A MUST VISIT LOCATION!! I had the opportunity to visit the Trident location to pick up coffee they were donating for a breast cancer charity event and I was blown away First, it's a veteran owned, community focused brand. If you dont know anything about the company, they are a good vibes only, smile big, and help everyone kind of team. The location in IB is an open air, chill spot that services almost the entire road bike community along with everyone else in the area. You're guaranteed to be greeted with a smile and there's so many rad pieces of decor to look at. The coffee!! They've got it set up like a micro brewery, because why not and technically it's is. With all of their amazing coffee choices on tap your problem is not going to be if you'll see something you want. But trying to decide from everything you'll want. No worries though, they have small pours to give you a chance to try them all. Want to grab and go? No issues you can pick up the cold brew cans they have on site and enjoy from the luxury of your home. The flavor profiles are amazing and unique to Trident. Yes, you can get regular coffee, but why? And they make keto coffee!! I guarantee you'll not find anything else around. This is a feel good spot, with feel good people, who enjoy serving and supporting with the same passion as they did when they served our country.

I love nitro cold brew, and this place has it nailed down! Really nice and knowledgeable staff, they really seem to enjoy working there which tells me they have great leadership. I’d love to see some flavored cold brew cans (mocha) in the future from this company.

The coffee is fantastic! I’m in love with the cold brew here, so happy there’s a spot in Coronado! The keto churro donut is really good, and the selection of cold brew is seriously the best

Cute veteran owned coffee spot with Navy traditional themed drink names, keto protein donuts that actually taste good, and just a really cool vibe. Def a place you have to check out, and try at least 3 different drinks!

Been a fan of Trident coffee when I first bought it in a local supermarket and loved the tastes. When I actually ventured to their store in Imperial Beach I loved the experience of hot beverages and their gluten free baking. Being able to add some supplements I like made me a forever fan

I’ve visited Coronado a few times and easily the best coffee on the island is at Trident. The range of cold brew options is great and the fact that you can have a sample before purchasing is very refreshing. Staff members, especially Yesenia and David, we’re extremely helpful. I personally recommend the Calm Under Pressure and the Damn the Torpedoes. If you love coffee, this is the place for you!

Really great coffee! The drip/batch coffee is so smooth it’s just wonderful. The flat white/espresso is also great. Haven’t tried the cold brew yet, but I’m sure it’s great too because all their coffee is great! Their donuts are good, but sort of a coffee cake style donut. But they are gluten free so that’s very much appreciated.

Tried out Trident after seeing all the great reviews and was disappointed. Got a latte and a Mexican mocha (both hot) and neither had much of a coffee flavor. My latte just tasted like steamed milk and the mocha was more like hot chocolate. Not sure if they only used one shot of espresso per drink or what happened. It seems like cold brew is the more popular menu item, and it may be great, but I would not recommend a hot latte.

Possibly the best cold brew I’ve ever had. Sandra was so kind and explained the different varieties. Great spot! Stop by and grab a cold brew before walking along the beach

Holy s***!!!! Run fast past the Starbucks next door and go to Trident. Their coffee is incredible and the grab-n-go cans of cold brew is brilliant (and delicious). But DO NOT sleep on the protein donuts, they are INCREDIBLE!! Low carb, high protein, gluten free and sooo delicious!

The staff is as nice as the coffee! Highly recommend stopping in to try the finest cold brew! ☕️ I got the honey lavender latte.

What a wonderful place! Enjoyed a delicious cold brew and donut on a magical sunday morning. Thank you! Edit: it was so good, I had to come back on the same morning before leaving town

I’ve enjoyed trying the canned products from local stores, but know that there are additional cold brews/seasonal flavors on tap, often exclusive to the shops, so I was excited to finally make it to Trident Coffee on Coronado. I had no idea they also served an array of foodie treats, other customized coffee options, and functional elixir options too. Quite the range of indulgent & health conscious items. I went with a jalapeño cheddar bagel (happened to be gluten-free; cream cheese was provided which is a typical pair, but would love the option for butter,) & was thrilled to see a 4-flight nitro cold brew offering available to try the various brews I’d yet to try over the years. I’m excited to come back and try more items, and I’m crossing my fingers for the return of peppermint mocha as I didn’t get a chance to try last year. Both staff members were lovely - Leslie directly assisted me & I appreciated her thoughtful input for all the questions asked about the items. Such a great experience here!

The girl taking care of us was very knowledgeable about all of their unique offerings and helped us navigate the menu as first timers. This place specializes in cold brew, but offers some functional espresso drinks w all kinds of healthy additions; you can also build your own functional coffee. My blueberry cobbler cold brew was awesome. Can’t beat sitting outside on a beautiful day w a great coffee in Coronado!

After exploring Coronado I went to trident coffee and tried their MIDNIGHT VIETNAMESE- sweetened condensed milk with organic mct oil and activated charcoal which at first tasted like a regular latte but then I noticed the unique flavor.

Great coffee and a easy walk to the beach. Speciality is cold brew and they will let you taste test. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We ordered two ice lattes, a churro protein donut, chocolate banana bread, and a chocolate donut. The churro protein donut is very cake-like and could be substituted as a meal. We enjoyed everything including the conversation with staff. It is a smaller location with a few seats. If wanting to spread out head down to their imperial beach location.

Great coffee shop & unique. We got the nitro flight trying out the son of a son of a sailor, trident, calm under pressure & el capitan. The son of a sailor was our favorite. Also tried their iced honey lavender latte which was also good. Not too sweet. Would definitely come back and try their other coffees & pastries.

This place is a donut and coffee paradise! The maple pecan & churro baked donuts were delicious, and the americano & horchata latte were excellent. Quality ingredients shine in every bite & sip! 🍩☕️

The cutest little shop. Had a great selection from cold brews to teas. Love that they have pumpkin for the fall time. The pumpkin spiced chia is definitely something you should try before its gone. The customer service was amazing thanks to Diego , even asked what milk I wanted , I tend to forget to ask for oat milk so he was extremely helpful with that reminder.

This place is CRUSH! Richie was friendly and fast. Please get the Old Fashioned Cold Brew.. DALISH. I also got a whole milk latte.. blended perfectly. And of course I tried a bite.. maple pecan protein donut... dense, moist, flavorful.. and a scone.. it was perfection. Thank you, Trident!

Delicious cold brew, infused with various flavors for a unique taste. We got the son of a son of a sailor and new Orleans cold foam and recommend both!

Excellent cold brew & friendly staff. Gave me samples of all coffee on tap. Loved the Mexican mocha. And my favorite black cold brew was Damn the Torpedos. They offer a discount to 1st responders & military🇺🇸

We found this little gem during our visit to Coronado Island. Richie was awesome and made us great creative coffee concoctions. Try the nitro cold brew on tap. A local favorite if your a coffee lover.

This place was incredible!! We got the horchata latte and sampled a few of their cold brews. Their marketing is on point and I really wish we had one of these close to home. The employees were friendly and very well informed on their offerings. They actually seemed to enjoy their job which was so refreshing to see! We bought my husband a cool wind breaker here too. Definitely check this place out if staying at the del- it is one of a kind!!

I ordered the “Link in the Chain” nitro cold brew. It tasted aggressively like blueberries. Like a non-coffee drinker could probably pick up the taste. Specialty nitro is hard to come by, so drinking it from anywhere is a treat, but this is the best I’ve every had!

Awesome place! Great coffee, and I really love the vibe of the place. I had the rising tide dark roast and it was delicious, dark and bitter (a true dark roast!). Definitely recommend picking up coffee here!

Delicious coffee and friendly barista. They have T shirts and other souvenirs if it’s your first time there or feel like supporting them publicly. Definitely worth the visit.

This is really great coffee! And a wonderful little keto bakery as well. All cold brew on tap, though the menu suggested all options can be served hot.

I typically don't care for cold brew because I find it's usually bitter or tastes weird. They've done something right here because theirs is extremely smooth and tastes great! Try the Son of a Sailor with some MCT oil! PS: Expand to Seattle. Have one of your MI cousins manage it :-D

Enjoyed a “Anchors Aweigh” and “Son of a Son of a Sailor” nitro cold brews. Also was pleasantly surprised by the delicious keto donuts! Looking forward to coming back!

Top pick on the island for coffee & a gluten free, vegan bit to eat!!! Not only is it nitro cold brew, they have many options for coffee and flavors & milk options! My favorite no added sweeteners, only the pure sweetness from the monk fruit! Now back to their gluten free options, healthy, vegan, dairy free donuts with many selections & Gluten free bagels! A must stop!!!!!!!
