ideal location when touring downtown. Parking could be challenging. Great find. We followed our noses and were not disappointed.

Don't expect too much for the basic breakfast burrito. When I first walked in, I said good morning to the first lady behind the counter and there was no response, luckily the other person behind the counter was a lot nicer, otherwise that would have been a terrible experience before even ordering anything. I had ordered a cold brew coffee and a basic breakfast burrito. For the price, I was expecting a bit more to the burrito - it didn't come with hot sauce and I didn't feel like going back inside to ask for any as I was pretty hungry. It did the job and the cold brew was pretty standard as well. I didn't try any of their sandwiches, so the stars is purely based on the burrito and the service.

This place offers an impressive selection of sandwiches in various flavors, accompanied by both inviting indoor and outdoor seating options. While it is conveniently located near the ocean, it manages to provide a peaceful atmosphere, avoiding the bustling crowds typically found on the oceanfront promenade. In fact, it's just a quick 2-minute walk across the street. I have personally visited this establishment twice, and I must say it is truly fantastic!

Man, this is a great spot if you're in the area. We were at a wedding at the hotel upstairs and wanted some additional food. Cold beers and sandwiches that are absolutely delicious!!!! You won't be disappointed.

I really enjoyed the food here. The staff was very nice and friendly. This is now my favorite sandwich shop in Cali. 😋

Cool spot but way overpriced. Bread toasted nicely, but not a fan of heated up chicken for the salads or sandwiches. Would rather have it grilled fresh. Especially what they are charging.

Beach Hut Deli is a delicious lunch stop. The food was great! The sandwiches had so much in them that they were super stuffed!! The smoothies there are semi-customizable and amazing! The service was great! The staff were super nice! 100% recommend Beach Hut Deli!

Loved their sunburn chicken sub - the buffalo wing sauce went perfectly with the combination of cheeses! We ordered a large sub and it good to feed two people! The tiki shack vibe at the store was super cute.

Brit and Hal got our birthday party set up with premixed drinks and amazing sandwiches. This place is family owned and the service is awesome, the food is even better! Thank you Beach hut!

I'd skip this one. Service was relatively quick and pleasant for "fresh" made food but, downhill from there. Individual behind the counter was prepping food with no gloves and frequently used one's shirt to clean up hands after touching meats/cheeses. Sub was so soggy it fell apart picking it up to take a bite. If you've recently eaten here and felt ill at some point afterwards, it was probably this place.

This was my first experience. Other reviews are right. They don’t use gloves to prepare your food in a pandemic. And they refuse to change that. The drinks doesn’t taste good, but the food is decent. You can find better as a tourist, honestly.

Loved it! The view was great, the food was yummy (I got their tuna sandwich off of the Classics and chose the garlic cheese bread), and the coffee was delicious (I got a white chocolate latte). There was indoor and outdoor seating. Would make a great venue for an event. There was a full bar there too.

Fabulous little sandwich shop with a quaint atmosphere. I got the surfin’ bird and thought it was delicious and stuffed with a generous amount of all the best stuff (bacon, turkey, avocado…🤤). Will be back!

Outstanding sandwich. Made to order. Fresh and crisp where it needed to be. The sandwiches are big so come with an appetite. 😀 I’ve eaten here a couple of times when riding our beach cruisers. Definitely recommended and will be back for another sandwich.

Dead quiet in the store, took 25 minutes for two small takeaway acai bowls, with the guy not wearing gloves or washing his hands prior to cutting the fruit. You decide.
